“Mario, you are more politician than evangelist”, said the preacher. So, I asked him, “Why aren’t you speaking out against the policies that are destroying our nation’s morals? He said, “I would lose people in my church.” “In other words” I said, “you would lose votes.” You’re the politician not me.
Notable Christian leaders, specifically Max Lucado, have stated that they did not speak out against Obama but have now chosen to speak out against Trump. Lucado found Trump to be rude and again, feels his immigration policy is anti-Christian.
It makes zero sense. Obama was loading our children with debt. Obama was the most hostile president to the Bible in history. Obama gave us same sex marriage and fought to retain late term abortion. Obama opened the Pandora’s Box of political correctness that has the racists calling everyone else racist, and the fascists calling everyone else fascists. Obama is why our universities are a sick joke of intellectual dishonesty. Why are you vocal now and you never said a word to stop Obama?
The leader they gave a pass to was trying to drive the church underground, and the one we have now is the first president to address the March for Life and oppose the hideous Johnson Amendment that took away the free speech of pastors. Trump is fighting to give you a pulpit where you can speak truth without the IRS shutting you down. You oppose him now and were mum on Obama?
The most devastating charge against these pastors is this: they actively told their people not to vote for Trump. Had they been successful—Hillary would be president today.
Now, dear pastors, you have moved on to attacking Trump’s immigration policies. You don’t want a wall; you believe Jesus taught open borders. That means that you have swallowed the Kool Aid of the left.
You are siding with sanctuary cities. You are allowing a system that protects killers and punishes the American worker. You are siding against your own congregation. You are blatantly contradicting yourselves.
You once hid behind a bad exegesis of Romans 13 to justify your silence against bad government. When you finally grew a conscience and realized civil disobedience is scriptural you waste it on the wrong argument.
Illegals have killed and they will kill again. Democrats only want them here because they believe they’ll vote leftist. Ask God if you are not pawns in their game.
Is it unchristian to secure the borders? Let’s ask Jesus. “But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.” –Matthew 24:43
The Shocking Reason millions of born again Christians will still vote for Hillary
By Mario Murillo
She is a smooth criminal. She is the consort of a sexual addict. She is chugging the longest train of scandal and lawlessness in history toward the White House. Box cars overflow with federal crimes, defilement, unexplained deaths, pathological lies, and an insatiable lust for power. She wants the savagery of late term abortion. She believes marriage is between a man and anything.
However, the greatest horror resides in the caboose: She will feed and expand the cancer of Obama’s policies. Thus, she will turn up the blood-letting of government spending and doom our children. Our foreign policy will be one big blazing Benghazi. Our Supreme Court will become a left-wing meat grinder. Obamacare is dead; no mind, she will manage the morgue so the corpse putrefies our health care system indefinitely.
Say you wanted to craft the quintessential anti-Christian candidate. Monger a politician that is the most anti-Bible, anti-church, anti-Israel, anti-God human being on the planet: thy name is Hillary Clinton.
Yet, with all of this, millions of born again, holiness, tongue-talking, Bible-thumping Christians are dutifully and catatonically pulling the lever for her. She has also said that religious beliefs need to be changed. Think of that…she would change Christian beliefs and millions of Christians will help her do it.
Maybe you’ll do it because you are more feminist, union, or minority than you are Christian.
The article in Dallas Morning News reads: “I am a pro-life Christian woman voting for Hillary.” The author Shannon Dingle says, “So buckle up, y’all. We’re in for a ride.” Sadly, I took the ride and it was even murkier by the end than it was at the beginning.
The polls say 80% percent of all African Americans will vote for Hillary. Thirty-eight million of them live in the U.S. Do you think for a moment, 80% of the black Christians you know are anti-Bible?
We also know that many Christian white women are for Hillary. Women who listen to Joyce Meyers, women who attend prophetic conferences, women who pray in tongues…yet, still, they will vote Clinton.
One of the biggest reasons for this breathtaking contradiction will shock you: IT IS MODERN PREACHING. Have you even wondered why your pastor is not warning you that we are about to lose our nation forever? Have you not noticed the blinding contradiction when your pastor says he believes in the Word of God and then tells you to vote for Hillary?
The preaching that allows believers to act in opposition to their faith comes in many packages. But they all carry these traits.
- It teaches there is a higher standard than the Bible. This comes at you in all kinds of ways. There is the preaching that omits scripture. There is the preaching that magically mixes opposing ideas so they fit together in blissful repose, i.e. Chrislam. You don’t even notice the teaching is not anchored to the Bible.
The Bible may be diminished by a pastor. They say things like: “I still revere scripture but the modern mind finds it objectionable so we must downplay it.”
Then there are Spirit-filled teachers who imply—or outright say—that personal prophetic words or supernatural encounters trump the Bible.
Is there any wonder millions of Christians sitting under such verbiage lack the moral clarity to do the right thing in this election?
2. It desperately wants cultural acceptance. So much of the confusing waffling you hear from celebrity pastors is not a conviction; it is a need for acceptance from the culture. When virtually every news outlet, Hollywood, pop stars and secular universities are in lockstep with Hillary, the pressure to conform is overwhelming.
A pastor tosses his Bible values and suddenly becomes a darling to millions who declare that pastor open-minded, inclusive and tolerant.
Regardless of how glaring the evil, this preaching refuses to offend. Joel Osteen said to Larry King, “I know Homosexuality is a sin but I am not going to preach it.”
Here is preaching that calculates truth with a wet finger raised to cultural breezes instead of a heart that discerns the wind of the Holy Spirit.
Moral clarity is almost nonexistent. If it is gone from the sermon, small wonder it is gone from the voting booth.
3. It teaches elitism that exempts Christians from consequences. This pernicious teaching places the Christian above Scripture, above consequence and even above God.
It begins with true statements about the authority of the believer or the wonders of the love and grace of God. The teacher, seeing the delight he awakens in his audience, increases the dosage beyond Bible limits.
Soon you are hearing that you never have to repent of sin. You hear of astounding dominion you have over all of the earth. You are fed a constant diet of how God is so, so into you.
You are too valuable to suffer (like other Christians around the world). No matter how bad it looks, you do not have to worry or take action because God will simply take care of it all.
Revival becomes “if God wants it” and not “if my people.”
Will Christians be judged by God for voting for Hillary? Eric Metaxas not only thinks so…he makes a compelling appeal for voting for Donald Trump:
“How do I squirm out of this horrific conundrum? It’s unavoidable: We who can vote must answer to God for these people, whom He loves. We are indeed our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers.
We would be responsible for passively electing someone who champions the abomination of partial-birth abortion, someone who is celebrated by an organization that sells baby parts. We already live in a country where judges force bakers, florists and photographers to violate their consciences and faith—and Mrs. Clinton has zealously ratified this. If we believe this ends with bakers and photographers, we are horribly mistaken. No matter your faith or lack of faith, this statist view of America will dramatically affect you and your children.
For many of us, this is very painful, pulling the lever for someone many think odious. But please consider this: A vote for Donald Trump is not necessarily a vote for Donald Trump himself. It is a vote for those who will be affected by the results of this election. Not to vote is to vote. God will not hold us guiltless.”
Hillary just said this about the new FBI investigation of her: “People Have Already “Factored” In Emails in How They Think about Me.” She also believes this is true of millions of born Christians. have factored what she is but they will vote for her anyway.
I wrote about Max and Beth to defend Christian Trump supporters
By Mario Murillo
As I write you, 50,000 people have read the blog that mentioned Max Lucado and Beth Moore. Today I want to clear the air about why that happened.
For me to mention the name of a fellow minister is like getting a root canal. I only do it when all other remedies have been exhausted. We are family. We are all on the same team. Christian unity is a witness to a dying world.
So then why did I put out the blog? I did it to defend Christians who are going to vote for Trump.
Whether Max and Beth intended it or not, their remarks had the effect—I am being delicate and kind here—of questioning Christians who support Trump.
Max openly wondered how any Evangelical could follow Donald.
Beth did the same to Christian men who support Trump. She can’t support Trump because he “objectifies women” and she believes he assaulted women. She can’t see how any Christian man who would support Trump.
But they are both doing something else that really hurts Christians who support Trump: They are being silent about Hillary Clinton. They have said nothing against her. More on this later.
Other celebrity Christian leaders are doing much worse. They have thrown millions of sincere Jesus followers into Hillary’s basket of deplorables.
So let’s talk about Christian Trump supporters.
1. Many of them are positive thinkers and entrepreneurs. They resonate with Trump’s winners approach to life. These are the church members most likely to give big to a vision or help pay off the building. They are not the critics and legalistic people that hinder you pastor.
2. Most Christian Trump supporters are patriotic. They love America. They believe that we live in the greatest country on earth. They are angry our laws are being disregarded by secular progressives. They are angry with pro athletes who disgrace our flag and national anthem. They stand with cops, the military and first responders.
3. The majority of Christian Trump supporters are all about common sense. They believe:
-Our trade deals with other nations make no sense.
-Political correctness is a silly idea that has morphed into a tedious tyranny.
-It makes no sense to judge Trump’s past bankruptcies while ignoring someone who will carry on Obama’s disastrous spending.
-It makes no sense to leave our borders unsecured and allow an influx of criminals. They have committed of millions of crimes and have killed our children.
-It makes no sense to oppress the church with regulations that force Christians, Churches, and Christian employers to pay for contraceptives and abortions.
-It makes no sense to support a woman who will turn Christian witnessing into a hate crime.
-It makes no sense to reject Trump for statements he made 11 years ago when you have no proof he is not a changed man. Bill Clinton is not a changed man. We know from a recent statement by General Colin Powell that Bill Clinton is still committing adultery and Hillary still covers it up.
-It makes no sense to compare Donald’s tax forms to 33,000 emails that Clinton criminally erased—emails that pose a national security threat.
-It makes no sense to deny you are helping Hillary if you don’t vote—or if you vote for a third candidate. It’s a two-person race. Trump is the underdog. He needs every vote he can get, and every vote he does not get, helps her. You can numb your conscience all you want but facts are facts…if you don’t vote for him, you are helping Hillary.
– It makes no sense to talk about Trump but never talk about Clinton.
I respect both of these Christian leaders and I refuse to engage in a war of words. Nevertheless, they need to know—innocently or deliberately—millions of sheep feel wounded and betrayed. As I said before, what hurts them the most it is this: You speak against Trump but remain totally silent about Hillary Clinton.
-You say Trump is rude? How rude is it to ignore repeated cries for help and send four Americans to their death in Benghazi? How rude is it to lie—to the parents and family of the slain at their funeral—by blaming their death on a video.
-You reject Trump because you support women? Hillary has never denied laughing at a 12-year-old girl who was raped. She has never denied trying to bury the women her husband raped. She has enriched her foundation with millions from nations that kill women and enslave them. Hillary Clinton believes it is okay to kill a baby even after nine months of pregnancy. Abortion is murder but what does killing your baby even if its head is crowning out of the womb do to that child let alone the mother?
WHY, WHY, WHY AREN’T YOU TALKING ABOUT HER? The believer who supports Trump is horrified by your silence. They see you tweeting and pontificating about Trump but you offer no answer for the undoing of the Constitution—the trashing of the Supreme Court—the threat to America that Obama and Hillary’s foreign policy has created. They want to know if celebrity Christians live in a bubble. They wonder, “what is your solution to the national disaster?” Are you that out of touch with reality?
4. Christian Trump supporters believe voting for him is a moral thing to do:
Laura Ingraham says her support of Trump is an extension of her faith:
“The truth is that those of us who support Trump understand all too well the reality of the choice that faces us, and are doing the best we can to save this country.
On the other hand, not voting for Trump — and hoping that he loses — also represents a moral choice:
It means aligning yourself, at least temporarily, with left-wing nightmares Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and all the other radicals who want Trump to lose.
It means turning a deaf ear to your fellow Americans who can’t take four more years of decline, and who are desperate for new leadership.
It means allowing another four or eight years of flat-lining wages and growth, and high taxes on American businesses.
It means hardening your heart against people those who have spent 40 years trying to stop abortion.
It means doing nothing when The New York Times, and The Washington Post, and every other left-wing outlet mocks and ridicules the Trump supporters as racists and bigots.
It means cheering (silently or not) along with every smear and every snide comment that Hollywood and the media can use to attack Trump’s voters.
That’s the choice the NeverTrumpers have made — a decision to do nothing, to wash their hands of the election, of the Republican Party, of the country itself.
That may represent some people’s version of morality. But it’s not mine.”
5. Christian Trump supporters believe it is all about the Supreme Court: Columnist Thomas Sowell hit the nail on the head when he said, “The issue is judges that stick to the law versus judges who ignore the law. That is a huge distinction. It is the difference between living in a self-governing democracy and living under tyrants on the bench.”
Through his or her appointments, the next president will determine whether the federal judiciary respects its proper, limited role in our self-governing democracy, or whether we continue to slide ever further toward judicial tyranny. There is no more important issue in this election. We already know the kind of judges she will nominate.
Franklin Graham summed it all up: “A lot of people are slamming evangelicals for supposedly giving Donald J. Trump a pass. That’s simply not true. No one is giving him a pass. I’m certainly not, and I’ve not met an evangelical yet who condones his language or inexcusable behavior from over a decade ago. However, he has apologized to his wife, his family, and to the American people for this. He has taken full responsibility. This election isn’t about Donald Trump’s behavior from 11 years ago or Hillary Clinton’s recent missing emails, lies, and false statements. This election is about the Supreme Court and the justices that the next president will nominate. Evangelicals are going to have to decide which candidate they trust to nominate men and women to the court who will defend the constitution and support religious freedoms. My prayer is that Christians will not be deceived by the liberal media about what is at stake for future generations.”
PASTOR: CAN YOU LIVE WITH KNOWING YOU ALLOWED A PRESIDENT HILLARY?
‘That’s the real question for all of these people talking about their ‘conscience”
By Pastor Carl Gallups Pastor of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Florida
Sen. Ted Cruz told conservatives at the Republican National Convention to “vote your conscience.” Republican strategists linked to establishment figures like Jeb Bush are leaving the GOP because they can’t bring themselves to vote for Donald Trump. Elected Republicans, cowed by the media, are piling on Trump in defense of Khizr Kahn. And Marvin Bush, brother of George W. Bush and Jeb Bush, has endorsed Gary Johnson for President because he “wants to have a conscience.”
But pastor Carl Gallups, author of “Be Thou Prepared” and a prominent Christian supporter of Republican nominee Donald Trump, suggests the real moral burden lies with those who refuse to oppose what he believes is the frightening candidacy of Hillary Clinton.
“Will my conscience allow me to act in a manner so that Hillary Clinton will win the presidency and thus destroy this nation and the future of my children and grandchildren?” asked Gallups rhetorically. “That’s the real question for all of these people talking about their ‘conscience.’ Everyone else is going to have to live with the consequences of all of those who simply opt out of this election by not doing what they can to stop Hillary Clinton.”
Gallups recently appeared on The Jim Bakker show to explain what he said was the critical importance of Christian participation in politics. He was critical of those who said Christians should stay out of the political process.
“We’re citizens and we have a right to be a part of the political process but more than that, we have a responsibility to be a part of all of that,” he said.
Gallups suggested many pastors have been convinced, incorrectly, they don’t have the right to speak out about political issues from the pulpit. The leader of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Florida said the difference between “political: and “spiritual” issues is often overstated.
“Pastors have been brainwashed, not all pastors, but a ton of them have been brainwashed or intimidated into believing that they can’t stand in their pulpits and say, ‘Thus sayeth the Lord,’” said Gallups. “Regardless of what the government says about it.
“That’s the dirty little trick that’s been played on the church, the pervasive politically correct atmosphere. Let’s take an issue like abortion – is that not a biblical issue? That’s a biblical issue, that’s a deeply spiritual issue. It goes to the demonic. But the government has stepped in over the decades and said this is a political issue. And we always hear the phrase ‘separation of church and state.’”
Gallups argued Christians need to understand they are not electing a pastor but someone who will set policies for the nation. The best they can hope for, said Gallups, is to have a leader who can provide space for Christians to promote their faith and create a revival.
“We need people who love America and love the Constitution,” said Gallups. “We need people who understand America’s history and its foundation, who love the rule of law. And who will protect that, because if that’s in place, then we are free to do what we’re supposed to do. It’s not the president that’s supposed to be preaching the Gospel, it’s you and me. But we can’t do it if we have people in power who are constantly holding us down and trying to crush us out of existence.”
Gallups told WND that is precisely what Hillary Clinton is trying to do. He urged Christians to understand the dire consequences which will result if another President Clinton gets to determine the Supreme Court.
“These are just the facts – Hillary Clinton would replace Justice Scalia with another liberal, perhaps even ultra-liberal justice,” he said. “This devastating maneuver would give the ‘progressives’ a 5-4 majority on the Supreme Court. And that doesn’t count the times that Justice Kennedy might vote with the liberals (as we have seen him do on several occasions), giving them a 6-3 majority decision.
“And don’t forget: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 83. She has had numerous and serious health problems, including pancreatic and colon cancer, and heart problems. Justice Breyer is 78. Justice Kennedy is 80.”
Gallups said the ironic result of Christians sitting out of the election because of “conscience” could be the end of America itself.
“It is entirely within the realm of possibilities that the next president could nominate up to four justices to the Supreme Court in the next few years,” Gallups warned. “If that president happens to be Hillary Clinton, because millions of Christians ‘couldn’t vote against their conscience’, she would seal a far-left activist Supreme Court for many decades to come. And don’t forget, she will be appointing numerous lower federal court justices on top of that! America as we have known it would be toast. Plain and simple. And the end would come like a flood.
“Our nation would be ruled by unelected and largely unaccountable far-left judges. An uncooperative legislative branch would be ignored, as Hillary’s government would merely rely upon liberal judicial fiat for its law.”
Gallups cautioned Americans against assuming the Constitution would protect their rights, as the Supreme Court has shown it is willing to radically reinterpret the supreme law of the land.
“If you have a Hillary Clinton Supreme Court, for starters, many of your First Amendment rights would be gone,” Gallups said of the consequences. “Your right to bear arms would be ancient history. Whatever privacy rights you have left now will also evaporate. Government intrusions and atrocities, all committed with the Supreme Court’s sanction, will sweep down upon us. Look what has happened, even without a liberal majority on the Supreme Court. Listen to what Hillary is openly and currently boasting about doing should she become the president. Her agenda is evil – and it is clear.”
Gallups urged Christians to examine their conscience in a different way. He asked believers to really ask themselves if they are willing to inflict such a fate on their fellow Americans and fellow Christians.
“Do you really want to take this chance?” he asked. “Do you really want a president that couldn’t even pass an FBI background check to be employed as an agent? Do you really want Bill Clinton back in the White House and thrust onto the world scene as a world leader? Do you really want all the Clinton baggage we were so glad to see leave the White House years ago simply step back in for four or, perhaps, eight more years?”
Gallups told Jim Bakker he doesn’t believe Donald Trump will somehow save the country by himself. But he said as a Christian the stakes are too high to do anything but stand with the Republican nominee.
“I don’t think Donald Trump is the savior of America,” concluded Gallups. “I don’t think he is the perfect candidate. There are parts of his platform I don’t agree with. But I’m saying on November the ninth, after the election, it is going to be one of those two people, Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. So that’s what I tell Christians – get out, get engaged, be the salt, be the light, or we’re going to lose everything we have.”
What comes after you receive a prophetic word: HARD WORK.
By Mario Murillo
Someone prophesies over you. The audience claps and shouts. You feel excitement over the divine promise spoken over you. You feel favor and blessing. However, this is a dangerous moment. It is a moment that Satan pounces on every time.
Lucifer uses the excitement of the moment to get your eyes off of the work to be done. What you have received is only a part of the process. You can feel entitled to your promise and begin to float instead of acting on the promise.
All Words from God carry conditions and instructions. Daniel understood this discipline:
Daniel 9: 2 “in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. 3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.”
Notice the words in bold face. First Daniel understood the promise. Then Daniel reviewed what God had specified. Finally, he set himself to seek its fulfillment by prayer, fasting and repentance.
Have you noticed that every region of America carries prophecies of revival? Let’s not be cynical but let’s be frank! How can all of these prophecies be from God when there is so little revival?
I can’t defend all of these “Words” but they cannot all be wrong. I know 3 cities that carry amazing predictions. People who do not know each other have spoken in exactly the same words to promise an awakening. Most leaders in these 3 cities totally believe those prophecies…and yet, nothing is happening. How do you explain this?
You explain it by taking a closer look. Despite the promises churches refuse to work together. Churches are fixated on survival not revival. There is no corporate repentance. Each church is waiting for the other church to submit. They stubbornly believe that revival cannot come anywhere else but their church. And so it goes.
You have to wonder how these leaders can live with themselves. How unlike Daniel they are. They don’t ask “if God said revival is coming what can I do to humble myself?” What can I do to reach out and facilitate prayer and outreach even if I don’t get the credit or results in my church.”
Here’s another example of prophetic entitlement: Right now we are in an election where leaders are prophesying that Donald Trump will be president. I have not received a prophetic word about Trump myself. But that doesn’t mean these prophecies are not true. What I do know is that Hillary Clinton will be an unqualified disaster. We cannot let her choose the next Supreme Court.
What I am saying is that many who claim these prophecies are not openly campaigning for Trump or calling the church to rally around him. They are celebrating it as if it is a done deal. If they believed the prophecies they have received, they would be doing this. They would be praying, and donating. They would be defying the stupid 501C3 restriction against campaigning for a candidate from the pulpit. They would realize that without hard work it is not going to happen. This is a rigged election and the warfare is going to require more than a giddy feeling that he is supposed to be president.
Now look at Joshua: Joshua 1: 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
First he gets amazing promises. Then he gets his work order. He has to be strong and courageous. He has to continually absorb the word. He is told that then and only then will he see the promises.
Your word from the Lord is a precious gift. It needs to be confirmed by the Bible and wise counsel. It has to be rehearsed and enforced. You have to make room for it and prepare for its fulfillment. You have to do the work.
One day Mechelle and I had lunch with Bill and Beni Johnson in Redding. During lunch, Bill pulled out a stack of 3 by 5 cards. Some of them were new and some were frayed with age. “I write down every prophetic word that God gives me”, he said, “here they are.” Bill understands what comes after a prophetic word: HARD WORK!
Radio host Rush Limbaugh is warning listeners: during Barack Obama’s upcoming, final year in office, the president will move ahead with whatever he desires because “he knows nobody’s gonna stop him.”
“We’re fast approaching Obama’s last year in office,” Limbaugh said. “I want to warn you again, in all likelihood, there are going to be things this president does in the next 12 months that you can’t even think of or conceive of now.”
Limbaugh continued that Obama recognizes no limits to his power and he will do what he wants – “it doesn’t matter what the courts say, it doesn’t matter if Obama policies have a stay on them or temporary halt.”
“It’s his last chance to have personal stamps or fingerprints on the transformation of this country,” Limbaugh added. “He knows the Republicans have taken impeachment — it’s late for that anyway. There’s not gonna be any effort to stop him.”
Obama and the Democrats have already made clear they intend to further diminish the Second Amendment by using executive action to expand background checks to cover private gun sales, as Breitbart News reported Tuesday.
According to Limbaugh, Americans can’t rely on Republicans to block Obama’s efforts to further shred the Constitution.
“The Republicans are looking beyond Obama and focusing on trying to win the White House themselves and they’ve just chalked it up, whatever happens this next year happens, and Obama knows all that,” he said, but added, “The American people are gonna be angry as they can be and demanding that some action be taken to stop some of these things.”
“I can’t begin to predict the outrageous things that are going to happen specifically, but I’m pretty safe in telling you that there are going to be such things because there continue to be such things today,” Limbaugh said.
He also observed that Obama’s apparent contempt for the limits of his office as provided for in the Constitution has set a precedent for future presidents.
“Obama has blown through the Constitution like a tornado and has, in the process, set precedents, and there have been people seeking office who have said that they are going to fix the things Obama has broken themselves using the singular powers that Obama has appropriated for himself,” he noted. “In other words, Obama’s wanton overstepping the Constitution has created precedent where future presidents, if they’re inclined, might feel that they could or should do so as well.”
