This blog has blasted off in a way we did not expect. It has ignited a passion of a massive number of people for revival and reformation in the United States. Like all weapons in the hands of God it must be refined. Some things about this blog will change and some will not. Let me begin with what will not change:
1. Despite the opinions of a few of my peers I will continue to speak out against the agenda of the White House.
Some believers think it is not our place to hold the president accountable for his actions and to limit all comments about him to prayer. We respectfully disagree because while I believe prayer comes first, obedience comes next. A central part of my calling is to speak out against evil.
We wish we did not have to speak out! Many times, I have envied Billy Graham, Oral Roberts and Kathryn Kuhlman, not for their considerable anointing but because their times did have the open threat from government. As a matter of fact, No evangelists in American History have ever faced such open hostility.
Obama invents rights and redefines hate. He does this to plow under anything that stands in the way of his plan to fundamentally remake America. Here are two examples out of a thousand I could cite:
A. Obama turned contraceptives into a “basic right,” to justify plowing under religious freedom. Obama said, ““No, you can’t deny women their basic rights and pretend it’s about your ‘religious freedom’.” When and how did contraceptives become “a basic right?” This invented right is how he can force Christian organizations to go against their conscience by buying and offering contraceptives to female employees. This is but the first step in the elimination of religious freedom.
B. Ministers have always opposed Gay marriage on moral grounds. Today it is called hate. How did it become hate? By framing it as hatred Obama was able to bully many pastors to leave their Bible out of the pulpit and out of the voting booth. Will it soon be considered hate for a minister of the Gospel to refuse to conduct a gay wedding?
He will apply this “basic rights” tactic to justify control of energy, guns, wealth distribution, and most of all to sidestep the American Constitution.
We did not pick this fight. It came to us. I am convinced that the White House jumped into our yard, to use its power to invalidate Christianity in America. This is the most openly anti-Bible administration in American history. We will speak out. Silence in the face of this evil agenda is in itself evil.
2. This blog will work much harder to present solutions and not just problems. This will mean less blogs since we will not just be reporting events but also analyzing and presenting answers and encouragement.
I remain convinced of a coming national revival. I do not see end time prophecy as one sided. The last days are a mixture of setbacks and opportunity. This is no time to hunker down and hide. Each blog will endeavor to end with a constructive reaction to evil.
It is also a part of our mission to obey 1 Peter 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.”
It is our hope that every day we can arm the people of God with answers to this dark and challenging time.
3. We are also going to use this vehicle to encourage revival and to report revival. We want to provide you with details of great miracles and breakthroughs as they happen.
Tonight I am preparing for a return to Santa Rosa. I have not been in the Santa Rosa Fire since last October but I rejoice in its ongoing momentum and look forward to 3 great services there.
Finally, thank you to all who made this blog an unqualified success!
