YOU KNOW WHAT

The Democrat Party has been on the wrong side of almost every issue as it relates to the Bible, ever since they booed at the mention of God at their 2012 Convention.  Now, they have made it official with a resolution to affiliate with atheists, or as they put it, “the irreligious.”

According to the Friendly Atheist, the Democratic National Committee passed the resolution over the weekend, which heralds the “value, ethical soundness, and importance” of non-religious Americans.

A .pdf file of the resolution is hosted at Secular.org (not surprisingly) and can be read here.  It states…

WHEREAS, the religiously unaffiliated demographic has tripled in the last two decades, now representing 25% of the overall American population and 35% of those under the age of 30; and

WHEREAS, religiously unaffiliated (atheist) Americans overwhelmingly share the Democratic Party’s values, with 70% voting for Democrats in 2018, 80% supporting same-sex marriage, and 61% saying immigrants make American society stronger; and

WHEREAS, the religiously unaffiliated demographic represents the largest religious group within the Democratic Party, growing from 19% in 2007 to one in three today; and

WHEREAS, the nonreligious have often been subjected to unfair bias and exclusion in American society, particularly in the areas of politics and policymaking where assumptions of religiosity have long predominated; and

WHEREAS, those most loudly claiming that morals, values, and patriotism must be defined by their particular religious views have used those religious views, with misplaced claims of “religious liberty,” to justify public policy that has threatened the civil rights and liberties of many Americans, including but not limited to the LGBT community, women, and ethnic and religious /nonreligious minorities; and

WHEREAS, the Democratic Party is an inclusive organization that recognizes that morals, values, and patriotism are not unique to any particular religion, and are not necessarily reliant on having a religious worldview at all; and

WHEREAS, nonreligious Americans made up 17% of the electorate in 2018 and have the potential to deliver millions more votes for Democrats in 2020 with targeted outreach to further increase turnout of nonreligious voters; and

 WHEREAS, a record number of openly nonreligious candidates are running for public office;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the DEMOCRATIC  NATIONAL COMMITTEE recognizes:

The value, ethical soundness, and importance of the religiously unaffiliated demographic, a group of Americans who contribute in innumerable ways to the arts, sciences, medicine, business, law, the military, their communities, the success of the Party and prosperity of the Nation; and

That religiously unaffiliated Americans are a group that, as much as any other, advocates for rational public policy based on sound science and universal humanistic values and should be represented, included, and heard by the Party. (end of quote)

Pulpit and Pen.Org said, “At least the DNC can acknowledge that un-religious people overwhelming affiliate with the Democratic Party over the Republican Party. Whether it’s good or bad, it’s nonetheless true.

“One can only imagine the kind of ethical chaos, impending genocide, and human suffering that will be commonplace if the “humanistic ethics” of the Democratic Party were to triumph in every district and precinct in the United States.”

Democrats have officially sided with atheism against your faith. They have transcended politics and moved to open hostility toward your faith. They have already proven they will ban beliefs they disagree with, so you must now make your choices based on a new reality: they will move to strike freedom of religion—specifically, Christianity and Judaism—from the Bill of Rights and from the laws of the land.

Yet, there may be an upside. Pen and Pulpit said, “If the Democratic Party wants to continue to alienate religious Americans—especially in the African American and Hispanic community (which are both far more religious than the white liberals who form the largest Democratic demographic), they can go right ahead.

“We’ll make room for ethnic minorities in the Republican Party, just like we did during the days of abolition.”

One thing is very clear. If you are a Christian, they don’t want your vote, and they are using statistics to show they don’t need your vote. It is all out in the open now. The Left has moved away from the principles upon which this nation was founded. They have moved to the far left, and are embracing the atheism that is espoused by both Socialism and Communism.

Every Bible-Believing Christian must now realize that this next election is not just about Trump, it is about atheism versus faith in God.

Please pray with us for the coming 2020 elections, and pass this article on to every believer you know!

U.S. CHRISTIANITY IS NOT SHRINKING

Is Christianity dying in America? Is the American church going the way of the hula hoop and the lava lamp? Is it just a matter of time until our faith dies out in America? Leftists love to say this, but it turns out it is a total lie.
Glenn T. Stanton wrote in an article entitled New Harvard Research Says U.S. Christianity Is Not Shrinking, But Growing Stronger:
“New research published late last year by scholars at Harvard University and Indiana University Bloomington is just the latest to reveal the myth. This research questioned the “secularization thesis,” which holds that the United States is following most advanced industrial nations in the death of their once vibrant faith culture. Churches becoming mere landmarks, dance halls, boutique hotels, museums, and all that.
“Not only did their examination find no support for this secularization in terms of actual practice and belief, the researchers proclaim that religion continues to enjoy “persistent and exceptional intensity” in America. These researchers hold our nation “remains an exceptional outlier and potential counter example to the secularization thesis.””
It seemed too good to be true, but then I started getting the calls—calls from leaders who openly opposed the positions I have been declaring in these blogs. They were offended by my insistence on radical soul winning. I also believe we are seeing the national trend acted out in our tent. The surge in attendance in our tent despite the dangerous location is a sign.

Leaders have begun to tell me how they are seeking God and repenting. They have changed their sermons. What is really stunning is that the power of God is flowing in their services, and the crowds which were there for entertainment are now clamoring for more Bible. Prayer meetings are starting to outdraw church socials.
Where we feel it the most is in our tent crusades. Churches who were in deep division are now joining together. They are dropping their differences in order to win the lost.
I can only report to you what is happening in my corner of the world. I was afraid this was just a passing fancy, but it appears that this change is truly taking hold!
You, our faithful readers, have a real hand in this miracle. I freely admit that I have been stern, but apparently what I have been writing is taking hold in the hearts of leaders. The good news is that hearts are turning back toward God, and it appears to be expanding.
If you think that means I will let up in my intensity in speaking the Word of the Lord—think again. We still have widespread corruption, error, and counterfeits at work in the church.  Let us at least rejoice that leaders are beginning to listen to prophets, teachers, and in some cases, even to me.  All glory to God!

GOOD NEWS

There is good news that I have been hesitant to bring you because it seemed too good to be true. I wanted to be sure that it was not just a temporary phase. It is time for me to tell you my own wonderful discovery. But first I want to address something on a much wider scale than my own personal experience.

Is the American church going the way of the hula hoop and the lava lamp? Is it just a matter of time until our faith dies out in America? Leftists love to say this, but it turns out it is a total lie.

If this was

Dear Brothers and Sisters who lead big churches in America,
Leaving the truth out to avoid offending is a disaster.  When it is wildly successful, it is an even greater disaster.  Spurgeon said, “It is a very ill omen to hear a wicked world clap its hands and shout ‘Well done’ to a Christian man.”  Even in Spurgeon’s time, the world rewarded preachers for compromise.
The original Twelve were bold.  They preached letting the chips fall where they may.  No wonder they did. God was confirming their message with signs and wonders. Not only that, their preaching produced new creations of great joy, peace, and power. Our message was once contagious, catching on like wildfire, but now we resort to slick marketing to get society to listen to us.
Truth dispensed in love under the anointing has never needed such inducements. It never will.
The Bible teaches preachers not to offend unnecessarily. But true vessels of God have always understood that their message would awaken fury in some men. They disregarded popularity and even personal safety. They understood the difference between fulfilling a calling and trying to build a career in ministry.

Today we see a great evil in America. Congregations will enrich, yea they will elevate to superstar status any speaker who can eloquently keep the rightful demands of God off their backs.
Someone like me can be easily dismissed. When you take aim at vastly successful, far-flung Christian enterprises, you are easily rejected.   People will ask “how can you deny its effectiveness?” Or you hear them accuse saying, “You’re just being petty and jealous.”
But there are disturbing questions.  Is it petty to point out that this “success” coincides with America’s fastest moral decline? Is it jealousy to say that atheism and paganism have accelerated even as celebrity Pastors boast of their impact? Is it possible that in cheapening the Gospel we have paid a steep price?
There is another question. What might have been if we would have only trusted the Holy Spirit?  What if we had truly consulted and obeyed the One Who was sent to organize and direct the Church?  What would we look like now?
Preaching the entire Gospel releases power. 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
Romans 1: 16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes…”
Why is the phrase “power of God” used in two verses that deal with the offense of the Gospel?  Because it is the power of God that drives home truth, even when it offends.
Paul understood the plan behind the offense.  As a top-flight intellectual, he was keenly aware of the God-designed offense of the Cross.  He refused to rely on his formidable skill in debate, saying instead: “4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2: 4-5

The American Church will face a day of reckoning with American culture.  It is inevitable because the church and American culture will soon not be able to coexist.  Our society has become an open sewer, a bastion of banality where madness has the microphone.  We have the one message that should not be hidden or redacted.

With all my heart I believe it is not too late. But it is almost too late. I implore my brothers and sisters to repent. Let us present ourselves without reservation or hesitation to Almighty God.
The Pope showed Saint Francis the wealth of the Vatican. He said, “Well Francis, the church can no longer say ‘silver and gold have I none.’”  Francis replied, “And neither can it say, “In the Name of Jesus rise up and walk.””
Likewise, fellow preachers, we can no longer say that churches aren’t growing or prospering. But neither can we say that we have delivered the witness to America that God intended—and that is the only thing that can turn the tide.

75% of pastors have not taken a stand

75% of pastors have not taken a stand in their pulpits on the midterm elections. Think of that.  With the highest stakes ever—and the Christian vote essential for victory—they have not talked about this election.

Do you doubt it?  Go by your own experience.  You will not only know it’s true, but it may be more than 75%.  Did you hear anything last Sunday?  Are you being instructed on the issues and who to vote for?  Are you hearing excuses instead of conviction?

If the polls are right, it will take a miracle for Republicans to keep the House of Representatives.  It should never have come to this.  The Christian bloc should have won easily.  Tens of millions of Christians had the power to vote the left out of office.  So far, they haven’t.

If Nancy Pelosi returns as they predict she will, the Democrats will instantly seize the Russia investigation.  They will move to impeach Trump and will even go after Kavanaugh.  Expect a torrent of subpoenas and gridlock. Expect a recession.  She’ll be back because pulpits are afraid.

I am an advocate for pastors.  They have an impossible task today.  There are many great men and women of God in America.  That is what makes this virtual blackout on the midterms so bewildering.

Think of it.  If a pastor is anything…they are a watchman.   Do they understand how the sheep will suffer in a world of anti-God laws, hateful leaders, a trashed economy, and nation that will be far more divided that it is now?  No matter how high-sounding their words—if they failed to protect the sheep from the one thing that will cause them suffering—they failed their most basic duty.

One of them said, “I will not allow divisive politics into the Kingdom of God.”  My, doesn’t that sound right.  However, it’s the pastors who refuse to speak up are the ones bringing “divisive politics” into the Kingdom of God.  We who speak out are bringing the Kingdom of God to evil.  Let me explain.

One of these silent pastors came up to me and said, “Mario, you are too political.” I thought “I’m the one who’s political?” I asked them “why aren’t you warning the church to vote against the evil of the left against the church?”  His answer was “it would divide my church and effect my finances.”  So, I said, “you mean it would cost you votes, and campaign funds?  You’re the politician not me.”

This evil began as politics but has darkened into something that hates America and what we stand for.  What we are trying to stop is not politics—it transcends politics.  It is a Satanic agenda we are attacking.  Ever since Obama, it stopped being politics and it became spiritual warfare.

The decision to seek self-preservation above the good of the people and the nation is the kind of politics that would make a leftist senator proud.

But there is another villain in this situation and I am calling you out.  If you threatened your pastor—by removing your money or your influence—if they were taking a stand for the Republicans in this election,

I don’t care how right to be a Never Trumper or a pro Democrat Christian you think you are.  Boycotting your church and intimidating your pastor is wrong—you should be ashamed.

If you don’t know what is at stake—if you don’t feel it is a natural extension of your faith in Christ to oppose abortion, legislation of immorality, and censorship of the church—if you attend church regularly and didn’t know how  much we stand to lose by sitting this one out…blame your pulpit.

BUT NO MATTER WHAT VOTE!!  Vote against the destruction of our freedom and our values.  Even though it appears likely Nancy Pelosi will the Speaker and Maxine Waters will be on the finance committee—vote!  Vote! Even though the experts are saying it is too late for Trump’s last-minute campaigning for beleaguered Republican candidates.  There is still time for a miracle.

AN INCONVENIENT FIRE

Bad news for the lukewarm church, fake preachers, and left-wing God haters.  In this moment of depravity and despair a single shaft of light has pierced the darkness and started an inconvenient fire.

AN INCONVENIENT FIRE

By Mario Murillo

What is this fire doing?  It is spreading an insatiable hunger to know God—just God.  A growing number of believers want to know God Himself—they want just Him.  They are not thinking about anything He can do for them.  They must know Him—more than oxygen, food and water—they must have God!

This fire awakens an ancient hunger—the hunger that possessed saints of old.  A.W. Tozer said, “Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. They mourned for Him, they prayed and wrestled and sought for Him day and night, in season and out, and when they had found Him the finding was all the sweeter for the long seeking.”

And those who already know Him want to know Him better.  Tozer continues: “Moses used the fact that he knew God as an argument for knowing Him better. “Now, therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight”; and from there he rose to make the daring request, “I beseech thee, show me thy glory.” God was frankly pleased by this display of ardor, and the next day called Moses into the mount, and there in solemn procession made all His glory pass before him.”

But why would this be the worst nightmare to masked Antifa thugs, tepid seeker churches or false ministers?   Isn’t this fire pulling saints off the front lines into a full-time pursuit of God?   How can this be a threat?  It is the greatest threat!   NOTHING TERRIFIES SATAN MORE THAN A WIDESPREAD HUNGER TO KNOW GOD:

-It puts them into the place and condition that Jesus has yearned for His church.  They are in God’s presence devoid of ideas, agendas, or blueprints.   Their intercession is no longer contaminated.  Prayer is no longer a booster rocket for pet projects.  They are self-emptying to see God in His beauty.

God has triumphed over their dead works.  By doing this He kills the source of their anxiety, cares and inadequacy.   David Wilkerson said, “I had more ideas than any preacher in America. Ideas on how to evangelize. How to organize New Testament programs. The programs and ideas were successful enough to entrap me and keep me on the treadmill of busy-ness.

But all along my heart yearned for more. I knew the blessing was not in building. Not in some well-planned scheme to reach the lost. Not in bigness, and not in activity. I discovered the hard way, that the glory of God, the peace and joy of the Spirit, was in being stripped down, emptied, and made totally weak.”

-They are suddenly alive the real horror—their own flesh.  The issue is no longer the depravity of the culture but their personal carnality.  This inconvenient fire struck Isaiah with such agony he tossed his prayer for influence and power aside.  All he can cry is; “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”-Isaiah 6:5.   Isaiah is unmade to be remade.

In the towering glory, you see the indescribable.   You see how victorious God is.  How inevitable is His victory!  You see Satan’s utter defeat.  You are transfixed by the wisdom available—the resources at Gods’ disposal—the tactics He can use.  His mighty plan makes our plans microscopically puny.

God will declare to you what He said to Isaiah: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah”- 55: 8,9.

-Here’s what makes this fire so inconvenient:  It was simply not in the plan.

-It was not in the plan for the lukewarm convenient church to level off and be overruled by inconvenient fire.  Attraction based churches fold when God Himself becomes the attraction.

-It was not in the plan for fake ministers to ever stop lying, prospering, or fooling the masses.  The light and heat of this fire will expose and topple them.

-It was not in the plan for left-wing God haters to see their plan to eradicate Christianity from America neutralized by inconvenient fire.

This spreading flame—and the powerful vessels it creates—was simply not in the plan.   So emerges a new vessel—a designed weapon.  An inconvenient person appears on the American stage.  They will own a passion you cannot stop—words you cannot gainsay—and miracles you cannot deny.

TRUMP’S VISION FOR AMERICA

By Peggy Noonan

Trump believes that America should not intervene militarily in other country’s problems without being compensated for doing so. If America is going to risk the lives of our soldiers and incur the expense of going to war, then the nations we help must be willing to pay for our help. Using the Iraq War as an example, he cites the huge monetary expense to American taxpayers (over $1. 5 trillion, and possibly much more depending on what sources are used to determine the cost) in addition to the cost in human life. He suggests that Iraq should have been required to give us enough of their oil to pay for the expenses we incurred. He includes in those expenses the medical costs for our military and $5 million for each family that lost a loved one in the war and $2 million for each family of soldiers who received severe injuries.

Trump wants America to have a strong military again. He believes the single most important function of the federal government is national defense. He has said he wants to find the General Patton or General MacArthur who could lead our military buildup back to the strength it needs to be. While he hasn’t said it directly that I know of, Trump’s attitude about America and about winning tells me he’d most likely be quick to eliminate rules of engagement that handicap our military in battle. Clearly Trump is a “win at all costs” kind of guy, and I’m sure that would apply to our national defense and security, too.

peggy_noonan-copy

Trump wants a strong foreign policy and believes that it must include 7 core principles: A) American interests come first. Always. No apologies. 😎 Maximum firepower and military preparedness. C) Only go to war to win. D) Stay loyal to your friends and suspicious of your enemies. E) Keep the technological sword razor sharp. F) See the unseen Prepare for threats before they materialize. G) Respect and support our present and past warriors.

Trump believes that terrorists who are captured should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals like the Obama administration treats them.

Trump makes the point that China ‘s manipulation of their currency has given them unfair advantage in our trade dealings with them. He says we must tax their imports to offset their currency manipulation, which will cause American companies to be competitive again and drive manufacturing back to America and create jobs here. Although he sees China as the biggest offender, he believes that America should protect itself from all foreign efforts to take our jobs and manufacturing. For example, Ford is building a plant in Mexico and Trump suggests that every part or vehicle Ford makes in Mexico be taxed 35% if they want to bring it into the U.S., which would cause companies like Ford to no longer be competitive using their Mexican operations and move manufacturing back to the U. S. , once again creating jobs here.

Trump wants passage of NOPEC legislation (No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act – NOPEC – S. 394), which would allow the government to sue OPEC for violating antitrust laws. According to Trump, that would break up the cartel. He also wants to unleash our energy companies to drill domestically (sound like Sarah Palin’s drill baby, drill?) thereby increasing domestic production creating jobs and driving domestic costs of oil and gas down while reducing dependence on foreign oil.

Trump believes a secure border is critical for both security and prosperity in America . He wants to build a wall to stop illegals from entering and put controls on immigration. (And he says he’ll get Mexico to pay for the wall, which many have scoffed at, but given his business successes I wouldn’t put it past him.) He also wants to enforce our immigration laws and provide no path to citizenship for those who are here illegally.

Trump wants a radical change to the tax system to not only make it better for average Americans, but also to encourage businesses to stay here and foreign businesses to move here. The resulting influx of money to our nation would do wonders for our economy. He wants to make America the place to do business. He also wants to lower the death tax and the taxes on capital gains and dividends. This would put more than $1. 6 trillion back into the economy and help rebuild the 1. 5 million jobs we’ve lost to the current tax system. He also wants to charge companies who outsource jobs overseas a 20% tax, but for those willing to move jobs back to America they would not be taxed. And for citizens he has a tax plan that would allow Americans to keep more of what they earn and spark economic growth. He wants to change the personal income tax to: Up to $30,000 taxed at 1%. From $30,000 to $100,000 taxed at 5%. >From $100,000 to $1,000,000 taxed at 10%. $1,000,000 and above taxed at 15%.

Trump wants Obamacare repealed. He says it’s a “job-killing, health care-destroying monstrosity” that “can’t be reformed, salvaged, or fixed”. He believes in allowing real competition in the health insurance marketplace to allow competition to drive prices down. He also believes in tort reform to get rid of defensive medicine and lower costs.

Trump wants spending reforms in Washington, acknowledging that America spends far more than it receives in revenue. He has said he believes that if we don’t stop increasing the national debt once it hits $24 trillion it will be impossible to save this country.

Even though he says we need to cut spending, he does not want to harm those on Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security. He believes that the citizens have faithfully paid in to the system to have these services available and that the American government has an obligation to fulfill its end of the bargain and provide those benefits. Therefore, he wants to build the economy up so that we have the revenue to pay those costs without cutting the benefits to the recipients. He disagrees with Democrats who think raising taxes is the answer and says that when you do that you stifle the economy. On the other hand, when you lower taxes and create an environment to help businesses they will grow, hire more workers, and those new workers will be paying taxes that become more tax revenue for the government.

Trump also wants reform of the welfare state saying that America needs “a safety net, not a hammock. “ He believes in a welfare to work program that would help reduce the welfare rolls and encourage people to get back to work. And he wants a crackdown on entitlement fraud.

Trump believes climate change is a hoax.

Trump opposes Common Core.

Trump is pro-life, although he allows for an exception due to rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

Trump is pro 2nd Amendment rights.

Trump’s view on same-sex marriage is that marriage is between a man and a woman, but he also believes that this is a state’s rights issue, not a federal issue.

Trump supports the death penalty.

Trump believes that there is a lack of common sense, innovative thinking in Washington (Hmmm. . . looks like he believes in horse sense! ). He says it’s about seeing the unseen and that’s the kind of thinking we need to turn this country around. He tells a personal story to illustrate the point: “When I opened Trump National Golf Club at Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles , I was immediately told that I would need to build a new and costly ballroom. The current ballroom was gorgeous, but it only sat 200 people and we were losing business because people needed a larger space for their events. Building a new ballroom would take years to get approval and permits (since it’s on the Pacific Ocean ), and cost about $5 million. I took one look at the ballroom and saw immediately what needed to be done. The problem wasn’t the size of the room, it was the size of the chairs. They were huge, heavy, and unwieldy. We didn’t need a bigger ballroom, we needed smaller chairs! So I had them replaced with high-end, smaller chairs. I then had our people sell the old chairs and got more money for them than the cost of the new chairs. In the end, the ballroom went from seating 200 people to seating 320 people. Our visitors got the space they desired, and I spared everyone the hassle of years of construction and $5 million of expense. It’s amazing what you can accomplish with a little common sense. On top of his saving years of construction and $5 million in expenses, he also was able to keep the ballroom open for business during the time it would have been under remodeling, which allowed him to continue to make money on the space instead of losing that revenue during construction time.

Donald Trump’s entire life has been made up of success and winning. He’s been accused of bankruptcies, but that’s not true. He’s never filed personal bankruptcy. He’s bought companies and legally used bankruptcy laws to restructure their debt, just as businesses do all the time. But he’s never been bankrupt personally.

He’s a fighter that clearly loves America and would fight for our nation. Earlier I quoted Trump saying, “I love America . And when you love something, you protect it passionately – fiercely, even.”
