IS TRUMP TOO RUDE?

The president wrote, “If I ever meet you on the street, you’re going to need a new nose job and a supporter below.”  At a Jewish Seminary in New York, he blurted out “I am King Cyrus!”  The thing is that wasn’t Trump…
It was President Harry Truman.  Okay, here’s a president who puts his intention to commit felony assault in writing—imagine that tweet!
He essentially calls himself the reincarnation of King Cyrus—delusional?
Oh, and did you know he tried to get power to draft an entire labor union into the Army to punish them for striking?  Trump is tame by comparison.
Imagine what CNN would do to Harry Truman today, if Harry was a republican.
Mark Twain said, “facts are a stubborn thing.”  It’s a fact Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson nursed greater hatred for the media in their day than Trump does today.

This historical perspective shows us Trump is not the madman, the media needs him to be.
Notice I said need.  They need to destroy him.  It is a bottomless need.  It is a need so intense it consumed all rational journalism.  Facts are irrelevant. Any good Trump does must be ignored or twisted into evil.  They have sold their souls.  Alec Baldwin said, “there is no way to be too nasty to Trump.”
The need has reduced them to pathetic, blithering automatons who must tell the most trivial lies about him: killing goldfish, and how many scoops of ice cream he takes.
Instead of learning from the spanking they got during the election—they increased the dosage of venom.  It’s no longer about ratings—as CNN so eloquently proves—it is only about destroying Trump, even if it means self destruction.
A football player gets punched but the ref doesn’t see it, but he does see the victim punch back and flags him?  Times a million, welcome to Trump’s world.
Not only is Trump not crazy.  Not only are his outbursts understandable.  He has behaved with greater restraint than his predecessors who could never imagine this tyranny of fake news. -Mario Murillo

1. Truman letter to Paul Hume:

“Mr. Hume:

“I’ve just read your lousy review of Margaret’s concert. I’ve come to the conclusion that you are an ‘eight ulcer man on four ulcer pay.’

“It seems to me that you are a frustrated old man who wishes he could have been successful. When you write such poppy-cock as was in the back section of the paper you work for it shows conclusively that you’re off the beam and at least four of your ulcers are at work.

“Someday I hope to meet you. When that happens, you’ll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!

“[Newspaper columnist Westbrook] Pegler, a gutter snipe, is a gentleman alongside you. I hope you’ll accept that statement as a worse insult than a reflection on your ancestry.”

  1. Thank You Mario for saying what my husband & I have been thinking since the election, PR-Trump is tame in comparison to PR-Truman.
The American citizenry didn’t say, “Give em hell Harry!”… for no reason.
#Come back to your senses America!!🇺🇸

  2. Amen Mario! And it’s high time those who are called Christians get in touch with God and His plan, stop being offended at Donald Trump (a champion for them), and start cheering for the right team. When I attend my grandsons’ ballgames I don’t sit and cheer with the opposing team so they will think I’m nice. Check and see if you are seated in the right section. Come up to a higher seat in the grandstands where you can get a clearer picture of the conflict, then cheer on the team to victory!

  3. Keep speaking the truth, Mario!
The media makes up their own version of our president and
hates that version claiming it to be Trump.
It’s all based on lies and hatred and we all know who originated them…
People who know the truth of God’s word truly know lies when they see them.

  4. Excellent, Pastor Mario. I’m forwarding it to all my contacts in the hopes that they will forward it to the never-Trumpers on their lists.

  5. The vitriol from the Lost, has become Reprobate Insanity. The vitriol from Believers is heartbreaking. And the extreme lengths they will go to make their point, is scary. Please Mario, write a piece about how to deal with believers who are in camp with all this. I keep making suggestions to “friends” to perhaps look around at their fellow haters, and see exactly those they are in “agreement” with: Anti God, Pro-abortion, pro LGBT, pro socialists, antiAmericans, islam, blasphemers, filthy amoral hollywood, vagina hat wearers, and on and on. Yet they hang on to their hatred, claiming to be “above” those who are cheering the President on. Is it supernatural blindness? Does Truth not matter at all? Write an apologetics blog, that explains, instructs those of us who are trying to reach the Blinded. I have used everything I know, including pointing out the failures of some of God’s most powerful chosen men, who were often scalliwags who sinned, failed and stumbled, but God still used them for HIS purposes. Even calling one a “Man after my own heart”. Nothing seems to penetrate this hatred. No amount of reasoning. Nothing. I did not like O. for many reasons, Partial Birth Abortion being the main thing, but I didn’t go to the extremes nonstop of what is going on today. Actually I would never have dreamed of doing so. It seems to be a spirit. Help us.

    1. Jayne, I am open to your suggestion. Clarify for me if you think Christians who support Trump have gone too far. It just seems to me that the hatred from never-trumpers and the left are far and away worse than anything Trump supporters are doing. Just asking for clarification.-Mario

  6. No. Absolutely not. I think God is urging us to Stand for him! So many are praying for him, fasting and praying. I think personally that many pastors are scared to take a stand these days For anyone, or Against anything. I happen to know several pastors personally who are praying with him weekly, by phone conference. He asked for that and according to one I’ve exchanged with, he wants prayer, counsel, advice and has prayed himself. But those believers who hate him, won’t let go of it, no matter what you tell them. They seem to Delight in hating him. And if you remind them that God puts Kings on the throne, for His purpose, they explode. If you tell them that he has prayed to receive Christ, they explode. Eight years of winking at everything the last guy did and now griping about ice cream? Or his lovely wife? Or young son? It is off the chart, especially considering those they are in agreement with, as I mentioned before. I tell people all the time, “Look around! See who’s side you are on. Look at your fellow haters? Do you Really want to be in their camp?” I’ve been called every name in the book and some I’ve never heard, for supporting the first President to EVER attend a ProLife rally. (Abortion-a-phobe was the best one) By Christians. I’ve thought of just copying and pasting a quote from your blog last week – the one that ends with ”what else do you need to know?” – On every disparaging remark. Because it is True. What else Do we need to know? Pro abortion, hate Israel, etc. What do YOU say to those you know who are such Trump haters? Those who are your friends? It seems it has become INSANITY. And there is nothing Holy about it.

    1. So true Jayne Farrell!🤓
My own 86 year old Mother says she hates PR-Trump and is a devout Democrat, then when I remind her what AP-Paul said in Romans 13: and that she herself says she loves Jesus, her little eyes grow dim, confused & unfocused. Bless her heart. She swears by CNN saying “they tell the truth about Trump!”
I truly believe this Donald Trump hating thing is an other worldly spirit of darkness, a “spirit” with intention, meant to bring harm, to wreak havoc on this nation and definitely directed to CONFUSE & ALARM those who’ve claimed Christ as their Lord at anytime in their life.
This is truly the only explanation for why many claiming Christianity as their faith, went ahead and voted into civil authority a majority Democrat House of Representatives. Had they been in their right frame of mind and spiritual reference, they’d have known what they’re seeing happen right now, a complete stand off, between the branches of government, with no end in sight, and this pattern is how it will be for at least 2 more years. NO one in their right thinking heart would’ve done that cognitively.
The rest of us who GET IT spiritually, will just have to pray & hope that this action by the dazed Christians who actually voted Leftist & just don’t realize it. We will have to take the proverbial BULL by the horns (no Wall Street pun intended) participate & activate a FAITH COVER over this nations economy, due to satan’s strategy to DESTROY the U.S. completely. The enemy knows a “busted economy” is an outward manifestation of a ‘spiritual famine condition’, that will decimate America this time.

  7. How funny! I would love to see Harry S. Truman take on the media of today. And I would love to see their faces if he had made those statements to them…and you are right. Trump is a whole lot more restrained than that. Yes, I do think he is rude sometimes and his words sometimes make me cringe; but I know he is the president we need for such a time as this and if he weren’t the aggressive, get in your face type person he is then he wouldn’t be the president we need him to be.
