Do this one thing and you will not fear the New Year.

New Year blog

Do this now and you will not fear the New Year.

You must do one thing today. If you do it, you will not fear the New Year–guaranteed.

However, don’t fool yourself.  2016 looks dangerous and the last thing you need is Pollyanna advice.  So start by separating the wheat from the chaff.

On one hand, it would be a terrible mistake for you to sit back and let 2016 happen because you feel spiritually entitled.  Don’t abuse the phrase “it’s all in God’s hands” to justify inaction.  When something is truly in God’s hands, He speaks and directs.  To ignore that direction is to wrest your safety back from God’s hand.

On the other hand, it is worse to fear the New Year so deeply that you over plan and leave no room for God to work.

So what is the one thing that we must do?  For the truth that I am about to relate to stick, you must first see the towering importance of this simple statement:  There is nothing more important to you and those you love than victory over a specific contamination that comes at us from American culture.   That contamination is that we live in a culture of liars.

Lying, cheating and deceiving for the “greater good” is now so deeply ingrained in our culture that an entire generation may not know what an unselfish motive looks like.

Nothing has ruined us more both inside and outside the church than our hidden agendas.  We assume that the voices we hear today are lying: civil rights leaders do not care about black people, feminists do not care about women and ministers do not care about the Word of God.  They say they care but we know when they do not.

Lying is the virus and cynicism is the sickness.   Cynicism places our emotions under a wicked siege of distrust, defensiveness and dread.  It puts us into a whirlpool of stress and confusion until our mind spins and our body shuts down.   What good are we to anyone in this condition?

The one thing that you must do is to find your golden motive.  There is no treasure that we seek both as individuals and a nation that is more precious than a right motive.

It is time for a fresh definition of FAITH:   Faith is now the supernatural conviction that if I have a pure heart in a time when a pure heart is deemed to be a grave handicap, God will reward me in all areas of my life.

I located hundreds of benefits of a pure heart in the Bible.  There is not a single area of our lives that will not be blessed by having a golden motive. I saw where it heals our body, pays our bills, causes disaster to go around us, grants wisdom for the most complicated problems and even makes our enemies to be at peace with us.

With so many clear promises in the Bible for those who have a pure heart it was hard to find just one that really drove the point home.  Here is my choice:

Psalm 24:3 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

Men and women of God hear these words: “These free men will serve God and mankind from motives too high to be understood by the rank and file of religious retainers who today shuttle in and out of the sanctuary.  The will make no decisions out of fear, take no course out of a desire to please, accept no service for financial considerations, perform no religious act out of mere custom; nor will they allow themselves to be influenced by the love of publicity or the desire for reputation.” – A.W. Tozer

The greatest armor you will wear against evil in the New Year is your motive going into the New Year.  If you charge forward determined to live truthfully in an age of liars, God will overtake you with wisdom, safety, favor and abundance.   It is simple:  God will grant you great things because you can be trusted with great things.   HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I need you to own this opportunity to save our nation

I need you to own this opportunity to save our nation

By Mario Murillo

If there was an opportunity to restore America and leave one nation under God  for our children and our grandchildren would you take that opportunity?

But how can we imagine any opportunity while we watch the nation go up in flames?  We are engulfed in lawlessness, racial hatred, and decadence. Images of rioting and looting cover the nation.  Instead of turning to God in our disaster our citizens casts Him away.  Our elected officials squander precious time obsessed by things that do not matter.

How can we imagine any opportunity while Christian leaders are throwing their hands up saying that it is impossible to rescue America?  Some even employ Bible prophecy to insist that America must be destroyed so we can have an antichrist, one world government, and hence the Second Coming of Christ.

Blinded and choked by the smoke of chaos outside the church and by defeatism inside the church how can anyone see any opportunity?

But what if there was a glimmer of hope?  What if in all the twisted rubble there was a chance to make a real difference?   What if there was something we could do?

At this point, I am not even asking you to imagine a solution for America.  I am asking “if there was a real opportunity, would you take it?”

Not long ago I returned from a ministry trip.  I opened my front door, and dropped my luggage.  I became keenly aware that I had just done something for the very last time in my life.

There was something that I could never do again and I will never do it again…to do it again will at best shorten my life and at worse, it will take my like.  Never again could I be a part of a regular church meeting.

In that moment, everything I had ever done for Christ was being lumped into one seed and was about to be put in the ground to die. From that point on, Mario Murillo Ministries had to become an unimpaired vessel of healing to the nation.  Whatever personal sacrifice that it would require and whatever rejection it might bring became irrelevant.

Los Banos 3

Now I had to let God expose these false assumptions:

America cannot be saved.  Joel 2: 13, 14 say, “So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him?”

The words “Who knows” jumped out at me!  Since God relents from doing harm who are you and who am I to say America is finished?  Who knows but God?

When the disciples wanted destruction Jesus rebuked them.  Luke 9: 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.”

Habakkuk “3:2 shows us how to pray; “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”  We should be trying for mercy not destruction!

suicide

Americans are too sophisticated to sit and hear the Gospel.  Yes, this is the most complicated and easily offended culture ever.  It is virtually impossible to even know what to say to them.  However, we have no excuse because Jesus Himself promised in Luke 21: 15 “I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.”

James 1:5 promises us we can ask for that wisdom, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

I asked and I received wisdom!  That is part of the great opportunity that I want you to own.

Mario Murillo Ministries cannot stay where it has been.  It is time for us to make radical changes because the crisis demands it and God has ordered it.

When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity.  Here is our danger and our opportunity.

Our danger: Mario Murillo Ministries is in danger of losing its life if we remain where we are at this time.  America is too far gone for regular meetings in regular places.  We are too far gone to have any more regular meetings in regular places.  What is killing us is threefold:

  1. Limiting our outreaches to church buildings. This has never been a good way for a soul winning ministry to change a nation. To continue to do this will only break my spirit and ultimately take my life.  For my family’s sake I refuse to do this anymore. The only time that I feel healthy is when I walk out of a meeting where the masses have been saved and healed.
  2. Interrupting our invasions at key moments because we have to go back to churches for needed offerings. To make a meaningful dent into this present darkness we must have an uninterrupted flow of supernatural outreach.  In short, our ministry must turn into a movement and the only way to do that is to let momentum build in city after city.
  3. We have not had a chance to show what our team can really do. We want unchurched audiences to experience our event done our way. We must be the creative force behind every moment of a Living Proof Event.

The public should not be forced to choose between Christian events that are either frozen or freaky.  There is no rule that says a soul winning event should be a boring, powerless, apology tour that blunts the gifts of the Spirit.  On the other hand, there is no excuse for a hyper emotional meltdown that blesses self-indulgent believers but leaves outsiders rolling their eyes.

living proof flag

Why can’t we have order and freedom? In describing manifestations of the Holy Spirit Paul said “Let all things be done decently and in order.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40.

Likewise, we believe that worship music does not have to be a carnal concert or mindless repetition.  Let music be anointed to touch the hearts of outsiders.

We are finally in a position to be able to present to the unchurched public a very unique kind of experience in our meetings.  It has taken years to get here but God has done it!

We need a onetime infusion of money that will release us to finally and fully present Living Proof to America. I am asking for $100,000.  It is not a random amount it is a prayerfully discerned amount.  It represents a gift that will take us to the level where we can attack without interruption and present the Gospel without restriction.

This is not a lot of money in today’s world.  In many organizations this would not make a dent but with this gift we can launch a full scale attack.

Mario Murillo Ministries is in a life and death situation.  We have already shut down business as usual.  We are going to change our ministry even before the money gets here. We cannot wait until it is affordable to win America, we are going now.

If just 200 people responded to this letter we can meet our goal.  I have prayed for people to be moved to give a onetime gift in these 5 amounts:  $5,000, $2500, $1,000, $500, and $250.

I am so certain that those core of partners are about to change our ministry forever that I am planning a commemorative wall of honor to inscribe the names of those who gave at this critical moment in our history.  You can put your name or the name of someone you love on a wall that will always be remembered as the heroes who carried us into our future.

Let me say one last thing to you.

Every day something good about America is erased.  It is going to take more than cozy talks to reverse our moral avalanche.  The sickness of our nation calls for something unlike anything we have seen so far.

We cannot keep doing what we are doing…that is the inescapable truth.  When it comes to Satan in America, the Church must quit taking a dull knife to a gun fight.

Here is an important point: Any ministry that operates without the weapons of the Holy Spirit is just spinning its wheels.  Nothing can stand against the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

own copy

Would you please consider giving a thousand dollars?  Maybe you are that one person who would give a $5,000 gift because God restored your finances and blessed you abundantly.  Maybe $250 is a big step of faith for you but is one that you want to take.

We are calling gifts of $5,000, $1,000, $500, or $250 FOUNDER’S GIFTS because they are laying the foundation for our greatest outreaches ever. We will inscribe their name or the name of a loved one on our Wall of Remembrance and Honor. But remember, no matter what you give it will take us toward our goal of $100,000.

Maybe you meant to give more to the Gospel this year but did not get around to it.  By clicking below you will be directed to our donation page and if you give by this Thursday it can be credited to your 2014 income taxes.

Holder and Obama are making race relations worse, inflaming hatred

Holder and Obama are making race relations worse, inflaming hatred

Attorney General Eric Holder insisted to MSNBC earlier this month that “we are in a better place than we were before” in race relations since Barack Obama was elected president. The president doubled down in an interview with NPR last week. Asked if race relations were worse since he took office, he said, “No, I actually think that it’s probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided.”But that’s not what the American people see.

A Pew Research Center poll found that only 40% of Americans approve of the way Obama is handling race relations. Black approval is down to 57%, while approval among whites is down to 33%.More young people under age 30, the age group who were most enthusiastic about electing the nation’s first African-American president, now disapprove of his performance on racial issues than approve. And Eric Holder has one of the lowest approval ratings of any public official.Law-enforcement officials are appalled at the way the Obama administration exploited tragedies in Ferguson, Mo., and New York City to appeal to its political base. David Clarke, a Democrat who is the African-American sheriff of Milwaukee, doesn’t mince his words.“The thing that disappoints me the most is some very powerful people in this country — the president of the United States, Attorney General Eric Holder and Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York — have created a pathway that contributes to an unjustifiable hatred of law enforcement officers across the country,” he told WMAL radio in Washington, DC. “They trashed an entire profession with a broad brush because it was politically expedient for them to do so.”

Civil rights activist Al Sharpton speaks at the National Action Network in Harlem, New York
Holder, who thinks we are “a nation of cowards” on race, has infused the Justice Department with the “racial justice” movement that falsely argues the police “subconsciously” discriminate through the use of “disproportionate” means such as traffic stops. It has forced 15 cities into consent decrees to end such practices, for which it has almost no evidence.Take Seattle, where Justice claimed that “Biased policing is not primarily about the ill-intentioned officer but rather the officer who engages in discriminatory practices subconsciously,” adding that even a well-meaning cop can violate the civil rights of black suspects by operating “on implicit biases that impact that officer’s behavior or perceptions.”Even though DOJ admitted it couldn’t verify the supposed bias, in 2012 it ordered Seattle to weaken its use-of-force rules while disciplining officers engaged in “implicit bias.”

A lawsuit by Seattle police officers against Justice charges that the new policies have led to “hesitation and paralysis” in officers being able to carry out their duty to protect the public from criminals. The suit notes that crime rates have climbed in Seattle — with aggravated assaults up 14%, car theft up 44% and murders up 21%. It is those trends that should scare New Yorkers about the Obama-Holder approach to law enforcement.

Even honest liberals agree that Holder’s Justice Department has been confrontational and polarizing. Juan Williams of Fox News, the author of “Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years,” laments that “the Justice Department has devolved into the heart of Washington darkness, the absolute pit of modern political polarization in my lifetime.”

One reason for that is that, thanks to direct support from Holder and Obama, Al Sharpton has now become the nation’s leading civil-rights leader. Far from becoming the “refined agitator” his apologists now claim him to be, Sharpton is the same racial charlatan and rabble-rouser of the past using slightly new tricks.

Sheriff Clarke says the Obama administration set a pattern early on that it would ignore bad behavior and bad actors if it suited their political purposes and their warped racial ideology.

King-Samir-Shabazz_thumb copy

In 2009, it dropped charges against the New Black Panther Party for intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place because the defendants were black. In 2013, the Inspector General of the Justice Department filed a report criticizing its Civil Rights Division for allowing the harassing and bullying of conservative employees. No disciplinary action was taken. And Holder has filled the ranks of the office at DOJ responsible for policing the police with radical lawyers hostile to law enforcement.

In 2013, a federal judge ordered a new trial for five New Orleans police officers convicted of a shooting during Hurricane Katrina because of “grotesque prosecutorial abuse.” Judge Kurt Engelhard slammed the “skullduggery” and “perfidy” of Justice Department prosecutors in engaging in a PR campaign to inflame public opinion and sway the jury through anonymous postings on a newspaper website. The judge suggested that Holder “seriously consider appointment of an independent counsel” to investigate the scandal. Holder has ignored the judge’s recommendation and instead recently moved to have the judge removed from the case.

For Sheriff Clarke, all of this fits into a pattern. “I think these two [President Obama and Attorney General Holder] have indicated their dislike of the police even if it’s in coded language.” He notes that in the wake of the killing of two cops last weekend in New York, Mayor de Blasio and others are now issuing “contrite statements about how they respect and admire our law enforcement officers. I think it’s hollow. I don’t accept it.”

Since President Obama took office, “racial justice” ideology has been allowed to trump common sense. Saying we “are in a better place” when it comes to race relations may be true for the Al Sharptons of the world but not for ordinary Americans.

What It Means To Be a Policeman

Police

As a part of our tribute to Police men and women everywhere we present this timeless video of Paul Harvey.

Mario Murillo Ministries dedicates this Christmas blog to the brave men and women in law enforcement.  Many of you will be unable to be with your family on Christmas because you will be on duty protecting our families.  You work long hours and receive very little thanks for the amazingly important job that you do. For that and a million other reasons we want to thank you and tell you that we will stand with you this Christmas and all year long.

We also pray for the families of those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.  No words that any man can say will truly be able to comfort you.  Only God can do that.  We pray that the great comforter, the Holy Spirit will bring you special peace in your soul.  Again, God bless you all.

I am so grateful for the hundreds of thousands of God’s people who regularly read this blog. Take a moment and write a comment or a prayer for our heroes, our finest and their families.  People from all over the world will be able to see your comments and prayers.   God bless you and Merry Christmas.

After NYC Deaths, a Surge of Support for Police

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi donned a New York Police Department T-shirt on stage. Well-wishers delivered home-baked cookies by the hundreds to police in Cincinnati. In Mooresville, North Carolina, police and sheriff’s officers were treated by residents to a chili dinner.

At a time when many in the nation’s police community feel embattled, Americans in cities and towns across the country are making an effort to express support and gratitude.

“I’m showing a little solidarity for my brothers in the NYPD and all of those who protect and serve us every day,” Bon Jovi told a cheering crowd at his concert Monday in Red Bank, New Jersey.

The surge of support is linked to two distinct but overlapping developments.

The immediate catalyst was the killings of two New York City police officers as they sat in their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday. For many of those making appreciative gestures, there also was a desire to counter the widespread protests ? steeped with criticism of police ? that followed grand jury decisions not to charge white officers for their roles in the deaths of black men Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and Eric Garner in New York.

Becky Grizovic, of Walton, Kentucky, helps orchestrate a campaign called Cookies for a Cop that provides treats to officers in more than 200 departments in 23 states. She was joined by her husband, son and a neighbor in delivering cookies to Cincinnati police stations on Monday.

At the District 2 station house, Capt. Jeffrey Butler said the gesture was especially appreciated in light of the deaths of the two officers in New York.

“The reason that this started is that I’ve just been so disheartened by the news,” Grizovic said in a phone interview. “I wanted to do something positive to lift their spirits because this is so hard on all of them.”

Rallies and vigils in support of police have taken place recently in several locations, including Nashville, Tennessee; West Orange, New Jersey; Annapolis, Maryland, and New York City’s Riverdale neighborhood.

Among those gathering Monday night in Nashville was Merri Puckett, a retired police officer.

“The police are really taking a hard hit right now,” she told The Tennessean newspaper. “Ninety-nine percent of the officers out there are doing a good job, and it’s a thankless job and they need to know that the public supports them.”

In Minden, Nevada, there was a one-man rally in support of local officers.

John Munk, a retired sheriff’s deputy, stood in front of the post office with a sign reading, “God Bless Law Enforcement.”

“It’s disheartening how people are treating law enforcement across the country,” Munk told the Record-Courier of nearby Gardnerville. “I wanted to do this to show what a great community we have here.”

Another former officer, Rick Goforth, was the chef and organizer for Monday night’s dinner in Mooresville, North Carolina, for which he served up 30 quarts of chili.

“I told the chief … loosen your gun belt, man,” Goforth joked with a reporter from Charlotte’s WCNC-TV.

The police chief, Carl Robbins, said it’s been a difficult time for officers, particularly after the two deaths in New York.

In New York’s bustling Times Square, several officers reported that people on the street were shouting out words of encouragement ? a sound they weren’t hearing before the weekend killings.

“It’s uplifting,” said one officer, who ? under NYPD rules ? was not supposed to do media interviews while on street duty.

Grief knows no color:  Preaching peace on earth and goodwill toward men during a race war.

By Mario Murillo

Matthew 2: 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. 17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: 18 “A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more.”

Grief knows no color.  Just ask the wives and mothers of those who have been slain.  They do not care about politicians, race hustlers or racists.  All they know is that someone irreplaceable has been ripped from them.  All they feel is a grief that cannot be cried out our solaced by any human cure.

As surely as Herod ordered the death of baby boys in Bethlehem Satan has ordered the deaths of young black men and police officers in America.  After he has done his dirty work the devil sits back and laughs at how we choose sides and ignore him altogether.

The best way, the fastest way and the only way to destroy America is set herself against herself in ravenous hate…hate that will eat us up alive, hate that will blind us to the one thing we should be doing right now.

Why is all of this happening near Christmas?  To discredit its power and to seal our doom by cutting us off from the only hope we have.

Satan mocks Christmas!  “Hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men”.    These words from the Christmas Carol “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” is  based on the 1863 poem “Christmas Bells” by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.  The song tells of the narrator’s despair, upon hearing Christmas bells that “hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men”.

Hate starts by hating God.   Hatred of God is essential for evil to prevail.   We have elected leaders who hate God.  We have exalted celebrities that hate God.  Cultural elites tell us that those who believe in God are mentally inferior.  We were ordered to leave God out of virtually everything.  Our children cannot even mention Him in school!

So what has our national crusade to abolish God done for us?  It takes courage to declare the truth. There is an unambiguous correlation between our misery and our lack of God.  To the degree that we have moved away from Him is the exact degree that we have moved away from peace, joy and goodwill.

King Hezekiah had that courage!  2 Chronicles 29: 6 “For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the eyes of the Lord our God; they have forsaken Him, have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the Lord, and turned their backs on Him. 7 They have also shut up the doors of the vestibule, put out the lamps, and have not burned incense or offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel. 8 Therefore the wrath of the Lord fell upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has given them up to trouble, to desolation, and to jeering, as you see with your eyes. 9 For indeed, because of this our fathers have fallen by the sword; and our sons, our daughters, and our wives are in captivity.”

How can you miss the eerie comparison to America in those verses? WE ARE IN TROUBLE.  WE ARE DESOLATE.  WE ARE JEERED BY THE WORLD.  OUR SONS AND FATHERS ARE BEING KILLED.  OUR PEOPLE ARE TAKEN INTO CAPTIVITY TO DRUGS AND PERVERSION! OUR INHERITANCE IS BEING GIVEN TO STRANGERS.

Many ministers may feel that they are at a loss of words this Christmas. “I don’t know what to preach on in such a time of hatred, division and chaos.”   How is that possible Pastor?  How can you not know what to thunder from your pulpit this Christmas?

Stand before the people like King Hezekiah.  Offer dynamic hope!  Hezekiah said in verse 10, “Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the Lord God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.”  Lead your people into a covenant with God to save America!

If America repents of her sin and repudiates the God haters, God’s wrath will turn away from us.  Do not be shy or vague and do not fear that man will reject you.  You are not on this earth at this time to compromise or draw back.

Let every believer who reads this repent before God and seek His mercy.  Truly judgment must begin at the house of God.  I know that a shocking turn toward the better awaits us if we sincerely fall before God in unrestrained humility and confess our great sin to Him.

The days of murder in Bethlehem gave way to the voice of John the Baptist crying in the wilderness.  This voice was then overshadowed by the golden words of Jesus of Nazareth who had the Holy Ghost without measure.  He destroyed the works of Satan on all levels from poverty to disease to hatred.

To return to that work and to see that work repeated in our day must be the unrestrained passion of every minister and the hope of every believer. Our day of race baiters, God haters and Bible traitors can melt before national revival if God’s generals and soldiers return to their first love.

Will Satan win against the message of Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward men?  The Christmas carol ended with these words:

“Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: “God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, With peace on earth, good will to men.”

Joe Scarborough: “Avalanche Of Hate Speech” Against Cops Inspired Killer

joe copy

JOE SCARBOROUGH, MORNING JOE: Sadly, these assassinations were too predictable. We’ve seen many protesting the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. We’ve heard them chanting black lives matter. Of course they do. This weekend, we heard supporters of the NYPD responding to these assassinations with the hashtag #copslivesmatter. And they of course do to all of us.

The tragic consequences of the past few months should remind everyone on both sides that in the end, words matter the most. I say that because the cop killer’s hatred was fueled by an avalanche of hate speech that was directed at law enforcement officers in general over the past four months.

To listen to protesters, editors and left wing talking heads go on and on since the shooting of Michael Brown, you would be led to believe that white police officers were randomly driving through black neighborhoods searching for young black males to shoot down. And despite my own views that America’s criminal justice system is too unfair to young black males, and I have said it repeatedly for decades, I was blasted on social media as a racist for calling out the St. Louis Rams players. And United States Congressmen for recklessly promoting the phrase “hands up, don’t shoot.”

I was worried in real time for good reason that using those inflammatory words told anybody listening to them that Michael Brown was gunned down by a white cop while his hands were raised in surrender. I was angered at the inflammatory phrase and warned that using a phrase that the grand jury itself reported was never used, slander SL cops and would make the situation worse for cops across America, and it did. Why? Because words matter. Words matter. I was worried after the tragic shooting, it was such a tragic shooting in Cleveland…

cops who were shot

That the New York Times putting up a caption that read “police kill child with toy” again painted police officers as beasts. And it also conveniently ignored 911 calls that those cops got from concerned residents saying a suspect was waving a gun around, pointing it at park visitors, and, quote, scaring the hell out of them.

Words matter. The looting and the rioting in Ferguson were so bad that man of us, many of us congratulated New York protesters for remaining mostly peaceful while overlooking ugly words. Ugly elements of those marches, those marches in New York, show just how much hatred against police officers has been stirred up over the past four months of constant anti-police propaganda online and newspapers and, yes, on cable news.

Giuliani condemns anti-police ‘propaganda’ he says Obama started

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is condemning President Barack Obama for anti-police “propaganda” in the wake of the murders of two New York City police officers in Brooklyn.

When asked on “Fox News Sunday” if he had ever seen the city he once governed so divided, Giuliani shook his head and said, “I don’t think so.”

Giuliani said blame rests on “four months of propaganda,” which he said started with Obama, “that everybody should hate the police.” He said the nationwide protests against several recent police-involved deaths lead to one conclusion: “The police are bad. The police are racist. They’re wrong.”

Police, Giuliani said, are “the people who do the most for the black people in America, in New York City and elsewhere.”

On Sunday, Obama spoke out against the killing of the police officers Saturday, saying there is no justification for the slayings.

“The officers who serve and protect our communities risk their own safety for ours every single day — and they deserve our respect and gratitude every single day,” Obama said in a statement. “I ask people to reject violence and words that harm, and turn to words that heal — prayer, patient dialogue, and sympathy for the friends and family of the fallen.”

Guiliani recently made controversial remarks about black-on-black crime on “Fox & Friends” that vaulted him into the national spotlight.

While arguing with Georgetown University sociology professor Michael Eric Dyson about black-on-black crime, he said he “probably saved more black lives as mayor of New York City than any mayor in the history of the city” and that “93 percent of blacks are killed by other blacks.”

Plenty of blood and blame to go around: Obama’s remarks about racism and his insistence that Islam is a religion of peace, Mayor Bill De Blasio’s anti police rhetoric, Al Sharpton’s race baiting have all led to ongoing escalation of violence in America.

Cops tell de Blasio: Stay away from our funerals

Not over their dead bodies.

Cops are warning Mayor de Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito to stay away from their funerals should they be killed in the line of duty. The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association distributed a flier to members, blaring: “DON’T LET THEM INSULT YOUR SACRIFICE!” Cops were encouraged to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver to ban the cop-bashing pols from their funerals.“I, as a New York City police officer, request that Mayor Bill de Blasio and City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito refrain from attending my funeral services in the event that I am killed in the line of duty,” the waiver states.

“Due to Mayor de Blasio and Speaker Mark-Viverito’s consistent refusal to show police officers the support and respect they deserve, I believe that their attendance at the funeral of a fallen New York City police officer is an insult to that officer’s memory and sacrifice.”

Officers can download the form on the PBA’s Web site and drop off a signed copy to their PBA delegates.

The mayor traditionally attends funerals for fallen officers.

“This is deeply disappointing,” the mayor and the council speaker said in a joint statement.

I, AS A NEW YORK CITY POLICE OFFICER, REQUEST THAT MAYOR BILL DE BLASIO… REFRAIN FROM ATTENDING MY FUNERAL SERVICES IN THE EVENT THAT I AM KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY.

“Incendiary rhetoric like this serves only to divide the city, and New Yorkers reject these tactics.“The mayor and the speaker both know better than to think this inappropriate stunt represents the views of the majority of police officers and their families.”

Sources say the revolt was sparked by the mayor’s lack of support for the NYPD following the grand jury’s decision not to indict the officer involved in the death of Staten Islander Eric Garner.

De Blasio added fuel to that fire in a press conference about the grand-jury vote where he said he had warned his 17-year-old, mixed-race son, Dante, to be careful around police officers.

“We’ve had to literally train him, as families have all over this city for decades, in how to take special care in any encounter he has with the police officers who are there to protect him,” the mayor said.

PBA President Patrick Lynch reacted to that by accusing the mayor of throwing cops “under the bus.”

The Post reported that amid protests on the Garner verdict, a “Pro-Cop Rally” at City Hall is being planned for next Friday

The Senate rejected President Obama’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division on Wednesday in a stunning 47-52 vote in which seven Democrats abandoned their leadership.

The vote was all the more remarkable for the five Democrats in tough reelection races this year who voted in vain to move Debo Adegbile’s nomination forward.

The vote was a stinging defeat for the White House that showed President Obama is politically out of step with some centrist Democrats heading into the midterm elections.

Obama labeled the vote a “travesty” based on “wildly unfair” character attacks.

“Mr. Adegbile’s qualifications are impeccable. He represents the best of the legal profession, with wide-ranging experience, and the deep respect of those with whom he has worked,” Obama said. “As a lawyer, Mr. Adegbile has played by the rules. And now, Washington politics have used the rules against him.”

Adegbile was the director of litigation for the NAACP Legal Defense Fund when it worked to commute Abu-Jamal’s death sentence. Faulkner’s widow, the Fraternal Order of Police and Republicans argued this should disqualify him from the Justice job, while supporters warned a rejection would set the ominous precedent of holding a lawyer accountable for a client’s behavior.

Democratic Sens. Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), Joe Manchin (W.Va.), Mark Pryor (Ark.), Joe Donnelly (Ind.), John Walsh (Mont.), Chris Coons (Del.) and Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.) voted to block Adegbile, while several Democrats in tough reelection races, including Sens. Kay Hagan (N.C.), Mary Landrieu (La.) and Mark Begich (Alaska), voted to advance him.

Every Republican voted against the nomination, forcing Reid to secure the support of at least 50 members of his 55-person caucus. Vice President Biden presided over the vote and would have been available to break a tie, but his vote was not needed.

It was the first time a nomination has gone down since Democrats changed the Senate’s filibuster rules to require simple majority votes on many procedural motions.

The Republican National Committee immediately pounced, highlighting the votes by Hagan, Landrieu and Begich.

“Vulnerable Democrats running in 2014 just voted to confirm a radical nominee whose positions on civil rights, religious liberty, voting rights and the second amendment are far outside the mainstream,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) insisted the vote was not a sign that Obama is losing support among Senate Democrats.

“The vast majority of Democrats voted to confirm him so I don’t think it says anything about the president,” said Reid, who switched his vote from “yes” to “no” in a procedural move that allows him to bring the nomination up again for a future vote.

Reid argued that Adegbile was being smeared by charges of guilt by association. The Democratic leader noted that as a young lawyer, he himself represented unsavory characters pro bono.

Democratic leaders immediately faced questions about whether it was wise to schedule a vote without knowing for certain the nominee could attract enough support.

“These 2014 Democrats can’t be happy with their leadership over the Adegbile vote. They all walked the plank while others got to vote ‘no,’ ” said a Senate GOP leadership aide.

A senior Democratic leadership aide said the White House and Adegbile were informed that he might fall short of the 50 votes needed to advance his nomination but both wanted to roll the dice and proceed.

The aide said Reid had little choice about whether to schedule the vote or not, arguing that floor action was inevitable once Obama made the pick because the assistant attorney general in charge of Justice’s civil rights division is such a high-profile position.

“There’s no scenario in which we would not come up for a vote,” said the aide. “That decision was made when he was nominated.

“We don’t avoid tough votes,” the aide added.

Abu-Jamal has long been a cause célèbre in leftist political circles who argue his case exposed racism in the criminal justice system — he even has a street named after him in Paris. But Republicans say he was an unrepentant cop killer and noted there was overwhelming evidence he shot and killed Faulkner at point-blank range.

GOP senators claimed Adegbile’s record of “left-wing advocacy” would further politicize the Justice Department.

The choice of Adegbile split civil rights and law enforcement groups and put Democrats in an awkward position of having to pick a side.

“It was a tough one because you had the NAACP on one side and police officers on the other so people voted the best they could given the circumstances,” said Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), who voted for Adegbile.

The votes by Casey and Coons were notable but not entirely surprising given the attention Abu-Jamal’s conviction received in that are of the country.

Casey said the officer’s “vicious murder” more than 30 years ago has “left open wounds” for Philadelphia.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Adegbile’s nomination was a “thumb in the eye of our law enforcement officers.”

“The nominee inserted his office in an effort to turn reality on its head, impugn honorable and selfless law enforcement officers, and glorify an unrepentant cop killer,” McConnell said in a statement. “This is not required by our legal system. On the contrary, it is noxious to it.”
