I have one simple question for Barrack Obama.  You appeared on MTV in 2008 and said that you believed that marriage was between one man and one woman.  You said it was because of your Christian faith that you could not condone gay marriage. Then, in your inaugural speech you said, “If God ‘Truly’ Created Us Equal, Homosexual ‘Love’ is Equal as Well.  Explain the change?  Why isn’t your faith stopping you now?  -Mario Murillo

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama opened his second inaugural address by quoting the statement from the preamble to the Declaration of Independence that all men “are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights.”

He then went on to say that if men were in fact created equal, then homosexual “love” must be equal as well.

“What makes us exceptional, what makes us American,” said Obama, “is our allegiance to an idea articulated in a declaration made more than two centuries ago: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’”

“Today we continue a never-ending journey to bridge the meaning of those words with the realities of our time,” said Obama. “For history tells us that while these truths may be self-evident, they’ve never been self-executing; that while freedom is a gift from God, it must be secured by His people here on Earth.”

A bit later in his speech, Obama returned to the theme of God creating all men equal, and this time tied it directly to his belief that the “law” should extend equal treatment to “the love” of homosexuals.

“Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law, for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well,” said Obama.

Obama has endorsed same-sex marriage. “I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” Obama told ABC News in May.

Both the Old and New Testaments condemn homosexual behavior, and, in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus Christ affirms the definition of marriage first presented in the book of Genesis as the union of a man and a woman.

“Some Pharisees came to Jesus testing Him and asking, ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?” says the Gospel. “And He answered and said, ‘Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but on flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Newsweek reported, based on an interview with Obama, that he grew up “without any particular religion” and was baptized at the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago sometime in the early 1990s.

“Obama’s religious biography is unconventional and politically problematic,”Newsweek said. “Born to a Christian-turned-secular mother and a Muslim-turned-atheist African father, Obama grew up living all across the world with plenty of spiritual influences, but without any particular religion. He is now a Christian, having been baptized in the early 1990s at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.”

Brother Mario,there are actually lots of christians at my church and they are proud they voted for this man and I really do not understand.I love them but this grieves me very deeply it’s like they don’t see his true character or it doesn’t matter.Doesn’t it say in the Bible we are supposed to elect godly leaders?Aren’t we supposed to put that before our pocketbook or the color of a man’s skin?I’m so glad you are telling the truth b/c it’s like if we are against what he stands for we are trying to divide & start a race war.I would truely love to vote for a christian black man that is not hell bent on destroying everything God stands for,

  2. It’s called I’m in my second term and can say what I really believed in 2008, but couldn’t say then because it would have hurt my election chances. Either way, what he said was a lie, and all liars are going to the lake, so it doesn’t really matter what he professes to be. And to Gail, don’t be surprised. The great falling away has to happen even though it grieves us to see it happening right before our eyes, and in our very own churches.

  3. thank you Frank it just makes me really sad ,but I know you are right “societies falling away from the things of God ,the Word of God.2 Thess.2:3,4 I was just meditating on those scriptures the other day.It’s hard when people you believed were grounded in the Word of God are going estatic over his re-election.I don’t even know how to pray 4 them .I know a friend of the world is an enemy of God and we have to pray 4 our enemies but what are we supposed to do ,we are supposed to pray 4 our leaders & those in authority but at what point do we say that is against God’s law and I’m not going to let my taxes go to fund abortions.At what point does a pastor say I’m not going to marry two men even if the law says I must ? Are God’s moral laws supposed to take 2nd place to man’s laws?Where does a christian draw the line? Is it when they tell me it is against the law to have my Bible ?Does the church not see where we are headed with 1 compromise after another?God have mercy on us ,that’s all I can say right now.

  4. Dear Brother Mario,

         I appreciate your ministry and God has used you TWICE in my life to bring physical, miraculous healing, for which I am ever grateful to Him for!  You have been a beacon of light in this dark age! 

          Last fall, you spoke a lot of a 14 week revival service in Santa Rosa, which was very exciting, but since it got closer to the election and ever since, I have grown a little concerned that EVERY one of your new posts has been politically-based.  Don’t get me wrong, there is PLENTY to talk about on that account, and personally I can’t stand our leftist president, and believe that his agenda could well be the end of us, IF God does not intervene, as you have also said.

           I just miss hearing about the miraculous healings and awakenings that God is doing through your meetings, and don’t want to see you get sidetracked by the “urgent” rather than the “CRITICAL” that God has used you for all these years.  If Satan can do that – get you more focused on this world and it’s politics than exposing what he is doing to drag this generation and the church down, then he will have gotten you and your powerful ministry out of his way, which cannot happen!  You have been a fly in his ointment for decades now, and one of few truly reputable evangelists.  While pointing the way out of the political lie machine is important, there are plenty of others who make their careers and calling to do that.  You have a mightier and weightier responsibility!  Satan would like nothing better than to get you to spend your time on earthly matters.  Please don’t let him!  Get back to what He has called YOU to do.  I want to hear about more demonic strongholds being destroyed,  children and gang-bangers giving up violence,  drugs and hopelessness  for Jesus’ hope and everlasting life!  I want to read testimonies about physical healings leading to spiritual revival.  This world is discouraging.  Yes, we need to know how to pray for our “leaders,”  but there are lots of sources who can let us know that.  I do understand that the best way for evil to flourish is for good men to do (or say) nothing.  I have appreciated your willingness to step out on that account.  But I and others in the church need to hear more about what you did say recently about God bringing our loved ones back to Himself.  Many hearts are heavy and need to read and hear more about this.  It feels like your messages have been leaning (90/10) on the side of politics.  I’m sure that you have not abandoned your true calling, but it would be appreciated to at least bring the balance back to at least 50/50 or even 80/20 on the side of spiritual warfare and revival/testimony that encourages and challenges us spiritually.  I also don’t want to see Satan be able to divide and cause people to NOT hear you because they start thinking of you only as “right-wing” or having a political agenda yourself.  And they will.  I think this is why most people admire Billy Graham – he never really (except once with Richard Nixon and then during this election cycle when he put in the full-page ad endorsing Romney) got into the political arena.  While there is a place for it – and, don’t get me wrong, I admire your courage in going up against this evil and corrupt socialist dictator disguised as president,  and we need to be reminded to take a stand for righteousness, I also believe that there is a deeper evil we need deliverance from and God has put you o n the front line s of THAT battle!  We need to hear, through you (as well as others, but this has long been your ministry focus) both what God is telling us and how He is being faithful to pull souls out of the fire. 

           Keep up  the good fight, faithful servant of Christ!
