75% of pastors have not taken a stand

75% of pastors have not taken a stand in their pulpits on the midterm elections. Think of that.  With the highest stakes ever—and the Christian vote essential for victory—they have not talked about this election.

Do you doubt it?  Go by your own experience.  You will not only know it’s true, but it may be more than 75%.  Did you hear anything last Sunday?  Are you being instructed on the issues and who to vote for?  Are you hearing excuses instead of conviction?

If the polls are right, it will take a miracle for Republicans to keep the House of Representatives.  It should never have come to this.  The Christian bloc should have won easily.  Tens of millions of Christians had the power to vote the left out of office.  So far, they haven’t.

If Nancy Pelosi returns as they predict she will, the Democrats will instantly seize the Russia investigation.  They will move to impeach Trump and will even go after Kavanaugh.  Expect a torrent of subpoenas and gridlock. Expect a recession.  She’ll be back because pulpits are afraid.

I am an advocate for pastors.  They have an impossible task today.  There are many great men and women of God in America.  That is what makes this virtual blackout on the midterms so bewildering.

Think of it.  If a pastor is anything…they are a watchman.   Do they understand how the sheep will suffer in a world of anti-God laws, hateful leaders, a trashed economy, and nation that will be far more divided that it is now?  No matter how high-sounding their words—if they failed to protect the sheep from the one thing that will cause them suffering—they failed their most basic duty.

One of them said, “I will not allow divisive politics into the Kingdom of God.”  My, doesn’t that sound right.  However, it’s the pastors who refuse to speak up are the ones bringing “divisive politics” into the Kingdom of God.  We who speak out are bringing the Kingdom of God to evil.  Let me explain.

One of these silent pastors came up to me and said, “Mario, you are too political.” I thought “I’m the one who’s political?” I asked them “why aren’t you warning the church to vote against the evil of the left against the church?”  His answer was “it would divide my church and effect my finances.”  So, I said, “you mean it would cost you votes, and campaign funds?  You’re the politician not me.”

This evil began as politics but has darkened into something that hates America and what we stand for.  What we are trying to stop is not politics—it transcends politics.  It is a Satanic agenda we are attacking.  Ever since Obama, it stopped being politics and it became spiritual warfare.

The decision to seek self-preservation above the good of the people and the nation is the kind of politics that would make a leftist senator proud.

But there is another villain in this situation and I am calling you out.  If you threatened your pastor—by removing your money or your influence—if they were taking a stand for the Republicans in this election,

I don’t care how right to be a Never Trumper or a pro Democrat Christian you think you are.  Boycotting your church and intimidating your pastor is wrong—you should be ashamed.

If you don’t know what is at stake—if you don’t feel it is a natural extension of your faith in Christ to oppose abortion, legislation of immorality, and censorship of the church—if you attend church regularly and didn’t know how  much we stand to lose by sitting this one out…blame your pulpit.

BUT NO MATTER WHAT VOTE!!  Vote against the destruction of our freedom and our values.  Even though it appears likely Nancy Pelosi will the Speaker and Maxine Waters will be on the finance committee—vote!  Vote! Even though the experts are saying it is too late for Trump’s last-minute campaigning for beleaguered Republican candidates.  There is still time for a miracle.

  2. Mario you’re right again!…Reading my bible this morning at James 2:8-11, as he recites the ancient law scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself”, and we’ve heard that being quoted recently quite a lot after the crazed Bomber and horrific shootings at the Synagogue… actor Tom Hanks put out a blue banner with this scripture written on it. But what is so revealing that James identifies regarding the ancient ROYAL law given through Moses, is that riveting defining part about, “For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point is guilty of breaking it all”! James goes onto recite other parts of that law saying, “For HE who said Do not commit adultery, also said Do not murder. So if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you are a law breaker.” Point being, how can ANY legitimate Pastor who preaches either the ancient Royal Mosaic law or the New Testament law of freedom in Christ, not take a stand for righteousness? They are obviously counting civil law and civil leaders as inconsequential ignoring the new covenant Apostolic mandate and teachings while giving access to their own congregants to make agreement with breaking the Royal law – sin of murdering of the vulnerable innocent unborn babies due to their own silence in the pulpit. What is right to vote against? CHRISTIANS I’ll say it again & again…you cannot vote for liberal Democrats without making ‘agreement’ for & with murder of innocent unborn Babies and the immoral construct of allowance and alliance with all their policies!…You simply cannot be a born again Christian and go on doing that when you do YOU become a participant breaker of God’s perfect law old & new. Know & remember this type of behavior is what brought Sodom and Gomorrah to God’s final edict of destruction.

  3. This is another Esther moment for the church. If we keep silent (in prayers and votes), Hell is waiting at the door.

  4. I agree with the article, but when you ask “Are you being instructed on the issues and who to vote for?”, pastors of tax-exempt churches are not allowed, while in the pulpit, by law to endorse a candidate if they’re a 501(c)3 church.

    1. Dear Bob, Thank you for your comment. Here’s my take: the Johnson amendment is the single most unconstitutional and unenforced law ever. For decades Black Churches openly endorsed candidates from their pulpits with no consequence. Michelle Obama stood in Ebeneezer Baptist church and said, “it is your duty to Jesus to vote for Barack Obama.” There is not a single instance of the IRS removing a church’s status for endorsing a candidate from the pulpit. And even if it came to that, Peter’s words apply “we should obey God rather than man.”

      1. Alott of churches under the 501c3 where the government had control of the pulpit God is removing all this very sad that Pastors are afraid of losing their flocks if not standing up for Jesus its about time we do but God is shaking His church too. President Trump revovked the Johnson Amendment

  5. Thank you–I know this is wrong but I am one of those that quit going to church. Actually politics was the secondary reason..
One of the reasons I liked my church was due to my Sunday school group and of course the pastor.
In the summer they kept bringing in this one guy who had the whole group spending their time bashing other religions, I’m talking Christian religions. This made the group very uncomfortable for me. Yes I did talk the the particular pastor in charge of our elders and he seemed to agree that it was not appropriate for our group to do. However I was told I had to talk to the group leader. Before I could do that the leader’s wife asked that we pray for an Illegal who had been picked up by ICE, & then all the Illegals being wrongfully picked up by ICE since Trump. One person did speak up but I was so uncomfortable I didn’t even know what to do. Try as I might I could not go back to the church. Took me two Sundays to get my car back into the parking lot, but could not force myself into the building.
Yes I miss Church, but it took me a long time to find a church that I felt comfortable in & not lost. If you are in a mega church you are just a seat holder unless you can get into their activities. Even getting involved doesn’t seem to help either.
Praying for America, you and all our churches.
    God Bless You All.

  6. Here’s what we now know… MSM is flooding the public with fake poll numbers to discourage conservatives from voting: 1) If you think it is hopeless for your candidate to win, will you vote? 2) If you think your candidate will overwhelmingly win, will you vote? 1) is a “no” and 2) is probably a “yes.” Keep preaching that we all need to vote in faith that God will do miracles for us!

  7. Donald Trump has repealed the Johnson amendment but Congress needs to remove it, Besides, there has NEVER been any action taken against ANY PASTOR taking a stand for biblical principles from the pulpit. FEAR the LORD ONLY and SPEAK OUT TRUTH.

WE WILL HAVE AT LEAST 10 REPUBLIVCAN SENATORS WIN SEATS OVER DEMOCRATS ON TUESDAY. AND AN INCREASE OF AT LEAST 5 HOUSE SEATS.

PAULA WHITE HAS BEEN MINISTERING TO THE WHOLE TRUMP FAMILY SINCE HE CALLED HER BROADCAST IN 2000. HE IS BORN AGAIN & SPIRIT-FILLED. AND LOVES THE LORD JESUS AND AMERICA.

WE REBUKE ALL THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS AGAINST HIM. HE IS A MAN OF GOD WITH MIKE PENCE STANDING WITH HIM IN PRAYER DAILY. LIARS WILL SUFFER FROM ALL THEIR ACCUSATIONS AND THEIR HEARTS WILL BE STRUCK BY THEIR OWN ARROWS OF THEIR LIPS.

  8. I could be wrong but I’ve a sneaky feeling Paula White is doing this for Trump family as a paid job! I have issues of trust now with my dear sister in Christ.
