Dinuba is a sign and a warning

It was exactly five years ago today that I stood before a group of leaders in California and made this prediction: “The church in California has five years. Churches here will either become soul winning centers, or they will end up asylums filled with disgruntled believers who will drain the life out of their leaders.”

I went on to tell them that Hollywood, the state government, tech companies and education would become militantly Left Wing and assault the freedom of religion. Five years is up, and that is exactly where we are.

Many say I should just be rejoicing over the dramatic healings that took place last night in Dinuba. I should be dancing in the spirit over all the souls that are being saved. Indeed, the tent is a sacred center for mighty acts of God. And yes, it is true that many amazing things are happening.

This visitation is so very full of hope, love and joy, that as I exited the tent they brought the mayor of Dinuba to me and he grabbed my hand and shook it, and said, “Thank you so much for coming to Dinuba.”

It is Tuesday afternoon October 8th and, while I am rejoicing, I am sober with a soberness that feels like an impending disaster.

We have had to add chairs every night. The worship has been pure and forceful. Souls have been sobbing at the altar as they received Jesus as Lord. Yet over all this glory hangs an ominous cloud of uncertainty.

It has reminded me of when Jesus rode toward Jerusalem. “As He approached the road leading down from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of His disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (Luke 19:37-38)

From every angle you would conclude that Jesus is finally being given the glory and adulation that is due Him. Was this finally His great breakthrough? He knew better. Even as Jesus saw the crowds adoring Him, He knew it was too late. The city had been warned, and a deadline had been crossed: God had passed sentence on Jerusalem.

Luke 19 goes on: 41: “Now when Jesus approached and saw the city, He wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had only known on this day, even you, the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build a siege mound against you and surround you and close in on you from every side. 44 They will demolish you—you and your children within your walls—and they will not leave within you one stone on top of another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”

Every night under our tent has seen ever increasing blessings and power. Whereas hundreds used to come, now thousands come. We began with a flow of miracles and souls—now it’s a flood. But will it be enough to avert the judgment of God on California? That question is burning a hole in my heart.

Just because our meetings are awesome doesn’t guarantee statewide revival, anymore than Jesus’ ride through the cheering crowds meant Jerusalem would be saved.

What was the crime that sent Jerusalem to its death? My friend, it’s the same crime that will surely bury our hopes and dreams for California. Jesus declared the reason in verse 44: “because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”

The emotional mood swings are enough to cripple me. I go to the heights of faith when I see the people who are standing with us. Their fervor is astonishing. They run all over the city and bring in the lost and the sick.  Inner City Action led by Frank Saldana is an army that causes me to have total faith that revival is coming.

And then there is the attack of discouragement that tries to hit Mechelle and me.  It’s not the insanity of Sacramento that does it. It is not the foolishness of Hollywood actors who don’t know what they are talking about. It isn’t the media.  It’s not even the horrible headlines of homelessness, addiction and violence

My heartache comes from leaders—leaders who labor under the delusion that there is plenty of time.  And, who believe there is no need for repentance or urgency.  These leaders do not recognize the time of God’s visitation.

Forget about me. I am not the catalyst to revival. I am not the chief source of anything for California. But for heaven’s sake, you pastors need to at least preach revival—at least call your people to prayer—at least speak out! For one thing is certain, there is not an infinite amount of time left.

Recently, a large church chose not to support us. The leader claimed that he thought we were not financially accountable—which is an absurd claim when you consider that the Charitable Navigators once gave us a 4 star rating—the same as Billy Graham!  It turns out that it was about money—but not our money—his money! He was “reaching out” to the LGBTQ community. That part is great, but here’s the sad truth: That community tithes to his church and he feared that my stance on marriage would cut off their giving.

Whether I am told to avoid preaching holiness or “politics” (another absurdity), it is grievous because they are not aware of the time of God’s visitation. Again, it is not about me. Go ahead and reject me, but when I see you doing nothing to embrace the moving of the Holy Spirit in any form, it grieves my spirit.

No matter what, I will press on. I will stand in the tent in our little corner of our calling and declare it:

THIS IS THE HOUR OF GOD’S VISITATION ON CALIFORNIA.

JOIN US AT CHUKCHANSI STADIUM IN FRESNO OCTOBER 20TH 6PM

  1. Thank you Mario. Your words are true for my own country – Ireland – as well. I pray we will soon have our own ‘Mario’ to lead us. California is so blessed to have you. Meanwhile you encourage us too. God bless you.

    1. Denise, you are right to ask for prayer for Ireland as well. We get so fixated on America, that we forget that “God so loved the WHOLE World.” God will raise up Marios in your country…He will even raise up Deborahs (the book of Judges). Keep standing on your faith for therein lies the VICTORY. As for me, I am going to start by praying for these errant preachers here to wake up. I and many others are leaving churches here in America because they are not preaching but sugar coating, and watering down the gospel. They tickle the ears of the congregants in order to keep the tithe. My tithe is going to Mario and those like him who preach TRUTH. Glory to God my sweet sister in Ireland. Stay STRONG in the Lord and the POWER of His MIGHT!

      1. Amen to Denise and Darlene!!🤗…and to dear Mario I remind you, “the bigger they are the harder they fall”! I suggest that this man with the large church who chose not to support you using the accountability argument as an excuse, was just looking for a way out. I suggest that he was most probably never on board with what Your ministry is all about.
And so it goes…Bona Fide Christian leaders will always support your kind of ministry effort Mario. Yet the insipid, tasteless, unsalty one’s who lack genuine commitment to Christ and His Gospel message & principles, will cop out at the first sign of a real move of God. I’m going to offer to you the same plea I just gave to Donald Trump.
PLEASE, PLEASE, don’t loose heart ♥️‼️ due to what you’re doing. You’ve taken on the “big boys” in mainstream Christianity, its gonna be tough and many won’t care to push the plow with you.
Just like PR-Trump you will find yourself standing alone from your peers… BUT you’ve got ‘us’ the real Beloved of God to keep you (metaphorically) warm.

  2. Just want to encourage you to continue your blog. I read it daily as a source information and encouragement; and I use it to guide many of my prayers for you, your ministry, your work in CA, and for the church. Thank you so much for your faithful work.

  3. How beautiful what God is doing. Praying for you Mario and believing the same will happen in Florida and all over the US !God bless you, Maranatha

  4. I feel your pain, prayers for God’s grace to cover you and your wife. May his strength sustain and keep you in these times, his grace cover you both and shield you from weariness in the battle for souls. I appreciate you, your lovely wife and all those that are working with you! There is more for you than against you, God is still on the throne and he is more than able to reach his people even those who are under leaders that are hirelings. Jesus is the good shepherd and his sheep HEAR his voice, not by might, power but by his Spirit! To God be the glory great things he has done, will do and is doing! Shout to the Lord for the smell of victory is in the air!!!!!!!

  5. I am with you, Mario… just as always. I would support you to the death… even so Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior. I know this… I would die for my faith in Christ and I will not deny. Is this the commitment that all followers of Christ have? That’s my question. Would You die for your faith in Christ? Because that is just what it may be coming down to. I am that sure of my Lord, Yeshua, and in what & whom he stands for. This is life to me and could even mean my death here on this earth… but, to be alive with my God in heaven. I have already made this decision. Have YOU?? So what if we don’t see this “glorious victory”? So, what if being a follower of Yeshua Ha Mashiach becomes a crime? So, what if speaking the true gospel of Yeshua and the Bible in the marketplace is punishable by death? What would you say then… what would you do?

Here in this country we have had it, actually, pretty good. Do you realize there are those in other countries that have been and are praying for the persecution of the body of Christ in THIS country? Well, they are seeing the answers to their prayers, finally… and they see our persecution as a “great vicotory”. Are you ready to endure??

Mario, this is what I see happening. I always hoped I would no longer be on this planet when this came… And, no… I am not doom & gloom. I have always been very optimistic. The glass was always half full. I’ve been around (follower of Jesus) for 31 years now… I see the times and I sense the seasons… and those words in the New T. are coming to pass… “men will be lovers of themselves…” etc. And, even in the churches. I do not “go” to church because they all (in my region) are about satisfying their own selfish needs.. who fits in and who does not… who has the $$$$$$ and who does not… who is important and can make an impact and who can not… I am not rich, I am not influential, I am not popular, I have never been one to “fit in” cause it’s cool. I am direct, honest and loyal to the Word. I am not in this world to satisfy someone’s fleshly needs. And, maybe I am a relic.

Mario, I pray for you and your wife… I pray strength and fortitude to continue on in what He has given you to do… to speak up and use the forum you have been given. And CA? Well, they either wake up and move…. or… ???. This country either wakes up and moves…. or…. ??? But, these times have been prophecied in the Word. Does it have to be?? No… it doesn’t… we can change the path this country is on… people need to wake up. I continue to pray and to cry out to God for those who say they are believer’s and stand with the Messiah.. to TRULY WAKE UP!!!

  6. It was the Lord that had his hands on my steering wheel and I let him allow me to be driven. Thank you so much for allowing God to use us out of the confinement of the 4 walls of the church building. .

  7. God sought out Adam in the garden after he sinned. He runs to the prodigal. He sent his only Son as a sin offering on our behalf. He continually reaches out to the lost.We do our part and God blesses it more than we can comprehend. We hold on to our faith that He is adding the exceeding, abundantly above all that we can ask or think to our efforts.Could we be on the verge of a sovereign worldwide visitation of God? God bless you and Mechelle for all that you give.Fervent prayers for strength and peace and God’s protective covering around you as you continue to fight the good fight.Only eternity will reveal truth of what is being accomplished for the kingdom of God.

  8. Thank you, Mario, for your amazing and abundant faithfulness to our almighty God. It inspires me to press even more inwards to His Word, to prayer, and to being faithful to God’s calling for myself, and to the body of Christ. Bless you, your amazing wife, your family and your team!

  9. Even though this may not ‘save’ California, think of all the people God is touching who would never have heard of God’s and His power and glory apart from your meetings. Just remain faithful in what He has called you to do and He will do the rest according to His divine Purpose.

  10. This was a sobering word. Thank you once again, Pastor Mario, for being His faithful and willing servant. California is indeed teetering on the brink, we all know that, but what we forget is that as California goes, so goes the nation. Many other states are in almost as bad condition, in the natural, and within His Church. I pray for our state, our nation, and the world every night, and for our leaders, and I pray for you, your wife and family, your crew, volunteers, and all who attend your meetings. May God have mercy on California, but may the Church arise and do her duty, and soon.
