PETER ON THE DAY AFTER

First, he screamed and he kept screaming until he could scream no more. Then he fell off a cliff into the abyss of broken souls. He crashed with a force that could have moved the earth. Around him lay fragments—the new and hideous replacements of his former self. Shame replaced love. Cowardice replaced faith. Hope was driven out to make room for the mocking predator. Worst of all was the deep despair he felt as he saw his destiny plunge into a black hole of regret.

This all happened the day after Jesus died.

To survive, Peter virtually became a robot. He reverted to fishing. It’s what he was programmed to do. It’s what he knew best. He went through the motions to avoid every feeling, suppressing every emotion.

The difference between Peter and Judas Iscariot is razor thin. The fever of despair and regret raged in Peter every bit as hot as it had in Judas. It drove Judas to suicide. Why not Peter? Why didn’t he do what the other traitor did? It was because Jesus had prayed for him.

Satan told Peter a lie. Peter not only believed that lie, he now embodied it. And, it is the same lie that Satan is telling America right now—the lie that all the important things are gone forever.

Whenever those who hate God and America try to enforce a change, they call it ‘THE NEW NORMAL.’ They sold us on ‘THE NEW NORMAL’ of abortion, same sex marriage, and godless education. Their latest excuse for seizing control is the coronavirus. Something to remember: ‘the new normal’ is always nothing other than the old abnormal.

Peter was tortured by memories. Though he tried to fight it with all his might, it was impossible not to relive those days. Two mistakes haunted him the most. Thinking he could save Jesus, he had taken a sword and had swung it at the head of the high priest’s servant, Malchus, who, fortunately had moved just in time, losing only an ear. But his greatest horror was his discovery that he was a coward, and that he had denied Jesus three times. The rooster was still crowing in his spirit.

The hardest thing for Peter to forget was the day he met Jesus. Peter had been minding his own business when Jesus interrupted his entire life.  After fishing all night, Peter had caught nothing.   His hands were red and sore from handling the heavy nets.  Every muscle ached. He had nothing to show for a brutal night out on the water.

Then the strange Teacher said, “Let your nets down again for a catch.”  Peter half-heartedly did as he was asked, and the catch was so enormous that it terrified him.  He begged Jesus to keep His distance, “I am a sinful man!” Peter cried.

That’s when he heard the words about his destiny.  “Follow Me and I will make you a fisher of men.”

There is no doubt that Peter was convinced that now, after his failure and denial, it was too late. That fact must be clearly understood or you will not get the impact of the lesson I am about to relate.

It’s dawn on Resurrection Sunday.  Peter couldn’t know that at that very moment, an angel was talking about him.  Mark 16:7, “But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that (Jesus) is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He told to you.”  The angel added the words “and Peter.”  Why?  Because God knew Peter would have disqualified himself if the invitation was “for disciples only.”

Peter grabbed the messenger who related this to him and demanded: “Are you certain the angel said my name?!” “Yes, the words were, “Tell the disciples, and Peter.”” At that moment, Peter came back from the dead. He knew he was not rejected. He knew the unmatched glory of a true second chance.

Satan had worked hard to prevent Peter’s apostleship, because he knew this man would shake the gates of hell.  The first shaking came on the Day of Pentecost. The wind and fire of the Holy Spirit’s baptism transformed Peter

The coward, who had denied his Lord three times, was lovingly restored by the resurrected Jesus. He appeared to Peter, giving him three new chances to affirm his love. Jesus even provided a charcoal fire similar to the one near which Peter had experienced failure. Peter was completely transformed. He was now a lion carrying a devastating witness. He roared, “This is that which was spoken by the Prophet Joel!”

In the days after Jesus died, evil exerted a crushing blow on the entire city. All the Christians hid in their homes behind locked doors, and it’s like that today. Satan wishes to crush our hopes and dreams. Evil men would sell us the lie that we must adapt to a grim, cold, and dark lesser vision of America, the church, and our futures.

Those who are marked by God are unstoppable. When the doors reopen for America, God will fully restore our destiny.

But there is one miracle that remains to be explored. Cutting off Malchus’ ear haunted Peter. But there was more to it than just healing an ear. Because, my friend, that night Jesus healed more than an ear—knowing the future, Jesus knew Peter must not be sitting on death row on the day of Pentecost. Jesus prayed “permit even this” and reattached the ear, in order to protect Peter’s destiny.

Right now, He is also guarding yours.

MARY MAGDALENE ON THE DAY JESUS DIED

One of the greatest cruelties—if not the greatest in history—was done to Mary Magdalene.  She was once sold on the streets. She knew the special insanity of demon possession.  She knew the yawning blackness of total despair.

Then Jesus rescued her.  Jesus cast out seven vicious devils—devils she thought would never leave.  Once deemed human garbage, she is now redeemed and planted into a family of indescribable love.  Things would never be the same.  Her nights of remorse, her days of futility, her shame, her emptiness, were now all distant memories.

For three years she lived a life she could have never imagined, crisscrossing Judea, hanging on Jesus’ every word, weeping gloriously over every miracle.  Each morning, she awakened a more powerful and joyous woman of God!  She thought that this would go on forever.

People use the phrase “nothing could be worse…”  They use it before describing something unimaginably terrible.  I will use it this way: Nothing could be worse than to be in hell, and then taste heaven, only to return back to hell.

Then on that fateful Friday, it all went horribly, horribly wrong.  How could the One Who called the dead back to life and silenced a storm at sea, be arrested?  How could the One Who gave words of exquisite beauty, love and wisdom, be tortured and killed?  No one wanted to save Jesus more than Mary.  No one felt more horror and helplessness than she.

That night, profound hope had given way to even deeper bitterness and disappointment.  She must have thought, “If only I had never met Him.  If only He had left me to die in the streets.”  She slept only after exhaustion became more powerful than sorrow.   Too wounded to go on living, and perhaps too tired to commit suicide…

Mary is of special importance to me today, because her testimony is the best one I can think of as we commemorate this Good Friday, in such a dark time as the one we are living in.  Mary’s miracle is the miracle America needs now!

Here’s why: When the first shafts of Sunday morning light stirred her awake, she dreaded it.  If ever a heart was broken beyond repair—if ever a soul would rage against the approach of hope—if ever a woman just wanted to go back to sleep and never wake up, it was Mary.

That is why she was shocked when she felt an odd energy coming over her.  She soon felt an even stranger impulse—to go to the tomb where Jesus lay!  How could she return to the only spot on earth that could reopen her wound?

What overruled her despair?  What fuel was driving her so completely against her common sense and her broken heart?  Paul answers that emphatically! “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you” (Romans 8:11).

Do you know any therapist capable of rebuilding the ashes and rubble of her soul?  Can any drug, any teaching, any relationship, reassemble her heart the way the gentle but powerful Comforter could?

We all know about the power of the resurrection: it was the greatest display of power the universe has ever known; even greater than the alleged “big bang” that, theoretically, began the universe. The resurrection sent shock waves through the principalities and powers of darkness.  It shattered Satan’s power and stripped him of the keys of death and Hell (Rev. 1:8).  Jesus set the captives free in the bowels of the earth, and “led captivity captive” (Ephesians 4:8).

But, the first burst of resurrection power was much gentler. Mary was the first human to feel the power of the resurrection.  Her eyes, which were red and sore from sobbing, were now refreshed and clear.  Her arms which had hung limp from heartsick lethargy were now responsive, strong, and full of purpose. She sat up and found hope pumping through her veins. She wondered, “Why!”

A notion seized her, gently, but firmly.  She knew she was to go to the tomb, and she immediately got going!  Washing up, brushing her hair, and quickly getting dressed. All the while the expectancy of an indescribable ‘something’ was building in her soul.  Before she knew it, she was out the door, and charging toward her worst fear.  Only, now, she was not afraid.

She found the tomb vacant. Then she turned and saw Him whom her soul loved.  Many awesome things happened that Easter, but none more wonderful than Mary reunited with her Savior.

In the genetically altered, politically charged, drug addicted, violent purgatory that is America today, Mary Magdalene stands as a poignant figure.  She is the best testimony I can think of for our national dreams that have gone up in smoke.  Our culture has wearied itself with perversion…hunting down everything natural and replacing it with a disfigured counterfeit. It has marched, protested, and boycotted the very color and life out of everything—to the point that everything is a cause for taking offense.

What happened to Mary, is proof that there is nothing better than the Gospel.

America!  This is what you need!

“Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons” (Mark 16:9).

JESUS APPEARED FIRST TO MARY!  He had never forgotten her. He knew she was suffering the most, so He healed this precious soul first!

DO YOU KNOW WHEN AND WHEN NOT TO SUBMIT TO GOVERNMENT?

Today we woke to the up to the sad truth that Democrats  have declared war. They are demanding unconditional surrender. No only from the church but from innocent citizens. Their war compels believers to look again at what the Bible says about evil laws and evil leaders.

Doesn’t the Bible tell us to obey them no matter what? Absolutely not. And it is shocking how many believers do not know their Bible or have been given false teaching. There is no verse in the Bible that tells you to obey evil government or laws.

If we don’t realize this now, we will sit back and let our nation be destroyed.

Christians during the American Revolution understood that the Bible does not teach us to obey evil laws or leaders. There would be no America if Christian Colonists believed they should obey the evil laws of England.

Let me prove to you beyond any doubt that the Bible tells us what we must do in the face of wicked government and laws.

First, I will expose a pathetic heresy that many believers commonly accept as truth. This is a widespread excuse for submitting when we should disobey.

Here is an example of someone who wrote me while under the influence of this false teaching:

“Out of curiosity, how do you justify your argument against obeying the government when you read Romans 13:1-7. The government Paul was talking about was even more oppressive than anything we can imagine. You could truly be martyred for your faith under the Roman government. And, what was Paul’s response? Did he call for governmental reform? Did he call for us to protest the government? Did he demand his rights and call on the government to recognize his rights? None of the above, he said, in the face of a brutal government, to obey. He didn’t say obey if your rights are recognized, he said obey. The church of today has to realize that the government is not our arena as Christians. Never, in the history of the church, has God used the government to bring about change.”

This man wrote me the definitive blurb on false submission. This defense of submission to evil government is riddled with error and falsehoods. Here are my responses to selected quotes:

1.You could truly be martyred for your faith under the Roman government.” First the writer tells us to obey evil laws, but then mentions martyrs. They never would have been martyred had they not broken the law by being Christians.

2. Then he asks, “Did (Paul) call for governmental reform? Did he call for us to protest the government? Did he demand his rights and call on the government to recognize his rights? None of the above…” The truth is, Paul did all of the above. “Paul said to them, “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out” (Acts 16:37).

3. And finally, the zinger—the heresy that has sidelined the Body of Christ in the hour when we are most needed: “The church of today has to realize that the government is not our arena as Christians. Never, in the history of the church, has God used the government to bring about change.” Totally untrue. William Wilberforce was a Christian who used his faith in Jesus to abolish slavery in England. In fact, believers throughout history have created child labor laws, health regulations, and have exposed injustice, and corruption. It is safe to say that Christians are more responsible for influencing government, bringing about reform by forcing laws to be changed, and standing up for justice, than any other group in history.

So how did this writer get it so wrong? By doing what so many do. Isolating one set of verses, taking them out of context, and arriving at a conclusion that looks holy, but is in fact, pure and simple fear.

Let’s look at the verses that have been violated:

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore, you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor (Romans 13:1-7).

It seems to say that we are to honor government in every form, right? Wrong. To demonstrate what Paul is saying I offer this example. Say some parents leave the house, and leave the oldest child in charge. The child is given strict instructions not to open the door for anyone, except for a postal messenger whom they are expecting to deliver an important package that day.

The parents tell the child, “He will have blonde hair. He is wearing blue jeans and a white shirt. Don’t let anyone else in.” So later, a man with black hair, a blue shirt, and black slacks knocks on the door claiming to be the messenger with the package. Do they let him in? Of course not.

Lost in all the quoting of this verse on submission to government is the most important part: The description of the ruling authority. The Bible tells us what they are wearing! Look at the description:

1.They are not a terror to good works. Any government that terrorizes the innocent is not of God. How can you say that Hitler was God’s will for Germany? Hitler and other tyrants are in fact the ones being warned that there were God appointed governments who would destroy them: “But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”  That is why the just powers of the world rose up and destroyed the Nazis.

2. They praise good works. Authorities that are endorsed by God do not hate or oppose Christian activity. They are the ones who—even if they are not Christian themselves—do not insult soul winning or fight the work of God. They are the cops, teachers, politicians who are glad that children are getting out of gangs and off of drugs.

3. You must be subject for the sake of conscience. When it becomes tricky, is when government is a mixture of right and wrong. Jesus said of the Pharisees, “Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, but do not do” (Matthew 23:3).

Do what they say, but don’t partake of their hypocrisy. Watch them for that moment when they cross the line and come between you and your God.  Just as our conscience should drive us to obey the law, we should also know when our conscience tells us not to obey an evil law.

Here’s when Peter reached that tipping point, speaking to those very same Pharisees: “So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:18-20).

And again, in Acts 5:29, “Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.””

God not only does not endorse evil government: He will have no part in it. “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You—they who frame and hide their unrighteous doings under [the sacred name of] law?” (Psalm 94:20). There is your answer. A corrupt throne (government) cannot be allied with God. He cannot have fellowship with it.

When a government creates evil laws God cannot be allied it—because evil laws are the worst form of wickedness.

They are damnable because they give legitimacy to evil.  Matthew Henry said, “Iniquity is daring enough even when human laws are against it, which often prove too weak to give an effectual check to it; but how insolent, how mischievous, is it when it is backed by a law! Iniquity is not the better, but much the worse, for being enacted by law; nor will it excuse those that practice it to say that they did but do as they were bidden.”

Notice how at the end, Henry says we can’t use the excuse that we were just obeying the law.  That is why Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

The laws being created by Democrats, using the coronavirus as an excuse, are far worse than the virus itself because, unlike the virus, those new laws become permanent.  It is time for the church to wake up and take action, beginning with voting the evildoers out of office and quit calling our submission a godly thing, when it is just a cowardly thing.

“WHO WILL RISE UP FOR ME AGAINST THE EVILDOERS? WHO WILL STAND UP FOR ME AGAINST THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY?” (Psalm 94:16).

P.S. A message to those who support Mario Murillo’s mission to America.

John Wesley started 700 churches on three continents. One of his edicts to his young preachers was this: Always bring books for the people that will help them to grow.

We found a way to both do that and win souls. As you can imagine, a blog with this much traffic can sell advertising—something we refuse to do. What we do, is offer you materials that are chosen because they can make you armed and dangerous for Christ. The proceeds from the book and flash drive go to soul winning.

Some are offended that we offer books at all. We hope they will try to understand the two-fold blessing of offering this material. Thank you.

Our current special offer features our two most popular items: Treasury flash drive and Vessels of Fire and Glory together plus a free surprise gift from Mario Murillo Ministries.

RECLAIM YOUR TOMORROW!

“I can’t wait to get back to normal.” That, my friend, is an inadequate way of looking at things.  I want you instead to use the word reclaim.  Go beyond want to getting back to normal to the point that you confess I am going to reclaim where I would have been if none of this had happened!

Many are jobless. Their children are home from school and falling behind. The eateries, stores, and coffee shops they took for granted are now either closed or will only hand you stuff through the door. And the churches they used to attend are barely starting to reopen. But your destiny is too big to be stopped by any of that.

They stare out the window at a strange new world with no idea how bad it’s going to get, and if or when things will return to normal.  Coronavirus has destroyed their theological innocence.

The Holy Spirit has given me a warning to pass on to every child of God. You had a dream. You had a vision. You were just about to start college, start a business, get married, start a family, write a book, build a building, get a patent on a new invention, or launch out in vibrant ministry for Christ. Then the world seemed to come to an end.

The Bible, and your God-given vision and dream are not beholden to human circumstances. The Book that contains the accounts of people who stopped plagues, raised the dead, and blinded armies isn’t going to cut you any slack. DO NOT THROW TOMORROW AWAY. RECLAIM YOUR TOMORROW.

Now, the present reality is screaming at you that none of those dreams will ever come true. They say you must downgrade your hopes and dreams to a “new normal.” You must adapt to a shadow existence. That is a lethal lie from the pit of hell! I want this blog to be the electrode paddles that will kick-start your visionary heart once again.

GOD IS COMMANDING YOU—DO NOT THROW TOMORROW AWAY! GOD HAS NEVER CHANGED HIS MIND. RECLAIM YOUR FUTURE!

Do you honestly think that God didn’t know this was coming when He gave you that vision, idea, commission, or calling?  God didn’t just sit down and say, “Oh well, My child, I guess I won’t be able to do what I called you to do. I never factored in this virus thing.”

Furthermore, just because some have abused the truths of Faith and Provision, that does not change the truth about Faith and Provision. Romans 3:3 asks a burning question, “What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?”

Giving up on faith because of the virus does not make sense. This crisis doesn’t mean our faith doesn’t work—this is what our faith is for!

Kenneth Hagin did not get his revelation of the faith message during an economic boom. He got it in the depths of the Great Depression. Hagin saw faith intervene in a time of grinding poverty.

Alexander Dowie didn’t launch his healing ministry when divine healing was all the rage. He did it after the bubonic plague killed 40 members of his church. After he launched his healing ministry, no one else died in his church, and an international ministry was born.

I remember when circumstances and outward appearances caused a great evangelist I knew to back off from an important part of his message. Over dinner he told me, “Mario, the poverty was so great in the Philippines that I couldn’t preach prosperity.” I corrected him by asking, “Would you also not preach healing because they were too sick?”

Don’t you dare throw tomorrow away! Reclaim your future. Joshua 3:5 is your verse: “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will work wonders among you.”

What does ‘sanctify’ mean? It means clean up your act! This is not a time to be stunned by events. It’s time to train, prepare, pray, study and write the vision plainly so you can run with it. Fan the fading embers back into a roaring flame.

This crisis will go away. What will never go away is the regret of what you might have done for God if you hadn’t thrown it away. GOD  HAS NEVER CHANGED HIS MIND ABOUT YOUR FUTURE! RECLAIM IT!

TIME FOR THE EAGLES TO LEAVE THE TURKEY YARD

It is clear that, as the madness spreads and the church just wrings its hands, it is time for the eagles to leave the turkey-yard.  You know who you are, you who are an eagle.  There’s a fire inside you that you can’t put out.  You are ruined for ‘Church-As-Usual-Incorporated.’ For too long you’ve been told to be a good little birdie.  “Don’t ruffle any feathers!” But you just can’t stomach the stale kernels they toss to you.  You must have fresh meat.

All around you, the turkeys peck at the ground.  But all you can see are the clouds and the sky, where you know you belong. You long to be home, where the glory is.  Your place is alongside the heroes of faith that changed the course of nations.  “Survival-mode” teaching sickens you.  The idea that tepid happiness is the goal enrages you. You made the mistake of looking at old youtube.com videos.  You saw Oral Roberts.  You saw Kathryn Kuhlman.  You saw Smith Wigglesworth.  You jumped up and screamed, “But, where are the miracles today!?” (check out my blog, The Price of God’s Miracle Working Power:  https://wp.me/p1vrzp-53e   ) You made the mistake of listening to old preaching tapes, where you heard men and women preaching holy fire!  They didn’t do monologues. They didn’t do stand-up comedy. They pulled the pin out of Bible verses, and flung them like a grenade to explode into the souls of their audience.

You heard people sobbing at the altars.  You heard them linger until something real and lasting transformed them. Then something really painful happened to you…you looked at your generation. You saw the national cancer of wickedness.  You saw the insane brainwashing.  You saw the limp-wristed tactics of the church. You became like David as he stared at the paralyzed army of Israel, cowering before a defiant Goliath. You cried, “WHY DOESN’T SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING?”  So, now that you realize that the ‘SOMEBODY’ IS YOU, it is too late for you. The die is cast.  You’ve gone too far to turn back.  You now know too much.  You feel like you should leave before you hurt someone… You remember the verse, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” (Isaiah 40:31). Prayer is your escape from the prison yard of compromise and mediocrity. We’re not talking about the ‘gobble-gobble prayers’ you heard in the yard—we’re talking about falling before God and waiting upon Him until you come forth as pure gold.

What are we talking about?  We are talking about prayer that heaven can’t resist, and hell can’t stand. The kind of prayer that breaks the grip of ancient demonic strongholds.  Prayer that causes students begin to weep on campus, even though they do not know why.  Prayer that fills people with the Holy Spirit. Prayer that removes fear, and installs unshakable courage to tell a generation the genuine Good News: the mighty Gospel—which is the unapologetic, undeniable, unstoppable power of God! Eagles dare while turkeys stare! Eagles are born out of prayer. They spring forth from the hand of God, fully convinced of their destiny and their goal.  Let mistaken millennials protest against the AR-15.  You take hold of John 17:15, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world, but that you protect them from the evil one.”  That is your battle cry!  You don’t want out.  You know the Lord Jesus will keep you from the evil one! You are ready to soar into any nest of evil and destroy the works of the devil. Where eagles gather, power is present.

Where eagles gather, the deep purposes of Almighty God are revealed.  Where eagles gather, there’s no self-pity, no encounter sessions, and no hiding in your ‘safe-space.’  When turkeys are transformed into eagles, they are equipped, they are ignited, and they are fitted for war. Eagles must have a challenge.  They yearn for a cause that will summon up all of their strength, talent, and time.  They want something they can easily imagine doing for the rest of their lives. It’s time for you to fly out of the turkey yard, and never look back!

HIT ME AGAIN. I CAN STILL HEAR HIM

There once was a preacher who was just plain boring. How boring? A man on the back pew became so angry about it that he went outside and got a brick. When he came back in, he threw the brick at the preacher. But it fell short and ended up hitting a man sitting in the front row in the back of his head. The victim stood up reeling, and said, “Hit me again, I can still hear him.”

Tonight, I felt just like that man. Joe Biden’s speech was pure torture. I just wanted it to stop.

I am a man of God. I am trying to exercise restraint and grant due respect. But there comes a time when the corruption and madness is so beyond the pale that human decorum must be set aside for the sake of truth and decency.

It is difficult to say which part of the speech was the most unbearable. It was as if the father of lies had written the speech.

Was it the outrageous lie at the beginning, where He accused Trump of causing thousands to die of Covid because he was too slow to stop the virus? What a lie! And when you realize that it was Democrats who fought Trump’s efforts, it becomes a vicious lie.

Remember how Biden called Trump a racist for blocking flights to America from China? Remember Fauci telling us that the virus was not going to be a problem for America and that there was no need to take precautions? Remember Nancy Pelosi and Bill De Blasio cheering people on to go to Chinese New Year’s celebrations and to go to restaurants? Remember when they said that the protests should not stop because of the pandemic?

It is absolutely horrible that over 500,000 people have died, but remember―it was the Democrats who had estimated there would be over 2 million deaths. Trump’s valiant efforts helped stem the disaster.

Biden lied about reopening schools. Scientists say that it is safe for children to go back to school right now. Biden wants kids to stay out until the fall.

He boasted that the Covid relief bill was to fight the virus and help Americans. What a lie! 240 million of it goes to the arts—art by the way that is often blasphemous. Nancy Pelosi won 600 million for San Francisco—a city that just voted to defund the police by $160 million.

Millions more go to Blue states–not one dollar to Red states. And more millions go to countries that hate us.

Biden became embarrassing trying to make July 4th a soft reopening for Americans to gather in small groups. He even threatened to shut things down again, if necessary.

But the worst thing he said was that we must unify and trust the government. His exact words were: “Put trust and faith in our government…” Not, “Put faith in God alone,” but trust the government – the very existence of which, now residing in the White House, is based on lies and fraud.

Putting the government in more control of our lives is like having the weasel guard the chicken coop.

As the Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden found out, Biden does not want unity. He does not keep his word. He does not want the nation to heal. He says what the progressive tyrants who own him want him to say.

Tonight reinforced dreadful news about Biden.  This man did not get here by the will of the people. This man has no clue about what America needs to do.

This is supposedly the leader of the free world. But his painful lecture had no vision, no inspiration, and no hope. It sounded more like he was officiating at the funeral of America.

Only one good thing came out of this travesty. America saw for certain why we need to get to the bottom of what happened on November 3rd. Tonight, America saw the proof. After this dishonest and defeatist speech, it is crystal clear that there is no way this man could have been the people’s choice.

WHAT THE BIBLE REALLY SAYS ABOUT SUBMISSION TO GOVERNMENT.

SCRIPTURE DOES NOT TELL BELIEVERS TO OBEY EVIL LAWS

Today we woke to the up to the sad truth that Democrats  have declared war. They are demanding unconditional surrender. No only from the church but from innocent citizens. Their war compels believers to look again at what the Bible says about evil laws and evil leaders.

The wicked band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death” (Psalm 94:20). There is your answer. A corrupt throne (government) cannot be allied with God.

The Amplified Bible (1974) puts it this way: “Can a throne of destruction be allied with You, one which frames and devises mischief by decree [under the sacred name of law]?”  How much clearer can it be than this?  It proves that laws can be evil and cannot be allied with God.

In fact, evil laws are the worst form of sin. They provide legitimacy to evil.  Matthew Henry said, “Iniquity is daring enough even when human laws are against it, which often prove too weak to give an effectual check to it; but how insolent, how mischievous, is it when it is backed by a law! Leaving Sesame Street to go back to Azusa Street

The cry of my heart is that men and women of God, who are cooped up, will get fed up. My hope is that vessels of God, who are locked down, will get fired up. I am asking God to ruin them for anything other than His work!

I am hoping that God will hit them with a combination punch.  A straight jab that will awaken anger over the spirit of death and despair that is suffocating the greatest nation on earth. Followed by a right hook that will disgust them into admitting they have been living in fear of what people think.

I want you to see Satan yelling, “Yo’ Mamma!” right at you. Pastors, I want you to burn all your books on church growth, and start praying against the sorry guru who suckered you into using their putrefying programs.

Get sick! Not with a virus, but with yourself. Sick for letting boards and deacons scare you. Sick because you continually fretted over who might get offended. Sick because you stare out at the parking lot, counting cars, instead of looking up to heaven. And sick of the sermons that seem as if they were designed for Big Bird and the Cookie Monster.

Yeah, I’ll say it: My cry is that when the doors of Spirit-filled churches reopen, they will leave Sesame Street and run back to Azusa Street.

Nothing in this blog is radical. Nothing in this blog is negative or divisive. The problem with me is that I have been around too long and have seen too much. There is nothing more dangerous than an individual who understands why they are a Pentecostal. There is no one more unstoppable than the person who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit and who has experienced the tongues of fire.

I want you to rage against limp-wristed preaching, fog machines, romantic lighting, and that atmosphere that’s about as life giving as the waiting room at a DMV.

A scourge from hell has attacked our nation! That is why we need heroes! Thank God for the first responders, the courageous nurses, and the doctors. Thank God for our President who has been valiantly battling the swamp creatures.  But it is time for a new group of heroes to appear: Christians who are full of the fire of God!

The testimony of Azusa Street needs to hit us like a Mack Truck.  William Seymour, who oversaw the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the turn of the century, had none of our advantages, but we have none of his results. The glory and presence of God turned a rundown hall into a magnet for the entire world.  Today, that movement is 650 million strong.

Modern experts have tried to teach us how to trick people into coming to church, but at Azusa Street, they stampeded to the altar, drawn by God alone—without any tricks. Brother Seymour began the most powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit in modern history in an old rented building that was once a stable. It was so primitive that many times he would pray with his head hidden between two wooden milk crates that served as his pulpit. Then heaven would burst open and the presence of God would fall on those present. It wasn’t a choreographed meeting. It wasn’t a slick presentation. It was raw glory.

Don’t be the fool who says modern society is too sophisticated for Pentecost. “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Corinthians 10:4,5 AMPLIFIED, 1974 ed.)

I love that translation! Destroying sophisticated arguments! Nothing new has come down the pike that can withstand the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The devil can’t form a weapon that will prosper against a truly Spirit-filled army.

Oh God, let it be! Let frustration build like magma in a volcano! Let the silliness of our human designs task us. Let our old sermon notes torture us. Awaken, O Lord, the greatest sleeping giant in the world—The American Spirit-filled church of Jesus Christ!

Let us place a new weapon in your hand. Mario’s new book that saw this coming and gives the instructions for those would let God forge them into a nation-saving weapon.

5 THINGS YOU MUST DO DURING THIS AGONIZING WAITING PERIOD

You can’t dwell on the frightening images you will see on cable news. You can’t cave in to the hysteria.  There is something extremely important you must take care of.

After you have taken every precaution necessary for siding with truth—after you have settled it in your soul to remain strong in the Lord, wholly trusting in Him, it will be time for you to fight in a new way.

Everything in me tells me these are the most important days you will know in our lifetime. Waste them, and it will be the greatest regret of your life.

Turn your time of waiting into the most important breakthrough ever. Turn feelings of helplessness into fuel for an amazing outcome. These are days to let God do a shocking new work inside you.

It all begins with the story of Paul being arrested and put in prison. Satan put Paul in prison, intending to inflict massive damage on Christianity. He thought Paul could no longer win souls, and he could not teach the fledgling churches that desperately needed his Apostleship. In fact, he couldn’t do anything…except for one thing.

He began writing. And writing would be the most devastating thing Paul would ever do to Satan’s kingdom. If Paul hadn’t been confined, he might never have had the time to write.  How could he possibly imagine his writings would impact billions?  Paul ended up writing 60% of the New Testament. Selah.

Jailing Paul was the stupidest mistake Satan ever made, besides crucifying Christ. Now let me show you how to make this illegal new attempt to confinement in your home, his next major mistake.

1. Model faith to your children. Settle it in your soul that God will pay your bills, protect your job and restore what you have lost. Don’t speak fear and doubt in your home! The greatest lesson you will ever model for your children—and the greatest gift you will ever leave to them—is to confess that everything that has been lost will be restored. Because when this is over and God comes through—as you know He will—they will remember and apply these lessons in their lives, whenever they are threatened. The greatest thing your children can watch you do is trust in God.

2. Read the Bible. Dump all the negative contradictory rhetoric confused preachers are speaking.  Preachers are losing credibility because they foolishly predicted things and then recanted their predictions  In the Old Testament such “waffling prophets” would have been stoned. It is this lack of discipline in some prophetic camps that has wreaked havoc and left many unprepared for the storm that is upon us.

The same applies to conspiracies and accusations against Trump. How much clearer can the Bible be? Isaiah 8:12-13, “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, neither be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The Lord of Armies, Him you shall hallow; let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.”

I am a strong advocate for the fact that this election has been stolen. However, if I let myself begin to fight only in the natural, and I am thrown by the latest developments it can cripple faith.

Stop needing a “word from God” from people. Take a breather from digging for emotional resolution. This is a long war that won’t end quickly.  In 2 Timothy 2:23 Paul warned, “Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels.”

Instead, read the Bible! Now that you have a lot of time, get the Word of God in you. That is the most powerful protection, and the best way to understand how to weather this storm.

3. Make a list of goals for this waiting period, and work hard to meet those goals. Already, you see how many things have stolen your time.  You see how many things that previously cluttered your life, seem unimportant now. Because you are a child of God, nothing of yours that is vital will be stolen. Your job and your business will be brought back to life. Therefore, choose to see this as a kind of paid vacation. Paid by God.

It is a time to make overdue changes, and big and bold plans for the future. To do that, you must get to work. That means no binge-watching Netflix! It means you seek the heart of God and ask Him to show you the goals He wants you to accomplish. Write those goals out, and make the righteous choices that give those goals the very best chance of coming to pass.

This intentional goal setting insults the devil’s threats against you.

Paul wrote much of the New Testament while he was in forced confinement. This waiting period can feel like jail!  But great projects will be born—projects that may swallow up the wrong ones you had before.

Lastly make the most important goal list of all: the things you are never are never going back to.

4.Turn prayer into a habit. Inspiration will lead you to pray, but you must decide to form the habit that will keep you praying. The chilling fact is that if you do not pray during this pandemic, you will never pray at all. Let God deliver you from the greatest hindrances to prayer that I know of: impulse prayer and feeling-based prayer.

Right now, forget about how long you pray. Focus on praying each and every day. Behaviorists have shown that it takes doing something 35 times in a row, before it becomes a habit. If you create that habit, and deepen that habit, you will own life’s greatest skill.  James 5:16, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

5. Focus on personal repentance, not national repentance. You do it! Don’t wait for others, or even think about other people’s repentance. People have been babbling about national repentance as if it was something other people need to do. We don’t see national repentance happening yet, so don’t wait for it to happen. Repent on your own!

We still do not even see widespread repentance among preachers. Have you heard many preachers on social media admit they’ve been wrong?  We are flooded with messages from preachers. But have you heard one major pastor or preacher repent or promise that they will run church differently than they did before? Do you see many who are willing to stand with Trump at this hour? Do you see many preachers who aren’t just chomping at the bit to restart the same old thing? I promise you, unless deep repentance takes place, you will be shocked at how unchanged the American church will be, after all of this. Think about this: How much really changed after 9/11?

Remember, God is judging America as much because of the world, as because of the church.  The carnal church has left us open to this disaster. And yet, without repentance, we have zero reason to believe it won’t go back to exactly the way it was before. In other words, they will have learned nothing from the pandemic and the election. They just don’t get it.

We pray that God will not force the issue of repentance by extending and deepening our national crisis, until America implodes completely. But you have to wonder how they can all say they want this to be over, and yet they still will not repent.

But, we must not set our hope on that. Our hope is founded on the knowledge that we must repent before God—and that is personal repentance.

We are at the point where only a miracle from God will expose the deep corruption that has taken over the Democrats and their cohorts. Our helplessness is an opportunity to look to God in faith.

My prayer in this hijacked election is from 2 Chronicles 20:12 “O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

Total trust will lead to the real miracle of mercy. You see, you can stand as a priest between the sins of America, the sins of the church, and God. That is true intercession. There is a righteous core of believers who can turn this plague away. (read Numbers chapter 16)

Remember, God said He would spare Sodom and Gomorrah if there were just 10 righteous people. We are not going to rebuke this away; we are going to repent it away. You have the power to stand between God and this virus.

We must give God what He is seeking. We can’t worry about how many others are interceding, even if there are only a few. The promises of the Lord are never vague! Neither are the conditions to His promises.

2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
