It’s something I never thought I’d see, but these things are becoming more and more common: An NFL player rips a helmet off of an opposing player and tries to smash his face with it. That is blind rage. Blind rage doesn’t care about consequences. Blind rage never counts the cost, and has ruined countless lives.
Fortunately, blind rage is usually momentary—but tragically, in the case of our Kamikaze congress, it is permanent—another thing I never thought I’d ever see.
Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler are completely unhinged. They are carrying on a vile charade where anything goes. The rule of law is out, due process is out, facing your accuser is out, presumption of innocence is out…and all opposing views are suffocated.
What we are witnessing is the polar opposite of the Founding Father’s idea of impeachment. This is the tail wagging the dog. An overwhelming mountain of evidence is supposed to precede an impeachment inquiry. In this case, the inquiry itself was a fishing expedition for evidence. When that failed, they resorted to gibberish and innuendo, hoping that by saying it with conviction and a stony face, it would fool the faithful into thinking there was substance to their accusations.
In the impeachment of Donald Trump, there are no rules, no checks, and no balances. No dirty trick is off limits—including secret subpoenas for private phone records of fellow Congressmen. The only one who is protected is the whistleblower, and his testimony is valid only because they say it is.
Oh, but it gets much worse.
We now know that Donald Trump is innocent of the crime of withholding aid to the Ukraine in exchange for a favor. But the very thing they accused Trump of doing, is exactly what Joe Biden and his son are guilty of doing! They accused Trump of withholding aid to the Ukraine if the Ukraine didn’t dig up dirt about Joe Biden. But, we now know, no aid was withheld and no quid pro quo ever happened.
What we do know, because we have Biden on video bragging that he did it, is that he is guilty of threatening to withhold a billion dollars in aid to the Ukraine government if they didn’t fire a prosecutor (which they did) who just happened to be investigating his son, Hunter Biden.
Now we come to the kicker. Democrats are changing the impeachment process, and the change will be permanent. If we do not stop them, impeachment will become the go-to political weapon of every party in every future presidency. It will be employed without adequate evidence to back up the charge, simply because the Left has now made impeachment a weapon.
It is as simple as baseball. Your pitcher threw a fastball at the head of one of our players, so, the next time you come up to bat, we will do the same.
Blind rage is at work here. This is a case where the rage justifies the means. America is watching in dismay thinking…they are willing to destroy America just to get Trump?
Even if Obama or Hillary were President, it would be wrong to use evil to impeach them, because evil would never leave the house, it would simply change form. All that Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler are doing is removing our protection against evil. That was the point of a scene from the movie A Man for All Seasons: it is wrong to break the law even to get at the devil.
William Roper: “So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!”
Sir Thomas More: “Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?”
William Roper: “Yes, I’d cut down every law in England to do that!”
Sir Thomas More: “Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned ’round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!”
Whether you be Democrat or Republican, Conservative or Progressive, doesn’t matter now. What does matter is that our laws are being cut down, and we will reap the whirlwind if we do not stop it.
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)
