ACTUALLY, THEY HATE TRUMP BECAUSE OF US.

Many Christians think people hate us because we support Trump. The fact is, they hate Trump because he supports Christians. American Christians chafe at the notion that they are hated by the left. The truth is if Trump went away they would still hate us. They are after us and Trump is in their way. That is what all the rage toward him is about.

More than ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome,’ what we have is ‘Christianity Derangement Syndrome,’ giving new meaning to the scripture, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). The lack of knowledge that is destroying our freedom is our ingratitude and lack of discernment of both what Trump suffers on our behalf and the firewall of protection he is providing the church.

The Democrats hated Christians long before Trump came along. Years ago, they were trying to get every preacher off the air. They made it their mission to ban prayer in public events, and even Friday night football. They are the ones who wanted the Ten Commandments taken down in every public park and building. They are the ones who banished Nativity displays at Christmas time.

They hate our stand on marriage and abortion. They hate our beliefs. They make no pretense about it. There is zero outreach to Christians by Democrats. They are not even trying to get our vote, and gave up trying years ago.

They have been tireless in their crusade to banish the influence of Christ on America. Long before Trump announced he would run for President, Obama was verbally belittling the Church. Then he openly went after ministries and Christian businesses that would not support abortion. In the last few months of his first term, he suspended Billy Graham’s nonprofit status. He weaponized the IRS to block conservative and Christian groups from getting non-profit status. All of this was before Trump.

The caption below is no joke. It’s the absolute truth.

Democrats have graduated to much darker tactics. They want preachers in jail. In Chicago they have threatened to bulldoze churches to the ground. In L.A., the mayor wants to cut off their water and power.  They are apologetically  trying to bully the Church, to silence us, and to shame Christianity. They are against every aspect of Christian influence in America. There is only one thing stopping them…can you guess what that is?

The Democrat Party has been been seized by atheism, and have even included it in their platform. If you can stomach watching their convention you can see that Democrat party leadership is now openly run by Trump hating Marxist/Socialists. That says it all.

The firestorm against Trump began in earnest when he took a stand for the Church. We are not doing him a favor by supporting him—we are doing ourselves a favor. We are not martyrs for Trump so much as he is a martyr for standing with us—specifically on abortion and freedom of Religion.

There is a website—which claims to be Christian—yet espouses the idiotic notion that Trump is using Christians. They are actively trying to get Christians not to vote for Trump. This is the proverbial case of ‘cutting off your nose to spite your face.’

My first question is this: In what sense is the Church being used by Trump? He had a great life before he ran for President. Why would he even want the job? There has been nothing but cheap shots and mindless hatred being thrown at him from day one. This hare-brained website is saying that Trump has derived some kind of huge benefit from Christians. Yet, 30 million of us didn’t even vote in the last election!

To listen to these ‘woke Christians,’ you’d suppose the American Church was some vast arsenal of unified power that has placed itself at Trump’s disposal. Even if Trump were searching for a reliable source of help, I am sorry, but the American Church is not it. We don’t get along with each other, let alone with him.

No, the Church did not rise to the occasion in 2016 and elect Trump. Millions were just sick of the destruction that had been wreaked on America for eight years by Obama, and the thought of Hillary was too awful to bear. But, to be fair, a percentage of them were Christians.

But, to see the Church as a tool that is being used for Trump’s ambition is ridiculous. We are not suffering in order to make him President. He is suffering and being used of God, to keep us free.

All of us who call ourselves Christians must vote for him. And, we are not doing that for him, we are doing it for ourselves, for America, and for our children’s future.

IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF TRUMP THAT THEY HATE US

Many Christians love to say that supporting Trump is ruining our witness in America, but it is not because of Trump that the Left hates us, it is because of us that they hate Trump.

They hate him because he supports Christians, and not the other way around.  Democrats hated Christians long before this. They have had a long-standing feud with the Church.

More than ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome,’ what we have is ‘Christianity Derangement Syndrome,’ giving new meaning to the scripture, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

The Democrats hated Christians long before Trump came along. Years ago, they were trying to get every preacher off the air. Democrats have been working for decades to bully the Church, to silence us, and to shame Christianity. They have been and currently are against every aspect of Christian influence in America.

The Democrat Party is anti-Christian. They have been seized by atheism, and have included it in their platform. The party leadership is now openly run by Marxist/Socialists. That says it all.

The firestorm against Trump began in earnest when he took a stand for the Church. I say this because we are not doing him a favor by supporting him—we are doing ourselves a favor. P.S. A Special message to all of our friends from Mario Murillo Ministries

Why do we offer you books? It is certainly not to blunt the impact of the message you just read. In fact, these books reinforce the message we are trying to spread. More on that in a moment.  So, why do we offer them to you?
When the pandemic closed our tent crusades, church meetings and rallies, the Holy Spirit commanded Mario to keep our staff on at full salary, and trust Him. He obeyed and God has provided. But another thing the Holy Spirit grants are wise ideas. And we needed one. That is when the War Chest Collection was born.
If you look at the page you will see no advertising. And there never will be. And if you get our newsletter you will see that we have stopped raising money for projects we can’t do right now. But even that was not good enough for us.
In this pandemic we needed something that was truly a win-win situation. We prayed for something that would help the people, and us, that was not a garish fund raiser.
Then, we remembered how John Wesley taught his young preachers to always bring books with them that would help the people. Why not then, at a time when people have time to read, offer them something that will empower them and at the same time keep us strong and ready to go as soon as the door reopens?
We are amazed at the impact of Vessels of Fire and Glory. That book is not just blessing people—it has started a movement! Critical Mass remains required reading in many Christian schools and has never stopped influencing people who pray for revival. Edgewise offers wisdom for living in the last days. Together they provide you with solid, hard-hitting and encouraging truth. Not a bad thing just now.
The War Chest Collection has handed the enemy a double defeat by empowering God’s people and keeping us strong and ready.
Thank you for listening and get your War Chest Collection today. Turn your summer read into equipping, encouragement, and fire! We are all going to come out of this mightier than ever!   -Mario Murillo Ministries

TIME TO GET OUT OF THE CARNAL MEGA CHURCHES

This morning the Holy Spirit gave me a chilling warning: “Now that a glimmer of hope has appeared that America may be reopening, carnal mega-churches will not only revert to their old ways—they will get worse.” This will make them one of the most dangerous places for you to be.

These mega-church pastors have not repented of their carnal gospel, and therefore their people have not repented of their carnal ways. The contaminated crowd will put pressure on pastors to continue where they left off, and once again demand, “Preach what I want to hear!”

Before you reject me for raising this issue and accuse me of attacking them, consider this: they are attacking us. They are attacking the Word of God. They are attacking revival and the counsel of God for this crisis. They are endangering America.

This is what you will soon see in these churches:

  • Evangelical and Spirit-filled pastors performing same-sex-marriage ceremonies.
  • Intensified focus on material wealth, entitlement, and grace-licenses for greater immorality.
  • Churches will become even more like nightclubs than they are now.
  • Open opposition to Donald Trump will include false charges of racism, because compromised pastors and their “woke” audience care more for those who come here illegally than for those who are killed by illegals.
  • They will send money to programs that either support or perform abortions.

What should you do?

Get out! Separate yourselves from these carnal mega-churches. Staying in them puts you in harm’s way for the next judgment God is about to bring, in order to cleanse our nation.

Get out of these false churches, because their ways will infect you and your children. Get out because you are helping to finance something that God hates. In God’s eyes, false houses of worship carry the same threat level as atheism, drug addiction, and radical Islam.

But the primary reason to get out is stated clearly in 2 Timothy 2: 20-21, “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

In the Body of Christ, which is the ‘great house’ Paul was referring to, there are both vessels of honor and dishonor. He is challenging you to think about what your calling and destiny mean to you. What does it mean to you to be anointed, strong in gifts of power, and to carry out great exploits for Christ?

Paul is plainly telling you, you can’t do that, unless you separate from them.  The words he uses are “separate yourself from these.” Who do you think “these” are? They are the dishonorable carnal and false vessels that give Christianity a bad rep—a version of our faith that is responsible, to a great degree, for our national disasters.

It’s as clear as it can be: either get away from the fleshy, flashy, and fake, or forget about having any power with God.

Now, get in! After you get out, you have to get in. You aren’t a lone ranger. You need to be in a church where the leader is pressing into God, seeking revival. Find a church with a godly leader who is neither your ‘theological teddy bear,’ nor your ‘pulpit impresario.’ Find a man or woman of God who is paying the price to worship in Spirit and in Truth—find a leader who is an equipper, not an enabler. Go where the fire is falling. Don’t pick a house that titillates you; find the one that the Lord assigns you to.

The nation is filled with houses of God that will be ground zero for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. True prophets like David Wilkerson foretold of twin events—a calamity that would shut down America in an instant, followed by a fresh wave—a reformation of the Holy Fire of God, leading to a massive harvest.

Hold on! Another Azusa St. or Jesus Movement-type of event is in store for the people who know their God, and for the houses that have stayed faithful to their Lord.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that America has filled up God’s cup of wrath. Though we have passed through one storm—it won’t be the last. If we don’t learn the lesson, and repent, the wrath of God will again come down upon wickedness, because He means to purify the church and save our nation from itself.

The carnal mega-church is reading the message that relief is just around the corner, all wrong. It may be that God is allowing them to reap the full and vile consequences that their deception has earned—so that they will never again make such monstrous choices.

As shocking as the judgement will be so shall be the protection and prosperity of the righteous. The contrast will be as great as light and dark.

Get out! Then, get in!

“(Peter was preaching, and) went on in this vein for a long time, urging them over and over, “Get out while you can; get out of this sick and stupid culture!” (Acts 2:40, The Message)

THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS

Pray with intense focus: Pray, knowing that God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. But what should we be seeking in prayer today? There are 3 things that have been burning in my heart to ask for. Here they are in the order in which I believe we need to pray for them.

1. The local church. Why would I mention this first? This current hysteria threatens to hit the local church hard. That is not good on more levels than you may realize. Satan wants to weaken churches in America for several important reasons.

Pray against the temptation to develop the habit of staying home from church after this is over.

Pray that believers will continue to financially support their church now, even if they are compelled to stay home.

Pray that state governments will not use this as an excuse to persecute the church.  Few things are more dangerous right now than the state drifting from justifiable health guidelines into police brutality. Only a fool doesn’t know about the growing outright hostility toward Christians in the Blue states. Their mouths are watering at the prospect of shutting down churches. They are looking for any excuse, and we must rebuke all demonic power and ask God to cause the fire of revival to fall on churches everywhere. The disruption of churches in America is from Satan. Pure and simple.

Worshiping together is a key to Christianity. Matthew 18:19-20, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Remember: We are the only movement in history where the founder attends every meeting.

If there is a chance for you to worship with others and you opt instead for worshiping alone or as the hippies among us love to say, “I will commune with nature.” You may find some blessing, but you will not receive the full measure that the power of agreement provides.

Hebrews 10: 25 urges us: “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day (of the Lord) approaching.” House meetings are being touted as a substitute for corporate worship. And this not a problem if the motives are pure. Often, however, these meetings are led by leaders who are engaging in self-promotion. They are doing it because they did not get the recognition they felt they deserved in a church setting.  This is a lot like socialism: it sounds good, but it has never worked because the true motives are wrong.

I believe that something good can come out of this. Maybe we will remember the joy and satisfaction of simple church…before we got all slick and professional.

We must also pray fervently for the persecuted church around the world.

2. That America will repent. Americans who pray today had better repent. Every mouth that prays today must begin by asking for forgiveness. Any kind of asking that comes before repentance will offend God’s holiness. We are a nation of great wickedness. We have thumbed our nose at God. We have murdered the innocents and destroyed marriage. We celebrate things that God abhors.

Daniel was not guilty of the sins of Israel and yet he repented for them. In Daniel 9:4-5, he wrote, “And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, Who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,  we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.”

The one thing we do not want to see is this: 2 Chronicles 28:22, “Now in the time of his distress King Ahaz became increasingly unfaithful to the Lord.”  If America smugly assumes she can ask and stay unfaithful to the Lord—or worse, become even more unfaithful—that would spell certain doom.

3. Pray that God will show mercy and curse this virus. Do not ask with pride, spouting your, “rights and privileges.” Humbly declare, “We are not deserving of a national miracle, but we humbly beg for Your mercy.” In this prayer, we must remember that all the nations of the world far less able to fight this pandemic.

I am a firm believer in miracles of healing and in the power of God to drive back disease. But I have never seen miracles break out when the voices calling upon God were charged with pride and entitlement.

Our Father and our God, have mercy on us this day as we turn from our wicked ways. We do not ask for comfort and ease, we ask for holy desires and the resolve to fight on in order to share the Gospel with the world. We forsake all those things that have become our idols. We condemn perverse and unnatural desires that have aroused Your anger against us. We pray in the name that is above all names—the Name of Jesus!

ENTITLEMENT AND ESCAPISM

Something is coming and the church is not ready. In recent days God has been trying to warn the American church about what is coming, but, what have we done with these warnings?

I heard one preacher exclaim, “Teaching that anything bad is coming, is defeatism.” He refused to give his children a defeatist world view. What he thinks is love is the ultimate abuse. His children will not be ready.

It’s not as if God hasn’t warned the American church that perilous times are coming. One choice instrument was David Wilkerson. Many listened to his predictions, but many others wrote him off as an angry prophet.

I dare you to reread his words, go back and watch his videos, they are still on YouTube. David will come across completely different to you now. Now that libraries are bringing in drag queens to read to children. Now that abortion is no longer just a ‘right,’ but a cause for celebration. Now that our halls of power are sewers of falsehood, betrayal, ambition, greed, and lust, and now that the very fabric of civilized society is unraveling.

I dare you to call him legalistic, now that you can see that exactly what he predicted is happening.  Now that you see churches have abandoned the Bible.  Now that every day you hear of one more minister condoning materialism and promoting a ‘cheap grace’ that covers lust. Disdaining holiness and denying the existence of Hell. Just as he predicted, there is an epidemic of preachers who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, and pornography.

Our young daughters have unwelcome transgender visitors in the girl’s restroom at school.  We are a nation of drug addicts. Tens of thousands die every year from opioids.

The bane of Modern Christianity can be summed up in just 2 words: Entitlement and Escapism.

Go back with me to a time before all this madness, and see when a sense of entitlement began to infect the church.

No one got saved in the early church because they were promised a lavish life. Each convert knew from the jump they would pay a price for following Jesus. They embraced Christ because something real happened to them. They knew—beyond knowing—that He was the Truth and the Life.  Knowing Him was infinitely worth the cost. All they wanted was Jesus.

It is ironic that we tend to feel sorry for them, when in fact they would pity us! Yes, they were persecuted, but God was real in them. Their clarity unlocked something most of us do not have: inexpressible peace and joy.

Entitlement rolled into church like a Trojan horse. Certain preachers, like all good marketers, considered true discipleship a hard sell, so they replaced it with perks, inducements and flattery. Church became one giant participation trophy. The unspoken boast was, “What have we to do with self-denial? What have we to prepare for?” We as American Christians became too good for suffering. That was for other people, in other nations.

What edge did believers in the first century have over us? A massive one. They could survive anything that they encountered, whereas many today will be taken out the moment something happens that their pastor said God would never let happen.

Since ancient Christians expected to suffer, suffering never threw them for a loop. It never dawned on them that they would escape trials and tribulations. Because of that, they had a singular power that we don’t: the power to glory and thrive in evil times.  Compare that with today’s Christian whose idea of spiritual warfare is claiming a parking space.

This is the person Jesus warned us about in Matthew 13:20, “But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.”

The shocking thing will not just be how many entitled believers will stumble, but how little it will take to make them stumble.

Now let’s talk about escapism. The world that vessels like Billy Graham, Oral Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Steve Hill, and yes, David Wilkerson warned us about is here. The world that your favorite pulpit babysitter promised would never come—came anyway.

We didn’t escape. We have already witnessed this mass tragedy. Life has taken a turn in these United States that many churchgoers never believed could or would happen. There has been a falling away: because so many were ignorant, so many were offended.

Even many of the Christians who remained faithful, express their escapist denial in many ways. Instead of searching the scriptures for truth, they delve even deeper into teachings that now look silly. They want more materialism; they want more entitlement; they plunge into more false teachings and false ways. They go heavier into emotionalism. Their escapism is expressed in a sanctimonious tone, and then they lie about their reasons for believing they will escape all suffering.  They say we must stay out of politics and not choose sides, even as it has become undeniable that we must take a stand. Instead, they bury their head in the sand and are oblivious as evil takes away our freedom and our children’s future.

Escapism is what gives them a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof. Denial is why they imitate New Age teachings and make prophecy into a kind of game. But David Wilkerson also saw something else: A fresh and mighty move of the Spirit. He saw Jesus pulling people aside to enter into a close relationship with Him, and to instill in them the power needed to save this nation.  He said, “God is revealing to all praying people that a glorious new work of the Spirit is about to break forth. God is going to shake everything that can be shaken. He will tear down the old political, backslidden, ecclesiastical system. He will disown the formal, super-church structure. He will chase out of His presence all those who are engaging in self-promoting ministries.”

Many will fall, but many will rise to levels of power and usefulness that are astounding. God not only knew the insanity of today was coming—He took steps to prepare a special relationship that would produce special powers in His Children.  You already know who you are.

God is taking you aside to give you nation-saving power and skills. All glory to His Name!

LUKEWARM CHRISTIAN

The winter of 1777–1778 was bitterly cold, and the success of American independence looked impossible.  Washington’s men were so poorly dressed that some of them froze to death. When he moved the troops, you could see trails of blood left in the snow from those who marched without shoes.

Contrary to the picture most people have of the Revolutionary War, Americans were split right down the middle about whether or not they should be fighting for their freedom from Britain. Many locals would not aid General Washington when he asked for their help, and he had to constantly beg the Continental Congress for money and supplies.

In one instance, some of Washington’s soldiers braved a blizzard and walked for miles to beg a farmer to sell them some of his crops, in order to prevent the army from starving. The farmer refused. He told them the British were willing to pay double what the American soldiers could offer.

I see no difference between those farmers and today’s lukewarm Christians.  I see no difference between today’s compromised preachers and those who would turn away freedom fighters in a snowstorm.

Lukewarm Christian singers and ‘influencers’ refuse to take stands against immorality and perversion because the world rewards them with accolades. “My, what a ‘woke’ Christian you are! You are so intelligent, tolerant, and inclusive.”

Lukewarm Christian, you have no idea the harm you are doing to America.

To be sure, the world rewards you for your silence and for your tacit acceptance of homosexuality. They will flatter you. BUT IT’S A TRAP.  How true were the words of Spurgeon when he said, “It is a very ill omen to hear a wicked world clap its hands and shout, “Well done” to the Christian man. He may begin to look to his character, and wonder whether he has not been doing wrong, when the unrighteous give him their approbation.” In plain words, Spurgeon is saying, “If the world likes you, there’s something wrong with you.”

Jesus said, “If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. Remember that I told you, “A servant is not greater than his master.” If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you…” (John 15:19-20a)

If they hated Jesus, how will they not also hate you? And what on earth are you doing, thinking it is good to be liked by everyone?

It took guts, vision and foresight to oppose English tyranny. Many of the early colonists were simply willing to be dominated in exchange for the comforts of their oppressors.  In the same way, because the world rewards preachers with temporary success, they will abandon their brothers who are risking everything to expose the growing tide of evil in America.

Thomas Paine addressed the folly of those Americans who opened their homes to British soldiers in hopes of rewards after a British victory. He reminded them that those who easily surrendered their homes would be the most dominated if England won.

And what do you suppose you’ll gain, oh lukewarm Christian, by being a friend to leftists? Your reward will be to have the most controlled home in the neighborhood.

This is no time to be silent! It is a time to rage against the dying of the Light! Each day that you remain silent is one day closer to a hellish world for your children and grandchildren.

The Left has not held back a single item in their agenda to remake America. They mean it when they say that our freedoms must be removed in order for their brave new world to be born.

The pathetic heresy sweeping America known as the ‘Daddy-God’ myth that drives your lukewarmness is nowhere to be found in the Word of God. The sad truth is that the Laodicean rebuke is more fitting for America’s modern materialistic church:

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.”

It all comes down to this: Jesus is trying to get back inside His church in America.  The next verse confirms it:   20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

America is not yet irretrievably lost, but it will not be won by the tepid crop of make-believers that shuttle in and out of our churches. The knock on the door is Jesus.  He wants to talk about your training, over dinner—your golden transformation from tepid faith to fire and glory. He means to make you into Satan’s worst nightmare.

Those shivering freedom fighters at Valley Forge had no idea that a miracle was coming in the Spring that would transform rag tag troops into immortals. Neither can you imagine the mighty army that the Holy Spirit is training, equipping, and empowering to transform America.  Will you join us?

IT ISN’T STOPPING OUR NATIONAL DISASTER

Why does the American Church think she is successful?  Her outward success hasn’t even tapped the brakes of our impending national disaster.  I wish I could say we had stopped the flood of filth and addiction.  I’d even be happy if I could say we had slowed the flood.  But no, as the flood rises, we take pride in how well we can keep people safe and dry in artificial arks of glass and stainless steel.  We celebrate things that are utterly irrelevant in the disaster that is even now at the door.

Across America, countless gleaming Christian campuses churn out activity at a dizzying pace.  Millions of dollars change hands to fuel methods that have zero impact on the enemy. The machine is manmade and utterly useless before the demonic principalities that are tearing our nation apart, limb from limb.

What right does this multi-faceted machine have to say it is effective?  What result can it point to as an example of victory over evil?

The ‘outward-success-machine’ that men have built is not of the Holy Spirit.  It runs on toxic fuel.  Every day we witness the toxicity evidenced in the tragedies of celebrity leaders who are crashing and burning. Why, you ask?  Because this fuel can neither feed the soul of a preacher, nor can it replenish their spirit.

Too many ministers are conditioned to drawing life and self-worth from the adulation of the crowd, instead of receiving fulfillment, power and peace from a life of prayer.  As a result, instead of living in the presence of Jesus and beholding His face, they have grown an unnatural heart that is capable of celebrating hollow successes that they should be ashamed of.

They are thrilled when thousands come to hear them, when they should be crying out in agony.  It is a destructive talent indeed to be able to gather thousands and leave them untouched by conviction.  Few, if any, ever repent under the influence of their ‘seeker friendly’ sermons—a repentance that could have been the budding of the first leaf toward a national awakening.

The devil doesn’t respect personality, human initiative, or feel-good sermons. He only respects the anointing.  He does not stop advancing in the face of concocted-Christianity.  But Satan is absolutely paralyzed before a word that issues forth in power and anointing directly from Jesus, Who is the Head of the Church—the devil only flees before a rhema word that is launched by a pure and anointed member of Jesus’ body on Earth, the Church.

Nothing fits our current condition better than the picture I am about to portray:

Jesus is seated on a donkey, the traditional manner in which the kings of Israel announced their reign.  He is on His way from the Mount of Olives toward Jerusalem.  A roar of adulation not heard since King David returned from a victorious battle shakes the great city. The masses are saying all the right things, “Hosanna! Save us now!  Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord!”  The roar is so great that the Jewish religious leaders implore Jesus to tone down the masses.  He tells them that if He did, the very rocks would cry out.

All of His disciples and core believers must have thought, “This is it.” They have been secretly hoping that Jesus is about to set up an earthly throne, conquer the Romans, and return Israel to its former glory. But strangely, even as the joy of the crowd is overwhelming, Jesus begins to weep.  He knows this is too little, too late.

Luke 19:41, “Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, 44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

The roar of our concerts; the glitz of our technology; the grandeur of our meeting places, our modernization of prayer, and even our New Age-like fascination with the gifts of the Holy Spirit is all a shallow grave.  It has the trappings of being of God, without the engine of God driving it.

By what authority do we claim that ‘church-incorporated’ has the power to save America?  Please enlighten me.  I am all ears.  Moreover, if my words offend you, but they don’t even move you to check your heart, doesn’t that alone bespeak our tragedy?

America will not be saved by shallow thrill seekers. Satan laughs at the antics that distract us in this hour as we stagger toward disaster. But is it also too little too late for us?

But wait…what is that I hear?  I hear a rumble—so faint at first.  YES!  It is the sound of a mighty God Who will not share HIS GLORY WITH ANY MAN!  He would save America His way!  He is at this moment rolling up His sleeves to intervene, and in a most embarrassing way—a way that will bring people we don’t like, who are doing things we didn’t expect, in the places we had written off…

I am addressing those who are, or who desire to be, honest vessels of God: Take heart, you who have been forgotten—you who have been run over by the tractors of Church-incorporated.  Our heavenly Father has not forgotten you, far from it!  He is right now preparing to grant power, fire and miracles! Hallelujah!

Mario has a new book! Listen to what Pastor John Kilpatrick, who led the Pensacola Revival, said about Mario’s  book:
“As I read the manuscript for Mario Murillo’s new book, Vessels of Fire and Glory, I said to myself, “Finally!” Mario has measured the church and the nation in this season and did not hold anything back. His honesty is like the sun rising inside a dark cave. This release is a paradox—it is sobering and refreshing; it is symptoms and the cure. I believe this revivalist has penned a treatise that should be in the hands of all who lead the work of God.”
