THE SECRET TO WHY THEY HATE HIM? IT’S IN THE STORY OF LAZARUS

Gentle reader, Trump will not be impeached.  CNN is drooling, but it’s in vain because no campaign money was used illegally.  That said, let’s get to the heart of this blog.  Why do they hate him?  I don’t mean just leftists…I also mean Republicans.  The secret to this is found in—of all places—the story of Lazarus.

Except for a few Republicans with convictions, there really is no difference between Democrats and Republicans in Congress.  You can see it in the ongoing reluctance of Republicans to defend Trump.

Washington looks like there are two distinct world views colliding.  But conservative and liberal are mostly labels for show.  There is something deeper going on here.

Why is Trump so hated?  They don’t hate him because of Stormy Daniels, Omarosa, or because they think he is a racist, or because of his tweets.  It is a much darker motivation.

God used my devotions and reading of John 11—the story of Lazarus—to fully open my eyes.  When this understanding came to me, my burden for our president intensified.  I knew I had to write this to you so that we could agree together for his safety and for this evil to be exposed.

See if you see anything illuminating in these verses:

John 11: 45 Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him. 46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things Jesus did. 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. 48 If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”  Do you see it?

Notice this phrase: “the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”  Their first concern was for their place, not the nation.  That is exactly what is happening in Washington.  They are more concerned about keeping their place than helping the nation.

That dear friend, is what both Democrats and Republicans are doing—they are fighting to keep their place.  Not just in Congress but at the FBI, IRS and many other power centers.  All of these groups wanted Hillary to win, because she was the queen of the swamp.

Right now you have the proof.  Jeff Sessions has the power to end the witch hunt against Trump but he won’t.  Mueller’s abuse of power should be called into account but it won’t be.  Hillary should be in jail.  Obama and his cohorts should be indicted.  None of it happens because the politicians must keep their place.

Trump wants to do what works and what is best for America regardless of what side it offends and threatens.  It’s called pragmatism.  What enrages them is that it’s working.  He is winning, and winning, and they are sick of his winning.

Once upon a time, a famous preacher and a famous atheist agreed to hold debates across the country.  They didn’t tell the audience it was just a money making scheme.  They publicly attacked each—took offerings for their causes—and at the end of the night they split the take.  That is also what is happening in Washington.

-Barack Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize for no reason.  Now Trump has brought North and South Korea together.  Do you think he will get the Nobel Prize for brokering the most amazing peace since Teddy Roosevelt?  Never.  Not even his own party will campaign for that.

Unemployment is at 3.9%.  It is the lowest among blacks and Latinos in recent memory.  His approval among likely voters is 51%.  Do you think Trump will be praised?  Never.

If you as a Christian can’t see the victories Trump is handing the church to have our voices heard, then you are blind.  The next miracle is to get our government back and and see true revival.  Trump is a bridge to all of that.  The hand of God is upon him.

It is time to bombard heaven for the deep state to be exposed.  We need to seek God like never before for special protection on Trump, Melania, the children, and the faithful few left in our government.  Ask big. Ask now

Ephesians 3: 20  “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

When the Kingdom of God Overtakes regular church.

We are on the cusp of a long overdue revolution both inside and outside the church.  An explosive truth is right under your nose; a truth that could fundamentally turn the course of the United States back to God.   I have no doubt that this is the very answer that we are desperately seeking.

When the Kingdom of God Overtakes Regular Church.

By Mario Murillo

Experts say that America has lost her way because the church has lost its way.    How can they blame the church for America’s problems?   Many say it is because they helped reelect Barrack Obama.   They say reelection because, as the saying goes “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.”

Do you, yes you Pastor, need to cry “shame on me for putting race over righteousness” since Obama told you what he was going to do to marriage before you voted?   Will history say that your vote helped open the floodgates for the greatest decline of morals, money, prestige and safety in American history?   You were supposed to protect the sheep.  Did you instead help the wolf by not only voting for him but influencing 6 million believers to violate their conscience?

firsrt amendment copy

This is an extreme example of what happens when “church” overtakes the Kingdom of God.   You wake up committed an agenda that violates your convictions.  This disaster is not limited to politics.  We see it now on every level.  Pastors cannot call sin, sin.  They dare not challenge their people to prayer.  They are imprisoned in a system where they cannot hear from God at all because they are wholly tuned to the whims of fickle members and prevailing social trends.

By now you’ve guessed that when I say “church” I do not mean the Church of Jesus Christ.  I am talking about the machine that man built not God.  Some are built by traditions, others are built by control freaks, and still others are the spawn of charts, graphs and market research.   They have one thing in common…they are working for God but not with Him.

What is even worse is when “church” becomes “church incorporated.”  Now the Pastor must tenaciously protect a far flung empire…even protecting it from God!  They are forced to keep Christians in a childish condition.  You cannot build an army against evil in a Christian country club.

So, even when “church” is wildly successful, Satan laughs because he understands that it is no threat to his destructive plan.

Things look pretty grim don’t they?   No in fact the opposite is the case.  We are on the cusp of a long overdue revolution both inside and outside the church.  An explosive truth is right under your nose; a truth that could fundamentally turn the course of the United States back to God.   I have no doubt that this is the very answer that we are desperately seeking.

So if you are ready…I mean ready to stop chasing fantasies about church growth, soul winning, revival, the supernatural and  the anointing, then you can unlock a truth.  Not just any truth but a truth that terrifies Satan more than any other.  It is about that moment when the WHEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD OVERTAKES CHURCH. lights over america

  1. That moment that you hear the knock. I noticed something consistent in the churches that are not “churches” but power centers that are driving the forces of darkness back in their communities: They all describe the day that their church was “overtaken.”

This came after they heard the knock and opened the door.   Revelations 3:15-20 clearly describes the American church.  Revelation 3: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.   Imagine that!  Jesus is knocking at the door and trying to get back in His own church.

If you are weary from trying to hold something together that you put together it is time to hear His knock and His voice and open the door and let the Kingdom of God overtake you.

  1. The Kingdom of God has its own agenda. Joshua 3: 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” 14 So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.”  And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?”

Joshua was intensely involved in leading until he was overtaken by the agenda of heaven.

Long before you got to your city, God was working there.  Long after you are gone God will still be working there.   He loves the city more than you do.  He has all the wisdom to reach it.  You do not.

Whenever I hear a leader say “we are studying the issue” I know they are operating from churchiness and not the Kingdom.   Our plans need to be consumed.  Kingdom plans must be embraced.

big boy pants

The greatest lie is the one that says we cannot survive unless we become “relevant.”    The Kingdom of God is beyond relevant it is timeless.   No genius in a thousand years would have come up with the plan God had for taking Jericho.  Likewise the agenda of the Kingdom of God infinitely surpasses all that we rely upon.

Why I am so filled with hope?  Because I know that Jesus does not lie.  He promised that if you would hear the knock and open the door He Himself would enter and take over all aspects of church life.

  1. Sailing before the wind. Something else stuck out about those power centers that exchanged “church” for the Kingdom of God. They suddenly had unlimited resources for every project.  How does that work?!

Acts 16: 6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

11 Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis.

This is the best example of an overtaking.   They tried and tried and finally stopped trying.   A vision appears.   And they sail from Samothrace to Neapolis in one Day?  This is a two day trip!   A sea wind filled their sails and cut their time in half.

Things are bad…no way around it.  However it is the sober realization of how bad that can fuel a divine desperation.   Some who read this need to let go of things that are your natural security.  Others need to return to a first love.    I do not know who has a more difficult challenge the pastor of a small church or the leader of a mega church.  One is struggling to survive and the other is diluted by false success.

July envelope art

When we drop all and open the door for the Kingdom of God to overtake our lives and our plans we immediately connect to unlimited power, wisdom, favor and resources.  We can answer anyone, we can implement plans with wisdom from beyond this world and we can connect to the others who have been overtaken by the Kingdom.    This is how national fires are set and the course of a culture is transformed.

Mario Murillo Ministries: Stopping the Nation Killing Machine

Stopping the Nation Killing Machine

By Mario Murillo

Hollywood, pop singers, sports figures, politicians, tech giants like Google, Apple and Amazon along with countless college professors are turning our children’s minds into a nation-killing machine.

This coalition has untold billions of dollars at their disposal.  They control the airwaves—and through Obama and Clinton, the FBI and the IRS.  They can rig elections.

Months ago this would have sounded like a tinfoil cone conspiracy—not anymore.

Now let’s talk about what God is doing.

As a kid, I liked monster movies.  (We are indeed in a monster movie right now.)  Those of you old enough to remember the black and white monster movies featured giant insects, aliens and people.  The culprit was almost always the A-Bomb tests.

There were two elements in those movies: 1. A dark moment of hopelessness when all weapons failed.  2. A controversial scientist who worked out of a barn.

The military reluctantly had to use the weapon from the barn…the monster was defeated.

I freely admit that Mario Murillo Ministries is that scientist working out of the barn.  When this beast of political correctness first oozed out of the swamp, we started warning the church.

We declared that signs and wonders and the conviction of the Holy Spirit are the only weapons for a brain-washed generation.

We declared that we needed to stop fearing politicians and call them out.

We said young minds needed to hear why the teaching of Jesus is divine and they needed to hear the truth about American history.

Then the name-calling and ridicule began.  We were told it would never work.  We were roundly criticized and rejected.  None of this stopped us from finishing our divine training under the Holy Spirit.

Then came the summer of 2016.  The weapon came out of the barn and leaders began to see how it is exactly what is needed.  october-4

The images you see in this blog are snapshots of outreach this summer.  It was a summer of supernatural transformations and no compromise.

Leaders see how the make nice gospel is only making things worse.  Influential pastors are breaking with tradition and joining us on the frontline.  Most of all…there is a growing recognition that this weapon can kill the monster.

In an added piece of exciting news…phase one of our World Headquarters is now complete.  We have secured…and paid cash for a suite of offices in Sparks, Nevada.  The name of our offices is The War Room.  This is our new “barn” and brain center for the next phase of our national invasion to bring Living Proof to the youth of America.

An expert explains why Trump will win

ELECTORAL COLLEGE MATH, AND WHY I THINK TRUMP WILL WIN

As Donald Trump has caught up with Hillary Clinton in the polls, he has likewise closed the gap in the electoral college. Ipsos/Reuters says the race to 270 votes is now nearly tied. Many are focusing on Maine, which allocates its electoral college votes by Congressional district, and where one district going for Trump might change the result.

A reader who has been studying the numbers sends a link to 538 (“Democrats Should Panic … If The Polls Still Look Like This In A Week”) and adds:

I presume Trump wins Nevada. Adjusting for that, if this is accurate Trump loses 265 – 273. So he needs New Hampshire desperately to tie, and then win in the House…or NH plus Maine’s 2nd Congressional District for a bare win 270 – 268, second closest in history.

That could be right. But I think more likely, Trump will win rather easily, and win going away as he did the Republican primaries. I expect him to carry states like Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, Michigan, maybe even Pennsylvania. Why? Two reasons.

The first can be explained with an old story from the world of marketing:

A company came out with a new dog food, and hired an advertising firm to promote the product. The ad agency placed commercials on television and ads in magazines; millions of dollars went into the campaign. The commercials and ads were first-rate, but still the dog food did not sell. The client called a meeting at the ad agency and demanded to know what had gone wrong.

After a moment of silence, the leader of the ad agency team explained: “The dogs don’t like it.”

Hillary Clinton can be re-launched, re-packaged, and protected by a phalanx of reporters. The liberal establishment can do its best to jam her down our throats. But we–the voters–don’t like her. And the more we see of her, the more our dislike is confirmed. She is too weak a candidate to be elected president.

Second, everyone knows that the press is trying to elect Hillary, and most Americans resent it. Every day, editors and reporters try to inflict an anti-Trump theme on the rest of us. Today’s hysteria revolves around Trump’s comments on Hillary’s hypocrisy regarding gun control:

She goes around with armed bodyguards like you have never seen before. I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm. Right? Right? I think they should disarm immediately. What do you think? Yes? Yes. Yeah. Take their guns away. She doesn’t want guns. … Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away, okay? It would be very dangerous.

Trump obviously was making the point that he and countless others have made many times before: liberals like Hillary Clinton, who are protected 24/7 by armed guards, are deeply hypocritical when they try to disarm millions of Americans who don’t have taxpayer-funded protection and rely on their own firearms for self-defense. The point is a powerful one, which is why liberal reporters don’t want to acknowledge it. Instead, they absurdly pretend that Trump was hinting that Hillary should be assassinated.

This kind of thing fools no one. Millions of Americans are quietly fuming over the press’s overreach, going over the top, day after day, to defeat Donald Trump. The blowback is building, and will continue building until election day.

At one point, when I was opposing Trump during the GOP primaries, I said to the press: Stop attacking Trump! Liberal reporters often began with a valid point, but their hysterical hatred for Trump caused them to go too far, making arguments that were patently unfair and unsustainable. Therefore, the more they attacked Trump the more his support grew. The same thing is happening now: most Americans have a pretty good sense of fair play, and they know that Trump is being treated badly by the establishment–a group for whom most Americans have no great affection.

Much more could be said, and will be between now and November 8. But let’s leave it there for now. Like most observers, I have usually been wrong this year, so there is no reason why anyone should pay much attention. But, for what it is worth, I don’t think this year’s election will turn out to be a nail-biter. Nor will it be a landslide, but I do expect a relatively easy win for Donald Trump in both the popular vote and the electoral college.

Could Trump screw it up by making a horrible blunder? Of course. But I think there is a greater chance of disaster coming from the Clinton campaign.

Obama makes voting for Hillary all about him

Obama: I Will Consider It An Insult To My Legacy If You Do Not Vote; Want to Give Me A Good Send Off? Go Vote

Obama: I Will Consider It An Insult To My Legacy If You Do Not Vote; Want to Give Me A Good Send Off? Go Vote

President Obama made a strong sell for a candidate to succeed his legacy at the Congressional Black Caucus dinner Saturday night. The president invoked slavery and the Jim Crow era and preached that if they wanted to give him a good send off then register people to vote because his legacy is at stake.

Although he did not name Hillary Clinton, the president said he would consider it a personal insult from the African-American community if they did not for her.

“My name may not be on the ballot, but our progress is on the ballot,” President Obama said Saturday night. “And there is one candidate who will advance those things. And there is another candidate who’s defining principal, the central theme of his candidacy is opposition to all that we have done.”

“There’s no such thing as a vote that doesn’t matter,” Obama said. “It all matters. And after we have achieved historic turnout in 2008 and 2012, especially in the African-American community, I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down it’s guard and fails to activate itself in this election. You want to give me a good send off? Go vote!”

Remarks:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Our work’s not done. But if we are going to advance the cause of justice, and equality, and prosperity, and freedom, then we also have to acknowledge that even if we eliminated every restriction on voters, we would still have one of the lowest voting rates among free peoples. That’s not good, that is on us.

And I am reminded of all those folks who had to count bubbles in a bar of soap, beaten trying to register voters in Mississippi. Risked everything so that they could pull that lever. So, if I hear anybody saying their vote does not matter, that it doesn’t matter who we elect, read up on your history. It matters. We’ve got to get people to vote.

In fact, if you want to give Michelle and me a good sendoff, and that was a beautiful video, but don’t just watch us walk off into the sunset now, get people registered to vote. If you care about our legacy, realize everything we stand for is at stake, on the progress we have made is at stake in this election.

My name may not be on the ballot, but our progress is on the ballot. Tolerance is on the ballot. Democracy is on the ballot. Justice is on the ballot. Good schools are on the ballot. Ending mass incarceration, that’s on the ballot right now.

And there is one candidate who will advance those things. And there is another candidate who’s defining principal, the central theme of his candidacy is opposition to all that we have done.

There’s no such thing as a vote that doesn’t matter. It all matters. And after we have achieved historic turnout in 2008 and 2012, especially in the African-American community, I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down it’s guard and fails to activate itself in this election. You want to give me a good send off? Go vote! And iI’m going to be working as hard as I can these next seven weeks to make sure folks do.

Hope is on the ballot. And fear is on the ballot too. Hope is on the ballot and fear is on the ballot too.

Mario Murillo:  Two things to take away from this:

  1. Hillary will continue Obama’s destruction of America—his true legacy. Everything you hate about Obama’s America…everything that has broken your heart continues in her. It will not only continue…it will accelerate.   Obama has removed all doubt: A vote for Hillary is a vote for his damage to intensify.
  2. He is not asking—he is summoning black people to vote for her. He believes he is entitled to command them. He believes they are his subjects.  He has never deemed himself an elected servant.  He views himself as an avenging angel—an angel with a strange admixture of Islam to Marxism—driven by religious and racial animosity.

America liked us better back when we told the truth.

By Mario Murillo

This is written with deep love for and loyalty to the local church. There is no desire to take a cheap shot at anyone or to divide the church.  I have to write this because love does not lie or withhold needed correction.

America has abandoned God, Christian values, Israel and is racing toward disaster.  Evil festers when good men do nothing.  Denying it will not change it or make it go away.  Its effect on you and those you love will not be stopped by delusional teachings of spiritual entitlement.

So how do we turn the American Church around?  That is the question I posed in a previous post.  Now I continue to answer that burning question by saying this:  in order to turn the church around we must face the fact that America liked us better back when we told the truth.

Here is an illustration from the Bible.  Jonah ran from his calling.  This brought a great storm.  The captain had a gut feeling that nature was angry about something. They found Jonah sleeping and asked him who are you?   When he admitted he was a runaway prophet.   Jonah 1:10 tells us, “Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord because he had told them.”

Americans feel a psychic resentment toward the church.  I say psychic because it is intuitive and subconscious.  They really cannot explain why they are angry with us. They may claim it is our politics, or falsely accuse us of racism or even rightly point out our flaws but this present dislike of the church stems from something much deeper.  They are asking us “why have you done this?”

When the outside world observes our illustrated electronic happy talks they get a gut feeling that we are hiding something.   They also suspect that our nation’s storm is partly because preachers are not confronting sin anymore.  As one non-Christian pundit put it “if there was more hell in the pulpit there would be less hell in the ghetto.”

At this point in our national disaster a mega church can be like having the best party going on the deck of the Titanic.  You are having a great time but you will not save America from the frigid angry sea.

Here is the real rub…if numbers matter so much then why are we ignoring the most important statistic? Overall church attendance in America has fallen dramatically.

They liked us better when we were not trying to be liked.  There was a day when men of God stood in pulpits as free men.  They were free of any need to be liked or successful.  A. W. Tozer said, “These free men will serve God and mankind from motives too high to be understood by the rank and file of religious retainers who today shuttle in and out of the sanctuary.  They will make no decisions out of fear, take no course out of a desire to please, accept no service for financial considerations, perform no religious act out of mere custom; nor will they allow themselves to be influenced by the love of publicity or the desire for reputation.”

We are impressed by churches that can draw 15,000 people.  But that is nothing compared to back in the day when America liked us better…a whole lot better.

Look at the picture of Billy Graham in the Los Angeles Coliseum in 1963.  120,000 are inside, and another 30,000, could not get in.  On the scoreboard it says “I am the Way the Truth and the Life.  No man comes unto the Father but my Me.” -John 14:6.   Not one person was offered a door prize.   No one was in the dark about the purpose of the meeting.  Billy stood there and simply told them that they had to come to Christ or be lost for all eternity.

Look at this picture below of Billy preaching in Times Square in New York City.  We cannot even imagine anything like this happening today.

times square

When Billy prayed for sermons he focused on hearing what the Holy Spirit wanted him to say.  He wanted a message that God could use and not words that would dazzle the audience.  Billy died to his private opinions in the pulpit.  He got out of the way so that the Holy Spirit could work on the audience.

We bought into the lie that if we made nice and took out the scary parts of our message we would be liked but we ended up more despised than ever.  Proverbs 28: 23 He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward than he who flatters with the tongue.

Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas said Jesus did confront his culture with truth — and he ended up being crucified because of it.”  “I believe it’s time for pastors to say, you know, I don’t care about controversy, I don’t care whether I’m going to lose church members, I don’t care about building a big church. I’m going to stand for truth regardless of what happens.”

Mainstream Media: Defeat Trump by Attacking His Supporters

Mainstream Media: Defeat Trump by Attacking His Supporters

First they come after you, then they target your family and business relationships

It is no secret that the mainstream media has decided that the threat presented by a possible Donald Trump presidency is so grave that it has suspended even the illusion of objectivity. Writing in The New York Times, media columnist Jim Rutenberg granted permission to his fellow journalists “to throw out the textbook American journalism has been using for the better part of the past half-century, if not longer, and approach it in a way you’ve never approached anything in your career.”

The Observer and others have detailed the ways in which traditional media companies and even tech companies have colluded to maximize negative coverage of Trump and minimize negative coverage of his opponent, Hillary Clinton. But it doesn’t end there. As Rutenberg described, many journalists feel the need to “move closer than you’ve ever been to being oppositional.”

That opposition has extended into new and uncharted territory. In the coordinated effort to stop a dangerous candidate from obtaining, to use Rutenberg’s breathless description of the stakes, “control of the United States nuclear codes,” the mainstream media has taken not just to bashing Trump but to extracting a price even from those who support him.

There are a hundred examples, but here are just a few headlines that tell the story:

  • Daily Beast: “Trump’s Doctor ‘Overmedicated’ Patients Who Died in His Care”
  • Washington Post: “The contractor that designs Ivanka Trump’s clothes does not offer a single day of paid maternity leave”
  • New York Times: “Peter Thiel’s Embrace of Trump Has Silicon Valley Squirming”

Let’s look at each of these. While I don’t doubt that self-identified right-wing sites would look into the record of Hillary Clinton’s doctors, it’s much harder to imagine a site like Daily Beast, which fancies itself a centrist outlet (and is even edited by my old Rudy Giuliani speechwriting buddy, John Avlon), expending that kind of investigative energy on Hillary’s non-political professionals. The message is clear: If you associate with Trump, we will rummage through your past.

The attacks on Trump supporters extend even beyond Trump relatives to include, bizarrely, the relatives of supporters.

As for The Washington Post story, the message was equally clear. While children of presidential candidates have long been considered off limits by the mainstream media, the Post clearly smelled danger in the crossover appeal of a successful, presentable working mother. Ivanka Trump (who, for the thousandth time, is married to the Observer’s publisher) runs a company that is not only among the 10 percent to provide paid maternity leave, but also offers unlimited vacation and sick days and flexible work schedules. So the Post attacked a company that Ivanka’s company does business with, only they implied that Ivanka was responsible for that company’s business practices. The Post later attached an editor’s note and clarified the story to “indicate that Ivanka Trump has no direct managerial role in G-III Apparel Group,” but the damage had been done and the misleading headline remains to this day. Plus, there’s the original URL of the story—which is important in search engine optimization. It has not been corrected and still gives the false implication that Ivanka herself is not providing paid maternity leave.

Then there’s the Peter Thiel story. His actions in supporting Trump supposedly have his industry peers “squirming,” according to The New York Times. Yet Clinton supporters who represent industries in which she is unpopular are portrayed as principled and loyal Democrats. Consider that Politico reported “Clinton haunted by coal country comment.” Clinton said, “We’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.” Local officials sent a letter to Sen. Joe Manchin saying ““Bill and Hillary Clinton are simply not welcome in our town.” So how come not a single supporter of hers, including Sen. Manchin and Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, is said to be making West Virginia “squirm”?

Where are the mainstream investigations of Hillary’s doctors? Or the business practices of Chelsea Clinton? How is it that none of Hillary’s supporters has any industry “squirming”?

The attacks on Trump supporters extend even beyond Trump relatives to include, bizarrely, the relatives of supporters. Buzzfeed did a whole story on whether Josh Kushner’s business would be hurt by the fact that — can you follow this? — his brother’s wife’s father is the presidential candidate. Is that the standard? Has there been a single article anywhere about the business prospects of Marc Mezvinsky’s siblings? The writer of the Buzzfeed story – the talented reporter Nitasha Tiku, who worked at the Observer and was happy to cash checks signed by Jared Kushner when she did—contacted several colleagues of Josh Kushner to determine whether they’d still be comfortable doing business with Josh’s investment firm, Thrive Capital. The Trump-opposing tech investor Chris Sacca is characterized by Tiku as saying, “The Trump connection might have affected Thrive directly.” The message from the MSM is clear: Support Donald Trump, and you—and maybe even your family—will be ridiculed, investigated and ignored.

The Observer itself provides another good example. Our traffic and users have grown more than 5x since January 2013, from 1.3 million unique users reading 3 million pages a month to 6 million unique users reading 17 million pages a month. This information is easily available. And yet, from the time this contentious, ornery campaign took shape, our documented-to-death Trump connection has been revealed in the way the Observer itself has been covered.

Politico wrote about us, “The paper’s editorials, which had largely ceased having influence…” I showed the reporter data proving that many more people read our editorials today than read them five years ago and I asked him to explain how he reached the conclusion that they had “largely ceased having influence.” He told me, “My editor wrote that line.” He said he’d get back to me if he got an answer. He never did.

Esquire’s hit piece on Jared Kushner called the Observer “a once venerable newspaper” without even pretending to offer an explanation of what made it venerable in the past or why it’s no longer so, despite the increased revenue, readership, staff, investment in journalism or other facts I would have been happy to provide had anyone asked.

The Daily Beast wrote that, “Kushner and the paper’s editor in chief, Ken Kurson, were the object of controversy and staff protests and resignations.” Got that? Staff resignations with an s, as in plural. Actually it’s been one staff resignation, a writer who was not the “top reporter” (he was No. 2 on a three-person team) that CNN crowed about in its headline. Given the constant turnover throughout the Observer’s history, long before Trump ran for president, it’s striking that CNN would devote a headline to this boring-as-hell non-event.

There’s another tactic employed by the mainstream media that’s inversely related to punishing Trump supporters—rewarding Hillary supporters.

Then there’s just the general anti-Observer snark. It’s been a fact of life, especially since our beloved longtime editor Peter Kaplan left the paper in 2009, but has been dialed to 11 since Trump began his unlikely ascent in American politics. A telling example involves a trifling story we ran, in which New York Times Editor-in-Chief Dean Baquet said ‘F— You’ to a reporter he thought had used racist language. To me, it was the exact kind of funny and revealing little insider story that Kaplan would have loved (and I don’t claim to speak for him, despite the generous way he fed me advice even though I didn’t start here till four years after he left). Nonetheless, some media types, eager for any opportunity to celebrate the Observer’s demise, pounced. The Times’ own Willy Staley, for example, tweeted out the story and insightfully commented, “The Observer has become so f—ing weird!” Staley did not know at the time that Baquet himself praised the story, calling it “Perfectly fair.” It has been fun to watch the media simultaneously declare the Observer totally irrelevant but also responsible for electing the president of the United States.

At least Gawker, z’l, was less circumspect in its disapproval of what takes place here. In lambasting our paper’s endorsement of Trump in the Republican primary (we also endorsed Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary, which understandably generated far less coverage), Hamilton Nolan wrote “The New York Observer, which was once a good newspaper, is endorsing the owner’s wife’s dad for president.” That’s at least funny, and it acknowledges by stating as a fact that the Observer was once good that the idea that Observer is no longer a “good newspaper” is Nolan’s opinion, rather than trying to hide behind factish sounding writing like “once venerable” or “largely ceased having influence.”

There’s another tactic employed by the mainstream media that’s inversely related to punishing Trump supporters—rewarding Hillary supporters. Not just any Hillary supporters, but those brave Republicans who are putting country ahead of party by supporting Clinton.

Search for “Republicans back Hillary” in Google and you get “There are now dozens of big-name Republicans supporting Hillary” (Washington Post), The Republicans Who Support Hillary Clinton Over Donald Trump” (The Atlantic), “Which Republicans Are Against Donald Trump? A Cheat Sheet (also The Atlantic), “At Least 110 Republican Leaders Won’t Vote for Donald Trump. Here’s When They Reached Their Breaking Point.” (New York Times), “Here are the Republicans Voting for Hillary Clinton Over Donald” (Time), and The Biggest GOP Names Backing Hillary Clinton—So Far (The Daily Beast).

Enter “Democrats back Trump” and you get a story from The Hill from January and a Toledo Blade story.

The simple explanation would be that tons of Republicans back Hillary while few Democrats back Trump. But that narrative defies the reality of a Republican primary that drew record numbers of new GOP registrants and set a new record for votes cast, unlike the Democratic contest. And with the candidates roughly tied in the polls (the LA Times, for example, has Trump up by 3 points), there’s no way a “wave” of Republican Trump rejecters cannot be equaled by roughly the same number of Democrat Hillary rejecters. Unless the polling is drastically undercounting Hillary supporters (most think it’s more likely to be undercounting Trump voters, who have been shamed out of telling a pollster they support such a “dangerous” candidate), there have to be at least as many Trump Democrats as there are Hillary Republicans. But the media isn’t interested in finding them.

What’s even more surprising than the media suddenly cheering someone like former Bush aide Paul Wolfowitz, who was universally loathed by the MSM up until the moment he announced his support for Hillary has been the way the press issues valentines to Republicans no one has never heard of. How did Maria Comella, a press aide to Chris Christie, merit 1200 words and a “First on CNN” feature on air simply by declaring her support for Hillary?

Republican candidates have long complained about the bias in American media. Most of the time it’s nonsense. John McCain courted the favorable opinion of the New York Times so aggressively and for so long that it was almost fun to see him crying about how tough it was to run against a media darling like Barack Obama in 2008. Mitt Romney, who really did suffer from poor coverage, mostly had himself to blame –secret tapes about 47% freeloaders may have been reported by Mother Jones, but they weren’t manufactured by Mother Jones. And the alleged bias can sometimes work to a Republican’s advantage. When George W. Bush called New York Times reporter Adam Clymer a “major league A—-,” probably as many people admired the future president’s authenticity as chastised him for his uncouth remarks.

What’s different here is the dropping of even the pretense of objectivity. In unilaterally determining that Donald Trump is unfit even to be covered objectively—to the point that he must be disqualified by any means necessary—the mainstream media has set a dangerous precedent.

COMPANIES AT WAR WITH THE CHURCH

TYRANNY BLOG copy

March 30th, 2016   By Mario Murillo

General Zod ordered them to activate the world engine.  Suddenly, downbursts of inconceivable power began squashing and pulverizing an entire city and its innocent citizens.   A wise scientist discerned what was happening—aliens are terraforming the earth.  Terraforming is a science fiction device that dates back to at least 1941.  Machines transform atmospheres so they can be colonized—essentially, absorbing an existing world in favor of a new matrix.

By now, many recognize this as a scene from the movie Man of Steel.  Last night wasn’t my first time to see the film.  Seeing it on television is not the same as a theater on a gigantic screen with deafening sound and a responsive audience.   It should have been an amusingly tepid affair—but for some reason—the terraforming scene disturbed me.  Now I know why.  It is because it is happening right now.

terraforming

Walt Disney Studios, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Coca Cola, IBM, the NBA (to name a few) are and terraforming North Carolina and Georgia.  They are absorbing Christianity.  These corporations are pounding, pulverizing and eradicating an existing culture in favor of a new culture.

Their world engine says, “You will allow boys into the girl’s showers and bathrooms—you will not call homosexuality a sin from the pulpit—you are not allowed to operate a Christian adoption agency unless you place children in gay and lesbian homes—you will do this or we will blast your economy back to the stone age.”

If you believe their motivation is to advance equality and human rights…then you couldn’t sell bogus bonds to your mother.  It has nothing to do with rights.  It has nothing to do with equality.  It has everything to do with the world engine.

cared

If they cared about women’s rights and gay rights these corporations would stop doing business with Moslem countries where women are mutilated and gays are executed.  They would stop doing business with China because of gross human rights violations.   The world engine cannot say Islamic terror no matter how much blood flows.  It cannot call the mass extermination of Christians in the Middle East genocide.  Here is a headline that came out today:

Saudi government ‘wants to EXECUTE gay people who show their sexuality in public & online’

SAUDI law makers could impose the death penalty on gay people who show their sexuality in public and on social media, according to reports.  The government in the Sunni Kingdom is reportedly demanding tougher punishments on those found guilty and claimed social media has caused a boom in homosexuality.   According to Okaz newspaper, the last six months has seen 35 cases of homosexuality and 50 cases of cross-dressers as well as cases of “sexual perversion” in Saudi Arabia.

NONE OF THESE COMPANIES ARE TRYING TO PUNISH SAUDI ARABIA THE WAY THEY ARE PUNISHING GEORGIA AND NORTH CAROLINA

It is all about the world engine…a complicated device indeed.  This engine operates on a double standard.  Because of the World Engine, Mayor Ed Lee of San Francisco bans flights to North Carolina but does not ban murderers in San Francisco.   Kate Steinle was walking on a busy pier in San Francisco with her father when there was a single popping sound in the air. She fell to the ground, struck by a bullet, the victim of what police say appears to be a random killing. The man who fired the deadly shot—45-year-old Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez—an illegal alien, a repeat felon who has been deported five times to Mexico—but protected by S.F.’s sanctuary policy.

silence

The world engine is why you hear all about the horrors of Christianity and nothing about Islam.  Mosques face no economic threat from these corporations.   If this were about equality they would not be trampling freedom of speech and freedom of religion.  Even gay activist Milo Yiannopoulos is disgusted with the open persecution of Christians in the name of gay rights.

Since Moslems and illegal aliens vote democratic they are protected.  The world engine sees Christianity as the sole obstruction to its brave new world.  The world engine has decided that the one last unprotected and unrepresented group should be the Christians.  They are fair game for insults, illegal arrests search and seizure and financial tyranny.

What is the end game of the world engine?  To complete its terraforming, it must create a herd of low information—amoral—drug addicted—government dependent people.  To do so, the engine forms strange alliances.   Feminists and Moslems—Seeker pastors and atheists—greedy corporations and socialists—all natural enemies gleefully work together.  They are united by hate not by love.

What the companies are doing to Georgia and North Carolina is not human kindness but a cold cynical marketing scheme.  Right now hurting Christians sells.   If enough people felt strongly about the oppression of devil worshipers, we would have Satan day at Disneyland.  Why do politicians cave to anti-God policies?  Because opposing churches gets you reelected.   Why do seeker pastors refuse to stand with their brothers for righteousness?  Because by looking anti-biblical, anti-judgmental gets you a crowd.

The behavior of these corporations is not just illegal it is felony extortion and intimidation…they have called the church out.  They have declared war on us.  They are testing the early version of the mark of the beast.   Here is the most important thing to know: When you are in a war–you must know you are in a war–prepare like you are in a war and fight like you are in a war.

engine

This world engine can be a very easy excuse for a fearful church.  But we must not violate scripture and fashion a doctrine in order to justify our fear.  Certainly things are going to “wax worse and worse” but Jesus forever sealed the issue in Matthew 24:14 when He declared a worldwide impact of His Gospel before the world would be allowed to end.

In a segment of the church today it is fashionable to want revival.  It is “in” to talk revival talk.  Satan has not wished to bury revival talk but, rather, he wants to congratulate us for only saying we want it. He is amused by our pompous symbolic effort to bring revival.  The devil delights in the fact of our pride.  We are so pleased with our awareness of the needs for revival that it seems enough to just want it.

There is a young crop of Christians that is entirely different from swooning saints.  I told you in a recent letter that the youth will bring a Lion Revival!  These young Christians ask disturbing questions about why we always seem to want something that we never deliberately try to get.  If the church is not careful, we may be passed over in favor of this new breed of believers who don’t have our religious childhood diseases.

announce

II Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”   That is a promise that we have all heard and believed, but probably never realized its true significance.  A promise and instructions are embedded in that verse that will remove Satan’s vile talons from the throat of our nation.

The eyes of the Lord see everything but they focus on what is going on with His people.  Let us come before Him now, aware of our total helplessness.  Let us announce that we are His people and that we do not fear our time, but we fear the Lord, and we have come to stand before His presence on behalf of a new demonstration of His glory on earth.  Then we will see the barriers removed and the long-awaited revival explode!

Trump and Cruz send shivers down GOP spines

The prospect of either man as the Republican nominee is setting off alarm bells among officials and operatives across the country.
By ALEX ISENSTADT 01/05/16 05:11 AM EST

With only weeks before GOP primary voters first cast their ballots, the level of alarm among establishment Republicans about the enduring dominance of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is reaching new heights.

In private conversations with several former aides, Mitt Romney, who in March will keynote the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual fundraising dinner, has expressed rising frustration about Trump’s prolonged lead in polls and has argued that the real-estate mogul could inflict lasting damage on the party’s brand.

In Washington and elsewhere, meanwhile, Republicans are on the hunt for a political entity that can be used to stop Trump. In recent weeks, Alex Castellanos, a veteran TV ad man who was a top adviser to George W. Bush and Romney, has been meeting with top GOP operatives and donors to gauge interest in launching an anti-Trump vehicle that would pummel the Manhattan businessman on the television airwaves.
Those who’ve met with Castellanos say he’s offered detailed presentations on how such an offensive would play out. Castellanos has said that an anti-Trump ad campaign, which would be designed to cast him as a flawed strongman, would cost well into the millions. It was unclear, the sources said, whether Castellanos, who did not respond to a request for comment, would ultimately go through with the effort.

One growing worry about Trump or Cruz, top party officials, donors, and operatives across the country say, is that nominating either man would imperil lawmakers in down-ballot races, especially those residing in moderate states and districts.

“At some point, we have to deal with the fact that there are at least two candidates who could utterly destroy the Republican bench for a generation if they became the nominee,” said Josh Holmes, a former chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. “We’d be hard-pressed to elect a Republican dogcatcher north of the Mason-Dixon or west of the Mississippi.”

“Trump and Cruz are worrisome to most Republican candidates for governor, senator and Congress,” said Curt Anderson, a longtime GOP strategist and former Republican National Committee political director. “Some will say they are not worried, but they are.”

Romney has been calling around to former advisers to sound them out about the race, and to kvetch about Trump’s surprising durability. But in the immediate term, at least, he has expressed unwillingness to lend his hand to a stop-Trump effort — or to endorse a candidate more palatable to a GOP establishment paralyzed by his rise and worried that nominating him or Cruz would scupper an opportunity to control both the White House and Congress in 2017.

The concern is particularly acute in the Senate, where Republicans are fighting to preserve a relatively slim four-seat majority, defending more than half a dozen seats in hard-to-win swing states. Among them: Ohio, a presidential battleground state where Republican Sen. Rob Portman faces a perilous path to reelection.

When Trump traveled to the state in November, he met with Matt Borges, Ohio’s Republican Party chairman — who warned the front-runner that “divisive rhetoric won’t help us carry Ohio.”

“It’s time for people who have never won squat here to listen to the people who have been doing it for decades,” Borges said in an interview. “I’m just looking out for how we win in November.”

In Wisconsin, some party officials fret that a Trump or Cruz nomination could sink Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who faces a tough race against his predecessor, Russ Feingold.
“Certainly, it would be bad for Ron Johnson if Trump is the nominee,” said Wisconsin Rep. Reid Ribble who, like Johnson, was swept into Congress in the Republican wave of 2010. “I think Trump is probably really bad down-ballot.”

Some top party strategists have spent months considering how the outcome of the primary will impact congressional races. Since last spring, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has been poring over research and polling data in hopes of better understanding how each of the Republican candidates running for president would affect GOP hopefuls running for Senate. The committee has held internal meetings to discuss the pros and cons of each presidential contender and how they would affect each key Senate race.

The House, where Republicans have a historic 30-seat majority, is more secure for the party. But there, too, the GOP has reason to worry: The party must defend nearly three dozen endangered seats — many of them in liberal-to-moderate states like California, New York and Florida.

Should Trump or Cruz win the nomination, party operatives say, some longtime officeholders in more conservative districts such as New Jersey Rep. Scott Garrett or Florida Rep. John Mica, who typically skate to general election wins, could find themselves in tougher-than-usual contests.

Cruz’s campaign pushes back on the idea that the Texas senator would imperil those running in House and Senate races. A Cruz nomination, they argue, would motivate conservatives to turn out to vote in a way that an establishment candidate couldn’t.

“Down-ballot Republicans need Ted Cruz at the top of the ticket because he is the only candidate in the race who can excite the base to show up in November,” said Rick Tyler, a Cruz spokesman. “If we chose another moderate, we will simply lose seats we would otherwise win.”

Trump’s campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Some, though, are already counseling Republican candidates to begin to think about how to distance themselves from a Trump or Cruz in the event either wins the nomination.

“Candidates will need to develop their own brand,” said Pennsylvania Rep. Charlie Dent, a Republican who has represented a swing district in Lehigh Valley since 2004. “A candidate will need to run his or her own campaign and distance themselves from the top of the ticket.”

Among the tricky questions candidates will be forced to consider: whether it’s worth endorsing either potential nominee.

Illinois Rep. Bob Dold, a Republican who represents a liberal-leaning, suburban Chicago district, said he had ruled out endorsing Trump. He declined to say whether he’d back Cruz.

While Dold said he was monitoring the primary, he argued that voters would be willing to look beyond the party’s presidential nominee when determining his fate in November.

“Illinois 10th District,” he said, “has a long history of ticket splitting.”
