Samantha Bee appeared out of nowhere—just like the wicked witch. Her mission was to politicize the Wizard of Oz. She began by saying the Wizard of Oz is a story of a family separated. Then he likened it to Donald Trump’s immigration policy. She proceeded to promote her program Full Frontal—a title that, of course, is a term for nudity in film—during a program for children. Who knows, perhaps parents had to explain the meaning to children watching the children’s classic. And why should they have to?
However, that is small compared to the rest of her commercial. The title of her special—which you should avoid like nuclear waste—is Christmas I.C.E. TBS should be ashamed of running this putrid and misleading commercial.
The toxic creativity in the title is impressive. Begin by culturally appropriating Christmas. Go from there to a double entendre of the word ice. It makes you think of ice shows and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
However, I promise you, that’s where the creativity ends. You can watch her act, but whether you are liberal or conservative you will find she is not funny, not creative, not truthful, and most damning to an audience—she is boring.
It is all by design. You need to understand the left. They want to politicize everything. They believe that their version of the truth should be rammed down everyone’s throat. I.E. having drag queens read to children in libraries. They ooze with Trump derangement syndrome to the degree that anything available must be commandeered to condemn and destroy Donald Trump.
All Thanksgiving Day long you witnessed left wing seizure of a once innocent and wonderful family holiday. You used to be able to watch the Macy’s parade without nods to sexual equality. You could watch football without spoiled brat millionaires kneeling in protest of the National Anthem…and you could watch the Wizard of Oz.
The elite leftists took a day that should have been free of all things political and made it about all things political. America…I got to ask you, when will you finally be fed up with the left’s mission to drain the color and enjoyment of everyday life, let alone sacred holidays.
It is time for sane Americans to flex their muscle the way the left does. We need to punish the companies that foment this garbage. I am not defending the theology of the Wizard of Oz. I am saying that to tens of millions of Americans it is a family classic that should have been enjoyed without the extra, unwelcomed witch.
