Dear Christian Save Yourself from the Democratic Party. Yes, you heard me right—get out while you can. The Democratic Party’s last shred of credibility died during Trump’s State of the Union address. While 75% of Americans approved of Trump’s speech, the scowling, aging waxworks of the DP’s leadership sat like barnacles on a corroding ship.
They could not even cheer for our military veterans. They frowned at the American Flag and the National Anthem. Their bitter faces found no compassion for a couple whose daughters were murdered by illegal alien members of the MS-13 gang.
Do a snap comparison.
The Republican platform: The Trump/Republican platform has created the lowest jobless rate for blacks in history. The Stock Market has set more records in less time than ever. Trump’s tax break has Disney, Home Depot, and many other corporations giving out thousand dollar bonuses to entire work forces. (Nancy Pelosi called this crumbs.)
Money is coming back to America from overseas just as Trump predicted. Even at the hostile World Economic Summit in Davos, Switzerland, European companies said they would invest in America.
The Democratic Platform: Hate Trump.
(Oh yeah…and hate Christians). They are deranged to the point of thinking, speaking, breathing, and spewing nothing but Trump hate.
Their breathtaking arrogance alone, should make you abandon them—like nuclear waste! They take their base completely for granted. They live in an alternate reality. They believe they can say or do anything and their base will blindly follow them.
If you are a believer get out. You should get out because they told you to get out. They pulled the welcome mat out from under you, years ago. Democrats have screamed WE DON’T WANT YOU at Christians for decades. They deem the Bible to be a hateful, obsolete tome. They find everything you believe to be racist, sexist, homophobic, and every other phobia.
A Christian Democrat in California makes as much sense as a screen door on a submarine. The Democratic Party is the reason Christians are fired in Silicon Valley for sharing their faith. Sacramento is a seething nest of anti-Christian sentiment.
Whatever pulse of decency they had as a national party stopped last night in that hallowed hall. Their deranged hearts and minds were on full display for the world to see: they hate everything you hold dear.
For the love of God—and, I mean that literally—save yourself.
The president wrote, “If I ever meet you on the street, you’re going to need a new nose job and a supporter below.” At a Jewish Seminary in New York, he blurted out “I am King Cyrus!” The thing is…
this wasn’t Trump. It was President Harry Truman. Okay, here’s a president who puts his intention to commit felony assault in writing—imagine that tweet!
He essentially calls himself the reincarnation of King Cyrus—delusional?
Oh, and did you know he tried to get power to draft an entire labor union into the Army to punish them for striking? Trump is tame by comparison.
Imagine what CNN would do to Harry Truman today, if Harry was a republican.
Mark Twain said, “facts are a stubborn thing.” It’s a fact Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson nursed greater hatred for the media in their day than Trump does today.
This historical perspective shows us Trump is not the madman, the media needs him to be.
Notice I said need. They need to destroy him. It is a bottomless need. It is a need so intense it consumed all rational journalism. Facts are irrelevant. Any good Trump does must be ignored or twisted into evil. They have sold their souls. Alec Baldwin said, “there is no way to be too nasty to Trump.”
The need has reduced them to pathetic, blithering automatons who must tell the most trivial lies about him: killing goldfish, and how many scoops of ice cream he takes.
Instead of learning from the spanking they got during the election—they increased the dosage of venom. It’s no longer about ratings—as CNN so eloquently proves—it is only about destroying Trump, even if it means self destruction.
A football player gets punched but the ref doesn’t see it, but he does see the victim punch back and flags him? Times a million, welcome to Trump’s world.
Not only is Trump not crazy. Not only are his outbursts understandable. He has behaved with greater restraint than his predecessors who could never imagine this tyranny of fake news. -Mario Murillo
Footnotes: My sources:
1. Truman letter to Paul Hume:
“I’ve just read your lousy review of Margaret’s concert. I’ve come to the conclusion that you are an ‘eight ulcer man on four ulcer pay.’
“It seems to me that you are a frustrated old man who wishes he could have been successful. When you write such poppy-cock as was in the back section of the paper you work for it shows conclusively that you’re off the beam and at least four of your ulcers are at work.
“Someday I hope to meet you. When that happens, you’ll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes, and perhaps a supporter below!
“[Newspaper columnist Westbrook] Pegler, a gutter snipe, is a gentleman alongside you. I hope you’ll accept that statement as a worse insult than a reflection on your ancestry.”
2. THE MAKING OF A NATION – a program by the Voice of America.
“The first sign of trouble came in September 1945. A group of workers closed down automobile factories at the Ford Company. Then, workers at the General Motors auto company went on strike. Soon there were strikes everywhere.
Workers went on strike in the oil industry, the clothing industry, the wood-cutting industry and the electrical industry.
The strikes made Truman angry. He believed the striking workers were threatening the economy and security of the United States. He got even angrier when representatives of striking steel and railroad workers came to the White House and refused to accept a compromise wage offer.
“You are crazy,” Truman told the union leader, “if you think I am going to sit here and let you stop this whole country.”
Truman ordered government forces to take over the railroads and the coal mines. And within a short time, the striking coal miners returned to work. However, the president had less success with the railroad workers. He became so angry with them that he asked Congress to give him the power to draft all striking rail workers into the armed forces.”
Seeds of Doubt by John B Judis January 15, 2014
“In November 1953, after he had left the presidency, Harry Truman traveled to New York to be feted at the Jewish Theological Seminary. When his old friend Eddie Jacobson introduced him as “the man who helped create the state of Israel,” Truman responded, “What do you mean ‘helped to create’? I am Cyrus.” Truman was referring to the Persian King who overthrew the Babylonians in 593 B.C.E. and helped the Jews, who had been held captive in Babylon, return to Jerusalem and rebuild their temple.”
The enemies of Trump suffer from short term memory loss. They salivate every time he goes through a crisis. “This is it. He’s finished.” How many times must I tell you—he thrives on crisis—he wins when he loses—he has a resilience not of this earth. Stop pinning your hopes on his demise; it’s a spin class in futility. Here are 5 reasons why.
5 REASONS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT DONALD TRUMP
By Mario Murillo
He will not be impeached. He will not even be censured. The next four years and more are his. Hate me, laugh at me, despise my writing…it does not matter, he will survive.
To all who support Trump, there are 5 reasons for you not to worry. I am not even going to get spiritual about it. I am not going to give you a glassy stare, feign some prophetic moment, and speak in a breathy tone. Just the facts.
1. The poll numbers are skewed against him. Scientists have shown that when people have a favorite candidate who is attacked by the press they go silent. They still support the person, they just won’t tell you. Many, many more than we hear about still support Trump.
Moreover, Americans have a deep sense of fair play. They go for the underdog. Our people see the flagrant, wanton and disgraceful attacks on Trump by the media. They are giving him a break for that. They also understand his rookie mistakes, he is not a politician… we didn’t want a politician, remember?
Here’s the tragic part for his haters…his base still believes he loves America and wants to make her great again.
2. It’s the economy, oh thou lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind. Unemployment is at a 16-year low, and the consumer sentiment levels are at near record highs. When all the background noise settles, and the voter, with a good paying job, stands before the lever to vote—the thought of returning to an Obama economy will horrify.
3. He has plenty of time to win back those who have turned against him. Listen to Jake Novak senior editor at CNBC: “Both party establishments still need a vote-getting leader and President Trump already has the White House leadership role they covet. He has enormous executive power at his fingertips and the ability to win over some doubters with even the smallest backtracking like his recent ousting of Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon, or just the passage of time.”
4. The other side still looks way worse. Two men trapped in the woods are suddenly charged by a bear. One man takes off barefoot the other stops to put on his shoes. The runner asks why are you doing that? The other replies, I only need to be faster than you.
Chuck Schumer annoys his base, let alone the rest of us. Elizabeth Warren is a shrill throated hater of the white middle-class worker. Bernie Sanders’ economy from Mars plays well only because pot has been legalized on campus. Maxine Waters is a VOTE FOR TRUMP machine. Nancy Pelosi is, well, Nancy Pelosi.
5. Millions are praying for our nation. I do not agree with everything Trump does. If he asked me I would have some strong words on certain things. What I cannot deny are these things:
He put a conservative in the Supreme Court. He stands with Israel. He is against abortion. He wants to remove the hideous Johnson Amendment that took away freedom of speech from preachers. He wants to secure the border. He is working to stop other nations from abusing us and harming us.
Thoughtful believers see past the fog. They see what I see, they are praying for his protection, for wisdom and for God’s favor. Those prayers will be answered.
Who am I to say this last part? Mr. President, shake off the distractions and remember the message that put you in the White House. Keep on making America Great Again. The rest will take care of itself.
