THREE BIG REASONS MIRACLES WILL NOW APPEAR IN MAINSTREAM AMERICA

MIRACLES WILL NOW APPEAR IN MAINSTREAM AMERICA

By Mario Murillo

Dear Reader,

Doctors will be amazed. Churches will be revolutionized. We will see the dead raised and the miraculous multiplication of food. Millions will experience wonder. But it is not all good news.

Here are the three reasons that miracles are coming that I was given by the Holy Spirit.

1.It is time because the Bible has been rejected. Outpourings of the Holy Spirit and clusters of miracles occur like weather patterns. Jesus said, “When it is evening you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’;  and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.  -Matthew 16:2,3.

The Bible which was a guiding force throughout our history has been set aside as a myth.  It has never been like this before.  Never have we seen such a wholesale rejection of the Word of God like this.  Psalm 119:126 says, “It is time for You to act oh God for they have nullified Your Word.”  We are now a nation without a Bible.   It is been evicted from our halls of government, schools, and even church.  It is time for God to act…and He will.insert one

America is now the foreign mission field.  The Holy Spirit will now work to confirm the Word with signs following. The miracles, healings, and supernatural signs have been a regular part of outreach in Africa, Asia and Latin America will now appear in America.  Resurrections, multiplication of food, angelic visitations

2.It is time because judgment must begin at house of God. When these miracles come it will not be an endorsement of the current church. In fact, I believe that God is displeased with the overwhelming majority of what we call church in America.

These signs and wonders will bring judgment.  They will divide churches.  They will expose sin.  They will even bring death.  Remember, Ananias and Sapphira were killed by the Holy Spirit not simply for stealing money, but for doing it in a time of miracles.

The double lives of carnal pastors will come to light.   The sickly grace message that has believers sleeping around and getting drunk will be plowed under by the true fire of God.  Evangelists who operate in false gifts by the power of familiar spirits will be exposed as fakes in front of their audiences.

Judgment indeed will begin at the house of God but it will not end there.  Look for public officials, celebrities and anti-God voices to be suddenly removed.

3.It is time because America is on the brink of destruction.  Mideast Israel ElectionThe White House is demonstrating breathtaking stupidity by betraying Israel.  Israel, to its eternal credit, rejected the stupidity of the White House and placed its fate into the hands of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jesus.

There is no doubt that America has crossed a deadline.  The White House is guilty of the most blatant animosity toward the things of God that we have seen in American history.

The executive branch of our government is literally shaking its fist at God and daring Him to intervene.  If God does not act now there will be no America.  But there will be a World War Three.

There is radical, remnant core who have not bowed their knee to Baal.  There is a growing army who have discarded dead religion, repented of a prayless life and will obey the voice of God.  They are the rightful heirs of a new anointing that will shatter the darkness.  They will flow in true gifts of power and speak only the counsel of God!

I believe that these miracles, signs and wonders will be upon us within a few weeks.  But never forget that this is sobering news…God is giving America one more chance.

I need you to own this opportunity to save our nation

I need you to own this opportunity to save our nation

By Mario Murillo

If there was an opportunity to restore America and leave one nation under God  for our children and our grandchildren would you take that opportunity?

But how can we imagine any opportunity while we watch the nation go up in flames?  We are engulfed in lawlessness, racial hatred, and decadence. Images of rioting and looting cover the nation.  Instead of turning to God in our disaster our citizens casts Him away.  Our elected officials squander precious time obsessed by things that do not matter.

How can we imagine any opportunity while Christian leaders are throwing their hands up saying that it is impossible to rescue America?  Some even employ Bible prophecy to insist that America must be destroyed so we can have an antichrist, one world government, and hence the Second Coming of Christ.

Blinded and choked by the smoke of chaos outside the church and by defeatism inside the church how can anyone see any opportunity?

But what if there was a glimmer of hope?  What if in all the twisted rubble there was a chance to make a real difference?   What if there was something we could do?

At this point, I am not even asking you to imagine a solution for America.  I am asking “if there was a real opportunity, would you take it?”

Not long ago I returned from a ministry trip.  I opened my front door, and dropped my luggage.  I became keenly aware that I had just done something for the very last time in my life.

There was something that I could never do again and I will never do it again…to do it again will at best shorten my life and at worse, it will take my like.  Never again could I be a part of a regular church meeting.

In that moment, everything I had ever done for Christ was being lumped into one seed and was about to be put in the ground to die. From that point on, Mario Murillo Ministries had to become an unimpaired vessel of healing to the nation.  Whatever personal sacrifice that it would require and whatever rejection it might bring became irrelevant.

Los Banos 3

Now I had to let God expose these false assumptions:

America cannot be saved.  Joel 2: 13, 14 say, “So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him?”

The words “Who knows” jumped out at me!  Since God relents from doing harm who are you and who am I to say America is finished?  Who knows but God?

When the disciples wanted destruction Jesus rebuked them.  Luke 9: 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.”

Habakkuk “3:2 shows us how to pray; “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”  We should be trying for mercy not destruction!

suicide

Americans are too sophisticated to sit and hear the Gospel.  Yes, this is the most complicated and easily offended culture ever.  It is virtually impossible to even know what to say to them.  However, we have no excuse because Jesus Himself promised in Luke 21: 15 “I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.”

James 1:5 promises us we can ask for that wisdom, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

I asked and I received wisdom!  That is part of the great opportunity that I want you to own.

Mario Murillo Ministries cannot stay where it has been.  It is time for us to make radical changes because the crisis demands it and God has ordered it.

When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity.  Here is our danger and our opportunity.

Our danger: Mario Murillo Ministries is in danger of losing its life if we remain where we are at this time.  America is too far gone for regular meetings in regular places.  We are too far gone to have any more regular meetings in regular places.  What is killing us is threefold:

  1. Limiting our outreaches to church buildings. This has never been a good way for a soul winning ministry to change a nation. To continue to do this will only break my spirit and ultimately take my life.  For my family’s sake I refuse to do this anymore. The only time that I feel healthy is when I walk out of a meeting where the masses have been saved and healed.
  2. Interrupting our invasions at key moments because we have to go back to churches for needed offerings. To make a meaningful dent into this present darkness we must have an uninterrupted flow of supernatural outreach.  In short, our ministry must turn into a movement and the only way to do that is to let momentum build in city after city.
  3. We have not had a chance to show what our team can really do. We want unchurched audiences to experience our event done our way. We must be the creative force behind every moment of a Living Proof Event.

The public should not be forced to choose between Christian events that are either frozen or freaky.  There is no rule that says a soul winning event should be a boring, powerless, apology tour that blunts the gifts of the Spirit.  On the other hand, there is no excuse for a hyper emotional meltdown that blesses self-indulgent believers but leaves outsiders rolling their eyes.

living proof flag

Why can’t we have order and freedom? In describing manifestations of the Holy Spirit Paul said “Let all things be done decently and in order.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40.

Likewise, we believe that worship music does not have to be a carnal concert or mindless repetition.  Let music be anointed to touch the hearts of outsiders.

We are finally in a position to be able to present to the unchurched public a very unique kind of experience in our meetings.  It has taken years to get here but God has done it!

We need a onetime infusion of money that will release us to finally and fully present Living Proof to America. I am asking for $100,000.  It is not a random amount it is a prayerfully discerned amount.  It represents a gift that will take us to the level where we can attack without interruption and present the Gospel without restriction.

This is not a lot of money in today’s world.  In many organizations this would not make a dent but with this gift we can launch a full scale attack.

Mario Murillo Ministries is in a life and death situation.  We have already shut down business as usual.  We are going to change our ministry even before the money gets here. We cannot wait until it is affordable to win America, we are going now.

If just 200 people responded to this letter we can meet our goal.  I have prayed for people to be moved to give a onetime gift in these 5 amounts:  $5,000, $2500, $1,000, $500, and $250.

I am so certain that those core of partners are about to change our ministry forever that I am planning a commemorative wall of honor to inscribe the names of those who gave at this critical moment in our history.  You can put your name or the name of someone you love on a wall that will always be remembered as the heroes who carried us into our future.

Let me say one last thing to you.

Every day something good about America is erased.  It is going to take more than cozy talks to reverse our moral avalanche.  The sickness of our nation calls for something unlike anything we have seen so far.

We cannot keep doing what we are doing…that is the inescapable truth.  When it comes to Satan in America, the Church must quit taking a dull knife to a gun fight.

Here is an important point: Any ministry that operates without the weapons of the Holy Spirit is just spinning its wheels.  Nothing can stand against the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Would you please consider giving a thousand dollars?  Maybe you are that one person who would give a $5,000 gift because God restored your finances and blessed you abundantly.  Maybe $250 is a big step of faith for you but is one that you want to take.

We are calling gifts of $5,000, $1,000, $500, or $250 FOUNDER’S GIFTS because they are laying the foundation for our greatest outreaches ever. We will inscribe their name or the name of a loved one on our Wall of Remembrance and Honor. But remember, no matter what you give it will take us toward our goal of $100,000.

Maybe you meant to give more to the Gospel this year but did not get around to it.  By clicking below you will be directed to our donation page and if you give by this Thursday it can be credited to your 2014 income taxes.

Available Today: Fear Killing Intimacy with God.

By Mario Murillo

Revelation 13:17 says, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Preaching on the Mark of the Beast was like science fiction.  We were moved by the dramatic preachers in the same way we were moved by disaster films.  It was exciting and provocative, but not real.   All of a sudden it is real…very real.

Hobby Lobby and a host of other Christian companies are being sued for not accepting what I see as an early version of the mark of the beast… The fines that the government is trying to levy against them are in the millions of dollars.  Reports of Christian businesses being targeted by hate groups in concert with local governments are widespread.

When Jesus said, “Matthew 24: “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.”

Again, this is an alien concept to the generation that grew in the era what America was a Christian nation.  Now the persecution of believers has spiked worldwide as be headings and mass murder is common.  Here at home it is not yet violent but Political Correctness is morphing into mandatory correctness where we must comply or face criminal charges.

Is our money going to be no good?  Are we in the early stages of an atheistic/Islamic inquisition?  Will we leave our children and grandchildren in an unspeakable world, without us, unprepared and helpless? These questions can paralyze until you do what I am going to ask you to do.

call

In Psalms 73: 16 “When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me—
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God…”
Come with me into the sanctuary of God and let’s see the end times through the lens of God!

  1. The Holy Spirit wants to guard your heart and emotions with special last day’s power. I am not talking about escaping crisis but triumphing over fear. A work can be done in you that will neutralize the fear of what is going on around you.

Psalm 91: 5 “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

Note: it did not say the terror would stop walking at night; it said you would not be afraid of it! Do wait for things to get better let  God  work in you  to make crisis lose its power to terrorize you.

Be who you are supposed to be. I am not being trite. Intimacy with Christ reveals identity.  When you know who you are you also know you are here on purpose and not some cruel accident. As soon as it is totally real that you are an ambassador of God in a dark time you will see that your safety, provision and wisdom all comes the one who commissioned you.  Your safety, well being becomes His responsibility.

  1. Do what you are supposed to do. It is easy to feel that you are not brave enough, smart enough or strong enough for the evils of tomorrow. However, that is not how you will face tomorrow!  A new you will face a new threat.  You will defeat by your sense of mission.  Depression and fear always retreat in the face of fresh vision and a clear sense of purpose.  “I am on a mission for God” are powerful words.
  2. You are a catalyst not a victim! You are here to change things not to be changed by things.  The moment you become aggressive about your life and not passive you will reduce fear.  You need to stand and declare right now:

THE END TIMES ARE NOT HAPPENING TO ME, I AM HAPPENING TO THE END TIMES!

THE BIGGEST LIE SATAN IS TELLING AMERICAN CHRISTIANS TODAY.

the biggest lie copy

THE BIGGEST LIE SATAN IS TELLING AMERICAN CHRISTIANS TODAY.

There is one great lie.  It is a lie so massive so eloquent, so all encompassing that it explains almost every false doctrine, every discouragement and every compromise of believers in America.  This lie is so insidious and so deep beneath the surface that its victim may not even know how it influences their decisions, beliefs and actions.

Satan is a better liar today than he has ever been and he is focusing his lies and deception on the United States. He has put a demonic arrogance on our government. That is why I am using this letter to tell you something urgent.  Satan has saved his very best lie for God’s remnant. Remember that Jesus said “to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”  Satan is plying a special lie on the elect of God!  Satan is even imitating the voice of the Holy Spirit to tell this lie!  Lucifer is doing this because this remnant is the final firewall stopping his complete takeover of  America.

Just before he went to heaven Kenneth Hagin received this prophetic word that hints at this great lie: “The end of the age is coming upon this generation. The powers of darkness, the forces of evil are rampant as never before and they will be increased in intensity and velocity. And even many Christians will see and look upon these things and say “Oh, there is no use”; throw up their hands in futility and say “Well, I guess it’s all over. We’ll just have to hold on and pray for Jesus to come shortly because the Devil is about to take over everything.” But thus saith the Lord, “In this day, I am searching the body of Christ to enlist soldiers. I’ll raise up a new band. I’ll raise up a new army who will know how to pray against the powers of darkness. And the light will dispel the darkness and the truth will set men free and prayer will break the bonds that bind men’s minds and spirits and bodies. (Halleluiah, glory to God).”

In a nutshell, here is the deceiving message from the devil to the righteous core:  “The best days of the Church are behind you.  God must judge America to allow the return of Christ. God cannot do it again because He does not want to. The bottom line of this lie is the times are too hard, the task is too great and we are too small.”

This lie carries emotions of inferiority, telling us we are not as favored as past generations! He can even turn our history against us so that miracles of bygone days that should inspire instead task us and make us feel inferior.

This avalanche of despair has caused well known preachers to cave into secular ideals on marriage, hell, and even drugs.  When you hear voices diluting Grace, holiness, the value of Scripture and America…understand that  fear and futility are behind it.

Men and women of God have felt this inferiority before!  Psalm 44: 1-3 says,  “We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old: 2 You drove out the nations with Your hand, But them You planted; You afflicted the peoples, and cast them out. 3 For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them; But it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, Because You favored them.”  “We just don’t have Your favor like they did.”

He wants your prayers to feel futile.  He wants your efforts to feel like vanity.   He even wants to make you feel like a fool because you have not thrown in with the compromised and counterfeit Christians.  You have been tempted to say like David, “Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, And washed my hands in innocence. For all day long I have been plagued, And chastened every morning.” –Psalm 73:13,14.

The Prophet Habakkuk had to overcome this very weakness.  He was crushed by the darkness of his time and the glory of the olden days.  Habakkuk 3:2 O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”

Not only can Satan use past history against us, he also uses recent history.  Americans look back at Azusa Street, The Charismatic Revival, The Jesus Movement and say, “America had her chance and she blew it!”

Peter had the courage to ask for a new miracle even though they had just had a historic miracle.  Acts 4:29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

These verses contain the greatest hope of this letter because when God fell after Peter prayed we learned something urgent: The day of Pentecost was important because Pentecost proved the Holy Spirit would fall.  This prayer in Acts 4 proved something even more important: IT PROVED THAT GOD CAN DO IT AGAIN!   In short, Satan wants you to believe that we cannot have America back as one nation under God!

Bro Hagin’s prophecy contained this promise: “The Spirit of God is saying, “Just ahead in the realm of the Spirit there are some great and glorious and marvelous things. In fact, all of those adjectives do not nearly describe, they do not even begin, that’s just the tip of what is to take place, but what cannot take place without you as an individual taking your place in the arena and the realm of prayer. And without a good part of the body of believers, all will not necessarily do it but there must be many that will be faithful, some will not be faithful, but without a good part of the body of believers taking their part and place in prayer for you see at this time God has great things, marvelous things, wonderful things, things that will happen in the spirit realm that will manifest in the seen realm, things beyond the comprehension of most.”

In his hour, our revival prayer must be mingled with two rock solid convictions:

1. We must pray with utter desperation admitting that without revival we are finished and God must do it again.

2.  We must renounce the lie and pray with violent confidence that rebukes this lie and boldly confesses that God will do it again!

A NEW WEAPON

After nearly 50 years of preaching I have concluded that there are three skills every believer must have.  I have come to believe that we can turn America around if we fill the churches with believers who possess these 3 skills.   That is how we forged this new weapon…a weapon that took nearly half a century to create.

It is called The Warriors Workshop…a workshop I will teach myself.  Be careful not to stumble over the simplicity of these 3 skills.  I have spent a lifetime narrowing them down.

At the Warriors Worship you will be trained  to own 3 skills:

  1. How to convert someone to Christ.

  2. How to heal the sick.

  3. How to live in victory.

I warned you about their simplicity…but they are anything but simple.  Their power reminds me of something Winston Churchill once said, “He who enjoys it wields a power more durable than a great king.  He is an independent force in the world.  Abandoned by his party, betrayed by his friends, stripped of his offices, whoever can command this power is still formidable.”

UNDER THE GLARE: COMPROMISING BEFORE THE MEDIA AND THE CULTURE.

under

By Mario Murillo

Thomas Jefferson said, “in matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.”

America has changed so fast that many believers wonder if they should change with the times.  Indeed, some of our most famous Pastors have stunned the faithful by saying that they now endorse gay marriage and openly state that the Bible is wrong about hell.

There is a phrase that echoes in my spirit, “either it is always true or it was never true.”  Truth has a stubborn way of staying the same.  Righteousness is timeless.  It does not flex, bend, or twist in the wind of modern thought.  Likewise, love is unchangeable:  full of mercy but it cannot rejoice in a lie.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be stripped of any part of its message if it is to impart eternal life. The central place of signs and wonders wrought by the Holy Spirit also does not change.  Jesus irrevocably welded miracles to the preaching of the Gospel when He said, “these signs will follow those who believe.”

preachin

Either it was always true or it was never true. Here are examples of the timeless advice of the Bible for preachers today.

1. Integrity in the media:  Proverbs 25: 26 Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked.   This warns Pastors who suddenly lose their moral compass under the hot lights of a talk show studio. You must quote the Bible and be quick to answer questions about the Cross, hell, sin, marriage and repentance.  America needs to hear the truth… you can be poison instead of healing if you betray  your calling!

2. Changing because of the success of compromise.  It is easy for a preacher to envy the wealth and prestige of secular celebrities and media pastors who have built empires in the name of God.  Psalm 73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped. 3 For I was envious of the boastful, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.”

3. When you leave out truth from your sermon you are dooming the younger generation:  When the Psalmist realized how he was slipping because of envy he also saw that he could take down a generation with him.  Psalm 73:15 If I had said, “I will speak thus, “Behold, I would have been untrue to the generation of Your children.

4. Don’t make any decision until you see the Glory of God in prayer where you will get a true perspective.  Psalm 73: 16 When I thought how to understand this, It was too painful for me—17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end.

5.  Make sure your pulpit is selfless.  Preach what helps them not your career. Acts 20:20 how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house.

Now some final advice for all of us:

Either it was always true or it was never true applies our hope:

Now some final advice for all of us:

If ever there were verses that were designed to encourage conviction and standing in times that screamed for panic or compromise it is these verses:

Psalm 62: 5-12  My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah 9 Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor. 10 Do not trust in oppression, Nor vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, Do not set your heart on them. 11 God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this:That power belongs to God. 12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.

I SHALL NOT BE MOVED! Either it is always true or it was never true that He will heal us, protect us, guide us, restore us, and multiply our giving.    Honesty, integrity, fidelity, faithfulness and purity are always valid or they were never valid.  Those who move away from the demands of the Bible will also lose the mighty results of obedience.  Standing like a rock on our principles will release God’s best!

MOM’S ‘DEAR GIRLS’ LETTER DELIVERS STERN ADVICE — AND A WARNING — TO YOUNG WOMEN

MOM’S ‘DEAR GIRLS’ LETTER DELIVERS STERN ADVICE — AND A WARNING — TO YOUNG WOMEN

Sep. 4, 2013 8:13am Billy Hallowell

Are young women becoming too sexual on social media? At least one concerned mother thinks so.

Following Miley Cyrus’ sexualized performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month, parents have increasingly been penning advice letters to young people. While totally unrelated to the Cyrus spectacle, yet another  mom took to her blog on Tuesday to pen a heart-felt — and stern — letter to young girls about the sexy photos many are plastering all over the Internet.

The entry, titled “FYI (If You’re a Teenage Girl),” focuses on the selfies (pictures people take of themselves) that teenagers regularly post on social media. The author, Kim Hall, takes the opportunity to target the girls’ poses, calling these pictures “unfortunate” and urging them to be “women of character” and to have greater self-respect.

“We have teenage sons, and so naturally there are quite a few pictures of you lovely ladies to wade through.  Wow – you sure took a bunch of selfies in your pajamas this summer!,” she writes. “Your bedrooms are so cute! Our eight-year-old daughter brought this to our attention, because with three older brothers who have rooms that smell like stinky cheese, she notices girly details like that.”

But the mother, who is the director of women’s ministry at All Saints PCA in Austin, Texas, said that teenage boys will notice other things — like the fact that it looks like the girls in these pictures aren’t wearing a bra. She also points out that they are striking “red-carpet poses” and “sultry pouts” before they’re going to bed.

“What’s up?,” she asks. “None of these positions is one I naturally assume before sleep, this I know.”

Concerned Mother Kim Hall Pens Post to Young Girls About Selfies, Social Media Profiles

“Please understand this, also: we genuinely like keeping up with you. We enjoy seeing life through your unique and colorful lens – which is what makes your latest self-portrait so extremely unfortunate,” she writes. “Those posts don’t reflect who you are! We think you are lovely and interesting, and usually very smart. But, we had to cringe and wonder what you were trying to do? Who are you trying to reach? What are you trying to say?”

She says the awkward family conversations during which the boys’ social media content is discussed often lead to blocking of the sexy posts, as she cares about her sons’ well-being. Hall also warns that there are no second chances and that those who wish to stay friendly with the Hall family must keep their “cloths on” and their “posts decent.”

“If you try to post a sexy selfie, or an inappropriate YouTube video – even once – you’ll be booted off our on-line island,” she continues, noting that she knows the girls’ families wouldn’t be happy at the thought of her teen sons seeing them in their towels. “Did you know that once a male sees you in a state of undress, he can’t ever un-see it?  You don’t want the Hall boys to only think of you in this sexual way, do you?”

Concerned Mother Kim Hall Pens Post to Young Girls About Selfies, Social Media Profiles

Admitting that her views and actions may seem “old-school,” she concedes that this is simply the way it is for the Hall family, as she hopes to raise men who have “a strong more compass.” These pictures, she believes, put in jeopardy her quest to instill integrity in her sons.

“Every day I pray for the women my boys will love,” she says. “I hope they will be drawn to real beauties, the kind of women who will leave them better people in the end. I also pray that my sons will be worthy of this kind of woman, that they will be patient – and act honorably – while they wait for her.”

The blog post concludes with a call to arms, challenging young girls to turn back on their online photo mistakes. Rather than keeping sexy pictures up, she encouraged them to take them down. Hall also noted that boys are looking for “women of character” and that these girls can fit this description, even if they’ve already made past mistakes.

“You are growing into a real beauty, inside and out,” she said. “Act like her, speak like her, post like her.”

Mark Rutland: 10 Things I Wish I’d Known When I Was 21
Mark Rutland

You might think you’re smart when you get out of college, but I suggest that the real education is only just the beginning.

In an Amish kitchen in Bird-in-Hand, Pa., in the heart of Dutch country, I saw a sign I’ll never forget: “Too soon old, too late smart.” When I saw it, I thought it was memorable but hardly meaningful. I was 21. Now the words are meaningful, but I can barely remember the farmhouse. I am 64.

Sometimes I have the fantasy that I will sit up on my deathbed and cry out, “Oh, I get it,” and lie down again and die. The Amish have it right.

Recently a friend said he wished he were 21 again. The thought held little interest for me, but he made an intriguing counteroffer: What if you could be 21 and know what you know now?

That held more allure, but it begged a question: What, if anything, do I now know that I wish I had known at 21?

I came up with 10 things, none of which I think I would have placed on my priority list at age 21.

1. Inner healing is greater than outward success. It is probably impossible to arrive at 21, let alone 64, without wounds in the inner person—deep wounds that need God’s healing grace. The more I see of inner healing and the more I face up to my own inner wounds, the more I wish I had let Messiah touch my deepest hurts earlier in life. That childhood hurt, that hidden outrage, that long-suppressed horrific memory can lurk like a monster in the basement waiting for years, even decades, to rise and wreak havoc.

Hiding the monster, denying that it’s down there, is a dangerous game. The temptation is to create an alternative reality where success and accomplishment and appearances seem so very real and the monster but a mirage. If I were 21 again I would bore down into the inner world of me and find Christ’s healing touch in the darkness under the floorboards.

2. Mercy is greater than justice. I have found that many in the church want the wayward to “get what’s coming to them.” Too often, there is a shortage of mercy among the followers of Christ, who blessed the merciful in His most famous message, the Sermon on the Mount. Were I 21 again, I would learn and practice mercy, knowing that later I would need it.

Churches, boards, denominations and individual believers who hanker for justice when a colleague stumbles may be planting for a bitter harvest. They gloat over the sins of others, humiliate the fallen and demand their administrative pound of flesh.

Competitiveness and legalism are the death of mercy. Mercy makes love real, acceptance and understanding a practice, and tenderness a way of life.

3. Kindness is better than being right. Just before my friend Jamie Buckingham died, I asked him for a word of wisdom. He said, “It is better to be kind than to be right.”

At 21, I advocated my positions too aggressively. I argued with an eye toward winning, unconcerned about the heart of my “adversary,” who may not have been adversarial at all. I made debate a contact sport. In preaching I let the bad dog off the chain, to the applause of the gallery.

Should time travel be mine and were I to be back in the land of 21, I would be kinder and less concerned with being right. Too many young adults give little thought to kindness.

They Twitter hurtful words like poisonous birds. Their humor is mocking, acidic and unkind. And they are more concerned with being thought clever than with being kind. The value of gentleness has declined on the world market; if I were 21 again I would wish to know the worth of a kind word.

4. Serving is better than being served. Encircled by their entourages, the “success” merchants of modern Christianity place high dividends on being catered to. When I was a pastor, the church I led invited a singing group to come minister. Their list of special demands, including a particular type of orange cut into equal fourths (I kid you not), was five pages long. We canceled.

I wish I had known at 21 how hollow is all that outward stuff. I wish I had known that caring, not being cared for, is what Christ had in mind.

I wish I had changed more diapers instead of leaving that to my wife. I wish I had served more meals, carried more bags, held more doors and lightened more burdens.

5. Brokenness is the doorway to wholeness. This mysterious paradox was hidden from me at 21. I feared brokenness. I ran from it, and when it got too close fought it off with all my might.

If I had but known brokenness was the key to my healing, it would have lifted such fear from me. I thought it would maim me at least and maybe even kill me. Now I know that there is very little real wholeness that does not emerge from real brokenness.

6. Truth is liberating and devastating. Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” My friend Jamie tacked on, “But first it will make you miserable.”

How true. There is a phrase popular among many young adults that I quite like despite my usual distaste for pop jingoes. It is, “Keep it real.” I am not sure of all that is meant by it, but I know what I mean by it.

I wish I had known not to fear the truth about myself. I wish I had known that the temporary misery of the truth was worth going through to find the freedom that it brings.

7.Learning is greater than education. I am a university president, and Oral Roberts University (ORU) is a great university. I am not saying that higher education is unimportant. What I am saying is, I hated getting educated.

At 21, I was a miserable college senior. I was a miserable student from the first grade right through high school and on through three degrees. I was miserable because I did not understand the connection between education and learning.

If I were 21 again, I would still go to college. But this time I would go to learn not just to graduate. I would unleash my curiosity, embrace the process, worry less about my grades and enjoy learning.

How strange that I love to learn at the age I am now. I read voraciously—any subject. I want to know, to understand, to go deeper. If I were 21 again I would take that to college.

8. Giving is sweeter than gaining.I believe in the laws of the harvest. If there is any place in the world that understands “seed faith” it is ORU. Seed faith is not a new idea to me. I believed it at 21. I practiced it and am blessed today because it is real.

Yet I wish that at 21 I had known the sheer joy of giving. I know God will bless us when we give, and sometimes we have made this merely a method to gain. I wish I had realized the joy of generosity. I would have given more and delighted more in the good that giving does and less in the returns it provides.

9.Forgiveness doesn’t fix everything. Not the happiest truth I wish I had known, but it’s among the most sobering. Had I known this I might have been less callous, less reckless and more mindful of the cost.

There are things, relationships and hearts that once broken cannot be fully “fixed” by forgiveness. The wound, the uncaring and insensitive word—they may be forgiven, but the damage from them may never quite be right again.

When I was 21 I just wanted to be forgiven. I wish I had known to do less damage.

10. Prayer is more powerful than persuasion. In all of life, at every age, conflict is an inescapable reality. I wish I had known younger that in conflict and crisis talking to God works better than talking to people. At 21, due perhaps to youthful arrogance, I thought that I could talk my way through everything.

Self-sufficiency, a dangerous habit, breeds prayerlessness. The older I get I find that crisis drives me faster to my knees and more slowly to the phone.

I have seen God turn hearts around, change organizations and melt opposition by prayer alone—when no persuasive speech could have made a difference. If I were 21 again, I would spend more time talking with God and less (far less) persuading others to do what I want.

I wish I had known more than I did at 21. I might have considered one or two of these truths, but I doubt I would have fully appreciated their value.

I do not think I want to be 21 again. But if I had to, if some evil genie made me go back and live it all over, then these are the things I would want to know and the things I would want to believe.

“There is a war on Christianity.”- Rand Paul

Rand PaulRand Paul’s Message To Evangelicals: “There is a war on Christianity.”

Senator Rand Paul, who is seriously considering running for President of the United States, told a conservative Christian audience today that, “There is a war on Christianity” being waged by “liberal elites’ and “worldwide as well.

Read his remarks below, delivered at today’s Faith and Freedom Coalition luncheon in DC. The organization’s big “Road to Majority” event starts today and runs through Saturday. Jeb Bush, sarah Palin, Ted Cruz and many others are speaking in the next couple days.

Rand Paul has been actively courting the conservative Christian community for months. He took a trip to Israel which was organized by influential evangelical organizer David Lane and has been speaking to Christian audiences in key GOP Primary states. He will speak to hundreds of Iowa pastors next month in Des Moines. The Brody File also knows of plenty of private events he has done within the Christian community.

Rand Paul has quite a bit going for him if he makes a run. His libertarian views give him distinct crossover appeal but, in addition as a committed pro-life believer in Jesus Christ he can court evangelicals in a a way that doesn’t look like pandering. Plus, he’s super smart which not only gives the Tea Party more credibility as a movement but allows Paul to get a serious look from the shark-infested waters filled with mainstream media members. He should NOT be underestimated.

Senator Rand Paul’s Remarks below:

“Last year in Pakistan, 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban for being a girl and for wanting to go to school.

If you haven’t seen the YouTube videow of Malala being interviewed on national television, speaking out for the education of girls, watch and you will be amazed at her poise and grace.

Malala never met the great Urdu poet Parveen Shakir, who grew up in Pakistan when women could become highly educated and even Prime Minister.
This line from one of Shakir’s poems reminds me of Malala:

“They insist upon evaluating the firefly in daylight. The children of our age, have grown clever.”

Why would anyone want to kill this innocent young girl? Because Malala, in her young life, insisted on exposing the firefly to daylight.

Her “crime,” as seen by the Taliban, is to believe in enlightenment, to believe that out of the darkness a flicker of tolerance can glow and grow to overcome ignorance.

Americans are seen by Pakistanis as infidels and invaders. We will not in a thousand years bring enlightenment to Pakistan, only Pakistan can do that.

When Pakistan begins to police Pakistan better, when girls who long for nothing but freedom and education are embraced — rather than gunned down by murderous thugs — then will progress finally be made.

My heart breaks for Malala and her family. It breaks for all those who suffer under violent oppression in the name of religion. It breaks for those who cannot grow up to be poets and teachers, but mostly it breaks for those who cannot speak without being gunned down by extremists.

I can only hope that the violence done to her will motivate those who believe in both Islam and peace and tolerance to stand unanimously and proclaim this violence does not represent them. That the Taliban does not represent them. That gunning down children in cold blood does not please their God.

The violence and intolerance against girls is also directed toward Christians. It saddens me to see countries that are supposedly our allies persecute Christians.

It angers me to see my tax dollars supporting regimes that put Christians to death for blasphemy against Islam, countries that put to death Muslims who convert to Christianity, and countries who imprison anyone who marries outside their religion.

There is a war on Christianity, not just from liberal elites here at home, but worldwide.

And your government, or more correctly, you, the taxpayer, are funding it.

You are being taxed to send money to countries that are not only intolerant of Christians but openly hostile. Christians are imprisoned and threatened with death for their beliefs.

In Pakistan, Asia Bibi, a Christian, sits on death row. Her crime, according to her, is that she dared to drink from a glass that belonged to a Muslim co-worker.

According to her co-workers, she insulted the Prophet. In our country, we refer to such quibbling as gossip. In Pakistan, if you are a Christian, it can land you on death row.

Recently, in Pakistan, a 12-year-old with Downs syndrome was imprisoned and charged with a death penalty crime for burning the Koran.

After weeks she was released after a local Imam was accused of actually sprinkling pages from an Arabic book into a fire near the little girl.

Dr. Shakil Afridi is not a Christian but his imprisonment by Pakistan is nonetheless an injustice. He was tortured and held without charge for nearly a year.

He was shackled with his hands behind his back for months and he was finally imprisoned, likely for the rest of his life for the crime of helping America get Bin Laden.

How do your leaders respond? 90 % of them voted against my bill that would have put restrictions on this aid.

My bill said that Libya, Egypt, and Pakistan would get no more foreign aid from the US taxpayer unless they turned over the assassins that killed our ambassador, pledged and verified that they CAN and WILL protect our embassies, and in the case of Pakistan they must release Dr. Afridi.

Overwhelmingly, I was voted down. Is it any wonder that Congress has a 10% approval rating? In Egypt, in Pakistan, they burn our flag—I say not one penny more to countries that burn the American flag!

Even when we’ve tried through good intentions to make the world a better place our actions have often backfired.

During the Iraq War, over a quarter-million Iraqi Christians fled Iraq. Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator but his government was secular and therefore relatively safe for Christians. Christians, however, feared the Shiite government that we helped put in place after Saddam, and they fled in droves.

Where did these Christians go? They headed mostly for Syria, joining the over one million Syrians who have lived as Christians since the time of Christ.

Now, the senate is attempting to arm the rebel forces in syria, many of whom are al quaeda or affiliates.   they do so out of a miguided attempt to stop the violence in syria.

Instead their actions will bring more violence and more persecution of Christians, who have long been protected in Syria.

Before the Arab Spring, Christianity flourished in small outposts, like the Coptic Christians in Egypt. I had hoped that the Arab Spring would bring freedom to long-oppressed people throughout the Middle East, but I fear the Arab Spring is becoming an Arab winter.

Today, Christians in Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Syria are on the run—persecuted or under fire—and yet, we continue to send aid to the folks chasing them.

While they burn the American flag and the mobs chant Death to America, more of your money is sent to these haters of Christianity.

Even if all the atrocities to Christians were not occurring in these countries, we simply don’t have the money to engage in this foolishness. We must borrow the money from China to send it to Pakistan.

While American soldiers spent a decade fighting to liberate Iraq and while American taxpayers have sent roughly $470 million each year in aid, Christians in Iraq are the subjects of what Carl Moeller, president of Open Doors, describes as “religicide.”

Before the toppling of Saddam Hussein, Mosul, a city in Iraq, was home to some 75,000 Christians, but now the number has dropped to around 25,000.

Christian homes are set on fire, bombs are being placed in their cars and Christian families are receiving letters threatening them to leave Iraq or be kidnapped or killed.

American soldiers have also risked their lives for the sake of these countries liberation. Our young men and women have fought for a noble cause but the law of unintended consequences is an unforgiving one.

These countries are not our true allies and no amount of money will make them so. They are not allies of Israel and I fear one day our money and military arms that we have paid for will be used against Israel.

This fight has made me unpopular in Washington but I am willing to risk unpopularity with politicians to do what I am convinced is right.

The new leader of Egypt is Mohammed Morsi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Recently, he stood by when a radical cleric said a prayer for the destruction of Israel and her supporters in his presence.

Actually, it is worse, he did not just stand by, he was seen to mouth the word “Amen” as the cleric said these words of hatred.

How does your government respond?

The bipartisan consensus in Washington vows to increase Egypt’s funding. The President is currently requesting a billion dollar increase in aid to Egypt.

This is an outrage! It is amazing that so many in Washington fail to see who the real enemies are. We should immediately stop sending F-16’s and tanks to Egypt!

It is clear that American taxpayer dollars are being used to enable a war on Christianity in the Middle East and I believe that must end.

When Pope John Paul II spoke about a “culture of death,” he talked about “a war of the powerful against the weak.”

As Christians, we know we must always stand with the most defenseless. I believe that no civilization can long endure that does not respect life from those not yet born to life’s last breath.

I am the sponsor of a life are conception act in the senate, and I will stand up for unborn children as long as I am privileged to be in office.

These days Christians are often unified in our defense of the not yet born but I exhort you to remember the 19-year-olds who are sent into battle.

War is not a game or a sport and any politician who speaks of pre-emptive war with gleeful bravado should not be leading any nation.

As we sit here, our brave troops risk their lives, serving our country with faithfulness and honor. They endure harsh conditions, loneliness and great danger. I pray for their safe return each day and I pray for an end to the war.

I can recall no utterance of Jesus in favor of war or any acts of aggression. In fact, his message to his disciples was one of non-resistance. I do not believe that means that we don’t defend ourselves.

I believe individuals and countries can and should defend themselves. But I simply can’t imagine Jesus at the head of any army of soldiers and I think as Christians we need to be wary of the doctrine of pre-emptive war.

We must and should stand with our fellow Christians in the Middle East and around the world—but that does not necessarily mean war and it certainly does not mean arming sides in every conflict.

Jesus, himself, reminds us of this in the Sermon on the Mount, when he proclaims, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Today, we have a culture that accepts the wanton disposal of millions of innocent children, and sends aid to countries that persecute Christians. . . . . I, for one, will not rest until this injustice ends.

As Christians, we understand that the right to life, and freedom of religion, pre-exist all government. These rights are not granted to man by other men, these rights are granted to us by our Creator.

God, help us in these troubling times to make wise decisions, to make moral decisions, and to listen to the voice of God that lives and breathes and resides in us all. Amen.”

The worst attacks of Satan I have ever heard of are striking God’s people right now. Here is what you do.

 another blog shot copy

The letters in my mail bag   lately have shaken me to my core. These are the most vicious attacks I have ever heard of.  More of you than ever are locked in the battle of your life.  With breathtaking suddenness, Satan has stripped people of everything but their soul.

Dear Friend,

I read your letters.  It is a cherished part of my ministry. Yes my prime directive is to “Preach the Gospel to this generation with ever increasing effectiveness”, but there is another urgent calling on my life.  I am called to our partners. You are an important part of my calling.

Our main intercessors have been involved with MMM for over 30 years! We rarely talk about it, but we have watched your children grow up, wept with you over your losses, fought for marriages and rejoiced in your victories.  We have helped some of you find a home church, a college for your kids and even jobs!

Some are surprised when I answer their letters, emails and phone calls personally.  As a matter of fact, as the ministry grew, I was advised many times to turn this part of my ministry over to others because I was so busy. Those that know me well know that I will never stop pastoring our partners.

Your letter is important because we can pray over your need.  They are just as important because they let me know how the enemy operates.  It is impossible to answer every letter.  This is why I work hard to make Fresh Fire a personal letter that answers the needs I read about in your prayer requests. Yes, Fresh Fire is a window to our work worldwide and a vital source of love gifts to win souls but to me it is so much more than that!

The letters in my mail bag lately have shaken me to my core. These are the most vicious attacks I have ever heard of.  More of you than ever are locked in the battle of your life.  With breathtaking suddenness, Satan has stripped people of everything but their soul.

I took your letters, my Bible and a deeply burdened heart to prayer.  I asked the Lord to open my understanding.  I asked Jesus to rise up and rebuke the devourer. What you are about to read emerged from that time of prayer.

When my understanding was opened I saw something strange. This new attack is like a dragon with three heads.  I want to warn you that you may see yourself in the portrait that I am about to paint.  Be prayerful over this letter. God wants to use it to identify your attack and to arm you to slay it.  This letter will not spell the end of attacks on you but it will give you the divine edge you need right now! Remember, these attacks are not reported by weak or carnal Christians, but by warriors of God on the front line!

shot copy

Here are the three heads of the dragon.  The first attack I see is like a poisonous bite, the second is like suffocating squeeze and the last is like claws tearing lives apart.  This is the trifecta of tribulation!

1. The serpent’s bite.  You feel toxic. Something has bitten you.  You feel that you are gradually losing control of your body and mind.  Your heart races and fearful images flood your mind. You reel under a cloud of confusion. You jump from one solution to another trying to get the upper hand but all the while feeling that something outside you has taken control of your life.  You are exhausted. The least demand of your day can drain you.  You find yourself alone and crying and unable to explain your emotions to even your closest friend.  The people you love are drifting away.  You are gripped with paralyzing feelings of dread.  You feel helpless to make important decisions. You sense disaster is just around the corner.

2. The serpent’s squeeze.  This attack is sudden and crippling. Something came out of nowhere and changed your life in an instant. Your crisis is mummifying you.  You want to run but you cannot move.  You want to scream but your voice is trapped within you.  This attack often strikes at a time when all is going well.  It feels as if everything that could go wrong has gone wrong and there is no way out.  You cannot breathe.  The point of this attack is panic.  The enemy wants you to do something rash.  The devil wants you to abandon your place in God.  He wants to do permanent damage.

3. The serpent’s claws:  This attack is designed to tear people apart.

For silly reasons, people take offense. Disagreements that should be settled easily escalate into name calling, abuse of power, and end in incurable breaches.  Marriages are breaking up over trivial matters.  Churches are splitting over inane issues.  Children are turning on their parents without provocation or prior history of problems. Friends who once walked together suddenly become worst enemies bent on each other’s destruction. A disgusting wave of believer on believer hatred is spreading.

Yes, these three shocking attacks are everywhere.  Not a day passes where I do not hear of each and everyone.  From all quarters I am getting desperate prayer requests.  People say, “Please pray I am so down I cannot get out of bed,” or “I am drowning in fear,” or “I do not know what is going on, friends and family are tearing each other apart!”

blog woman

There is not doubt that we must take drastic action!  We must not panic or cave into the trap of Satan.  We must not forget our God and the power of His word.  So please take a deep breath and listen to this strategy to neutralize your Satanic attack!

The word react kept coming back to me again and again.  The Holy Spirit kept saying, “Learn how to react to your attack.” Victory and defeat are not decided by what happens to me. I choose the result. It kept coming over and over…react, react, and react. Then it turned into REACT, REACT, and REACT!  Finally, it was R.E.A.C.T.   An acronym for: Remember Enforce Abandon Continue Train. Here is a 5 step strategy to stop these vicious new attacks and launch a withering counterattack!

Remember!  You must remember the amazing victories of your past and how you won those battles.  Psalm 20 “some trust in chariots but we will remember the Lord our God.”You must remember your God.  Nehemiah 4:14 says “remember the awesomeness of God and fight…”  You must remember who you are and what your future is. Abigail reminded David that he was a king and to judge himself against 1Sam:25:29 his future.  Finally Paul said, in Romans 8:18 “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us!”   The thing you want to do most now is to get relief from the pain of raging storm.  The devil would gladly give you peace.  You simply have to give up on what you were born to do.

Enforce! You must enforce the victory of the Cross on Satan! Things are not what they seem.  You know that Satan is the master of disguise.  If you leave it to Lucifer to define your reality defeat is certain. The devil relies on your weakness of mind to keep the lie going.  Our enemy kills through special effects.  Bending reality is his stock and trade. The goal of his smoke and mirrors is to get you to accept disaster.  He cannot kill you but he can get you to kill yourself through a fatal panic attack.  (insert Luke 21) It is up to you to impose reality on the evil one.  He must know that he cannot win. He must suffer the results of 2 Corin 10:4. You must put your foot where it rightfully belongs; on the small of his neck!  No matter how out of control your crisis feels the truth is that God is in control and you are His einforcer!

Abandon:  In every attack there is something you must abandon, something that you are holding onto that is actually holding onto you.  2Tim 2:24 (insert).  You may want something bad to happen to someone else.  You may be fantasizing about a destructive relationship.  You may be entertaining suicidal images.  You cannot hold these and gain victory.  Forgive your enemy; cut of the parasites, lighten your load so that you can attack with speed and clarity.  There may be someone that is no longer supposed to be in your life. As T.D. Jakes said, “their part of the story is over, let them go.”

Continue: You were doing something that forced the devil to attack you.  Some harbor the illusion that Satan will let up if we stop doing what riled him up in the first place.  The opposite is true.  You must redouble your efforts to do whatever you did that made Satan mad.  If you cave in, it will embolden him to do this to you again.  On the other hand, if you press on, it will show him that future attacks are futile.  The secret to your victory is to declare your intention to do more than you did before.  Look at Peter.  He was beaten for the healing of the man at the gate beautiful and ordered not to preach about Jesus.

What was his reaction? To pray for boldness to preach and for more miracles! Acts 4:29 “Lord Behold their threats and grant unto your servants boldness that we may preach your word while You stretch forth your hand to heal and let signs and wonders be done in the name of your holy Child Jesus.”

At the moment that you least want to you must get up and rage against the dragon.  He must understand that you are not going to back down, back up or back out of your marriage, ministry, family, career and your life.  Figure out what it is that you were doing that this dragon hated most.  Tell him you will to do it again, do it more and better do it than ever.  The humiliation that Satan hurled at me through the pastor’s lunch only forged a deeper determination to get workers to win souls.

dragon blog copy

Train:  Yes, you will see victory.  However, victory is no time to let up. It is the scourge of our flesh that we do not like to get ready for future attacks.  Our flesh takes no thought for intense prayer or setting in place a strategy for future attacks.  George Barna said that the majority of pastors today preach motivational sermons but they do not teach strategy.  When Paul said in 2Cor 2:11 (insert) he was training the Corinthians to fight and to be ready for the next fight.

When General Patton said, “no amount of courage will avail against an educated bullet,” he was talking about the urgency of training.  Spirit-filled bravado is useless unless it is backed up by a life that is an educated bullet.

After every attack every believer needs to go through a debriefing! Now is the time to ask urgent questions. What did you learn from your last attack?  What were the mistakes and pitfalls you will avoid next time?  What weakness in me does the enemy use to get in and disrupt my life? What will I do now to keep friendships strong, my body healthy, my children safe, my marriage loving and my money secure against future assaults?

So here is the bottom-line.  You are not crazy.  Your attacks are vicious, intense, and completely unfair.  The essence of your crisis is supernatural. This is why your counterattack must be supernatural! These 5 steps are not human wisdom, or soothing psycho-gooblygook.  You can rest in the power of God and the Word of God for victory if you will REACT!!

God wants to do something big with you…don’t blow it!

shot copy

August 8th, 2013,

The darkness gathers.  The clouds of wickedness overtake the land.  There you sit wanting desperately to be used of God.  You want your gifts released.  You want your vision to grow and prosper.  Yet, it feels like a glass wall is holding you back.  What do you do?   God want s to use you to do amazing things…don’t blow right before the finish line!    Check these things:

Make sure you Know the difference: Entitlement versus Expectation.   When Jesus said, “He who is faithful over little will be faithful over much,” it is both a warning and a promise.  I believe it warns us about two attitudes: Entitlement and Expectation.  These look alike but they are polar opposites.

Entitlement tells you to wait to give it your best when you are in a job worthy of your talent. When the “entitled” do take a position that is “beneath” them, they work as if they are just passing through.  This always backfires because there are always at least two people watching you.  The first is your current boss. If they sense that you feel entitled to more, they are already looking for your replacement.  The other who is watching you is unseen, someone who has the power to promote you.  There is always someone watching you who has the power to bless you.

Entitlement makes small beginnings sting.  Zechariah 4:10 asks, “who has despised the day of small beginnings?” The answer is, the entitled.   Great works of God start small and require hard work.  Entitlement doubles your load.  You not only face the hard work that always accompanies success but you are also grieving at results that are probably better than should have been expected.  The warning in, ““He who is faithful over little will be faithful over much,” is if you are not faithful over little, you will never get to be “over much!”

Expectation: Expectation says, “Keep going, I can get there from here!”  Joy and confidence that God’s blessing is inevitable and that it can come from the most unpromising sources.   The woman with the issue of blood said within herself, “if I could but just touch the hem of His garment I shall be whole.”  Expectation finds beauty in the smallest task because God is in the task.  Expectation says, “Keep going, I can get there from here!”  Expectation is a bulldozer that plow under the most discouraging mounds of adversity and setbacks. The promise of Jesus is, ““He who is faithful over little will be faithful over much.”  God will remembers those who were faithful.  He will promote them to big things.

Expectation also works the other way.  It shows you when your current location is a prison and not a promise.  Psalm 62:5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.  If a leader does not believe in your gift and sees you as cheap labor then realize that it may be time to move on.

Go out only at the command of God.   This quote is from God calling, The world has always seen service for me to be activity.  Only those near to me have seen that a life apart, of prayer, may, and does so often, accomplish more that all of the service man can offer me. If man lived apart with Me and only went out to serve at My direct command My Spirit could operate more and accomplish truly mighty things.”

Stop human striving in order to do mighty things. Not only can bad leaders rob your life, you can do it to yourself!   X-ray the demands of your day.  Why do you do them?  You will see things that people say you must do.  You will see things that you only think are vital.  You will see things that you are doing that only God can do. Martha whined to Jesus about Mary.  Jesus said, “She has chosen the better part.” Let inspiration take the place of aspiration.

I know you are champing at the bit, but let the timing and power of God work through you.  Never are we tested more than when finances are scarce.  We want to take care of those we love and yes, we must be diligent but it is dangerous when we move from diligence to hustling.  Many preachers hustle bookings, many business people go into panic partnerships and it always ends the same way.  Instead of solving the crisis new problems are created.  We look back and regret that we did not wait for the God sent opportunity that would have launched us forward.

If you have a child then for certain you have experienced their impatience.  You know that they do not realize how much good you want to do for them in good time.   We are exactly the same.  We grow antsy when things don’t happen soon enough and losing sight of our Father’s good intentions for us, we take matters into our own hands.

God Calling adds this final quote “The world does not need supermen but supernatural men.  People who will persistently turn the self out of their lives and let Divine Power work through them.  Do not fear unemployment! God always plenty of work to be done and always pays His workers well.”
