First American Tyranny: We’re Cool With That

By Tadd Cronn

Why President Obama hasn’t been physically dragged out of office at this point is one of those questions that will likely remain a mystery.

In case you missed it, Obama this week declared to his Cabinet that if Congress doesn’t do what he wants it to do, he will simply use executive orders to create and enforce any law he chooses.  Based on the silence from my many liberal acquaintances, the response to Obama from the Left is “so what?”

Obama repeated his declaration to the Democratic members of Congress, who then walked out of the meeting without talking to reporters.  Again, silence. Did Obama talk too fast?  Was he not speaking clearly?

For my hard-headed friends on the Left, let’s review: The president of the United States just declared that Congress is null and void as far as he’s concerned.  Except for the fact that Congress will continue to burn through money like a hot knife through butter, and absent a formal declaration of dissolution, the Legislative Branch has effectively ceased to exist. It’s still there in the sense that it occupies space, but that’s it.

DIRTY DISHES

Obama is acting like Jack Nicholson in “Mars Attacks”: “I want the people to know that they still have two out of three branches of the government working for them, and that ain’t bad” Except the invader here isn’t from another planet… or even another country.  We’ve just witnessed a home-grown coup (And one that many of us saw coming even before Obama’s first presidential victory.)

We are now living — officially — in a dictatorship.  So where’s the outrage?  Is Twitter so fascinating that you just can’t be bothered?  Grumpy Cat got your tongue?  Bill Maher didn’t make fun of it, so it hasn’t happened?  Is it the fluoride in the water?  Is it the legalized pot?  Or is it that after years of dumbing down public education, we are simply too stupid to realize what just happened?

Another review for the Left: The government derives its authority from the people.  The Constitution is the contract that limits and defines what the government can do.  The president under the contract is supposed to work with Congress and enforce the laws that Congress passes. President Obama has just said he will not follow that contract he has with the people.  He has broken the contract.  No Constitution, no presidency.

Businessman with Tape over Mouth

So if Obama, despite breaking his contract, continues to accept and enjoy all the perks of the president’s office while failing to honor his obligations that makes him something else other than the president.  Now, what are you going to do about it?

I used to wonder how millions of Germans could allow a dictator to come to power.  We are now demonstrating exactly how it happens.

Obamacare ‘navigator’ in Kansas has outstanding arrest warrant

A woman with an outstanding warrant for her arrest is currently serving as an Obamacare “navigator” in Lawrence, Kansas.

Rosilyn Wells — the Director of Outreach and Enrollment for the Heartland Community Health-care Center (HCHC) – is “the only full-time Affordable Care Act navigator in Lawrence,” according to the Lawrence Journal-World.

Wells was certified as an Obamacare navigator despite her financial history, which includes a bankruptcy in 2003, a 2007 civil charge from a local check cashing business called Midwest Checkrite for writing a bad check, and being more than $1700 behind on her state tax bill, and having an outstanding arrest warrant in nearby Shawnee County. Wells lives and works in Douglass County.

Reached by phone, The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office would not elaborate on the specific charges related to Wells’ arrest warrant.

Navigators are creations of the federal government and they are paid to work closely with consumers — and their personal information — to help them navigate the newly-created Obamacare exchanges.

The Obamacare navigator program has fallen under heavy criticism for its privacy pitfalls, with the House Oversight Committee issuing a report only two weeks ago which warned that navigators would not be properly vetted to protect consumers.

The report pointed out navigators would have access to all sorts of personal data.

“[T]he main concern for consumers is the heightened risk of identity theft and financial loss from a poorly managed outreach campaign,” the Oversight Committee report said. “Navigators and Assisters will come into contact with a plethora of personally identifiable information (PII), including an applicant’s Social Security number, date of birth and income, as well as the PII of everyone in an applicant’s household.”

The Obama administration’s decision not to require background checks for navigators compounds the privacy risks, the Oversight Committee wrote.

“In part, substantial risks remain because the Administration decided not to require background checks and fingerprinting of individuals hired by Navigator and Assister organizations,” the committee wrote. “Under the Administration’s plan, unless states have already taken actions to protect their citizens, Navigators and Assisters are not prohibited from hiring convicted felons, including individuals convicted of identity theft or fraud.”

President Obama’s pledges to open up the White House are going in reverse, says Mark McKinnon

Once, only nobles were granted an audience with the King.

In America, we’ve prided ourselves on abandoning those privileges of class some 237 years ago, following that little uprising in the 13 colonies.

And we again congratulated ourselves at 12:01 pm Eastern Time on January 20, 2009, just moments after Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States and as he committed to making his administration the most transparent and open in history.

But more than four years later it is time to ask questions. The most transparent administration ever? The most transparently political, yes. The most open government? If you have the money to buy access, yes.

Since last weekend, Mr and Mrs Regular Citizen have been denied the access people used to be granted to tour the White House, purportedly because of the clampdown on federal spending since the “sequester” that imposed cuts across the board.

And their cancellation is an austerity measure that saves a pittance, while more frivolous taxpayer funding for items like the White House dog walker continues.

Meanwhile, noble Americans can buy time with the president for a suggested donation of $500,000 to his new campaign group, Organising for Action.

Yes, the announcement offering access to the president for cold, hard cash was made openly and with total transparency. But it was also made without shame.

It’s the third version of Obama’s original monster campaign machine, Obama for America, which then morphed into a re-election campaign machine, Organising for America, on the third day of his first term.

It has now re-launched again as Organising for Action (OFA) – a non-profit, tax-exempt group headed by his former campaign advisers. Apparently no longer “for America”, the group might just as well be called Organising for Obama’s Agenda.

Its mission: to support the president in his attempt to achieve enactment of gun control, environmental policies and immigration reform.

At the two-day kick-off event last week for the new OFA’s founding summit, attended by 75 folks for the “bargain” rate of just $50,000, Obama at least acknowledged the concerns raised by others about the funding, purpose and influence of the organisation.

However, he brushed them aside. With greater humility than new Pope Francis, Obama said he prided himself on feeling no obligation in the past to the interests of the generous donors who made his election and re-election possible. Though paradoxically he also said he wanted “to make sure the voices of the people are actually heard in the debates that are going to be taking place”. So, he’ll take money to listen to the voices of the privileged, but not do their bidding?

May I humbly suggest he could hear more voices, more clearly if he mingled with the public he serves? Perhaps the White House could hold open tours for the public! Why has no one in his administration thought of that? And volunteers could manage those tours, to keep costs down!

But, of course, those are what have just been cancelled. Meanwhile, three calligraphers reportedly remain on staff. I suppose their services are needed for the special hand-lettered, gold-foiled invitations sent to the nobles who are willing to pay for an audience with the King.

OFA is a legal, tax-exempt advocacy organisation, established as a social welfare group under the rules of both the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Elections Commission. It can accept unlimited contributions, so long as it promotes the common good and does not primarily engage in electoral politics.

As it is not required to publicly disclose donors, OFA is actually one of those “shadowy” organisations Obama railed against as a candidate when he supported campaign finance reform.

In 2010 the Supreme Court made a controversial ruling known as Citizens United that allowed unlimited corporate and individual donations to so-called “super political action committees”, which at least have to disclose their donors, and to social welfare organisations, which do not.

At the time, Obama loudly criticised the decision, saying: “That’s one of the reasons I ran for president: because I believe so strongly that the voices of ordinary Americans were being drowned out by the clamour of a privileged few in Washington.”

But then he reversed course, giving his blessing to a super PAC supporting his 2012 re-election, and now to OFA. What has changed?

Obama is looking to his legacy. And his eye is on the 2014 Congressional elections. If he can maintain his appeal among the masses and help Democrats win back a majority in the House of Representatives, while maintaining control of the Senate, there will be no stopping his agenda.

He explained the “grassroots” purpose of OFA like this: “If you have a senator or a congressman in a swing district who is prepared to take a tough vote… I want to make sure they feel supported and they know there are constituencies of theirs that agree with them, even if they may be getting a lot of pushback in that district.”

Engaging voters is always a good thing. But the president should not charge for the privilege. If he will look out the Oval Office window beyond his own reflection, King Barack I will see the public he is meant to serve. He ought to invite them in.

Where is the outrage?

Where is the outrage?

Last Sunday night Trent Dilfer referring to the stupid call by replacement NFL referees in a game between Seattle and Green Bay said, “America, you should be outraged by this insult to your intelligence.” The fact is that America was outraged and forced an end to the strike by the regular referees.

However, when I heard Dilfer say we should be outraged I actually thought he was going to mention Obama.  What does it say about our nation can express more outrage over a blown call in football than over a hideous failure who has the power to destroy America’s future?

He lies again and again and escapes punishment.  He carries malice toward our nation and glories in bringing it down. I am certain that many nights he says to himself, “I can’t believe we are getting away with this.”

I am convinced that the most evil part of Obama is about to unfold.  I believe that if Obama does not win legally, he has plans to fix the election.  The media will complying by bending facts and censoring criticism. The government knows this that is why they are preparing for massive civil unrest.

I believe that Obama has come to the place where he is bold enough to do this because of the outrage he has avoided lately.  Here are the two most glaring examples:

Fact: On September 11, 2012, 4 American diplomats were killed by Al Qaeda and Obama lied about what he knew and when he knew it.  The weapons used, proved it was preplanned, and had nothing to do with a cheesy home movie about Islam.  Obama knew this attack was coming days in advance, missed vital intelligence briefings, and did not secure the embassy in Libya.

This blatant negligence, cover up and pandering to Islam is a crime that far exceeds Watergate, and yet no national outrage because of the media. They punish the opponents of Obama and blunt national outrage.  Obama can use this same propaganda machine to tamp down anger over his manipulation of election results.

Fact: There is compelling evidence that our government knows that massive civil unrest is coming right after the election.  A rash of solicitations by federal agencies for hollow point bullets in recent months has stoked fears that the government is preparing for civil unrest caused by a financial collapse on a scale similar or even larger to scenes already witnessed in Europe over the last two years.

The Social Security Administration is set to purchase 174,000 rounds of hollow point bullets that will be delivered to 41 locations across the country.  An online ammunition retailer describes the bullets as suitable “for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing hand loads in many guns,” noting that the ammo is “a great personal defense bullet.”

They expect Obama policies to collapse our economy.  Social security welfare is estimated to keep around 40 per cent of senior citizens out of poverty. Should the tap run dry in the aftermath of an economic collapse which the Federal Reserve has already told top banks to prepare for, domestic disorder could ensue if people are refused their benefits.

the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has put out a contract for 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets along with 500 paper targets.

Despite initially asking the bullets to be delivered to the National Weather Service, NOAA claimed this was a “clerical error” and insisted the ammunition was being sent to the Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement. Why powerful hollow point bullets that are designed to tear apart internal organs are needed for practice shooting at paper targets has not been explained.

Back in March, Homeland Security purchased 450 million rounds of .40-caliber hollow point bullets that are designed to expand upon entry and cause maximum organ damage, prompting questions as to why the DHS needed such a large amount of powerful bullets merely for training purposes.

Indeed, earlier this year the Department of Homeland Security ran a drill called Operation Shield which included turning the entrance of a Florida Social Security office into a checkpoint manned by Federal Protective Service officers armed with semiautomatic rifles.

The DHS also recently purchased a number of bullet-proof checkpoint booths that include ‘stop and go’ lights.

I am not abandoning my calling by writing this to you, I am fulfilling it.  You may ask me for an encouraging and some direction.  That will come later but right now  I have got to ask, where is the outrage?
