Obama still weakens the church

Critics falsely accuse Trump of making the world more dangerous.  The truth is, it was Obama—with his foreign policy of weakness and capitulation—that intensified international tensions.
Obama continually gave things away, getting nothing in return but contempt for America.
He also made life more dangerous by leaving behind operatives in every aspect of government who are fiercely loyal to him. They carry his hatred toward so many aspects of our way of life.
Trump on the other hand—by refusing to accept anything but victory—defused the danger level of the world.  He also is rooting out weakness in government. It is his direct attack on the deep state, more than anything else that has unleashed the rage being poured on Trump.
Obama’s weak approach to crisis is the bane of leftist thinking.  Underneath, is the belief that victory is not possible. The best they can hope for is a tenuous treaty.  Nothing is settled.  The undercurrent of defeatism ran through all his policies…he found a half-cure for everything.
Our social programs do not imagine full recovery for anyone. That is why they are riddled with drugs and defeatist therapies. That is why they despise Bible solutions to moral and physical problems.
I know you may find this to be fantastic but none the less it is true. You would be shocked how many ministers hold Obama as a hero and worship his defeatist style.
Tragically, the church learned Obama’s way of making things more dangerous.  The trend in church is to get people to like us better.   Ironically, it only made them hate us more.
This explained defeatist preaching that withholds scripture, repentance and the promise of becoming a new creation. Modern ministers too often have become the great disablers. Their programs inflate dependency every bit as much as government programs.
Arthur Matthews was an amazing man.  Decades before American Pastors began imitating Obama apology tours, and detente with evil, Matthews saw it coming:
“Old Testament examples of prayer at work portray most dramatically for us the believer’s authority over all the power of God’s enemies.  There is a finality that will not be gainsaid in the way the superior strength of alien armies is disposed of as God’s servants. This finality is not seen in the political bargaining that characterizes our day.  Compromises are made, peace treaties are signed, and the peacemakers move to other danger spots; but the fighting still goes on.  Are we allowing our disillusionment with the world’s acclaimed peacemakers to influence our thinking on spiritual warfare?  Are we really convinced our call is to spiritual welfare and peace through victory?”
It’s almost as if he is asking, “are you acting like Obama with the things of God?”

Christian leaders need to examine themselves for this hypocrisy.   Ask yourself, “have I condemned Obama’s defeatist approach while practicing my own version of it?”
Another examination should center around outcomes.  If the intended goal of the “user friendly church” was to reduce hostility, then why—under their watch—has hostility towards Christians, and laws banning religious freedoms increased dramatically?
They didn’t hate us like this when we preached boldly.  It is possible they instinctively felt contempt for our compromise?  They respectfully disagreed back then, but are repulsed by us now.
Nowhere is this defeatism more glaring, than in the attitude of the church at large, towards prayer and revival.
They don’t really believe prayer and revival can change our world.  They don’t pray as if prayer had power to change society.  They don’t preach revival because they can’t imagine it happening to their people. They see their congregations as coddled masses not willing to pay the price for revival.
Trump shows us that peace through victory means calling someone’s bluff.  Trump did that to Iran when they threatened us with end of the world if we walked away from that hideous agreement Obama made.  It was all talk.
Christians leaders must learn to do that with Satan.  Call his bluff.  Tell him he’s the defeated one!  Behave like Jesus won on the Cross.  Christian leaders must do that with culture.  Call the bluff of all those experts who insist we must alter our message to change society.
Listen again to Arthur Matthews: “In any situation where Satan dominates and threatens, God looks for a man through whom he may declare war on the enemy.  He purposes that through this man Satan be served notice to back up, pack up, and clear out.”

Peace through victory calls the devil’s bluff on the biggest level.  It declares that the Earth can still be enveloped by a massive act of God.
By holding to a policy of peace through victory, Trump has already seen results no one could have imagined.  It is time for Christian leaders to repent of their defeatism and embrace the power of prayer to make tangible changes in the hearts of men and women and to impact world events.
Arthur Matthew said, “It is the man who prays who exercises supremacy even over international situations.  Men are going to have to acknowledge the peace will not be brought through politicians, but through the intercessor who has learned to wage spiritual warfare and wins peace over the principalities and powers in high places.”
P.S  Pray for our president.

WHY IT WILL BACKFIRE

Emboldened by overstated victories, and the madness of the media, the Democrat party will persecute the church with abandon.  I believe we’ll see it almost immediately. The mood—the one that pleases people when Christians are harassed and blamed, is upon us.  I am warning you it’s about to spike, and the mindless ferocity of it will surprise you.

A moment like this is recorded in the Book of Acts: Acts 12:1-3, “Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church. 2 Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword. 3 And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also.”

As I prayed, I experienced colliding emotions of dread and excitement.  The Holy Spirit made it clear that persecution against Christians is going to spike in the United States in the next few months.  He also made it clear that this would touch off a towering flow of miracles of healing.

Satan wants America destroyed.   It is the grand prize.  With America gone, the devil can unleash worldwide devastation.   But the global tyranny that he craves cannot happen until the American firewall is removed.

He also knows that he can only destroy America from within.  Somehow, he must pit us against each other.

The only deterrent to civil war at this point is Christianity.  Notice that I do not say the church, I say Christianity.  The church is sidelined by equal parts division and denial.  The Christianity seeping out despite religion is the only thing protecting us.

The devil’s weapon of choice is hate.  He must foment hate.  Today, that hate is coming from the very people claiming to be fighting hate: secular progressives, and social justice warriors.  You have seen how the things that were once loving, moral and trustworthy, including marriage, manhood, military service, freedom of speech, witnessing, the Bible and, yes, freedom itself, are now hateful.

God has been lovingly warning the American Church.  He has repeatedly ordered the church to stand as one against immorality, but she has flatly refused.  God now reserves the right to use persecution to wake up the church and spare the nation.

Is there any good news in this?  There is much good news, but only for a certain group.  The core of Christians who refuse to side with the compromised church, and who are seeking Jesus, will be protected and used mightily.  Persecution will backfire!

The boomerang effect is seen in ancient Israel.  Exodus 1:12 says “But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites.”

After Herod arrested Peter, an angel appeared and brought him out.  This miracle ignited the church.  I am telling you what the Holy Spirit has told me.  Every vessel that seeks God right now will receive greater power and greater miracles.

Call it legend, call me crazy, but I know that this wave of persecution is here.  We can turn it all around.  We can regain lost ground.  Those who disobey God cannot escape this misery and those who obey God will granted special grace and increased supernatural power.

Paul wrote to a worried Philippian church to tell them about the shock outcome of his imprisonment.  It serves as a promise to us of what is about to happen as a result of persecution in America.

Philippians 1:12 “And I want you to know this, dear brothers: Everything that has happened to me here has been a great boost in getting out the Good News concerning Christ. 13 For everyone around here, including all the soldiers over at the barracks, knows that I am in chains simply because I am a Christian. 14 And because of my imprisonment, many of the Christians here seem to have lost their fear of chains! Somehow my patience has encouraged them, and they have become more and more bold in telling others about Christ.”

Writing about the book of Acts Church Matthew Henry said this:  “The persecution that was designed to extirpate the church was by the overruling providence of God made an occasion of the enlargement of it. Christ had said, I am come to send fire on the earth; and they thought, by scattering those who were kindled with that fire, to have put it out, but instead of this they did but help to spread it.” Amen!

A Dream Over California

I told the Lord I wanted to reach America. I immediately felt this in my spirit, “Then you must reach California.”

Five years ago, while preaching in Stockton, I had a vivid dream—the kind where you don’t know if you are awake or asleep.  I saw Highway 99. I saw it from Red Bluff all the way to Southern California. This artery of the great central valley is special to God. In the dream I saw a river—Ezekiel’s river flowing with great healing properties, trees of righteousness on both banks. The voice in my dream said, “This is a corridor of glory.”

I did not understand why I was getting this dream. It was hidden in the Spirit until just recently. It portends a miracle of a magnitude I can’t fathom. Especially when you consider the condition of Sacramento, Silicon Valley and Hollywood.

At this moment, these bastions of California have declared war—war on the Federal Government—war on the church, and has even declared war on science. For that matter, it has declared war on anyone or anything that disagrees with their radical agenda.

How far gone are California leftists? At his own inauguration, Governor Gavin presented neither a vision nor a plan for the nation state—he simply flew into a rant against President Trump and emphasized that California is a total sanctuary state.

Silicon Valley alone possesses power that boggles the mind. This bastion of technology and social media controls information like no other agency on earth. Right now, social media is an unchallenged mouthpiece to billions for leftist atheists.

Their power to brainwash young minds is beyond staggering. They have the power to shut down any voice they wish—and the voices they shut down are notably Christian, conservative, and patriotic. Facebook shut down Franklin Graham! If that doesn’t give you a chill, nothing will. If they won’t hesitate to silence the chief voice of Evangelical Christianity…what will they do to the rest of us?

California Assembly Bill 2943 has been delayed. It’s the bill that will ban the Bible by coming in through the back door. It means to ban any literature that suggests help for a gay lifestyle.

Faith doesn’t matter, fact doesn’t matter, science doesn’t matter and now, outcome doesn’t matter either. Sacramento politicians are one big never mind. Never mind that California is dead last in education and a slew of other quality of life categories. Never mind that they are spending like a thief with a stolen credit card. Never mind that innocent people are murdered by illegals they protect from being arrested.

California politicians, tech moguls, Hollywood and media have made an unmistakable declaration. They will remake America in the miserable and decrepit image of California. The are the black hole that can suck a nation into its abyss.

What can we possibly do about all this? What we do is put our natural mind aside and obey God!  What God says will stand. What God commands will triumph over the enemy. Never forget that California has been the catalyst to historic revivals and has launched worldwide Christian ministries. Those wells are still in the heart of California.

That dream has lain dormant in my spirit until now, when God said, “If you want to reach America, you must reach California.”

Here and now, I am announcing to you Living Proof California. Living Proof will follow the route I saw in my dream. We will set up our tent in key cities starting in the north and working our way south along Highway 99.

If you live in or near the cities of Paradise, Marysville, Sacramento, Modesto, Turlock, Los Banos, Fresno, and Bakersfield listen carefully: the tent is coming to a site near you.

It all begins in March in Marysville and will continue south like a mighty river of healing and salvation. Will these crusades turn California around? That is totally in God’s hands. What I do know is the Lord will hit demons hard in California. All we can do, and must do, is obey the voice of God.”

I am asking you to obey God by starting to pray right now. Pray for favor to finalize our permits on the very best sites. Pray for the workers to come into the harvest. Pray for protection as we expect high resistance from the enemy. Pray for abundant provision because we will be investing massive amounts of money to make this invasion possible.

The urgent message of this newsletter is this: The best way to touch America right now is to invade California. I couldn’t understand that at first, but now I do. It is the way of God to take the fight directly to the main threat.  I am hoping, with a great hope, that you will see this.

Acts 4:29-30 says, “Now Lord Behold their threats and grant to your servants that with all boldness they may preach Your word while you stretch out Your hand to heal and let signs and wonders be done in the name of Your Holy Son Jesus.”

California is a great threat to America. This state may have deep perversion and intellectual arrogance, but none of these things can withstand the mighty power of God. The Holy Spirit is at work to empower and guide a mighty invasion of California’s Central Valley. Pray! Get involved.  No matter where or what country you live in…you can pray! I feel a miracle on the horizon.  Click the link  below if you want to be a part of Living Proof California!  Details coming soon!

Strong medicine

There is a widespread spirit of heaviness on God’s people.  It is a crushing weight of care.  It is battle-fatigue from the constant shelling of bad news.   The media barks, “We interrupt this bad news to give you more bad news.”

Hearing the angry debates—seeing the rioting in the streets and Islamic terror attacks drains sanity from souls.

Not only this, we have to hold in enormous frustration: stupidity and wickedness get a megaphone—wisdom and righteousness get duct tape over their mouth.

These are the times that rob inner peace—that bring intense restlessness—that rinse the color and enjoyment from our life.

These are the times Jesus warned us of and gave us direction for.

First He said, “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost. By your patience possess your souls.” – Luke 21: 17-19

Talk about mindless hate! The liberal, and feminist bias toward Islam and hatred for Christ is mind-bending.  It makes zero sense.  Yet that is exactly the kind of irrational hatred our Lord predicted. It is a weariness to believers who openly share their faith.

Then He said: Luke 21: 34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth.”

The dumbest thing anyone ever said to me: “when you come to Jesus your problems are over.”  I never had problems until I met Jesus!  I kept wondering why am I being attacked?  Why am I being shot at from all directions?  Why do I meet stiff resistance every time I try to do something meaningful for Jesus?

Does this sound familiar? You walk through life, minding your own business and wham!  A coworker rages at you for no reason. Money evaporates.  Your health fails.  Loved ones abandon God.  A confluence of demonic attacks falls on you.  Life has never felt so cruel and unfair.

At the apex of one of these attacks something happened to me.  A terrifying thought became a glorious thought:  SOMEBODY IS MAD AT JESUS AND THEY ARE TAKING IT OUT ON ME!  Suddenly, I felt qualified to fight back. And I felt profoundly honored.

Think about it!  A soldier does not go to war because he has a personal grudge against the enemy.  He didn’t declare war—his nation did.  He is not responsible for the battle plan—the military is.  He is not paying his own way to the war—his government is.

Let’s rehearse the things that are not the soldier’s responsibility.  The training he needs—the weapons he needs—the food and shelter he needs—the assignment he needs…these and a host of other things are not his responsibility.

The soldier does not create the organized army.  He does not carry the weight of how the war will be won.

If he sits in the foxhole feeling alone and unfairly attacked it is because he forgotten who he is and why he is being attacked.  He has taken the battle into his own hands!

But when he remembers that he was recruited—when he recalls that he is not alone but a part of a victorious army and all he is called to do is obey orders—it changes everything!

When we take the attack personally we lose hope.  When we say, “The battle is not mine, it’s God’s,” we cannot be defeated.  Let’s stay out of things that do not concern us.  Let’s keep our conflict in the hands of God.  We must discern when we are operating in our own strength and by our own wits.

Remembering your attacks are not personal is plainly seen in these verses:  Luke 21: 12 “But before all this occurs, there will be a time of special persecution, and you will be dragged into synagogues and prisons and before kings and governors for my name’s sake. 13 But as a result, the Messiah will be widely known and honored.  14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.

When they were arrested it felt personal. When they were dragged to court it felt personal.  But when they were asked to speak it became God’s battle and Christ is glorified!  He gave them the words and the courage to speak.  He even told them not to prepare words beforehand.  That means that we are not to devise ways of fighting back.  It means we will get what we need when we need it.

Paul experienced the same thing: “Philippians 1:12 But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel…”

Right now we have a presidential election that embodies everything that is wrong with our nation.  It is a hair-pulling, maddening, terrifying and draining moment for believers. We must put the battle back in God’s hand and let Him replenish our peace and joy.

Never forget! We have the best message humanity has ever heard, and the best book ever written.   We have the best captain in the universe!  We have the all-powerful Holy Spirit sent to aid us.   We have access to power, strategy and wisdom.  All of this and more can direct our fighting.

Someone is mad at Jesus and they are taking it out on you?  What an honor!  What an opportunity!  When Satan comes at you let Jesus come at him!

The first time an angel stares at you in heaven with wonder and admiration for your service to Christ…you’ll know why your trials are worth it all.  The first time you hear “well done” from Jesus you won’t remember the trials.  No wonder Paul said, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”-Romans 8:18

Manufactured crisis

First of all, Trump is right to declare a national emergency to build the wall. More on that in a moment. What is truly disgusting is that Pelosi and Schumer still think this is a manufactured crisis. The worst part is where and when they said it.

They said in front of thousands of people who lost loved ones to murderers–murderers who had no right roaming among innocent Americans. Murderers that Nancy and Chuck still protect.

What is truly cold-blooded is that they know they are lying. They know we know they are lying. They stand there embalmed of all human decency and robotically reel off their talking points.

No compassion. Not even a nod to those whose husbands, wives, sons, daughters, moms and dads were taken from them. Women were raped, beaten to death with a hammer—neighbors shot, beheaded, dismembered—a young police officer shot and killed the day after Christmas by a man who could not be arrested in Nancy’s home sanctuary state of California. Most of them killed Americans after several arrests and deportations.

The real victims, said Nancy and Chuck, are the federal workers who  didn’t get paid during the shutdown.   But they did not lose a penny.v However, none of the real victims of the crisis will get their loved ones back.

What kind of a mind can draw a moral equivalence between a family that has lost a loved one to murder and a worker who at worst had their paycheck delayed? Chuck and Nancy think the unpaid federal workers are the greater victims?

The smug, dismissive, intelligence insulting tone, of leftist leaders confirms the fear that our nation is run by an elite class.  The are demagogues who deem themselves above any accountability or the rule of law.  An elite class that themselves, live behind walls and are guarded by men with the guns, the same guns they want to take away from us. This elite class is served by everything from the media, to late night sock puppet hosts, and Hollywood.

What you see should enrage you. They are telling you that they don’t accept Trump’s facts–facts backed up by those who enforce the law and work at the border. Schumer and Pelosi believe they decide the facts. They issue the only reality we are allowed to believe. They told you that you are too stupid and unworthy to draw any other conclusion than the official one that we give you.  Look closely at their expression it says, “when we want your opinion, we’ll give it to you.”

Trump is a true outsider. That is the root of all the hatred toward him. He shocked the denizens of the Washington swamp by actually keeping his promise. We all know that Chuck and Nancy voted for the wall but only changed their minds because Trump won. They have no motive but hate. They have no plan but to oust Trump.

The wall must be built not just for national security but for national sanity. At some point the people need to see the president they elected exercise the platform that won him that election. If ever a man needed to hold his ground on a matter it is Donald Trump. Do not give in Mr. President. Never!

You are right to declare a state of emergency for two reasons: 1. Drugs and killers are pouring in through the border costing us countless lives. 2. Democrats will let the disaster go on no matter what the cost in lives, so long as they can expand their voter base with illegals. Both are true national emergencies.

BRAVE CHURCHES

The way some experts talk you’d think turning a church around is a long hard road. But here is a solution much faster than we realize.  First, we must fix a grave mistake. Closing the altars, ordering people to tone it down, and focusing on recovery programs brought a crowd.  However, what if that crowd leaves with no power to face our toxic culture? Let people experience the power and glory of God at the altar. Train people to wait in prayer with them. Sound simplistic?

Right now we are awash in advisory sermons. The titles are similar and predictable: “How to handle fear, uncertainty, finances, relationships, marriage, and children.”   We are drowning in whiteboards, blackboards, statistics, PowerPoint presentations, props, and illustrations.

The problem is, the anger, division, loud perversion and persecution, people face outside the church make these teachers and their instructive messages are woefully inadequate.  What happened?  The answer is…life.   Life happened and it is gripping believers in deep need for something more than words.  You would be shocked to know how many would trade all the witty messages for a pure dose of the presence, power, and glory of God.

Happy face sermons do not give power over a time like this.   What is happening now runs off the over-optimistic maps drawn in pulpits. Tragedies can uproot  these neat formulas like a palm tree in a hurricane.   Hip theories will collapse like a brick house in an earthquake.

Every honest Pastor can report causalities in their church.  Many who were once vibrant soldiers, today languish in a shadow existence.  They are out of church, disconnected from their former passion and sick in body and soul.  The ongoing political debate and demonstrations have only added to the crisis. The conflicting opinions of church leaders leave the army of God baffled and vulnerable.

Why are we surprised that modern believers suddenly need more?  The power that could answer a thousand questions and extinguish a myriad of personality ills has been ushered out of church.

Paul’s cure was simple: an undeniable encounter with the fire of God…”that your faith should not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. -1 Corinthians 2: 5.

The answer to fear today is to burn it out!  Just for shock value, I’ll use this phrase…perfect love casts out fear but so does perfect fear.  No doubt many will think it is crazy to take a wonderful verse like 1 John 4:18 “perfect love casts out fear” and mess it up.  But I am not messing it up I am fulfilling it!

PERFECT FEAR DOES CAST OUT FEAR!  We have downplayed and even banned something that Christians desperately need.

Go back with me to 758 B.C.  Isaiah the prophet enters the Temple in fear for his life.  The tide of public opinion has turned against him.  The death of his friend and protector King Uzziah has put the finishing touch on 5 years of ministry that was just treading water.  His despair is now complete. He is enters the Temple looking for comfort from God.

He kneels in prayer, resting his elbows on the altar seeking solace from the storm. Instead, the building starts quaking, knocking his elbows so that he is now punching himself in the face.

He looks up and sees Seraphim:  Angels of fire, fire that burns hotter and brighter than any sun. They tower over him from each end of the altar.

Their voices roar, vibrate, boom and dislodge the mighty beams of the Temple!  “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.  THE WHOLE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY!”  Back and forth, again and again, they blast this mighty proclamation until Isaiah could not bear the fright!

The mighty God Himself stands before Isaiah unfurling the indescribable train of His Glory!  The prophet convulses beneath weight of glory.  From his bone marrow came an all-consuming cry… “WOE IS ME!”

The startling effect of the Glory of God—a wonder working fear—overrules human fear.   No threat matters now.   This demonstration of Glory conquered his suffering.   Isn’t this exactly what Paul meant?: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” -Romans 8:18.   Of course Paul is speaking of the final GLORY…but it is a part of our birthright to have earthly collisions of glory: “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”-1 Corinthians 12: 7   An overarching, fear destroying encounter is the legacy of every child of God.  “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all

The twelve disciples were gripped by fear of the storm.  But when Jesus rebuked the storm their fear of drowning was replaced with an awestruck wonder.  They exclaimed: “what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey Him!?”

We are told that General Patton won battles because his men were more afraid of him than the Germans.   Again, ours is not a negative fear but the  holy awe born from the manifestation of God’s glory.

This truth reinforces the fact that “Perfect love casts out Fear”  because love disciplines, love gives us what we need… and what we need today is a not subtle pat on the head.   We need a fear-killing encounter!  Solomon said in Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

Why are we blocking people from experiencing the fire of God?  Why would we keep this miracle from people?   I am talking about fire—fire that keeps them from the evil one—fire that forges a reverence, and turns them into your best soldiers.

We should have made room and time for people to be filled to prevailing levels of the Holy Spirit and fire.  If we had, we would not be nursing hordes of Christians on life support. We would have an unstoppable army!

There is still time to reverse course.  If you have never been drenched by God then obey Him and seek to be overcome by His Glory.  If you have received in the past now is the time for FRESH FIRE!

Just one believer who walks out of your church endued with power from on high will be a contagious force to grow your church in both quantity and quality.

Attacks

These are the most vicious attacks I have ever heard of. And they are not just happening to weak Christians—they are happening to well-known leaders.    I get prayer requests.   They are the most gut-wrenching I have ever read. It would not surprise me if you are locked in the battle of your life.  The times we live in are terrible enough but this is an added attack.

The flood of reports of these attacks put me on red alert.  I dove into intercession—searched the Word of God—reviewed the darkest moments of my life.   I tried to excavate treasure from my own victories in Christ.

I asked the God to help me understand the new vicious attacks and a formula from the Bible to fight back.  Slowly, the evil purpose unfolded.  We are dealing with an evil snake in a frenzy because his time is short.  The attacks seemed to fit into three categories that match the way serpents attack in the natural. Here are the 3 most blatant attacks right now.

1.The serpent’s bite. You feel poisoned and gradually losing control of your body and mind. Fearful images flood your mind. You reel under a cloud of confusion. You are exhausted. The least demand of your day can drain you. You may find yourself crying and unable to explain your emotions.  You are gripped with paralyzing feelings of dread and sense disaster is just around the corner.

2.The serpent’s squeeze. This attack came out of nowhere and changed your life in an instant. You feel like you are suffocating. You want to scream but your voice is trapped within you. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

The goal of this attack is panic.  The enemy wants you to do something rash.  The devil wants you to abandon your place in God.  He wants to deceive you into allowing permanent damage.

3. The serpent’s claws: This attack tears people apart. For silly reasons, people take offense. Disagreements escalate and kill relationships. Marriages are breaking up over trivial matters.  Churches are splitting over stupid issues.  Children are turning on their parents without warning.  Lifelong friends turn into worst enemies bent on each other’s destruction.

Here are a few words about what you must do about these attacks.

The Holy Spirit kept saying, “Learn how to react to your attack.”  Jesus made it very clear to me that even though I cannot choose what attacks I will face—I can choose the result.

My victory was tied to my reaction.  I know that sounds simplistic but reaction is the key.  It kept coming over and over…react, react, and react. Then it turned into REACT, REACT, and REACT!  Finally, it was R.E.A.C.T.   An acronym for 5 life changing words: REMEMBER—ENFORCE—ABANDON—CONTINUE—TRAIN.   Take these steps to stop these vicious new attacks and launch an effective counterattack!

Remember!  You must remember the amazing victories of your past and how you won those battles.  You must remember how God delivered you in the past.   Psalm 20: 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Nehemiah 4:14 says “remember the awesomeness of God and fight…”

You must remember what God has prepared for your future. Romans 8:18 “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us.”   All you want to do now is to get relief from the raging storm.  Satan wants you to forget two things: your legacy and your destiny.

Enforce! Things are not what they seem.  Satan is the master of disguise.  Our enemy kills through special effects.  Bending reality is his stock and trade. The goal of his smoke and mirrors is to get you to accept disaster.  He cannot kill you—but he can use panic to get you to harm yourself.  Reject the panic and enforce the panic on him.

Abandon! In every attack there is something you must abandon, something that you are holding onto that is actually holding onto you.  You may want something bad to happen to someone else.  You may be clinging to a destructive relationship. Forgive your enemy; cut of the parasites, lighten your load so that you can attack with speed and clarity.  Someone or something is no longer supposed to be in your life. T.D. Jakes said, “Their part of the story is over, let them go.”

Continue! You are under attack because you did something that Satan wanted stopped.  Continue to do what he does not want you to do.   Your victory is tied to your intention to do more than you did before.  Look at Peter.  He was beaten for the healing of the man at the gate beautiful and ordered not to preach about Jesus.  What was his reaction? To pray for boldness to preach and for more miracles! Acts 4:29,30 Lord behold their threats and grant unto your servants that with all boldness we may preach Your word while You stretch out your hand to heal and let signs and wonders be done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Train:  2 Corinthians 2: 11 “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  Paul is saying that what he learned from past attacks made him wiser against new attacks.  Learn from this and train for future attacks.  General Patton said, “no amount of courage will avail against an educated bullet. ” He was talking about the urgency of training.  We must become an educated bullet!  Ask yourself, what did I learn from the attack?  What pitfalls am I going to avoid next time?  What weakness in me does the enemy use to get in and disrupt my life? What will I do now to keep friendships strong, my body healthy, my children safe, my marriage loving and my money secure against future assaults?
