Taking Back Stolen Fire!

Taking Back Stolen Fire!

By Mario Murillo

Santa Rosa saw a true revival.   When people from a hundred mile radius commute almost every day for 15 weeks and crowd out the church well before starting time, it is revival.  When healings go off like fireworks in every part of a meeting hall and sinners coming sobbing to the front by the score every night, it is revival.

What was my personal highlight of the Santa Rosa Fire?  It was that moment of unity over breakfast with pastors at the famous Church of the One Tree.  This was one of the most supernaturally orchestrated gatherings ever.

My spiritual father Ralph Wilkerson lives 450 miles south of Santa Rosa, and yet he got a word from God that if the pastors of Santa Rosa would meet in the Church of the One Tree, God would fall on the region.  This Church was constructed entirely from one Redwood Tree in 1870 and was made world famous by Ripley’s Believe or Not.   The building is owned by Santa Rosa and was moved to Juilliard city park.

Pastor Steve Puleo knowing nothing about the message from Ralph Wilkerson felt led to reserve this church and was about to tell us when we told him about the word from the Lord.  I can’t tell you how we rejoiced at this miracle!

The date was set for Thursday August 30, 2012.  Here is the letter that went out:

Dear Church, Ministry, and Business Leader,

“In response to the ongoing revival services with Mario Murillo, now in its ninth consecutive week, churches in Santa Rosa will be hosting a regional prayer breakfast for pastors and business leaders. This gathering will take place on Thursday, August 30th at 8:30 am, and is located at the historic Church Of One Tree in Juilliard Park in Santa Rosa. Mario will address this sustained move of God and its implications to this region and beyond. This is a significant opportunity to unite under the banner of God’s Kingdom will, and join our hearts in prayer for a move of God that will revive the Church and transform our culture for the glory of His Son.”

One Tree

Pictured above is the historic gathering in the the Church of the one Tree.  It was a glorious time of rejoicing and burying hatchets.  Our hearts burned with unity and faith.  We knew that the revival would now rage into a regional awakening embracing all races and crossing denominational lines…but, the thing is, it didn’t.

Evangelists are rarely this candid so listen up!    Satan rose up and blunted what could have been a historic turning for millions.  There are 3 reasons that the Santa Rosa Fire did not reach its destiny:

  1. It is a mystery
  2. I can’t tell you yet
  3. Some leaders felt threatened

However this blog is not about correcting leaders.  It is about a work that Christ has done in me to bring me back to Santa Rosa.   When Satan robs you, you have to take it back!   I should have known better than to simply walk away.

There is no such thing as a revival that is not challenged by Lucifer.  He is insulted and threatened by revival.  Revival affects him like nothing else.   He rages against it.

Jesus gave me 1 Samuel 30: 8 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

I am asking the soldiers of Northern California to come join me for a fresh outpouring tomorrow in Santa Rosa!

America, today in a very real way, we are all from Santa Rosa.  If this weekend becomes what I believe it will become, revivalists across the land will be ignited to recapture any fire that the enemy has stolen.

  1. Mario,
This is answered prayer you reporting on stolen fire. The church would say that God would never permit such a thing, but it happen to me as God sent me to Denver Colorado as a sent minister functioning in The Office of the Prophet. I saw the stolen fire in full effect and a people reject God.
