Like the happy ending of your favorite black and white movie, something amazing has happened at the last moment. I have been trying to find the right words to tell you about this.
The emotional roller coaster my wife I have been trapped on for almost ten weeks has ended. But that is not the miracle I am about to relate to you.
7 weeks ago, I was tortured by the fear of never walking again. When that nightmare passed we rejoiced with joy unspeakable. That is still not the miracle I am going to share.
Until 4 days ago, I faced the certainty of a surgical procedure that would go through my abdomen (leavening an 8-inch horizontal scar) to get to my lower spine and fuse vertebrae together. As you know the surgeon took a fresh look at X-rays and overruled a previous diagnosis—no surgery. Again that is not the miracle subject of this post.
God has done so many impossible things. However, one great impossibility remained. To aid you in appreciating the impossibility I must bring up the word momentum.
Momentum is the key to our outreaches. We are firmly committed to groundwork. We are very different than many ministries, for one very urgent reason: we strive to have non-Christians in our meetings. We refuse to set up our tent and have every seat filled with saints. We must have lost souls. We must have addicts, gang members, the homeless, and runaways in our meetings.
To do that requires a minimum amount of advance work. We have to work the ground, train volunteers, set a mass of people to prayer. This is why Living Proof Las Vegas became impossible. It was over.
I told my wife and staff that even if I received a miracle of healing and was cleared from surgery it was simply too late for Las Vegas. I kept that in my heart until the very last minute. Even after I walked out of the neurosurgeon’s office, I still knew it was too late for Las Vegas.
Then something happened that has never happened before in the 50 years of this ministry: God said, “check again and you will see that the momentum has been miraculously protected.” I really did not understand what that meant…until I checked.
Impossibly, over 50 leaders are locked in to have lunch with me this next Saturday in Las Vegas. Impossibly, our teams, and volunteers have stayed prepared and believe they can saturate the at-risk neighborhoods with thousands of invitation cards and posters in just 72 hours. Impossibly, the crew that handles everything from delivering our tent and chairs, lights, sound and a myriad of other items has remained on standby even though they could have been committed to other projects.
When I examined the momentum, I discovered how right God was. This is a miracle unlike any we have ever seen. The core of our army is a living expression of 2 Chronicles 29: 36 which says, “36 And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, that God had prepared the people: for the thing was done suddenly.” Suddenly, everything we had worked for so hard for in Las Vegas has been restored. Rejoice with me!
Now however, I must make a strong appeal to you.
-First I am asking you to think about how angry Satan was about our going to Las Vegas. I want you to absorb the reason why this attack was so vicious. The enemy knows something devastating is going to happen to his stronghold. He knows God would break chains, evict devils, and release prisoners on a grand scale.
-Next, help me get pastors and leaders to our luncheon this Saturday at noon. If you live anywhere near Las Vegas and you are a pastor or leader, please join me and Mechelle for a free luncheon. Or, if are not in Las Vegas and you know pastors and leaders in the area, please encourage them to be at this luncheon. The location is Grapevine Fellowship 800 North Bruce Street Las Vegas NV 89101. Finally, get involved! Begin praying fervently for this historic outreach to Las Vegas. If you live anywhere near Las Vegas come to the tent. Bring those who need Jesus, who need healing, who need to be set free.
The hand of God is heavy on this outreach. Anyone who gets involved will see miracles and obtain great favor from God. Any church that gets involved will be sowing the seeds of revival within their own congregation. Beloved this is it…something has been miraculously restored.
