Christians who hate Trump

They are the Christians who hate Trump.  Let’s call it for what it is: hate.  It is their hate—strange for professed Christians—that dulls their ability to see the inaccuracy of their comments and their myopic views.

One sanctimonious ranting Christian said, “there’s nothing Biblical about Trump.”  Actually, there’s nothing Biblical about that statement.  The prophet Daniel served Nebuchadnezzar.  Daniel recognized the role a pagan king played in God’s unfolding drama.  The church’s ability to work with Trump is totally Biblical.

Now I must clarify, lest I incur the wrath of Trump supporters.  I am not calling Trump a pagan king—I’m sure he much more moral than his enemies know—I am saying that if Daniel could work with Nebbie, how much more we can work with the Don.

I tried hard to figure out believers who hate Trump.  Our side won a long overdue and miraculous victory and they choose to aid and abet the other side.  Is it because their favorite “Christian” didn’t win and they are sour grapes?

And why didn’t these conservative Christians hold Reagan to the same standard?  They adored him even while Nancy was studying horoscopes in the White House.

They didn’t require any president to be a squeaky clean pastor until Trump.

Yeah his tweets can be a bit much.  And okay, president Trump is not as smooth as Reagan…but, maybe we don’t need smooth right now.

But there is something else that is really strange, (hypocritical is more like it) why didn’t these guardians of morality speak out against Obama?  T.D. Jakes even attacked Franklin Graham for questioning Obama’s Christian Faith.  Told him not to judge a brother.  Hold that thought as we explore another question…

How could you not question Obama’s Christianity?  Obama begged the question by dropping the Christian card whenever it suited him (something Trump never does).   Meanwhile, Barack fought for same sex marriage, late term abortion, and was the most Biblically hostile president in our history.

Click on this link to see the list of his acts of hostility toward Christians   https://wp.me/p1vrzp-3DQ

Back to Jakes.  So why do so many Christian leaders—who said it was wrong to judge Obama—judge Trump?

Trump is not a pastor.  He is a businessman who loves America.  As far as his faith?  I am not qualified to determine his spiritual depth since I’ve never had the chance to meet the man.

“He is like Hitler and the church is being fooled” said another comment.  Please remove your tinfoil hats and listen.  Hitler never had 98% of the media against him.  Trump has never called for a new constitution.  Hitler never tried to protect Israel.  I could go on and on.

Maybe if Trump had been the first president to address the march for life.  Maybe if he had chosen an on fire born-again vice president.  Maybe if he has rescinded executive orders that banned federal funds from Christian organizations.  Maybe if he overruled the Johnson Amendment that banned the free speech of pastors.  Maybe if he had moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem.  Maybe if he had put someone on the Supreme Court who helped Christian bakers practice freedom of religion.  Maybe then you would support him.  Oh wait…he did all that.

God has done a miracle and the enemy wants to make short work of the amazing breakthroughs we are witnessing by dividing the church.  Instead of being a religious outlier you should be thanking God, praying, supporting the president, and voting.

WHAT WASHINGTON WILL DO SIGNALS A REBIRTH OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

Many of the most pivotal moments in history were not appreciated at the time.  We are at such a moment and we do not even realize it.  Something is taking place that seems routine.  It is actually monumental—an earthquake is shifting the spirit in Washington.

WHAT WASHINGTON WILL DO SIGNALS A REBIRTH OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

By Mario Murillo

Billy Graham will lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda.  Mario, that is as it should be.  Billy Graham is a legendary American.  Of course he is, but are you forgetting what Washington is?
Barack Obama would never allow this tribute to Billy Graham.  Neither would Hillary Clinton—who ran on the progressive, anti-church platform of Obama.
Washington moved so far to the left under Obama that we are still weeding out the deep state sleeper cells in many government agencies—especially the FBI.  Under Obama, their hubris was as much against the church as it was Trump. (See this link to my blog on how Obama was the most biblically hostile president ever.)   https://wp.me/p1vrzp-3DQ
Did you know 9 presidents in a row welcomed Billy Graham to the White House?  Obama did not.
Obama made a token visit to Montreat N.C to visit Billy Graham.  But, when Graham endorsed Mitt Romney, Obama ordered the IRS to suspend the nonprofit status of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
The swamp people in D.C. are seething and boiling today.  Their dream of a Godless America has taken a massive hit.  A man of God will be honored in a highly visible way.  A spirit has been broken.  The unwritten code that Christian faith is not welcome in Washington has been shattered.

Where are the voices that stopped Manger scenes and insisted we have a holiday tree?  Where are the gas bags who screamed for separation of church and state, and sued every time they found an iota of faith expressed in a government setting?  Silenced and properly rebuked, they mutter in the crevices of Washington today.
Like everything else about Billy Graham’s life the timing of his death is divine.  He held out until some key things happened.  One of the most important was the election of Donald Trump.
Trump loved Billy Graham.  Our president is not a perfect man but he is under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and that influence grows because of the prayers of millions of believers.  Trump championed the cause of our faith in government.
Everything within me says this is just the beginning.  As Billy Graham lies in state, words of faith once banned, will be freely spoken—not only in by formal speakers but by the rank and file in restaurants, schools, and every hall of power.  The subject of the Gospel of Jesus Christ—Billy Graham’s passion—will be recounted by more in D.C. than if He was doing a crusade at the Washington Redskins football stadium.
The nation will stop and honor a man of God…but I believe, a rebirth of Christian faith in America will start.  Glory to God in the highest!

One million thanks

In a world instant gratification and video neurosis…this blog did something impossible…read what’s next!   In just 12 short months, one million people didn’t just view it…they read it!  When I began this blog 4 years ago, with the format that God told me to use, I could not see how it would succeed.  Now the total readership is in the millions.  A million thanks for making 2016 an explosive success.

By Mario Murillo

My nerves were frazzled the first time I sat down to write something called a blog.  I argued with God.  I could not see how it would succeed. I knew there would be a firestorm over the things I was compelled to say.  I was right about the firestorm.

Now millions have read the blog in virtually every nation of the world.  Every day we are amazed at the impact of this little blog.

Check out this excerpt from the first time we spoke out:

“The America we once knew has been taken away.  It happened overnight.   Because America has changed ministries must change the way that they relate to this new nation.

Government has become our national God.   This new God is waging an incremental war on the Constitution.  The New York Times just called the U.S. Constitution an evil document that we should give up on.

Obamacare targets freedom of worship.  It forces Christian Institutions to violate their religious convictions.  Cardinal Dolan the spiritual leader of the Archdiocese of New York calls it “an unwarranted, unprecedented radical intrusion.”

The White House met with Cardinal Dolan and several Bishops met with the White House to talk.   He said he was told to “shut up and accept the mandate.”

one-million

It is time for the people of God to speak out on the danger of gun control.

Mass shootings have become the excuse to take away our guns.    Obama wants absolute power.

Mahatma Gandhi the great pacifist said, “Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.”

Thomas Jefferson and James Madison believed that the greatest threat to liberty was not foreign invasion or domestic unrest but rather a standing army and a militarized police force that had no fear of inflicting tyranny upon the people.

If Government is our new God, Celebrities are our new pastors.

Ben Stein asked, “Where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God?  There are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.”

Hollywood is the most powerful propaganda machine in history and it has declared war on our faith.

Ministries must change how they relate to America.  1 Samuel 10: 6 Says, “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. 7 And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.

Here is what I believe the occasion demands:

The Holy Spirit is saying we can publicly oppose government tyranny while still maintaining a loving witness.  Acts 16: 37 But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.”  Paul had just led a jailor and several prisoners to Christ and now he turns around and exposes politicians who have broken the Roman Bill of Rights.

We must accept the fact that there is a new generation that has no Christian orientation. “And also all that generation was gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, who knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.” Judges 2:10

We must lay a new foundation of faith in America.  We must preach the central doctrines of our faith. The Bible needs to set fire to our sermons.”

The big question now is what does the church do now that Trump is president?  In new blogs I will open my heart to you about the radical steps the church must take to seize this greatest soul winning opportunity in our lifetime.  Once again we must change the way we relate to government.

I know we need fresh fire.  Prayer, repentance and waiting for new orders are the keys for the American church in 2017.

One thing is certain…success will not tame this blog.  It will continue to keep its edge.  It will continue to provoke, stretch and force minds to think and hearts to examine themselves.

I wrote about Max and Beth to defend Christian Trump supporters

I wrote about Max and Beth to defend Christian Trump supporters

By Mario Murillo

As I write you, 50,000 people have read the blog that mentioned Max Lucado and Beth Moore. Today I want to clear the air about why that happened.

For me to mention the name of a fellow minister is like getting a root canal.  I only do it when all other remedies have been exhausted.  We are family.  We are all on the same team.  Christian unity is a witness to a dying world.

So then why did I put out the blog?  I did it to defend Christians who are going to vote for Trump.

Whether Max and Beth intended it or not, their remarks had the effect—I am being delicate and kind here—of questioning Christians who support Trump.

Max openly wondered how any Evangelical could follow Donald.

Beth did the same to Christian men who support Trump.  She can’t support Trump because he “objectifies women” and she believes he assaulted women.  She can’t see how any Christian man who would support Trump.

But they are both doing something else that really hurts Christians who support Trump: They are being silent about Hillary Clinton.  They have said nothing against her.  More on this later.

Other celebrity Christian leaders are doing much worse.  They have thrown millions of sincere Jesus followers into Hillary’s basket of deplorables.

trump-rally-north-carolina-copy

So let’s talk about Christian Trump supporters.

1.  Many of them are positive thinkers and entrepreneurs. They resonate with Trump’s winners approach to life. These are the church members most likely to give big to a vision or help pay off the building.  They are not the critics and legalistic people that hinder you pastor.

2.  Most Christian Trump supporters are patriotic. They love America.  They believe that we live in the greatest country on earth.  They are angry our laws are being disregarded by secular progressives.  They are angry with pro athletes who disgrace our flag and national anthem.  They stand with cops, the military and first responders.

3.  The majority of Christian Trump supporters are all about common sense. They believe:

-Our trade deals with other nations make no sense.

-Political correctness is a silly idea that has morphed into a tedious tyranny.

-It makes no sense to judge Trump’s past bankruptcies while ignoring someone who will carry on Obama’s disastrous spending.

-It makes no sense to leave our borders unsecured and allow an influx of criminals.  They have committed of millions of crimes and have killed our children.

-It makes no sense to oppress the church with regulations that force Christians, Churches, and Christian employers to pay for contraceptives and abortions.

-It makes no sense to support a woman who will turn Christian witnessing into a hate crime.

-It makes no sense to reject Trump for statements he made 11 years ago when you have no proof he is not a changed man.  Bill Clinton is not a changed man.  We know from a recent statement by General Colin Powell that Bill Clinton is still committing adultery and Hillary still covers it up.

-It makes no sense to compare Donald’s tax forms to 33,000 emails that Clinton criminally erased—emails that pose a national security threat.

-It makes no sense to deny you are helping Hillary if you don’t vote—or if you vote for a third candidate.  It’s a two-person race.  Trump is the underdog.  He needs every vote he can get, and every vote he does not get, helps her.  You can numb your conscience all you want but facts are facts…if you don’t vote for him, you are helping Hillary.

– It makes no sense to talk about Trump but never talk about Clinton.

I respect both of these Christian leaders and I refuse to engage in a war of words.  Nevertheless, they need to know—innocently or deliberately—millions of sheep feel wounded and betrayed.  As I said before, what hurts them the most it is this: You speak against Trump but remain totally silent about Hillary Clinton.

hillaryabortion-1

-You say Trump is rude?  How rude is it to ignore repeated cries for help and send four Americans to their death in Benghazi?   How rude is it to lie—to the parents and family of the slain at their funeral—by blaming their death on a video.

-You reject Trump because you support women?  Hillary has never denied laughing at a 12-year-old girl who was raped.  She has never denied trying to bury the women her husband raped.  She has enriched her foundation with millions from nations that kill women and enslave them.   Hillary Clinton believes it is okay to kill a baby even after nine months of pregnancy.  Abortion is murder but what does killing your baby even if its head is crowning out of the womb do to that child let alone the mother?

WHY, WHY, WHY AREN’T YOU TALKING ABOUT HER?  The believer who supports Trump is horrified by your silence.   They see you tweeting and pontificating about Trump but you offer no answer for the undoing of the Constitution—the trashing of the Supreme Court—the threat to America that Obama and Hillary’s foreign policy has created. They want to know if celebrity Christians live in a bubble.  They wonder, “what is your solution to the national disaster?”  Are you that out of touch with reality?

4. Christian Trump supporters believe voting for him is a moral thing to do:

LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 18: Laura Ingraham visits Extra at The Grove on July 18, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Noel Vasquez/Getty Images for Extra)

Laura Ingraham says her support of Trump is an extension of her faith:

“The truth is that those of us who support Trump understand all too well the reality of the choice that faces us, and are doing the best we can to save this country.

On the other hand, not voting for Trump — and hoping that he loses — also represents a moral choice:

It means aligning yourself, at least temporarily, with left-wing nightmares Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and all the other radicals who want Trump to lose.

It means turning a deaf ear to your fellow Americans who can’t take four more years of decline, and who are desperate for new leadership.

It means allowing another four or eight years of flat-lining wages and growth, and high taxes on American businesses.

It means hardening your heart against people those who have spent 40 years trying to stop abortion.

It means doing nothing when The New York Times, and The Washington Post, and every other left-wing outlet mocks and ridicules the Trump supporters as racists and bigots.

It means cheering (silently or not) along with every smear and every snide comment that Hollywood and the media can use to attack Trump’s voters.

That’s the choice the NeverTrumpers have made — a decision to do nothing, to wash their hands of the election, of the Republican Party, of the country itself.

That may represent some people’s version of morality. But it’s not mine.”

5. Christian Trump supporters believe it is all about the Supreme Court:  Columnist Thomas Sowell hit the nail on the head when he said, “The issue is judges that stick to the law versus judges who ignore the law. That is a huge distinction. It is the difference between living in a self-governing democracy and living under tyrants on the bench.”

Through his or her appointments, the next president will determine whether the federal judiciary respects its proper, limited role in our self-governing democracy, or whether we continue to slide ever further toward judicial tyranny. There is no more important issue in this election.   We already know the kind of judges she will nominate.

FRANKLIN GRAHAM

Franklin Graham summed it all up: “A lot of people are slamming evangelicals for supposedly giving Donald J. Trump a pass. That’s simply not true. No one is giving him a pass. I’m certainly not, and I’ve not met an evangelical yet who condones his language or inexcusable behavior from over a decade ago. However, he has apologized to his wife, his family, and to the American people for this. He has taken full responsibility. This election isn’t about Donald Trump’s behavior from 11 years ago or Hillary Clinton’s recent missing emails, lies, and false statements. This election is about the Supreme Court and the justices that the next president will nominate. Evangelicals are going to have to decide which candidate they trust to nominate men and women to the court who will defend the constitution and support religious freedoms. My prayer is that Christians will not be deceived by the liberal media about what is at stake for future generations.”

TRUMP’S VISION FOR AMERICA

By Peggy Noonan

Trump believes that America should not intervene militarily in other country’s problems without being compensated for doing so. If America is going to risk the lives of our soldiers and incur the expense of going to war, then the nations we help must be willing to pay for our help. Using the Iraq War as an example, he cites the huge monetary expense to American taxpayers (over $1. 5 trillion, and possibly much more depending on what sources are used to determine the cost) in addition to the cost in human life. He suggests that Iraq should have been required to give us enough of their oil to pay for the expenses we incurred. He includes in those expenses the medical costs for our military and $5 million for each family that lost a loved one in the war and $2 million for each family of soldiers who received severe injuries.

Trump wants America to have a strong military again. He believes the single most important function of the federal government is national defense. He has said he wants to find the General Patton or General MacArthur who could lead our military buildup back to the strength it needs to be. While he hasn’t said it directly that I know of, Trump’s attitude about America and about winning tells me he’d most likely be quick to eliminate rules of engagement that handicap our military in battle. Clearly Trump is a “win at all costs” kind of guy, and I’m sure that would apply to our national defense and security, too.

peggy_noonan-copy

Trump wants a strong foreign policy and believes that it must include 7 core principles: A) American interests come first. Always. No apologies. 😎 Maximum firepower and military preparedness. C) Only go to war to win. D) Stay loyal to your friends and suspicious of your enemies. E) Keep the technological sword razor sharp. F) See the unseen Prepare for threats before they materialize. G) Respect and support our present and past warriors.

Trump believes that terrorists who are captured should be treated as military combatants, not as criminals like the Obama administration treats them.

Trump makes the point that China ‘s manipulation of their currency has given them unfair advantage in our trade dealings with them. He says we must tax their imports to offset their currency manipulation, which will cause American companies to be competitive again and drive manufacturing back to America and create jobs here. Although he sees China as the biggest offender, he believes that America should protect itself from all foreign efforts to take our jobs and manufacturing. For example, Ford is building a plant in Mexico and Trump suggests that every part or vehicle Ford makes in Mexico be taxed 35% if they want to bring it into the U.S., which would cause companies like Ford to no longer be competitive using their Mexican operations and move manufacturing back to the U. S. , once again creating jobs here.

Trump wants passage of NOPEC legislation (No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act – NOPEC – S. 394), which would allow the government to sue OPEC for violating antitrust laws. According to Trump, that would break up the cartel. He also wants to unleash our energy companies to drill domestically (sound like Sarah Palin’s drill baby, drill?) thereby increasing domestic production creating jobs and driving domestic costs of oil and gas down while reducing dependence on foreign oil.

Trump believes a secure border is critical for both security and prosperity in America . He wants to build a wall to stop illegals from entering and put controls on immigration. (And he says he’ll get Mexico to pay for the wall, which many have scoffed at, but given his business successes I wouldn’t put it past him.) He also wants to enforce our immigration laws and provide no path to citizenship for those who are here illegally.

Trump wants a radical change to the tax system to not only make it better for average Americans, but also to encourage businesses to stay here and foreign businesses to move here. The resulting influx of money to our nation would do wonders for our economy. He wants to make America the place to do business. He also wants to lower the death tax and the taxes on capital gains and dividends. This would put more than $1. 6 trillion back into the economy and help rebuild the 1. 5 million jobs we’ve lost to the current tax system. He also wants to charge companies who outsource jobs overseas a 20% tax, but for those willing to move jobs back to America they would not be taxed. And for citizens he has a tax plan that would allow Americans to keep more of what they earn and spark economic growth. He wants to change the personal income tax to: Up to $30,000 taxed at 1%. From $30,000 to $100,000 taxed at 5%. >From $100,000 to $1,000,000 taxed at 10%. $1,000,000 and above taxed at 15%.

Trump wants Obamacare repealed. He says it’s a “job-killing, health care-destroying monstrosity” that “can’t be reformed, salvaged, or fixed”. He believes in allowing real competition in the health insurance marketplace to allow competition to drive prices down. He also believes in tort reform to get rid of defensive medicine and lower costs.

Trump wants spending reforms in Washington, acknowledging that America spends far more than it receives in revenue. He has said he believes that if we don’t stop increasing the national debt once it hits $24 trillion it will be impossible to save this country.

Even though he says we need to cut spending, he does not want to harm those on Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security. He believes that the citizens have faithfully paid in to the system to have these services available and that the American government has an obligation to fulfill its end of the bargain and provide those benefits. Therefore, he wants to build the economy up so that we have the revenue to pay those costs without cutting the benefits to the recipients. He disagrees with Democrats who think raising taxes is the answer and says that when you do that you stifle the economy. On the other hand, when you lower taxes and create an environment to help businesses they will grow, hire more workers, and those new workers will be paying taxes that become more tax revenue for the government.

Trump also wants reform of the welfare state saying that America needs “a safety net, not a hammock. “ He believes in a welfare to work program that would help reduce the welfare rolls and encourage people to get back to work. And he wants a crackdown on entitlement fraud.

Trump believes climate change is a hoax.

Trump opposes Common Core.

Trump is pro-life, although he allows for an exception due to rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

Trump is pro 2nd Amendment rights.

Trump’s view on same-sex marriage is that marriage is between a man and a woman, but he also believes that this is a state’s rights issue, not a federal issue.

Trump supports the death penalty.

Trump believes that there is a lack of common sense, innovative thinking in Washington (Hmmm. . . looks like he believes in horse sense! ). He says it’s about seeing the unseen and that’s the kind of thinking we need to turn this country around. He tells a personal story to illustrate the point: “When I opened Trump National Golf Club at Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles , I was immediately told that I would need to build a new and costly ballroom. The current ballroom was gorgeous, but it only sat 200 people and we were losing business because people needed a larger space for their events. Building a new ballroom would take years to get approval and permits (since it’s on the Pacific Ocean ), and cost about $5 million. I took one look at the ballroom and saw immediately what needed to be done. The problem wasn’t the size of the room, it was the size of the chairs. They were huge, heavy, and unwieldy. We didn’t need a bigger ballroom, we needed smaller chairs! So I had them replaced with high-end, smaller chairs. I then had our people sell the old chairs and got more money for them than the cost of the new chairs. In the end, the ballroom went from seating 200 people to seating 320 people. Our visitors got the space they desired, and I spared everyone the hassle of years of construction and $5 million of expense. It’s amazing what you can accomplish with a little common sense. On top of his saving years of construction and $5 million in expenses, he also was able to keep the ballroom open for business during the time it would have been under remodeling, which allowed him to continue to make money on the space instead of losing that revenue during construction time.

Donald Trump’s entire life has been made up of success and winning. He’s been accused of bankruptcies, but that’s not true. He’s never filed personal bankruptcy. He’s bought companies and legally used bankruptcy laws to restructure their debt, just as businesses do all the time. But he’s never been bankrupt personally.

He’s a fighter that clearly loves America and would fight for our nation. Earlier I quoted Trump saying, “I love America . And when you love something, you protect it passionately – fiercely, even.”

Three voices say we are racing toward judgement

Three voices say we are racing toward judgement

This is way bigger than the presidential election

By Mario Murillo

Because of America’s decadence and ever-spreading rejection of God, along with the “unrelenting assault” on Christians and their beliefs, this nation “is in deep trouble and on the verge of total moral and spiritual collapse – unless God intervenes,” said Reverend Franklin Graham, son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham.

America has been weighed on the scales and found wanting. And the days of the Republic may be at an end.

This from Franklin Graham, who has a biblical warning for the United States, that Americans could share the fate of the Babylonian empire.

In a recent post on his Facebook page, the son of the legendary evangelist Billy Graham told the story of how the Babylonian king Belshazzar was shown the writing on the wall from God’s hand, telling him his reign was over because he did not honor God.

Graham concluded:

“What’s the writing on the wall for America? As a nation we are found lacking because of sin and disobedience to God’s Holy Word. We have not honored Him. If we don’t turn back to God, I fear that our end will be near.”

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, the bestselling author of “The Harbinger” and “The Mystery of the Shemitah,” said Graham is echoing some of the themes he has talked about for years.

“Sin leads to judgment,” said Cahn. “This law touches not only individuals, but nations and civilizations. To whom much is given, much is required. A nation that has been especially favored with God’s blessings and the revelation of the Word is much more accountable concerning judgment. This applies to America.”

Cahn claimed America was founded out of the pattern of ancient Israel.

“If America ever turns away from God and His ways, the blessings of God will be removed from the land and the judgments that came up on ancient Israel will come upon America,” he said. Cahn argues that is precisely what is happening with “continuing manifestations of judgment” appearing in our time.

“As I have always said, God is in charge of the timing, but as it is now, America is continuing decisively in its descent to judgment,” he concluded.

David Wilkerson:  “God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations.  He is destroying the secular foundations.  America once stood proud and tall, full of purpose and promise. Our entire society honored God, and the Bible was held up as the standard for our laws and judicial system. Even during my lifetime, school textbooks consisted of lessons and stories from the Bible. Jesus was acknowledged as the Son of God, the One who gives our country favor and untold blessings.

Yet, in our prosperity, we became like ancient Israel: proud and unthankful. And we’ve fallen a long way in a short time. God has been pushed out of our court systems, out of our schools, His name mocked and ridiculed.  Our society has totally lost its moral compass and as a result, the America that once stood tall is now crippled, like a bruised reed.  God is going to judge America for its violence, its crimes, its backsliding, its murdering of millions of babies, its flaunting of homosexuality and sadomasochism, its corruption, its drunkenness and drug abuse, its form of godliness without power, its Luke warmness toward Christ, its rampant divorce and adultery, its lewd pornography, its child molestations, its cheating, its robbing, its dirty movies, and its occult practices.”

For the first time in 48 years of preaching I truly feel the hand of God against our nation.  Something has left us…something that I always counted on.   Never before have I felt the ground beneath my feet shifting as God is dismantling our pride and our rebellion.

It may be possible that the church can still be blessed and unified without widespread persecution but I sincerely wonder if we have crossed the line.  No one who reads this should dare ignore the call to repent and violently seek mercy.

I may be possible that the church can still be blessed and unified without widespread persecution but I sincerely wonder if we have crossed the line.  No one who reads this should dare ignore the call to repent and violently seek mercy.
