5 REASONS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT TRUMP

The enemies of Trump suffer from short term memory loss.  They salivate every time he goes through a crisis.  “This is it. He’s finished.”  How many times must I tell you—he thrives on crisis—he wins when he loses—he has a resilience not of this earth. Stop pinning your hopes on his demise; it’s a spin class in futility. Here are 5 reasons why.

5 REASONS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT DONALD TRUMP

By Mario Murillo

He will not be impeached.  He will not even be censured.  The next four years and more are his.  Hate me, laugh at me, despise my writing…it does not matter, he will survive.

To all who support Trump, there are 5 reasons for you not to worry.  I am not even going to get spiritual about it.  I am not going to give you a glassy stare, feign some prophetic moment, and speak in a breathy tone.  Just the facts.

1. The poll numbers are skewed against him. Scientists have shown that when people have a favorite candidate who is attacked by the press they go silent. They still support the person, they just won’t tell you.  Many, many more than we hear about still support Trump.

Moreover, Americans have a deep sense of fair play.  They go for the underdog.  Our people see the flagrant, wanton and disgraceful attacks on Trump by the media.  They are giving him a break for that.  They also understand his rookie mistakes, he is not a politician… we didn’t want a politician, remember?

Here’s the tragic part for his haters…his base still believes he loves America and wants to make her great again.

2. It’s the economy, oh thou lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind. Unemployment is at a 16-year low, and the consumer sentiment levels are at near record highs. When all the background noise settles, and the voter, with a good paying job, stands before the lever to vote—the thought of returning to an Obama economy will horrify.

3. He has plenty of time to win back those who have turned against him. Listen to Jake Novak senior editor at CNBC:Both party establishments still need a vote-getting leader and President Trump already has the White House leadership role they covet. He has enormous executive power at his fingertips and the ability to win over some doubters with even the smallest backtracking like his recent ousting of Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon, or just the passage of time.”

4. The other side still looks way worse. Two men trapped in the woods are suddenly charged by a bear. One man takes off barefoot the other stops to put on his shoes.  The runner asks why are you doing that?  The other replies,  I only need to be faster than you.

Chuck Schumer annoys his base, let alone the rest of us.  Elizabeth Warren is a shrill throated hater of the white middle-class worker.  Bernie Sanders’ economy from Mars plays well only because pot has been legalized on campus.  Maxine Waters is a VOTE FOR TRUMP  machine.  Nancy Pelosi is, well, Nancy Pelosi.

5. Millions are praying for our nation. I do not agree with everything Trump does. If he asked me I would have some strong words on certain things.  What I cannot deny are these things:

He put a conservative in the Supreme Court.  He stands with Israel.  He is against abortion.  He wants to remove the hideous Johnson Amendment that took away freedom of speech from preachers.  He wants to secure the border.  He is working to stop other nations from abusing us and harming us.

Thoughtful believers see past the fog.  They see what I see, they are praying for his protection, for wisdom and for God’s  favor.   Those prayers will be answered.

Who am I to say this last part?  Mr. President, shake off the distractions and remember the message that put you in the White House.  Keep on making America Great Again.  The rest will take care of itself.

Charlottesville: Killing big fat lies.

I waited for some of the dust of Charlottesville to settle.  I didn’t want to write a knee-jerk, click bait blog about that tragedy.  Now I am prepared to respond.  We were all sickened by the violence and hatred.  Nevertheless, we must have truth.

I waited for some of the dust of Charlottesville to settle.  I didn’t want to write a knee-jerk, click bait blog about that tragedy.  Now I am prepared to respond.  We were all sickened by the violence and hatred.  Nevertheless, we must have truth.

In A Man for all Seasons, Sir Thomas More is asked to arrest a man who was bad and dangerous, but had broken no law.  More said he would not overrule laws even to arrest the devil.

William Roper: “So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!”

Sir Thomas More: “Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?”

William Roper: “Yes, I’d cut down every law in England to do that!”

Sir Thomas More: “Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ’round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!”

In Charlottesville, great lies were put forth—big fat ones.  But those lies were celebrated because they are lies that will allegedly rid us of racism.  Today’s leftist would break every law to get at the evils they see in society.

Without debate, without law, as the police were ordered to stand down, Antifa protesters destroyed private property.  Sorry, it doesn’t matter what you think of the property.  The rule of law was broken.  Today, it is a statue, tomorrow it could be your house…while your children are sleeping.

Many of today’s liberals are disgusting traitors to liberalism.  Clarence Darrow and Edward R. Murrow—liberal icons, would have been among those who would condemn removing monuments illegally.  They would ask, “where will it stop?”

When will this move on to banning Tom Sawyer or perhaps burning books?  Already we see the insanity in Chicago where a pastor wants to remove everything associated with…are you ready, George Washington!

The media will never admit this: not all of those who came to protest the removal of Confederate Monuments are white supremacist, and some who came to stop the protest are, themselves, racist.  To deny this is to lie—a big fat one.

Many on the left love to say that America is institutionally racist.  That myth was shattered by the election of Barack Obama.

However, those who scream institutional racism only want you to see one brand of racism.  They refuse to condemn their own racism.  They also refuse to see how our culture is codifying and institutionalizing a new racism.  This is the worst form of racism.

It is the worst because it is intellectualized, it is trendy, it is good for business.  It provides camouflage for acts of tyranny against innocent people.  It replaces old oppression with new oppression.

Terms like white privilege are no less racist than saying black privilege.   In many colleges right now, white students must—in the name of education—take sensitivity training to understand what their whiteness has done to society—that is racist.   When dorms post signs saying whites are excluded—that is racist.

When members of Black Lives Matter chant “Pigs in Blanket”, or “what do we want? Dead Cops”—that is racist.

Another big fat lie: we are for diversity.  This one makes my head explode!  Google fires an engineer for expressing an opinion.  Now be honest, and look at this this statement and see if it hits you with the same boatload of irony it hits me:  We are for diversity, but since you disagree with our diversity you are excluded. You’re fired!”

People planned to picket Google until they received death threats from Antifa.  End of debate.  That it!  They want all debate to end.

My friend, the left is against diversity.  They can only survive when group think is enforced. In simple terms…they want everyone to think the same way…otherwise, common sense leaks in.

It is this breathtaking hypocrisy that allowed the University of California—the birth place of the Free Speech Movement—to ban free speech.

What we are seeing is a culturally acceptable ethnic cleansing.   The left is in such a fever to cleanse that they have removed all reason and accountability.  They are so diseased with self-righteousness, that they were outraged because President said in Charlottesville there was hate on both sides.  Huh?

If the phrase “All Lives Matter,” offends you, it is only because you don’t believe all lives matter.

ABC, CBS, NBC are instruments in this cleansing—this one-sided point of view.  Television is reducing complex subjects to emotional arguments.  They have blurred the line of reality and indoctrination.  Edward R. Murrow saw this coming and said, “Our history will be what we make it. And if there are any historians about 50 or 100 years from now — and there should be preserved the kinescopes of one week of all three networks — they will there find, recorded in black and white and in color, evidence of decadence, escapism, and insulation from the realities of the world in which we live.”

It is at this point that squeamish believers look for an inspirational bottom line—pithy encouragement.  It’s not that simple.  We are in a season where all who love freedom must wake up.  We must see that our lukewarm prayer is out of order.  The sermons of denial must be replaced with prophetic vigor and a burning conscience.  This is the most dangerous moment in our history.

WHY BRANSON?

Why Branson?  Why would God do this?  Most people who come to Branson love America.  They come to escape the sadness of our decaying nation.  They come in search of an America they once knew—an America that was stolen and they wonder, “Who took away my country?”

They take in the shows and the attractions, but eventually they must go home.  That is when the loss of their nation is most keenly felt.

Why would I come to Branson?  I remember my reaction when local leaders invited me.  My first thought was “no way!” And, “how do I put this delicately?”  So, I explained to them, my ministry is to places where drugs and violence ravage young people.  And furthermore, we were using neutral buildings not churches.  So, that was that.

Then I prayed.  His unmistakable voice said, “You are coming to Branson in August and my Glory will be revealed.”   So as Peter once said, “who was I that I could withstand God?”

It was only after I agreed to come that I heard an amazing prophecy about this place.  Corrie Ten Boom was flying over Missouri.  She looked down and did not know the city that was below her.  Gary Smalley the author heard her ask what town that was below her—it was Branson.  Then he heard her say, “The Glory of God is going to go forth to the world from this place.”

It was 2 years ago this month that I began to preach in Branson.

The fuse was the healing of two women on Sunday Morning, August 23rd.  I asked one of them to place their hand on the back of the neck of the other.  I told them that there was a vertebra bulging.  Then the neck bulge flattened.  Then both were healed.  Now the audience burst forth in praise.

Word spreads.  That night the audience doubled.  Then something happened in the people.  It would become the trademark of Living Proof Branson.  Hundreds of hearts become one beating heart—a heart with unending passion for Jesus.

The audience itself became the great witness.  Yes, there were healings. The preaching hit lost souls.  None of this matched the power of the people’s hunger.  Their worship was so pure that it removed all resistance to the anointing.Within days, crowds began forming as early as 4:30 every night get seats.  Reports of divine healings, and dramatic conversions replace local gossip over lunch counters, in stores, and at schools.

There is a moment when the power of God can stun an audience into silence—a moment when people give each other a knowing look, a look that says, “this is not going to fade with time, no one will ever be able to talk me out of what I just saw.”  That moment came and never left.

Why am I telling you all of this?  Because now after a long gap, God has ordered me back to Branson.

On Sunday night August 27th, I will join revivalists from all over the Midwest.  People will bring the unchurched—they will bring the sick and addicted to receive miracles.  They will come full of expectation for something—not of this earth—to happen.

This will be a night of towering glory and power—not because of me, but because of prophecy.

You see, the thing about true prophecy is that it can come in waves.  It can surge and them seemingly vanish…but, just when you think it’s over, it can rage up in even bigger flames.  Nothing can stop the Word of God from its appointed goal

If you are supposed to be there don’t let anything stop you.  If you are quickened to pray for this night do not hesitate.  Most of all, bring a soul that needs Christ!  Be on the front row when God visits us in great power and glory.
