Believers bashing believers over Bruce/Kaitlin

Back in the day, parents felt guilted into reading Dr. Benjamin Spock.  “Understand your child without correcting your child,” became the mantra of modern parenting.

Modern Parent/Daddy watches 7 year old Jeffrey play with his food. Out of nowhere, the imp grabs a large portion of degraded spaghetti and throws it in daddy’s face.  Without changing expression daddy calmly says, “Jeffrey, I know you are trying to tell me something.”

This morning the American Church woke up to Christian pundits who wanted you and me to slowly wipe away the spaghetti and say, “Bruce Jenner, I know you are trying to tell me something.”

Here is one example:

“What I AM doing is asking my fellow believers to get over however repulsed they might be by the sin around them and let their ears hear our culture’s cry of desperation, the cry for identity. It’s louder than it’s ever been before.”

Get over however repulsed we might be?  YOU CAN’T BE SERIOUS! We are so over our revulsion to sin! We are so, so into hearing the cry!

The very idea of a massive, intolerant church is nothing but a cruel fantasy. There is not a city, hamlet or berg anywhere in America today that does not have an outreach ministry standing ready to answer the slightest whimper.  America is overrun with ministries to the homeless, single moms, addicts, and every other human tragedy you can name.

Somewhere at this moment a Christian worker is braving their way into a crack house.  Last night, a staff member in Any Town, USA sat up all night with a vomiting heroin addict.

In communities everywhere, pastors walk out of county meetings with tears running down their face because their plea to add a youth center has again been denied by a liberal city council.

The media has falsely applied 60 lashes to the American church.  Do we need yet another lecture/lash on tolerance and acceptance from within our own ranks?

This propagates the monstrous lie of liberals.  They take a zit like the Westboro Baptist Church and use it to equate us with ISIS.  We should be exposing this false equivalency, not enhancing it lecturing believers on intolerance.

But here’s the real proof that the vast, right-wing, intolerant church is nothing but a canard: The church growth movement.  This marketing scheme feeds a pastor’s lust for new members.   They have more zeal than competing car dealers.

Seeker churches run to and fro to make known their devastating need.   They pine for you to visit their convenient campus.  You will be out in an hour and pastor is nothing but a harmless video.

Sin is not mentioned for fear of losing people. They vigilantly guard against any hint of Christian doctrine that smacks of repentance.  Their sonar is turned all the way up to hear the faintest heartbeat of a potential tither.  We have something for everybody!

Yes, indeed, my fellow pundit, we have achieved the non-judgmental utopia for which you yearn. We are the all-accepting jelly fish.

The compassion you claim we do not have, we have in spades.  We have a full complement of real compassion and a gigantic overdose of false compassion.

Are you asking a desperately listening church to listen harder?  This condemns those who least deserve it while excusing perversion where it is most glaring.

That tact is how we got into this mess in the first place.   We feared putting souls under conviction.  We could have drained this moral swamp by now; instead, we kept condoning and capitulating and played right into the hands of Satan.

And the Bible could not disagree more: “And if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—  if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.  This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority.” 2 Peter 2: 7-10

Peter is telling us, “I know these times make you sick, and they should, but God is able to hold you and keep you clean!”  That is what we need to say to the church.  Amping up the guilt on Christians already worn out by persecution is just wrong.  Comforting them and explaining their natural outrage is true compassion.

Do we hear our culture’s cry? It seems to be the only thing we do hear.  The one thing we do not hear is the cry of God as He grieves over a sin-sick nation.  He yearns to arm us with authority to stand and take our nation back.

  1. I love you Mario. I am sure that GOD is pleased with your uncompromising efforts to warn HIS children. May GOD continue to bless you and yours.

  2. Great word thankfully there are many who have not bowed their knee to Baal, thanks for being a spearhead.

  3. The path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more until the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble, Ponder the path of thy feet ,and let all thy ways be established(Proverbs 4:18-19,26 This path does not refer to one decision but rather a series of decisions or a lifestyle. God is saying to “ponder the path of your feet”,see what path are you on. One path leads to brightness; the other to darkness. Psalm 115 says that when you are on this path, you will increase..more and more unto the perfect day.Job says “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. That is how God works. You don’t always get where you are going overnight, but God promises to increase you more and more each day. Once you get on this path , there is nothing Satan can do to keep you from increasing. Get off your own path, and get on God’s path.

  4. I posted your Christians attacking Christians concerning Jenner issue. I posted it on fb but not see its not there. What happened?

  5. Believers bashing Believers because of Bruce Jenner. I posted it, but now I can’t find it on my page. Does your ministry monitor this or did fb? This is an excellent commentary, and everyone needs to read it.
