THEY CAME TO PRAY

They came to pray—that’s the real story.  And it’s a way bigger story than you know.

They came even though no headline worship team or celebrity speaker was advertised. They came to pray. Prayer alone was the attraction. They did not gather to be dazzled by a ‘now word.’ They did not come for exotic manifestations. They did not come to get or give a ritual apology for wrongs done in past history. They came to pray. They came to ask for a miracle in California.

In short, they went against the grain of almost everything commonly used to bring in crowds of Christians in California.

After a short worship time and admonition on prayer, I welcomed leaders to come and pray. They were our next miracle.

They also only came to pray. They did not do this because we promised they could announce their churches or events. They didn’t want to preach or showcase their gifts. They did not do this for attention. They left their egos completely out of this.

They were transformed just walking to the microphone. A spirit of prayer came over them as one after another poured out their heart to God. Each one added more fuel to the fire.

Several confessed later that they felt they were being consumed by a holy fire and a passion for an outpouring from God. Many later said that they would never be the same.

Because I know my wife so well, I can tell with certainty what happened to her. When she grabbed the mike, I saw the anointing jolt her. The prayer and prophecy that exploded out of her was amazing and it rocked the stadium.

Meanwhile, another important miracle was unfolding in the crowd. They didn’t need to be entertained, they were lost in intercession. Between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. they prayed. They were no longer from different denominations or streams. Not one person was behaving in such a way as to draw attention to themselves. It was a holy chorus of prayer.

Everyone felt the urgency for a miracle in California. They fully grasped the fact that we are running out of time.  At the same time they felt an unshakable confidence that our cries were heard, and they knew that something undeniable is going to break forth in California—the state that some said was lost and hopeless.  Just as when Elijah was discouraged and convinced that he was the only one who was left to worship Jehovah, God spoke these words to him, “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed their knees to Baal.”

As I said before—the big story here is that they came to pray. Sadly, many will not see the importance of this breakthrough. Too much of ‘California Christian Culture’ is incapable of grasping the significance of people just wanting to pray. Too many organizations are enslaved by the programs that keep them afloat.

There is a contamination among too many here that, unless perks are offered, will not show up for an event. We need to find our way back to our first love. We need long and fervent sessions of prayer. There is a remnant that will read this and truly be excited, and who will be aware that this is a big story.

It would be wonderful if this night in Fresno could ignite a desire for thousands of prayer meetings to spring up across America—meetings where they have come to pray—and only to pray.

THE SHOCKING REASON

I rented an entire baseball stadium to have a prayer meeting—an actual prayer meeting—a meeting where you pray.  And before you finish reading this, you will understand that I am promising you a night of true prevailing prayer, for a miracle in California!

The shocking part is this: I have to stipulate that we are actually going to be praying.  That is because of the terrible thing that has happened to many major prayer gatherings in America.

They seem to do everything but pray.  They sing, they teach, they exhort, and they declare things—but they never just seem to pray.

There is no mystery why they do not pray:  it’s because they need to get a crowd. And let me tell you, my friend, there is a science to getting a crowd in Christian circles these days.  The key is three-fold: Politics, entertainment, and, last but not least, money. You need to get a famous Pastor, a famous worship team, and a famous theme for the event.

The planning for these events looks like a bill winding its way through Congress. By the time the committee sponsoring the prayer covers all the bases, prayer is just an add on.

First, there is the politics of appealing to various camps in the Body of Christ. You must appeal to the prophetic camp, the reconciliation camp, the worship camp, and to what I call the ‘superstition’ camp. They will not come if you don’t, at some point, feature their pet doctrine or their latest ‘revelation.’ All this takes time, and it takes time away from prayer.

Others will not participate until you promise them time to announce their ‘special’ projects and products.  Prayer is submerged beneath endless announcements and commercials.

Then there are the ‘superstition’ people who are big on curses.  They insist on digging up events from past history and trying to figure out which group should apologize to whom, for something their ancestors did.  I remember a pastor saying to the millennials in the stands, “I know you didn’t own slaves, I know you didn’t create segregation,” and here he yelled at the baffled youth, “but, I forgive you!”  You could feel the Holy Spirit departing from that stadium.

Other ‘superstition’ folks believe you must ‘spiritually map’ the area and learn the name of the ruling demonic spirit. Let me tell you plainly, my friend, that is nowhere in the Owner’s Manual.

What I see in the Word of God is the account of how Philip went down to Samaria and preached Christ to them.  When he arrived, he never asked the name of the local demon in charge. Rather, the demons began screaming.  I don’t know the name of the demon that rules over California, but I do know the NAME that will cause him to flee!  I know the authority that will say, “Pack up and get out!”

Then there is the crowd that worships worship.  God is not the object of their singing.  Musically chanting the same phrase over and over merely induces a trance-like state that has nothing to do with exalting the name of Jesus.  And, it feels like some kind of New Age mantra. Here again, prayer is put on hold. Singing absorbs the event, with maybe 15 minutes of prayer tagged on at the end.

Finally, prayer faces a threat from another unlikely source: The Famous Celebrities.  Each one of them gets up to pray, and then tries to be more eloquent than the previous Famous Celebrity, or ‘influencer.’  They are not calling on the name of the Lord from a broken heart; they are just making speeches under the guise of prayer. Wow! Even when we get to prayer, the prayer isn’t really prayer.

So that is why I rented a baseball stadium: because California needs prayer—honest to God prayer. Hell-shaking prayer.  Devil-busting prayer.  Old fashioned sobbing at a wooden altar type prayer.  We need prayer that travails and prevails. We need prayer that doesn’t regard man, time, or emotion.  We need prayer that has nothing to do with feelings.  We need prayer that is not poisoned by ulterior motives or ego trips.

Let me tell you, my friend, the vile talons of Satan have California by the throat.  There is no other remedy but God.  There is no stopgap measure to save this state.  The condition of California is beyond words and beyond human wisdom.  We are at a point where only intercessory prayer can break the grip of the enemy.

Will there be a powerful worship team at this event?  Yes. But you won’t be hearing their name, because they want you to come to pray.  They will flood the stadium with anointed music and will then yield to the true Spirit of Prayer.

Will there be famous preachers at this event? Yes. But they don’t want you to know they are coming. They are vessels of God who will lead prayer with true passion and power.

Join me and many others in the heart of Fresno, which is in the heart of California. Let’s present ourselves to Jesus and ask for revival—heaven-sent revival.  Let’s put doubt, fear, and apathy aside and stand as one, before God, with only one purpose, to implore Him to have mercy on California! Let’s come together to pray the prayers that God hears and answers!

Come to Chukchansi Stadium in Fresno, CA, on Sunday Night, October 20th.  We start at 6 P.M.  All seats are free. We will raise our cry to the heavens in a way you have never experienced before!

Come with me to see a miracle in California.

Come with me and see a miracle happen to California. You may be one of those chosen by God to work alongside us in the Central Valley. You may just be a believer who understands what is at stake in California. Read the story that is not just unfolding in the Golden State but is specific to 4 major events coming soon!

Not long ago, five cities in the Central Valley made the list of the Top Ten Worst Cities in America.

Why I believe a miracle is coming:

The good people of this region have been hit by everything you can imagine, including drought, foreclosures, drug addiction, gang violence, massive homelessness, and breathtaking political abuse by Sacramento.

When California received $410 million in 2012 as part of a nationwide settlement with major banks accused of abusive foreclosures, Gov. Jerry Brown used $331 million of that money to pay state agencies in housing and other programs in order to cover their deficits.  Kamala Harris knew about this but kept silent. Now California has lost a lawsuit, and this money must be paid out to the victims.

The Central Valley was not even on my radar. Five years ago my bags were packed to move out of California. I was moving away and thinking, “Maybe it is time to pass the mantle on to someone else, and retire.” Then my nation went crazy.

That is when the dream was given to me—a life changing dream.

The dream happened during an afternoon nap between services in Stockton. I believe that this dream was meant to encourage the people of that city. Especially because of what was in the dream.

It was the kind of dream that I tell people they need to handle with caution. In the dream I was suspended high above California, and I could clearly see Highway 99, all the way from Red Bluff to the end of 99 at Laval Road in Arvin, California.

Suddenly, as I watched, Highway 99 was transformed and became a river! Trees started popping up on the banks of the river. The voice of the Lord said, “This highway shall be a corridor of my Glory.”

Five years pass, and I am invited on the TruNews Network with Rick Wiles. Next thing I know, he has donated an 8,000 square foot, brand spanking new tent, as well as 1,000 chairs from the luxury boxes of an NFL stadium. What a miracle!

God then revealed to me that this tent was to move south and follow Highway 99, and that the river I had seen would flow in the tent, healing innumerable sicknesses and would bring in a massive harvest of souls.

Now, here we are—watching the fulfillment of that dream. Indeed, the river has flowed south from Marysville, CA, then through Paradise, CA and the current intensified in Stockton. Now we are watching the unimaginable as the river is about to reach to Dinuba, Hanford and Fresno.

As I write this to you, thousands of people are experiencing an amazing dealing of God in these cities. There is something in the air—it is vibrating with hope and faith.

People like to use the expression: ‘something has shifted,’ but that feels woefully inadequate to explain the unity that is emerging among leaders—the expectancy in the people—and the acceleration that seems to be coming.

With all my heart, I know we are about to hit the mean streets in these cities and pull treasures out of darkness. We are about to feed the masses of poor and unsheltered.

Nothing will be able to stop the explosion of praise that will erupt when the miracles, that I know are coming, arrive.

Why am I telling you this? In order to fulfill this dream, we need workers. Why not join in something so wonderful that if Jesus tarries, people will be talking about it 30 years from now?

Many people have asked me, “What kind of workers do you need?” My question back to you is, “What do you want to do? Do you want to hit the streets and watch gangsters delivered? Do you want to help organize a statewide night of prayer in Chukchansi stadium? Do you want to be an usher in any of the services? Do you want to pray with those who come to Jesus?

“Do you want distribute food and clothing in homeless camps? What about helping with our massive children’s outreach in Fresno in November? Are you willing to give up your Thanksgiving Day?”  On that day, we will conduct a complete miracle service, followed by a sit-down dinner for a thousand people.

If you come to the Night of Miracles in Hanford, you will see the true fire and miracles of Jesus. If you come to six nights under the tent in Dinuba, you will see God rock an entire city. If you join the thousands at Chukchansi Stadium, you will feel the power of prayer like you have never felt it in your life.

Start by praying. Even if you are reading this from Wellington, New Zealand, the Gold Coast of Australia, or even Cape Town, South Africa, you can pray! Start now.

I promise you, a river of life will end up flowing out to you!
