HOW THE MOST JUDGMENTAL PEOPLE TELL CHRISTIANS NOT TO JUDGE

What is the most dangerous lie in America?  What is killing us?  The abuse of a simple phrase that Jesus used, “Judge not that you be not judged.”  In the last few days, our site has smeared with vile posts by people claiming to be open-minded and, amazingly claiming to be more intelligent.  What was even more tragic was the host of self-defined Christians who went along with them saying silly things, “we shouldn’t judge,” and my personal favorite, “you are making it harder for us to reach people.”

I am not making it harder for you to reach people, because I wonder if you are reaching anyone.  How can you witness?  At some  point in witnessing you have to make a moral judgment.

I live in Northern California, ground zero for liberalism.  They are constantly telling people not to judge.  Their hilarious hypocrisy is breathtaking.  Bay Area liberals are the most judgmental people on the planet.  I have lived under environmental, nutritional, gender sharia law most of my adult life.

Last December in Danville California I said, “Merry Christmas,” to my waiter.  He scowled at me and said, “I do not want to exclude anyone.”Talk about a hair trigger!  Everything on earth is a cause for liberals.  How do they sleep at night with so much judging to do???  They judge, food, animal treatment, gardening, the car you drive, even your fireplace.  To them, it is a world is filled with “ists.”    Sexists, elitists, capitalists, fascists, racists, and now because of animal rights there are “Specists” (people who believe humans are a higher species than man.)

Christians we better wake up!  Don’t take Jesus out of context just so you can hide in a deeply immoral nation.   Now read these exercpts by BRANNON HOWSE:

“Tolerance mongers seem to have found the one absolute truth they are willing to live by. How many times have you heard someone say, “Judge not lest you be judged”? The statement has become the great American open-mindedness mantra when anyone has the courage to declare that someone else’s belief, actions or lifestyle is morally amiss.

Another form of the same non-judgmental judgment is “that may be true for you, but it’s not true for me.” The logic behind the statement goes something like this: “Your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth. We are both right, and I hold to my opinion of truth.” The last time I checked, it was impossible for two chairs to occupy the same space around my dining room table, but evidently such rules of time, space and logic don’t apply to tolerance philosophy.

Postmodernism’s live-and-let-live concept of truth argues that even two opposite and wholly contradictory claims can both be true. This is as stupid as saying that black and white are the same color. Yet, it clarifies the absurdity of the postmodernism we are all supposed to blithely accept as the fundamental principle by which we respond to each other’s ideas – the “please and thank-you” of philosophical respect.

So beware.  If you dare claim that another person’s truth is not, in fact, truth but is, in fact, wrong, you are not only being intolerant but you are also being – Mantra forbid! – Judgmental.

In his book “True for You, But Not for Me,” Paul Copan describes the fallacy in this all too common thinking:

It has been said that the most frequently quoted Bible verse is no longer John 3:16 but Matthew 7:1: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” We cannot glibly quote this, though, without understanding what Jesus meant. When Jesus condemned judging, he wasn’t at all implying we should never make judgments about anyone. After all, a few verses later, Jesus himself calls certain people “pigs” and “dogs” (Matt 7:6) and “wolves in sheep’s clothing” (7:15). … What Jesus condemns is a critical and judgmental spirit, an unholy sense of superiority. Jesus commanded us to examine ourselves first for the problems we so easily see in others. Only then can we help remove the speck in another’s eye – which, incidentally, assumes that a problem exists and must be confronted.

Those that tell you not to judge, quoting Matthew 7:1 grossly out of context, are often some of the most mean-spirited, judgmental souls you could ever meet. It’s not, of course, that they don’t want anyone to judge anything, because they want very much to judge and condemn your commitment to lovingly speak and practice your Christian worldview. You see how these tolerance rules work? We must tolerate them, but they don’t have to tolerate us. The logic is consistent, anyway.

Today’s postmodern culture of adults and students is so consumed by non-judgmentalism that there are some who say we should not even call wrong or evil the terrorists that attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001. In a Time magazine essay entitled “God Is Not on My Side. Or Yours,” Roger Rosenblatt offers the philosophical underpinnings of the live-and-let-live rule for global terrorism:

“One would like to think that God is on our side against the terrorists, because the terrorists are wrong and we are in the right, and any deity worth his salt would be able to discern that objective truth. But this is simply good-hearted arrogance cloaked in morality – the same kind of thinking that makes people decide that God created humans in his own image. The God worth worshiping is the one who pays us the compliment of self-regulation, and we might return it by minding our own business.”

ht and wrong is “good-hearted,” even if the reactions to it aren’t. Alison Hornstein, for instance, is a student at Yale University who observed the disconnect between tolerance and reality. Writing on “The Question That We Should Be Asking – Is Terrorism Wrong?” in the Dec. 17, 2001, issue of Newsweek, Alison noted, “My generation may be culturally sensitive, but we hesitate to make moral judgments.” While that might be putting it mildly, she goes on to say:

Student reactions expressed in the daily newspaper and in class pointed to the differences between our life circumstances and those of the [9-11] perpetrators, suggesting that these differences had caused the previous day’s events. Noticeably absent was a general outcry of indignation at what had been the most successful terrorist attack of our lifetime. These reactions and similar ones on other campuses have made it apparent that my generation is uncomfortable assessing, or even asking whether a moral wrong has taken place.”

Hornstein further describes how on Sept. 12th – one day after Islamic extremists murdered more than 3,000 people on American soil – one of her professors “did not see much difference between Hamas suicide bombers and American soldiers who died fighting in World War II. When I saw one or two students nodding in agreement, I raised my hand. …. American soldiers, in uniform, did not have a policy of specifically targeting civilians; suicide bombers, who wear plainclothes, do. The professor didn’t call on me. The people who did get a chance to speak cited various provocations for terrorism; not one of them questioned its morality.”

If Americans don’t start to judge and punish evil instead of accepting all ideas and beliefs as equal, we will become a nation that welcomes same-sex marriage, polygamy, pedophilia, incest, euthanasia and likely a host of moral aberrations so bizarre they’re still hidden in the darkest reaches of the Internet.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say, “you know we are not to judge people; even the Bible says ‘judge not lest you be judged.’” Americans had better start getting comfortable with politically incorrect, non-humanistic forms of making intelligent judgments on moral issues because even if we don’t make them, I’m concerned there is Someone very willing to hold our nation accountable for what we allow. And He doesn’t respond well to intimidation, name-calling, flawed logic or being quoted out of context.

The prayer that will prevail for America

The Bible shows us that supernatural evil can establish itself in a culture and open a floodgate of misery.  How these spirits can be confronted and driven back should be the study of every child of God.

The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ inflicted the greatest wound evil has ever known.  Today, we need evil to take another massive hit in America.  To do this we must realize that we are in a war, an invisible war.

The idea of an invisible war raging all around them paralyzes most Christians. Their daily life overwhelms them.  They are losing their health and their mind because of supernatural stress.  Yet, for all of this, they refuse to open their eyes to the war that is costing them dearly. But see it they must, or they will live out the rest of their days discouraged, helpless and exhausted.

Yes, it is chilling to realize that something supernatural hates you and those you love.  It is even more frightening to discover how much the destruction being caused by principalities and powers are doing to our nation.

The Bible has methods for dealing with Satan’s agenda.  God yearns to reveal Himself as a mighty warrior on behalf of those who will take the time to become armed and dangerous.  But instead of heeding the cry of the Holy Spirit most believers are content to live in dread, defeat, and confusion.

The evil one of course, loves it this way.  He wants you to live on the defensive.  He wants you reacting instead of acting.  He wants you to feel that darkness is inevitable and that the works of vile men cannot be reversed.  In fact, the wicked one wants you to believe that the overpowering demands of your everyday life are so great that you cannot even consider being a warrior in the larger battle for the soul of a nation.  How better to dismantle America than to prevent the army of God from ever entering the theater of battle?

Let me speak plainly.  Have you had enough?  Are you ready to reopen the Bible and apply its message of supernatural victory to your life?

He is Risen

You road map to victory begins by asking the right question.

1. What is God’s will for me as a warrior?  We must answer the bigger questions but this one comes first.  The Bible tells you that your FATHER wants you strong, securing the thoughts and emotions in your mind to force them to submit to truth.  Confess that your father wants to make you mighty through training for and living in a culture of victory forged by habitual breakthroughs in battle.

Ephesians 6:10-13 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

You must settle the question of your victory in this war.  Yes, you must fight but you are designed for triumph in battle.  Admit that the evil one has had the upper hand because of your ignorance of the Word of God and the heart of God, and that you are done with this ignorance once and for all.

That you may not yet know how to fight does not matter at this point.  You may not yet have your emotions under control.  What you need now is to know beyond knowing that God your Father has assured you inward and outward victory.

GodBlessAmerica

2. Now you must take your stand.  “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”  – Ephesians 6: 14-17

This is your personal declaration of war.  Some balk at this because the idea that they are challenging Satan awakens fear.  “If I announce my opposition to Satan I open myself up to attack.”  This is a huge misnomer.  You are already under attack.  The only difference now is that you are fighting back.

It is a disastrous myth to think that if you leave Satan alone that he will leave you alone.  As I have said before, that is like believing that the bull will not charge because you are a vegetarian.

Since you are going to be attacked anyway, you must learn how to return fire.  Nothing matches prayer for retaliation against Satan.

3.  Now we must begin praying prayers that get through and prevail. The truth that God has limited some of His activity to our prayers is a great mystery.  However, we do not have the luxury of waiting until we unravel this mystery before we avail ourselves of the great privilege of prevailing prayer.

When Jesus taught us that we need to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” the clear message is that God waits for us to enforce the victory He won on the Cross.   Simply put, heaven comes to earth in pieces, in segments as the product of fervent prayer.   We are commissioned, empowered and trained to take high value ground that was once the unchallenged property of Satan.

It is urgent that you see why that after Paul told us to be strong and to put on all of the armor in Ephesians 6, he concludes his admonition with verse18: “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”

Prayer and prevailing prayer can look the same but they are completely different.  You may have been praying and then settling for something that is not the will of God.  The angel told Daniel, Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia.” -Daniel 10:12, 13.

Whatever it takes: The modern spoon-fed believer cannot imagine warring 21 minutes let alone 21 days.  Yet, it is this tenacity in intercession that changes the world.  You pray fervently, utterly and without regard to time or personal sacrifice because your marriage, your children, grandchildren and the miracles that yearn to come are worth it!

gwprayingvalleyforge2

Consider that Daniel did not have the great intercessor Jesus at the right hand of God.  The victory of Calvary was still a future event and its eternal benefits were not yet in place.  How much more then should we feel bolder in prayer than Daniel!

First you counterpunch the attacks in your soul.  Then you take on the attacks on your loved ones.  You enlarge your retaliation to envelope health, finances, taxes, enemies, and your entire daily grind.

With each victory comes a deeper resolve.  You exhale knowing you are finally on the offensive driving back devils that you once tolerated for reasons you cannot even remember.  The days of dread are in your rear view mirror.

Yes, you will be attacked again but now instead of dread you welcome the opportunity to exercise your new found boldness in prayer and to see the new kinds of intervention that the Holy Spirit will unfold.

4. Now you have earned the right to call America back to God through prayer!  You can ask questions you never asked before. Arthur Matthews said, “Questions again flood our minds.  How do these spirit powers exert their influence in society?  Where do they get in?  Is there a distinctive modus operandi that would help us identify them?  What can or what should we be doing to control and prevent their intrusion?”

Here is a historical fact that should deeply sober every American Christian: Israel lost the knowledge of God in one generation.  Judges 2:10,11 says, “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel. Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals.”

Satan has saved his very best lie for God’s remnant. Remember that Jesus said “to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”  Satan is plying a special lie on the elect of God!  Satan is even imitating the voice of the Holy Spirit to tell this lie!  He is doing this because this remnant is the final firewall stopping his agenda for America.

In a nutshell, here is the deceiving message from the devil to the righteous core:  “The best days of the Church are behind you.  God must judge America to allow the return of Christ. God cannot do it again because He does not want to. The bottom line of this lie is the times are too hard, the task is too great and we are too small.”

I have heard from sources I trust, that a deep state within our government has dreadful plans to overrule the Constitution, and come after our freedoms.  What do we do with this information?  The saints in Damascus heard Saul of Tarsus was coming with authority from the government to arrest and execute Christians.

Those believers could have cited end time prophecy to justify running and hiding but instead they took their stand.  They set themselves to fervent prayer and unleashed heaven on the situation.  A light blasts Saul off of his horse ending the threat.  As a bonus to this victory, the Church gets a new Apostle named Paul.

In this hour, our revival prayer must be mingled with two seemingly opposing attitudes:  An utter desperation that admits that God must do it again, and a violent confidence that God will do it

again!

HOLY SPIRIT YOU’RE NOT WELCOME HERE

We sing “Holy Spirit You are welcome here,” but the truth is He is not at all welcome.  He has no say in our activities.  He has been evicted from His rightful place.

We can and should have power.  We should be winning millions.   Medically confirmed healings should be a norm.  Hardened sinners should be collapse before the might of God’s presence in our meetings.

What makes our present defeat, so vexing, is that it is so unnecessary.   We have the best message in the world.  Everything hurting our nation can be healed by the Holy Spirit. There is no raging debate today that is not solved by the Gospel.  There is no injustice that cannot be cured by Christ.

Instead, we put our worst foot forward.  We teach light and airy, even silly things—things that not only bounce off the unchurched—they weaken the churched.

We sing “Holy Spirit You are welcome here,” but the truth is He is not at all welcome.  He has no say in our activities.  He has been evicted from His rightful place.

When you finally see who the Holy Spirit is, and what His active role should be…our current condition will horrify you.

OUTPOURING AT WARRIOR FEST WITH PERRY STONE

Jesus said in John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore, I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”

All church life must flow out of the Holy Spirit.  He is the leader of the worldwide conviction of sin and righteousness. He is our key to decode a culture.  Our relevance is from Him.  Our organizational structure is by Him.   He is the exclusive purveyor of everything Jesus must give earth.

GREAT HARVEST OF SOULS IN SAN BERNARDINO CA

Here are just two examples of how practical dependency on the Holy Spirit in the early church solved massive crisis:

“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” -Acts 13:2

-“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things…-Acts 15:28

The power and blessing of those two Spirit-born strategies continues to this hour.  The first, created the New Testament Churches—hence the New Testament.  The second, is the reason we have one and not two New Testaments.  Without this guidance, the controversy would have led to a Jewish New Testament and a Gentile New Testament.

It is easy to point the finger at mega churches.  We can say they are muscle-bound with marketing and have little impact on America’s destruction.  However, many of my Spirit-filled brothers and sisters are also guilty of gross sins against the Holy Spirit.  (They may be even worse sins because they include jaw-dropping hypocrisy).  Here are some of their crimes:

They are guilty of dropping the God card.   When Charismatic leaders ban the gifts of the Spirit from operating and say God told them to do it—it is a sin against Jesus.  When leaders become territorial and refuse to work with other leaders to win souls in their city and blame God, they quench the Holy Spirit.

They drop the God card if they make intercessory prayer and the prophetic, open-ended excuses not to reach out.  How many spirit-filled gatherings make no appeal for souls to be saved?  Answer: Almost all of them.  How can this be God?

OUR FIRST LIVING PROOF TENT CRUSADE IN FRESNO, CA  OCTOBER 22, 2017

They turn weapons into toys:  2 Corinthians 10:3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”

Have you ever seen anything more cringe-worthy than a convention of grownups dressed in medieval and gothic costumes playing Dungeons and Dragons with Styrofoam swords?  Sadly, yes.

The top cringe is reserved for spirit-filled meetings where weapons—meant for strongholds of Satan—are squandered on bored saints lusting for yet another emotional experience.  Their shenanigans are blamed on the Holy Spirit.  Most are just self-centered believers binging on fantasy blessings.

I can’t shake the image of an army removing all the bullets, to play bang-bang in the barracks.   But what a crime to do it with gifts designed to clean out crack houses.

If you are famished for the true work of the Holy Spirt—if you are desperate for a national miracle—if you can let God X-ray your heart…the Holy Spirit is waiting for you.  Here is what you need to know.

You had to learn not to trust the Holy Spirit.  That statement is saturated with conviction and hope.  Tragically, church life often leads away from the Holy Spirit.  However, the hopeful part is, you learned not to trust which means all you must do is go back to the simple days when you were truly led of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is seeking people to use on a massive scale.  At this moment, Mario Murillo Ministries is struggling to respond to all the open doors.  We are watching the promise of widespread harvest fulfilled right before our eyes.   There are many openings right now for effective ministry.

The Holy Spirit seeks workers.   Matthew 9: 37 “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

The Holy Spirit is looking for workers—not self-promoted apostles, prophets, and ozone warriors.  Every leader wants this but doesn’t realize it:  you want workers—people who will do work and not posture about their spiritual rank.  We are teeming with people who want recognition but won’t lift a finger for the real work.

Jesus’ prayer revealed the harvest, targeted the harvest and prayed for workers to go to the harvest.   When you do not welcome the Holy Spirit’s passion for the lost—you do not welcome Him.

Houston revealed the Christ in Christians

You did not hear about all the Christians who risked their lives and in some cases devastated their own finances to help people in the flood in Texas.  You didn’t hear about it because it doesn’t fit the narrative.  The media wants you to have a warped view of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Why they do this is no mystery—Christianity is the last firewall against their agenda to totally remake America.

The media considers themselves the moral guardian of America.  That’s like hiring the weasel to guard the chicken coop.

The fixation of the media—and leftist Christians—this week was in shaming Joel Osteen for not opening his massive church soon enough to refugees of the flood.  Could he have opened it sooner? Probably.

But, do I believe that Lakewood Church was lacking in compassion?   Absolutely not.  Morphing an organizational misdemeanor into felony callous indifference is a stretch.  But, like I said, it’s all about the narrative.

My issue is not that he didn’t open his doors soon enough, but that he doesn’t open his Bible enough.  Just saying.

There is a need to dismiss all Christianity—except for a few suffering lot who take an oath of poverty—as big business.  Organized Christianity is a pariah?  Excuse me, not nearly as much as disorganized Christianity.  Free-basing faith, lone ranger prophets, and religious pundits with no accountability—who gargle gun powder and then shoot their mouths off—are the real threat.

It is easy to say that for one, bright shining moment, the Christians in Houston forgot their doctrinal differences, their competitive nature, and rose up in a glorious display of practical compassion. That too would be inaccurate, it wasn’t a shining moment—it’s the way we are.  That compassion was always there.  Heroes of faith were always there.  Harvey only brought out what was already in Houston.

Sure, Christians talk smack about each other, (and they shouldn’t) but don’t think it means we don’t love one another.  Heck, all families do that!   Unity exists to a greater degree than we know.  Believers who love and serve Jesus are more abundant than we know.

Now on to another critical issue: Prosperity.  Did you catch my reference earlier to leftist Christians?  It’s an oxymoron, but they exist.  John Pavlovitz in his blog entitled Dear Joel Osteen excoriated Joel.  That, was bad enough, what was worse is that he reinforced the tired image of Jesus the street preacher who lived in poverty—the hippie messiah who ate twigs and went around lovey dovey. Hold on…I have a reason for mentioning this—being a street preacher, I took it a little personal.

Yes, there is a perversion of prosperity in the American pulpit.  It is wrong for preachers, to beg for the widow’s mite while living in opulent splendor.  It is wrong to conflate money with righteousness.  The Bible is clear in condemning preachers who do this: “These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.” -1 Timothy 6:5

Never the less, Jesus was not poor.  Someone who can multiply food is not poor.  Someone who knows where the coins, in all the fish are, is not poor.  He not only owns the cattle on a thousand hills, He owns the hills, the planets—the galaxies.

God will help you pay your bills, provide for your children, and bless you, so you can bless others. That some take it to materialistic extremes, and add new age goobly gook, doesn’t invalidate true prosperity. Jesus said, “Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Prosperity is a key aspect of the Gospel. Let me illustrate: Once I met with a very famous evangelist who returned from the Philippines.  He told me, “we had massive crowds and I taught all I could from the Word of God but they were so poor I couldn’t teach about prosperity.”  So, I asked him, “were they also so sick, you couldn’t teach on healing?”

When I stand in the ghetto and preach amid hopeless addiction and grinding poverty, I tell them that Jesus will heal, deliver and provide a way out of their poverty.  Yes, it will take hard work…but God provides the miraculous will power, and hope.

Christians used boats, huge trucks and supplies that God blessed them with—that they obtained through the promises of God, giving, and hard work, to save people from the flood waters.

MARIO, WE ASKED YOU TO COME TO OUR CHURCH AND YOU SAID NO…WHY?

Yes, we have had to turn down invitations.  It’s time you knew why.  We live in an evil time with explosive changes.   We are assigned to the front line to see unprecedented miracles.   I am honored by invitations to come and minister.  We are prepared to help advance the Kingdom of God in any area…in your area, but we simply cannot be a part of business as usual.  I want to tell you the best way we can help you and the reasons we have had to turn down invitations.

We reach out to unchurched people–especially youth.  We offer proof of Christ’s power to heal, deliver and save.  We pray our event with you will lead to a general ongoing awakening in your area.

We can help when leaders are willing to do certain things.  Here is the list and the Bible verses that confirm them.

1. Invite other churches to be involved.  We do not require a certain number of churches to be involved but we consider it vital to open the meeting to as many as possible.  No true move of God has ever blessed just one church.  Luke 5: 6, 7 “And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. “

2. Invite community leaders to participate.  Leaders from business, education, law enforcement, politics and the media should be invited to participate.  People in these fields often have access to people and resources that ministers do not have.  They may also have just as great a burden for the city.  By asking for their help, you can greatly multiply your resources and impact.  Acts 16:14 “Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15 And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.”

3. Be willing to move the meeting from your church to a neutral auditorium.  We have no problem beginning a meeting in your sanctuary, but we need a willingness to move to a neutral site.  Whenever we do this, the level of power intensifies.   We have also learned that the unchurched are far more likely to attend if the meeting is in a neutral auditorium.  Acts 26:26 “For the king knows of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.”

4.Understand the difference between church growth and advancing the Kingdom of God.

A.Church growth:   One big reason we lost this generation is “Attraction” church models simply do not lead to moral awakening.   The pressure to get new people by surprising them every week with creative cutting-edge entertainment is never-ending.  There is simply no room for God to act.

B. Advancing the Kingdom of God:  If the servant of God cries out for their church to advance the Kingdom of God, many wonderful things start to happen.  They will grow in quantity and quality.   Not only this, they will touch the urgent needs of their community and strengthen other churches.

1 Corinthians 2: 4 “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

5. We want to demonstrate the supernatural with balance and integrity.  Groups that engage in out-of-Bible experiences do just as much harm as attraction churches. Bizarre behavior damages our cause.  An outpouring of the Holy Spirit will feature outbursts of joy and sorrow.  We dare not ban these life signs of revival.  What we’re against is behavior that distorts the Holy Spirit to outsiders.

1 Thessalonians 1: 5 “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.”

In some churches the excuses were creative for why they could not do these things.  Sadly, we had to walk away.

We were even willing to offer training and other resources.  NEVER FORGET:  WE HAVE NEVER REJECTED AN INVITATION BECAUSE A GROUP WAS UNABLE TO DO THESE THINGS BUT BECAUSE THEY WERE UNWILLING TO DO THEM.  The size of your church is not nearly as important as the depth of your commitment.   Some churches came up with creative excuses for why they could not do these things.  Sadly, we had to walk away.

If your heart is open to all that I have written then be assured—we are ready to work alongside you to reap a great harvest in your area.

We want to help wherever there is a pure hunger for a true intervention of God.  We would love nothing better than to be able to work with you to win souls, heal the sick, and to see revival.

Sincerely,

HE BEING DEAD YET SPEAKS

“Brother David, we need you now more than ever, we need you to wake up the American church!”  That was my cry when it hit me that today is the 6th anniversary of this prophet going to heaven.  He preached a message that we rarely hear today.  He preached it with a total disregard for his own success or safety.  He spoke the counsel of God with a convicting compassion…”God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.”  Hebrews 11:4

HE BEING DEAD YET SPEAKS

By Mario Murillo

When he aimed his voice at the corruptions in the church it was devastating.  Here is a sample from 1998: “The majority of churchgoers today soundly reject all prophetic warnings of a coming storm. Indeed, the American church today is the most blatant ‘feel good’ church in all of history. But, like Israel, we’re only experiencing the calm before the storm!

While Moses spent forty days on the mountaintop, Israel indulged in a spirit of lawlessness. The people wanted to play and relax, so they abandoned all godliness. You remember the result: It ended in a drunken, naked orgy around a golden calf.

Likewise today, Christians by the multiple thousands are casting off the yoke of Christ, tossing aside all limits and restrictions. This attitude is prevalent in many of the books and magazines you find in Christian bookstores. It’s almost as if our leaders are saying, ‘Relax! God isn’t hard. He’s our Daddy, we’re all his kids, and we’re meant to have a good time. Don’t let anyone disturb your fun!’”

Look carefully at what the man of God is saying—he is spotlighting a disaster.  What is that disaster?  We cannot accept warnings.  False pastors cash in on this carnal appetite for denial in the people.  Even good pastors are hostages of audiences that demand soothing sermons.

Prophets like David Wilkerson were labelled Gloom and Doom. What we don’t get is…it is those who keep lying and refuse to warn the church who are the real gloom and doom. Gloom and doom is when someone deliberately leaves you unprotected and unprepared.  This warning came before 911, before Barack Obama–before gay marriage was legalized–before our standing in the world became so dangerous.  David was describing our condition in 1998—we have degenerated dramatically since then…how chilling is that?

David explains why he was so adamant: “Yet, let me ask you: Why does God tell his prophets to shout their warnings from the housetops? He wants to warn his people – to stir us up to seek him! He wants to convict us of all our attempts to cast off Christ’s yoke and cozy up to the world. He wants us to keep our eyes on Jesus – to seek heavenly things – because those are the only things that will stand in the coming storm!”

Tragically, Christians all over America disregard any crisis that does not directly impact them.  And even after all of the storms that have come, we still do not repent!  As I write you the storm brother David predicted is unfolding. Journalism is dead.  Fake news is standard issue.  Campuses are silencing conservatives and soon will silence Christians. Persecution is here.

Many were relieved when Donald Trump became president. Now a hurricane of hatred being leveled at him and his family—he is subjected to a media assault that prior generations could not have imagined.

Did last Sunday’s soupy sermon get you ready to stand and fight?  The idea that the seeker model will survive the next wave of persecution is laughable at best.

However, preparation was a  key element of David Wilkerson’s preaching. He was sent to warn the wicked and remind the righteous of God’s power to keep us in adversity. Consider: “The purging will not seem joyous, but rather grievous. But you will soon glorify the Lord for the results in your life. All the anxiety will be gone. All worldly ambition will die. Your spiritual eyes will be opened to truth. The Spirit will give you revelation knowledge. You will exchange the riches of this world for the true riches of Christ Jesus. You will wake up each morning with an over-flowing joy. Your soul will cry out “I found what my soul has been longing for. Rest–beautiful rest in my Lord.” You can then say with David, the Psalmist — “In his presence is there is fullness of joy; at his right hand there are pleasures forevermore…” (Ps.16:11).

David Wilkerson’s words are more relevant and powerful now than ever.   He could comfort with as much power as he could correct. Here are the last words he ever wrote:

“That is when Satan’s hordes come to attack your mind with fear, anger, overwhelming questions: “Where is your God now? You prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on promises. You trusted.”

Blasphemous thoughts will be injected into your mind: “Prayer failed. Faith failed. Don’t quit on God—just do not trust him anymore. It doesn’t pay!”

Even questioning God’s existence will be injected into your mind. These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic attacks.

To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights—and in that darkness, you will soon hear the Father whisper, ‘I am with you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident. It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in your hour of pain.’

Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail—his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.” Amen.

AN INCONVENIENT FIRE

Bad news for the lukewarm church, fake preachers, and left-wing God haters.  In this moment of depravity and despair a single shaft of light has pierced the darkness and started an inconvenient fire.

AN INCONVENIENT FIRE

By Mario Murillo

What is this fire doing?  It is spreading an insatiable hunger to know God—just God.  A growing number of believers want to know God Himself—they want just Him.  They are not thinking about anything He can do for them.  They must know Him—more than oxygen, food and water—they must have God!

This fire awakens an ancient hunger—the hunger that possessed saints of old.  A.W. Tozer said, “Come near to the holy men and women of the past and you will soon feel the heat of their desire after God. They mourned for Him, they prayed and wrestled and sought for Him day and night, in season and out, and when they had found Him the finding was all the sweeter for the long seeking.”

And those who already know Him want to know Him better.  Tozer continues: “Moses used the fact that he knew God as an argument for knowing Him better. “Now, therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight”; and from there he rose to make the daring request, “I beseech thee, show me thy glory.” God was frankly pleased by this display of ardor, and the next day called Moses into the mount, and there in solemn procession made all His glory pass before him.”

But why would this be the worst nightmare to masked Antifa thugs, tepid seeker churches or false ministers?   Isn’t this fire pulling saints off the front lines into a full-time pursuit of God?   How can this be a threat?  It is the greatest threat!   NOTHING TERRIFIES SATAN MORE THAN A WIDESPREAD HUNGER TO KNOW GOD:

-It puts them into the place and condition that Jesus has yearned for His church.  They are in God’s presence devoid of ideas, agendas, or blueprints.   Their intercession is no longer contaminated.  Prayer is no longer a booster rocket for pet projects.  They are self-emptying to see God in His beauty.

God has triumphed over their dead works.  By doing this He kills the source of their anxiety, cares and inadequacy.   David Wilkerson said, “I had more ideas than any preacher in America. Ideas on how to evangelize. How to organize New Testament programs. The programs and ideas were successful enough to entrap me and keep me on the treadmill of busy-ness.

But all along my heart yearned for more. I knew the blessing was not in building. Not in some well-planned scheme to reach the lost. Not in bigness, and not in activity. I discovered the hard way, that the glory of God, the peace and joy of the Spirit, was in being stripped down, emptied, and made totally weak.”

-They are suddenly alive the real horror—their own flesh.  The issue is no longer the depravity of the culture but their personal carnality.  This inconvenient fire struck Isaiah with such agony he tossed his prayer for influence and power aside.  All he can cry is; “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”-Isaiah 6:5.   Isaiah is unmade to be remade.

In the towering glory, you see the indescribable.   You see how victorious God is.  How inevitable is His victory!  You see Satan’s utter defeat.  You are transfixed by the wisdom available—the resources at Gods’ disposal—the tactics He can use.  His mighty plan makes our plans microscopically puny.

God will declare to you what He said to Isaiah: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah”- 55: 8,9.

-Here’s what makes this fire so inconvenient:  It was simply not in the plan.

-It was not in the plan for the lukewarm convenient church to level off and be overruled by inconvenient fire.  Attraction based churches fold when God Himself becomes the attraction.

-It was not in the plan for fake ministers to ever stop lying, prospering, or fooling the masses.  The light and heat of this fire will expose and topple them.

-It was not in the plan for left-wing God haters to see their plan to eradicate Christianity from America neutralized by inconvenient fire.

This spreading flame—and the powerful vessels it creates—was simply not in the plan.   So emerges a new vessel—a designed weapon.  An inconvenient person appears on the American stage.  They will own a passion you cannot stop—words you cannot gainsay—and miracles you cannot deny.
