Three voices say we are racing toward judgement

This is way bigger than the presidential election

By Mario Murillo

Because of America’s decadence and ever-spreading rejection of God, along with the “unrelenting assault” on Christians and their beliefs, this nation “is in deep trouble and on the verge of total moral and spiritual collapse – unless God intervenes,” said Reverend Franklin Graham, son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham.

America has been weighed on the scales and found wanting. And the days of the Republic may be at an end.

This from Franklin Graham, who has a biblical warning for the United States, that Americans could share the fate of the Babylonian empire.

In a recent post on his Facebook page, the son of the legendary evangelist Billy Graham told the story of how the Babylonian king Belshazzar was shown the writing on the wall from God’s hand, telling him his reign was over because he did not honor God.

Graham concluded:

“What’s the writing on the wall for America? As a nation we are found lacking because of sin and disobedience to God’s Holy Word. We have not honored Him. If we don’t turn back to God, I fear that our end will be near.”

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, the bestselling author of “The Harbinger” and “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” said Graham is echoing some of the themes he has talked about for years.

“Sin leads to judgment,” said Cahn. “This law touches not only individuals, but nations and civilizations. To whom much is given, much is required. A nation that has been especially favored with God’s blessings and the revelation of the Word is much more accountable concerning judgment. This applies to America.”

Cahn claimed America was founded out of the pattern of ancient Israel.

“If America ever turns away from God and His ways, the blessings of God will be removed from the land and the judgments that came up on ancient Israel will come upon America,” he said. Cahn argues that is precisely what is happening with “continuing manifestations of judgment” appearing in our time.

“As I have always said, God is in charge of the timing, but as it is now, America is continuing decisively in its descent to judgment,” he concluded.

David Wilkerson:  “God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations.  He is destroying the secular foundations.  America once stood proud and tall, full of purpose and promise. Our entire society honored God, and the Bible was held up as the standard for our laws and judicial system. Even during my lifetime, school textbooks consisted of lessons and stories from the Bible. Jesus was acknowledged as the Son of God, the One who gives our country favor and untold blessings.

Yet, in our prosperity, we became like ancient Israel: proud and unthankful. And we’ve fallen a long way in a short time. God has been pushed out of our court systems, out of our schools, His name mocked and ridiculed.  Our society has totally lost its moral compass and as a result, the America that once stood tall is now crippled, like a bruised reed.  God is going to judge America for its violence, its crimes, its backsliding, its murdering of millions of babies, its flaunting of homosexuality and sadomasochism, its corruption, its drunkenness and drug abuse, its form of godliness without power, its Luke warmness toward Christ, its rampant divorce and adultery, its lewd pornography, its child molestations, its cheating, its robbing, its dirty movies, and its occult practices.”

For the first time in 48 years of preaching I truly feel the hand of God against our nation.  Something has left us…something that I always counted on.   Never before have I felt the ground beneath my feet shifting as God is dismantling our pride and our rebellion.

It may be possible that the church can still be blessed and unified without widespread persecution but I sincerely wonder if we have crossed the line.  No one who reads this should dare ignore the call to repent and violently seek mercy.

  1. 2. Curious, why hasn’t he “judged” the European countries yet? The African countries, the Islamic nations? Why is only the US responsible for say – slavery, global warming, pollution, colonialism, racism, the horrors of abortion/euthanasia, mistreatment of Christians, decadence, sexual immorality, etc and on and on? Come on, folks – if God judges in theses days of “hyper-grace” the way ya’ll say Europe would be a wasteland, Saudi Arabia’s oil would dry up, Japan (who spews animated porn everywhere) would slip into the ocean, all the European nations, including Scandinavian which have abortion/euthanasia, China? FORCED abortions. Why hasn’t God judged them yet? They’ve been around WAY longer than Lil ol us.

I for one am just a bit tired of all of this. What arrogance that because we American Christians get some persecution “the end is here.” Christians around the WORLD are getting WAY persecution than us. Now I personally would not like to see it get that far here, but come on.

      1. To whom much is given, much is required. We have been blessed as much or more than any nation in the history of the world. God doesn’t settle his books every Saturday night Becky , but he does settle.

    1. The nations of Europe have definitely been judged by God over the centuries. England and Spain lost their world dominance. Germany certainly received judgment at the end of WW2.

    1. It’s right there … Just read it…please open your eyes about America, no other nation except ancient Israel has been this blessed….

  3. Israel was a nation that was founded on a covenant with God. When Israel didn’t abide by the covenant, God sent judgment. When they continued to forsake the covenant God removed them from their country. The United States is a covenant nation and we have benefitted from that covenant with God as long as we kept our end of the covenant. A covenant is when two or more parties come together to make a contract, agreeing on promises, stipulations, privileges, and responsibilities. Those on the left are wanting to replace the Bible as the standard, replacing it with
“politically correct” and saying that it has more compassion than the Bible, and they seem to be requiring that anyone who disagrees with them “repent” and see the error of being a hater/Christian. Here is a description of what the presence of God was like in the United States in the mid 1800s: “A canopy of holy and awesome revival influence—in reality the presence of the Holy Spirit—seemed to hang like an invisible cloud over many parts of the United States, especially over the eastern seaboard. At times this cloud of God’s presence even seemed to extend out to sea. Those on ships approaching the east coast at times felt a solemn, holy influence, even one hundred miles away, without even knowing what was happening in America.
Revival began aboard one ship before it reached the coast. People on board began to feel the presence of God and a sense of their own sinfulness. The Holy Spirit convicted them, and they began to pray. As the ship neared the harbor, the captain signaled, “Send a minister.” Another small commercial ship arrived in port with the captain, and every member of the crew converted in the last 150 miles. Ship after ship arrived with the same story: both passengers and crew were suddenly convicted of sin and turned to Christ before they reached the American coast.”
That is the difference between the United States and other nations. God blessed us and we have turned against Him and He will judge us for it, and rightfully so!

  4. You are right, Pastor Mario. Only repentance and getting the compromises out of our lives is going to save this nation. And He is starting with the Church. Sinners do what they will do, but when the Church is blending in with the World, we can no longer expect Him to continue blessing us. And those ministers who continue to tell us that He loves us too much or has too much for us to do, or whatever, to judge us, and that judgment is not for the day we live in, are doing us a terrible disservice. The staggering division in the Church mirrors the division in this nation. Christians cannot even get along, and it is turning people away from Christ. Wake up, Christians. Let’s get our houses and attitudes in line with Him.

  5. Precious ones ,Yes according to God,s word ,God came down to see Sodom and Gomorrah and judgement came , Jonah was sent to the wicked city Nineveh and repentance came , I see thesestorms ,fires and floods are causing the Body of Christ o call forth repentance and also see the authority that we as the Body have over these disasters , The whole creation groans and we groan within ourselves to see the manifestation of the Sons of God ,
Yes I believe we will see judgement will come but God will pour out His Spirit one more time and hold back His judgement for a season ,
May Thy kingdom come Thy will be done n earth as it is the n heaven ,
Love and shalom from Israel ,
