THE BEST THING TO DO NOW

By Mario Murillo

(Preached at Bethel Church Redding Sunday March 19th 6 PM service.)

I stand before you tonight on the heels of a great dealing of God—perhaps the greatest dealing of God besides my conversion.  God said, “Raise $1 Million—choose 10 cities—invest the money in those cities for a specific outreach and I will start a youth movement.”  The ten cities had to be places that are open wounds.

Our first city is Bakersfield CA.  March 31st and April 1,2 at the Harvey Auditorium.  25,000 cards have gone out in the public schools.  It’s been featured on 7 talk shows.  The prime time news casts have announced our outreach.

Bakersfield is a city under siege.  My friend Manuel Carrizalez—the powerful man of God who leads Stay Focused Ministries—has done 51 funerals for young people killed in shootings in the last 12 months.

This mandate led to a personal revelation that I am sharing here for the first time.   My soul surveyed the nation.  I took in the entire national crisis and prayed “What is the best thing to do now?”

There are many candidates for the title of best thing to do.

Unity is a great choice.  Healing the division in the Body of Christ is a great choice for best thing.  No matter where I go, people have an issue.  The Body is so entrenched in their own camps.

Wouldn’t it be a powerful thing if all of the camps in the Body of Christ would realize that their theology is incomplete and find common ground to pool strength and hit the nation with a tsunami of compassion?

Another great choice is anointed worship music.   Music gets in where sermons cannot.  Music is the only art form that bypasses the brain on its way to the heart.  We saw it with Andrae Crouch, Hosanna integrity, Hillsong, and the Bethel music that has gone global from this very room.

The right choice must be prayer.  How could anyone consider anything to be above the power of prayer and the urgency of prayer?

The fact that none of these is what I feel in my spirit is the best thing to do now.  So if none of these worthy candidates is the best…what is?

To find out we must first ask, “what does now look like?”  Now we have a divided and often lukewarm American church—a church that is long on experience and ignorant of scripture.

Now let’s look outside the church walls:  We have an entire generation raised without church.  Judges 2:10 says, “Judges 2:10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.”

That—thanks to our universities—is our current problem.  Our classrooms create easily offended, intolerant, fearful students.  They hate free speech if it disagrees with them.  They believe violence should be applied to silence an opposing viewpoint.  Their credo is now: With sticks and stones I’ll break your bones because your words have hurt me.”

They are the generation that can end America.  I call them generation fatal–generation fatal is here.

Liberalism run amok has unleashed a spirit of violence and lawlessness. I said in a recent blog:  “America is the only nation in history where those who control the money, the airwaves, the press, and the universities, fancy themselves an underground resistance.

We are supposed to believe ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Hollywood, every Ivy League school, plus the Democratic Party have been driven into underground revolutionary bunkers. We have come to a sad and inexplicable madness where the “Freedom Fighters” are fighting against, well, freedom.  The anti-fascists are the fascists.  In the name of liberation, they are taking dead aim at the Bill of Rights…not just some of it—but all of it.”

This is what now looks like.  Now is pandemic drug addiction.  Now is a crime wave that has reduced inner cities into killing fields.  Now is tyranny in the news media.  Now is duly elected president under siege.  I am not here to burst your blessing bubble but:

-If we refuse to see it because we think it betrays our view of the goodness of God, we can’t obey God for a solution.  We have lost our nation by default.

-If we let a cheapened view of grace—with excessive drinking and skimpy outfits—delude us into to thinking my Daddy wouldn’t let this be real.

-If we turn retreat into victory with spiritual self-entitlement…we are not only in sin but we will have to apologize the millions of oppressed Christians around the world.

So what is the best thing we can do now?  It is what I learned one night after having tried everything to reach a riot-torn intellectual bastion called Berkeley.

MARIO MURILLO PREACHING ON THE BERKELEY CAMPUS OCTOBER 4TH 2014

Having tried all of the aforementioned candidates for best thing to do I went on campus late one night.  God was trying to give me the answer but I wouldn’t listen.  I did not know that death awaited me.

It was a dark night on Sproul Plaza.  I approached a flower child, thinking this was easy pickings.  As I witnessed to him a 6 foot 5-inch behemoth grabbed me and proceeded to choke me.  Murder was in his eyes.  It was demonic.  Intellectual debate was useless against this monster.

Instantly I knew where I was wrong and what to do.  It was as I was having the life choked out of me that I discovered the truth that I am going to relate to you.  The power of God—out of mercy—gave me wisdom and boldness.

Somebody else took over my body—words, not of me tumbled from my lips.  I ordered him to take his hands off of me.  I ordered him to back off.  He did.  As he did, he stopped staring at me.  He gazed at something behind me.  It was way taller than him.  He looked startled.  I ran.

As I sprinted home a verse kept roaring in my soul: “not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord.”  The best thing that could ever happen—the best thing for me to do—was to allow the power of God to collide with the power of Satan in a public place.

Thus began our Saturday Nights of Miracles.  Miracles blasted U.C. Berkeley open.  Miracles sustained for 10 years and now I must tell you—by the numbers—the best thing to do now:

-The best thing to do now is to break the lie that the miracles that happen in Asia, Africa, and Latin America cannot happen here.  Just as He raises the dead in plain view and multiplies food and water there—it can happen here.  The best thing is to break the glass ceiling we have created for miracles in America.

-Living Proof is the name of our crusades because it will take miracles to the mainstream of American culture.

From every angle our best move now is to be totally grateful for every miracle God has done and be totally starved to see more and greater miracles and to see them where they matter.

Now let me show you from different angles the absolute proof that this is our best move now.

The greatest Christian intellectual who ever lived had just seen—while arguing on Mars Hill in Athens—the futility of debating intellectual culture.  On his trek from there to Corinth a conviction was emblazoned in his soul.  Notice what he said:

1 Corinthians 2: And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Miracles put a deep foundation in new converts: What I hope will hit you is this: Our best move now is to but a supernatural foundation in new converts—a foundation that cannot be destroyed by a professor, gang leader or a politician.

Miracles force anti-God government to back off:  Acts 4: 14 “And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. “

When the greatest mind the church ever produced concluded that nothing was to be compared to the miracles of Jesus when combating a perverse culture, it should settle it for us.

These are the miracles that will ignite unity:  Acts 3:11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.

New songs: Psalm 96: 1 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.

Prayer: Now I want you to get ready to pray.  Not just any prayer—but the prayer that Peter prayed that let loose a gusher of signs and wonders:  Acts 4: 29 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

Miracles are best for neutralizing persecution and the overreach of government.  When Peter left the council who ordered the church not to speak he knew what his best move was.  It is also our best move against the political correctness that has morphed into blatant tyranny.

Note that one thing he wanted was a special boldness.  His precise plea reads like this: Give me the special boldness that comes while you do signs and wonders.

This is the best thing we can do now.  It will crush the ramparts of Satanic power that are killing our country.

Finally, do you think I am being idealistic and naïve? Do you not see that the prime directive of Christ for those charged with spreading His Gospel was exactly what I say we need to do?  Jesus said, John 14: 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Let’s retrace our steps to a childlike hunger and desperation—only this time let it be with an irrefutable passion to let miracles–undeniable confirmed miracles flow in the mainstream of American culture.

An American Holocaust

We are in a holocaust—if ever there was one.   Christians cannot be neutral anymore…God will not allow it.   When you and I wake up on Wednesday November 9th America will have either been saved or destroyed.  My only chance—for the rest of my life—to speak out is between now and November 8th.

I must muster all my strength, communication abilities and influence to intervene against the most disastrous mistake Americans will ever make.

Some still believe this election is about politics.  It left that realm long ago. This is a battle between good and evil.  Each day I must point out the evil. I must do it without regard to readership, reputation or even personal safety.

Each day I will expose the evil. Today I want to target Christian complacency about abortion. Here is what God is saying to American Christians complacent about abortion:

Isaiah 1: 11 “I am sick of your sacrifices. Don’t bring me any more of them. I don’t want your fat rams; I don’t want to see the blood from your offerings. 12-13 Who wants your sacrifices when you have no sorrow for your sins? The incense you bring me is a stench in my nostrils. Your holy celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath, and your special days for fasting—even your most pious meetings—all are frauds! I want nothing more to do with them. 14 I hate them all; I can’t stand the sight of them. 15 From now on, when you pray with your hands stretched out to heaven, I won’t look or listen. Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are those of murderers; they are covered with the blood of your innocent victims.”

No nation can make murder a “right.” If the church cannot see that we are doomed.  Pastors have crossed a deadline. Believers have crossed a deadline.  We have become reminiscent of the German church who tacitly accepted Jews going into ovens.   Ministers in America have conditioned us in church to accept abortion as a disturbing but acceptable practice.

We disapprove but we are not outraged.  Natural outrage would have us convulsing in horror. Yet, many see no problem with voting to let it continue.

Here’s a way to see how far gone we are: I will be labeled an extremist for this blog! As Erika Andersen said, “If you want to play the “extremist” game, that’s fine. What’s more extreme? Believing every life is inherently valuable and deserves a chance from the very first heartbeat at 30 or so days in — or choosing to end the life of a viable baby in a procedure which, if you saw it on video, would probably make you say it’s not okay anymore?

Just as the Nazi ovens were kept out of sight, so Planned Parenthood hides their macabre procedures from us.  The raw brutality would sicken—and should sicken you.

I am convinced that something has happened in the heavenly realm.  God has declared enough is enough. Heaven is roaring divine sorrow and wrath!  We have crossed a deadline.  We are no longer excused.

If black lives truly mattered, abortion would be the first thing to go…in some cities black babies make up almost 80% of abortions.

Hillary is not just an abortion advocate–she is an abortion radical.   Open your eyes! A special rage has awakened in heaven.  American Christians are going to vote—yet again for this holocaust to continue.  I believe that if they do, God will instantly heap on their personal life the just reward of their wickedness.

David Wilkerson and Kenneth Hagin

David Wilkerson and Kenneth Hagin

By Mario Murillo

1 Corinthians 12: 4 “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.”

Am I one of a few that has equal love and respect for Kenneth Hagin and David Wilkerson?  I hope not!  Both were true men of God.  Both walked in deep prayer.  Both valued the Word of God.  Both had total love for God and compassion for humanity.  Both were prophets.  Both of them made mistakes.

I can already feel my audience choosing sides.  Some who love David’s passionate calls for repentance will attack dad Hagin for being “a prosperity and blessing preacher.”   Some who love Kenneth Hagin will say that David was always angry and negative.

If you love David’s ministry, then you know that he would fearlessly name names and attack false doctrine.  Sometimes—even a few of his most ardent admirers would secretly cringe at his rebukes of the Body of Christ.

If you loved dad Hagin’s ministry then you know that he was just the opposite.  The earth had to shake before he would name names.  Sometimes, his friends wished he would have defended himself but that was not his heart—he walked in love.  Don’t get me wrong…dad could deliver a rebuke when God said to.

Here is the bottom line:  Hagin taught faith and love.  His revelation taught the church to fight back and stand in victory with all of the authority that was provided at the Cross.   Yes, he rightly stated that we can be prospered—we should be prospered—in order to bless others.

Wilkerson was right to correct the church abandoning for her duty to love God with all of her might and to do reach out to all who groped in darkness.   But he also displayed tenderness toward lost souls and wounded Christians that was stunning to behold.  His compassion broke me and put me under the greatest conviction of my life.

Yes, he did often rebuke the church for compromise and spiritual adultery.  So if you are spiritually lazy you can say that David spanked the church and Kenneth taught prosperity.  Here’s the thing…we need the spanking and we need the money.  We need to be right and we need to establish God’s covenant in the earth.  Is that so hard to grasp?

Be careful not to reject either of these men…or you will offend God.  You cannot tell God not to use diverse voices the balance the church and push her to her duty and her destiny.

Stay tuned for Mario’s blog at 5 PM Today:   WHAT DO WE DO WITH DIRE PREDICTIONS?

A few words about the attack you are facing.

Depressed woman with head in hands

A few words about the attack you are under.

By Mario Murillo

These are the most vicious attacks I have ever heard of. And they are not just happening to weak Christians—they are happening to well-known leaders.    I get prayer requests.   They are the most gut-wrenching I have ever read. It would not surprise me if you are locked in the battle of your life.  The times we live in are terrible enough but this is an added attack.

The flood of reports of these attacks put me on red alert.  I dove into intercession—searched the Word of God—reviewed the darkest moments of my life.   I tried to excavate treasure from my own victories in Christ.

I asked the Holy Spirit for understanding.  Slowly, the evil purpose unfolded.  We are dealing with an evil snake in a sprint because his time is short.  The attacks seemed to fit into three categories that match the way serpents attack in the natural. Here are the 3 most blatant attacks right now.

1.The serpent’s bite. You feel poisoned and gradually losing control of your body and mind. Fearful images flood your mind. You reel under a cloud of confusion. You are exhausted. The least demand of your day can drain you. You may find yourself crying and unable to explain your emotions.  You are gripped with paralyzing feelings of dread and sense disaster is just around the corner.

2.The serpent’s squeeze. This attack came out of nowhere and changed your life in an instant. You feel like you are suffocating. You want to scream but your voice is trapped within you. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.

The goal of this attack is panic.  The enemy wants you to do something rash.  The devil wants you to abandon your place in God.  He wants to deceive you into allowing permanent damage.

3. The serpent’s claws: This attack tears people apart. For silly reasons, people take offense. Disagreements escalate and kill relationships. Marriages are breaking up over trivial matters.  Churches are splitting over stupid issues.  Children are turning on their parents without warning.  Lifelong friends turn into worst enemies bent on each other’s destruction.

cover art

Here are a few words about what you must do about these attacks.

The Holy Spirit kept saying, “Learn how to react to your attack.”  Jesus made it very clear to me that even though I cannot choose what attacks I will face—I can choose the result.

My victory was tied to my reaction.  I know that sounds simplistic but reaction is the key.  It kept coming over and over…react, react, and react. Then it turned into REACT, REACT, and REACT!  Finally, it was R.E.A.C.T.   An acronym for 5 life changing words: REMEMBER—ENFORCE—ABANDON—CONTINUE—TRAIN.   Take these steps to stop these vicious new attacks and launch an effective counterattack!

Remember!  You must remember the amazing victories of your past and how you won those battles.  You must remember how God delivered you in the past.   Psalm 20: 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Nehemiah 4:14 says “remember the awesomeness of God and fight…”

You must remember what God has prepared for your future. Romans 8:18 “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us.”   All you want to do now is to get relief from the raging storm.  Satan wants you to forget two things: your legacy and your destiny.

Enforce! Things are not what they seem.  Satan is the master of disguise.  Our enemy kills through special effects.  Bending reality is his stock and trade. The goal of his smoke and mirrors is to get you to accept disaster.  He cannot kill you—but he can use panic to get you to harm yourself.  Reject the panic and enforce the panic on him.

Abandon! In every attack there is something you must abandon, something that you are holding onto that is actually holding onto you.  You may want something bad to happen to someone else.  You may be clinging to a destructive relationship. Forgive your enemy; cut of the parasites, lighten your load so that you can attack with speed and clarity.  Someone or something is no longer supposed to be in your life. T.D. Jakes said, “Their part of the story is over, let them go.”

Continue! You are under attack because you did something that Satan wanted stopped.  Continue to do what he does not want you to do.   Your victory is tied to your intention to do more than you did before.  Look at Peter.  He was beaten for the healing of the man at the gate beautiful and ordered not to preach about Jesus.  What was his reaction? To pray for boldness to preach and for more miracles! Acts 4:29,30 Lord behold their threats and grant unto your servants that with all boldness we may preach Your word while You stretch out your hand to heal and let signs and wonders be done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

Train:  2 Corinthians 2: 11 “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  Paul is saying that what he learned from past attacks made him wiser against new attacks.  Learn from this and train for future attacks.  General Patton said, “no amount of courage will avail against an educated bullet. ” He was talking about the urgency of training.  We must become an educated bullet!  Ask yourself, what did I learn from the attack?  What pitfalls am I going to avoid next time?  What weakness in me does the enemy use to get in and disrupt my life? What will I do now to keep friendships strong, my body healthy, my children safe, my marriage loving and my money secure against future assaults?

Why American Pastors will not unify against Obama. Here’s what would happen if they did.

Why American Pastors will not unify against Obama.  Here’s what would happen if they did.

By Mario Murillo

Every day someone asks me “Mario, we hear your message warning America but what can we do?”   Here is something so doable—it is a vexation of epic proportions that we do not do it.  You deserve to know why we will not do it.

We have 400,000 ministers in America who—if they spoke out as one voice—could reverse our moral landslide almost overnight.  Think of that!  We could end the insanity of the White House before the weekend.

Every Sunday they speak to the largest voting bloc in America: 40+ Million.  They have a captive audience.  They could do it—without even being political—just by being Biblical.

Half a million pulpits thundering truth at the same time would be the death of the secular progressive agenda.  Waking up the sleeping giant and arming them with truth would cut off the air supply of the God-haters.

There is too much at stake for me to try to save reputation and avoid controversy.  Let me say it plainly: It is time for a non-violent revolution; a firewall against the onslaught of evil.  This is the only way this nation will be spared.

Satan has done a number on our Christian colleges, seminaries and denominations. The enemy has sent a neutralizing counterfeit in the seeker model.  He has used fear to paralyze prophetic preaching.  He has used false doctrine to deceive many into immorality.  He has used seduction to create widespread compromise.

No way will I be like Elijah did in the cave.    I don’t believe I am the only one left—there are thousands of true men and women of God in our nation who are faithfully preaching the word and opposing the godless agenda.    However, there are not nearly enough and time is running out.

It is a hair-pulling irony that the greatest threat America has ever face is also the most curable threat.  So why won’t they unify against Obama?  Here are the reasons listed in order of importance.

american-flag-tattered

Fear of losing non-profit status. In the 1950’s, Lyndon Johnson caused the church to make a deal with the devil. The deal is known as the 501C3 designation.  Frustrated by pastors who were telling their people not to vote for him, Johnson introduced legislation that silenced the church.  In exchange for IRS status, churches agreed not to endorse political candidates.  The church did not need this designation because they were already tax exempt in the Constitution.

It makes no sense to say you fear losing your status.  Unless we speak out, churches will be illegal.  What use will your nonprofit status be to you when you are an underground church?

Lifestyle: 50% of all preachers who were polled said that if there was another way for them to make money they would leave the ministry. That means that for many preachers the ministry is just a paycheck.

If speaking out against Obama will cost them tithers, if standing for marriage and the unborn will offend some, they will not risk losing their lifestyle.

Racism: In a spirit-filled church, during the memorial to the Gospel legend Andrae Crouch—who did more than anyone before him to cross racial lines with Gospel music—Stevie Wonder said, “The only reason that people have rejected Obama’s policies of inclusion is because he is black.”

Not only was this breathtakingly inappropriate—think about what he is saying:  If you disagree with Obama you are racist—and that statement, my friend, is truly racist.

Ignorance of Scripture: Preachers today do not know the Bible. Many no longer believe it is the inspired Word of God.  They say nothing about hell, The Cross, The Blood or the Second Coming of Christ.  They get their sermons from motivational speakers and secular music lyrics.  They do not pray and search the scriptures.  They search for buzz words.

christianity-453249_1280

They cannot protect the flock of God from atheists and secular humanists because they have no ammunition from the Word of God.

Ignorance of America and revival: Many do not value revival because they do not know how God worked in our history. They do not understand that past moral awakenings have rescued the United States from certain doom.  Ignorance of revival is why they do not see it is life and death.

Apathy: Two extremes create apathy; one is self-sufficiency and the other is total discouragement. When ministers have too much or too little, they say, “What is the use in trying anymore?” One has given up because they don’t need the drama. The other has given up because they believe it is hopeless.

Even though the causes are totally opposite, the result is the same:  A nation dies because leaders cannot muster the necessary outrage to take appropriate action.

Competition: Many preachers do not see their fellow ministers as brothers in arms. They see them as competition.  They see them as predators of their people.  Wanting the biggest church has blinded them to the fact that we are all in the same army; that we are on the same side.  Some preachers actually relish the idea that their competitor is losing members and suffering loss.

Make no mistake.  I am not anti-church and I am especially not anti-pastor.  I am loyal to my fellow preachers.  I am committed to the local church…but we must unify and speak out.

Millions of American Christians need marching orders not another breathy chat about how special they are.   If you really believed they were special you would equip them for special ops!

July envelope art

So here is the bottom line:  If the guilty parties refuse to repent of all of these excuses— it will cost us the nation.

Yes we can wipe out the insanity of the White House in no time if we would stand together.  If we do not, we will be remembered as the worst preachers in American History.

Proof Verses:

“But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, ‘Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.’”- Acts 5:19, 20.

“A muddied spring or a polluted well— that’s what a righteous person is who compromises with the wicked.”  Proverbs 25:26

“That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”  John 17:21

“Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.”  2 Corinthians 3: 12

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19,20

HE IS AT WAR WITH US

He is at war with us.

By Mario Murillo

The American pastor Saeed Abedini–held hostage by Iran was set to fly to freedom but they had to wait for another plane to arrive from America first.  That plane was most certainly carrying $400 million in cash sent from Obama to Iran.  There is also great reason to believe that money will end up in the hands of those who would destroy Israel and America.

In an interview about his release Saeed Abedini was asked, “Were they effectively waiting for the money to come in before they then let you take off?” He answered, “Yeah. They didn’t talk about money. They just told us about the — they told me about the plane. … So, the reason that they said you’re here in the airport is — was just because we are waiting for another plane.”

The Wall Street Journal says “But U.S. officials also acknowledge that Iranian negotiators on the prisoner exchange said they wanted the cash to show they had gained something tangible.

How can this be happening without criminal charges?  Because the White House has rigged the system. Obama is at war with us.  Hillary will continue his war on us.

However, this article is not about Obama. He is mentioned in it.  He is accused in it—he is the villain of it—but it is not about him.  This article is about you and me.  It is about facing the most horrible fact—we have had to face—since the Civil War.

The man who occupies the White House is at war with us.  He is not at war against ISIS.  He is not at war against black poverty.  He is not at war against unemployment.  He is not at war against anything that threatens you.  He is at war with you.

The man who has the most power over Americans is actively working to destroy Americans.  That is a bitter pill to swallow—but swallow it we must.

But how do I convince you that he is at war against us?  I struggled with this for a long time. Then I found an analogy that explains Obama’s destructive style.  He acts like a man that has murdered his wife and is trying to cover it up.

The husband is always the first suspect—no matter what.  Detectives use a different set of eyes than you and I.  The adoring faithful husband is defended by family, friends and neighbors.  He has the perfect alibi.  He has no history of violence.

However, the police will not rule him out if he begins to act strangely.  Say, he shows little sense of loss.  He talks more about himself than he does his dead wife.  If she is missing, he seems to be going through the motions of trying to find her.

Obama’s reaction to the mass murder in Paris is a perfect example.  It is the same, tired, brain-numbing non response to terror.  He is sorry, but not really.  He keeps up the appearance of a caring husband who—having done away with his wife—feigns sorrow.   He has done this after every terror attack.

Obama-Paris-Shooting-1-620x400

Sherlock Holmes said, “How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?”   When you eliminate the impossible about Obama here is what is left: He is motivated by hate.  He hates America.  He hates Christianity.  He hates Israel.

All of his policies carry this one universal criterion: How much it will damage the people I hate.  Use that formula and all of the lights will suddenly go on.  He blocks energy independence, a secure border, a jobs program or anything else that would better our lives.

His foreign, environmental, economic, immigration, and educational, policies fail by design—not incompetence.  He ruined our healthcare; enflames racial division; foments student unrest, and endangers the lives of police officers by design.

He bullies Israel but gives billions to her mortal enemies.

Here is what is really chilling: Even after it was proven that the killers in Paris were Syrian refugees, he will still force us to take in 100,000 Syrian refugees. Is he actually working toward terrorism here at home?

His zeal to end America Israel and Christianity is so great—I seriously believe he would wreak havoc—declare martial law, stay in office beyond his current term—to finish the job.

If you are a true Christian and you want to stop Obama…then stop doing these things:

1.Stop denying that he is at war against you and your children’s future. Face it! How can you do what Christ wants you to do against this evil if you will not admit the evil?

We cannot stop Obama unless we face the fact that he is at war with us. All God-fearing, freedom-loving people must unify against him.  The unity and resolve required to stop him can come only after we face the ugly truth.

2. Quit saying all we need to do is pray.   No one ever prayed like Jesus.  No one ever understood prayer Like Jesus.  No one valued prayer like Jesus.  And yet, He did not just pray.  He went forth in the power of the Spirit.  He rebuked the king—He turned over the tables of the money changers and He verbally blistered the Pharisees.  He did not just pray—He acted on His prayers.

Well,of course we need to pray. I intercede daily.  But to say that all we should do is pray is a cop out.  If you believe that the sole response to Obama should be prayer then you are doing a disservice—not only to America—but to prayer.   Prayer always ends in acts of obedience.

In Acts 4:29 Peter prayed “Lord look on their threats and grant to your servants that with all boldness we may speak Your Word.”  Try this the next time you pray—Ask for boldness and guidance.  Ask to know your place in stopping the war on Israel, Christianity and everything that made America great.  After you pray…you have to take a stand.

slander3. Stop supporting Christian compromise. Why your pastor refuses to preach against the crimes of Obama is not the question—why you still attend that church is the question.

(Special note: I do not believe that the Sunday pulpit should be a constant flow of tirades against Obama.  It should be well-placed and relevant to the instruction of the people.  It should be done to inform believers about why we believe what we believe so they can answer the persecution of the culture.   What I am saying is that it is odd if you do not know where your pastor stands on these issues.)

Your time, talent and money should not be going to the compromised church.  Shift your support. Begin to strengthen the arm of those who are risking all to oppose this tyrant.

4. Stop abusing love. It is not hateful to oppose Obama—it is love. To be silent in face of hatred is hatred itself.  When we remain silent we do not practice love; we hate God’s Word; we hate holiness; we hate truth; we hate sacrifice and courage.

Stop worrying about what millennials think.  Stop worrying about our public persona.  When the truth comes out a grateful generation will thank us for intervening against destruction.

5. Quit saying “I am not going to do anything because it won’t make any difference.” Revivals can be traced to a single person. Do not say that great movements cannot begin with small groups in unpromising circumstances.  Indeed, that is exactly how all great movements have been born.

You have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.  You cannot waste one more moment in fear or self-pity.  God can take your simple prayer and willingness and add His amazing power and wisdom to your endeavors.

What if God has been waiting a hundred years for you to come along—discard fear and doubt—take up the sword of the Lord—and plunge it into the heart of darkness?

DELIVER US FROM EVIL

 Deliver us from evil

Deliver us from evil.

By Mario Murillo

They never gave it a thought. Something like this is unimaginable here.  Their loved ones are safe on the Umpqua Community College campus.  I understand this.  I’ve been to Roseburg.  I have preached on that campus.  It is beautiful and serene…then evil came calling.

How does evil feel?  It begins as a surreal feeling.  Unimaginable horror grips your body. You feel like you can’t breathe—because you can’t.  A set of facts crash against your heart that is impossible to absorb.

Evil is senseless, cruel and personal. It seeks the precious life…the thing most loved. When it hits, it crushes you under an avalanche of emotion.

Consider how it unfolded in Roseburg:

CNN)[Breaking news update 11:38 p.m. ET]

The gunman who opened fire at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College targeted Christians specifically, according to the father of a wounded student.

Before going into spinal surgery, Anastasia Boylan told her father and brother the gunman entered her classroom firing. The professor in the classroom was shot point blank. Others were hit, she told her family.

Everyone in the classroom dropped to the ground.

The gunman, while reloading his handgun, ordered the students to stand up if they were Christians, Boylan told her family.

“And they would stand up and he said, ‘Good, because you’re a Christian, you’re going to see God in just about one second,'” Boylan’s father, Stacy, told CNN, relaying her account.

“And then he shot and killed them.”

ROSEBURG CANDLELIGHT VIGIL

When a mass shooting horrifies the nation…voices scream at us from the ramparts of their preconceived notions and ideologies. They have to blame the gun, the environment, the parents, the drugs, the internet—anything to escape the one fact too terrible to consider.

We keep saying America needs to have a conversation about guns, race, sexual orientation, economics, foreign policy or global warming.  We need to talk about EVIL.

Nothing has damaged America more than our refusal to accept the existence of evil.  Denial of evil, poisons our perspective on everything.  We can’t use common sense.  We can’t stop violence.  We can’t stand against tyrants.  We can’t identify perversion.  We can’t find natural outrage about selling baby body parts.

Obama says, in reaction to this campus atrocity: “the places in America that have the least gun restrictions are the places with the most killings.”

I have to tell you that there is evil in that remark.  He is from Chicago.  Chicago has had 6,000 shootings and 1,600 murders in 4 years.  Chicago also has the most gun laws in the world.

Evil must—at all costs—be denied.  For example: the College only had one security guard—he was unarmed.  Even after this massacre, the college officials say they will not allow armed security.

Obama before the U.N. a few days ago: “We must remember that terrorism has come from all religions.  We must not single out any one religion.”  My question is simple: Is that still true when 99.9% of all terrorism is done in the name of Islam?

The biggest reason they reject the idea of evil is because acknowledging evil is a bridge to the supernatural.  When you admit evil…you are near to admitting the evil one.  A line in the movie The Usual Suspects:  “the greatest thing the devil ever did was to convince the world that he does not exist.”

The supernatural element of evil is why a true atheist cannot believe in evil.  They also cannot believe in good.  They love to claim they are rational but their view is irrational. They filter out any evidence that contradicts their narrative.

I was not surprised that the shooter was an atheist or that he targeted Christians.  When you remove God, evil automatically fills the vacuum.  If God doesn’t exist then why hate Christians any more than those who believe in the tooth fairy?   Why would you want to kill them?  Someone inside you wants to kill them–that’s why.

The consequence of removing God is an influx of evil.  One of the most painful parts of Jesus’ teaching is that if you are not serving God, you are serving evil: “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” -Matthew 6:24. It may be passive or active but the fact is that you advance evil automatically when you refuse to serve God.

Why are we in a time when anything goes?  G. K. Chesterton explained: “When a man stops believing in God he doesn’t then believe in nothing, he believes anything.”  We stopped believing in God.  Now we believe a lot of things. We began to destroy decency.Benjamin Net

We believe that terrorists are misguided victims.  We believe that only guns kill people.  We believe that you can deny nature and DNA and self-identify.  We believe that global warming (based on biased science) is a greater threat than ISIS which is based on beheadings.  We believe that no one is really trying to hurt us so we leave our borders open.  We believe that Black Lives Matter except when it comes to abortion where black lives make up 20% of all abortions.

Satan hates Israel.  That fact was driven home in the well of the United Nations when Benjamin Netanyahu told the world that no one has stood with Israel.  For 45 seconds Netanyahu stood speechless and the entire body remained silent.

The more that America slumps toward Gomorrah, the more the world sinks into anarchy.  Why would we continue to reject God when the consequences are hitting us like a Mack Truck?    The answer is evil.   How can we pray—Deliver us from Evil—the one prayer that can save us…if we continue to  deny that evil exists?
