ITS NOT OKAY FOR YOU TO VOTE FOR BIDEN

Tré Goins-Phillips, who wrote an editorial for Faithwire entitled, “How you vote in November will not decide your salvation,” needs to be confronted.

I will provide the confrontation.

You should know that people often make a case for something that doesn’t actually exist. Take the title of this article, for example. How many of you have been telling people they are going to go to hell if they vote for Biden? My guess is, not many, if any. That is a writing tactic which is designed to distract you from the real intention of the piece.

You are supposed to react with, “My Goodness! Are people really saying that about going to hell?” No, they are not. But now you think there is a widespread problem for which Goins-Phillips will provide the solution. His is a position in search of facts. The truth is that this article introduces eternal damnation in order to create a false comparable: there’s not much difference between voting for Biden or Trump.

Especially, since your salvation is assured one way or another. The article misses the point entirely about why it is wrong for anyone who loves Jesus to vote for Biden: that it is simply not right.

This dastardly downplaying and manipulation of comparisons does a grave disservice to the church. That is because Goins-Phillips is heavily tilting toward “woke” rather than the Bible. Look at what he said:

“And it’s overwhelmingly clear that, although Scripture doesn’t explicitly name many of the issues voters are concerned about, the Bible—and Jesus—have a lot to say about the topics themselves: the value of human life, the importance of caring for the poor, the weight of justice, and the significance of loving your neighbor.”

He throws a bone to the stance conservative Christians take against abortion, in his reference to “value of human life.” The next three are all codes for leftist believers. But even in that he fails. Biden leads a movement that every Christian should find abhorrent. Let’s take stock of how Biden and Democrats handle the three remaining issues.

1.Caring for the poor. “Woke Christians” continually love to label Christians who support Trump as not caring for the poor. Yet, every city the Democrats control are hell holes and prisons of poverty. The Christian conservative wants a vibrant economy to lift people out of the Democrat plantations. You don’t end poverty by addicting people to government programs. You don’t give them the hope and the will to succeed that they need by continually convincing them they are victims. That is cruelty. You lift them out by creating a color-blind system of opportunity. Democrats have never and will never do that. And voting for them is a vote to keep these leftist gulags in business.

2. Weight of Justice: Clearly code for the anti-cop Black Lives Matter narrative and the campus social justice warriors. Never mind that black owned businesses have been burned and looted. Never mind that the incidents of police brutality, while vile and utterly inexcusable, are not the overwhelming cause of death in black neighborhoods. Black on black violence isn’t addressed because it exposes the true source of black misery in America: The Democrat Party and their corrupt elites control these killing fields.

3. Loving your neighbor. To love a neighbor, you have to love a neighborhood. Loving a neighborhood is not a photo-op by liberals acting out of white guilt. The weekend band-aids only make things worse.

Mario Murillo Ministries brings in food and clothing, but we know that is only a small part the answer. Inner city people need to see the power of God. They need deliverance and true conversion. They need churches that don’t perpetuate the store-front legalism. Rather, on-fire pastors who are called by God to work in these neighborhoods are the key. They need to get into the schools. They need to work with police. Who do you think opposes and locksdown these essential ministries? Leftist teacher’s unions and politicians. Clearly, you are not loving your neighbor by voting Democrat.

Then he says, “We should be wary of watering down the Word of God by believing—much less saying—the strength and veracity of a person’s Christian faith can be unquestionably extrapolated from how he or she votes in a few months.”

Tré Goins-Phillips’ editorial that began with the point that you won’t go to hell for voting for Biden has now evolved into the fact that how you vote isn’t a test of the veracity of your Christian faith. That is an entirely different point, and it is the real deception this article is designed to perpetrate.

Okay, let’s take that statement and time-travel it back to Germany when that nation was voting to install Hitler as Chancellor. Mein Kampf had been read by many, including Christians.  The church knew exactly what Hitler was going to do. And yes, the Christian faith of every German could unquestionably be extrapolated from how they voted. That was the whole point of Detrick Bonhoeffer’s ministry.

He said: “Silence in the face of evil, is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

You certainly will not go to hell for voting for Biden, but Bonhoeffer is right: God will not hold you guiltless. Goins-Phillips’ main point is that God will hold you guiltless.

China had one last election before tyranny took over, as did Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Elections have consequences. Votes matter.

The worst statement this writer made is the following: “Some of you may feel perfectly at home with team Trump, while others sense a camaraderie with the Biden camp.”

Camaraderie with late-term abortion? With ‘defund the police’? With looting and rioting? With men coming into restrooms with your young daughter? With drag-queen story hour? With same sex marriage? With a party that commits acts of terrorism, and then blames Donald Trump? With a party that has no idea how to run a country, so they say that Donald Trump is to blame for a 180,000 Covid deaths (when there have been 150K not 180K). Both Biden and Gore have threatened to use the military to oust the President from the Oval Office regardless of who is declared the winner of the election.

Camaraderie with atheism? Perhaps you didn’t know that the Democrat Party has made it a part of their platform to endorse and recruit atheists.

Ephesians 5:11 says, “And have no fellowship (camaraderie) with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”

(Should you want to read the Tré Goins-Phillips, article here’s the link  https://www.faithwire.com/2020/09/09/how-you-vote-in-november-will-not-decide-your-salvation/

His final statement is precisely what is wrong with the American church and the “spirit” I am continually fighting: “Instead, spend time in prayer, read Scripture, and seek wise counsel from those you trust, and cast your ballots in November with the confidence that, regardless of who is sitting behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office come January 2021, Jesus will still be on His throne and your citizenship in His Kingdom is irrevocable.”

Only a silly person thinks that Biden can dethrone Christ. Only an ignoramus is fretting that a wrong vote will put them in hell. The worst kind of Christian is the one that abuses the false narrative: “God is in control, I don’t need to worry, neither do I need to act.”

God limited Himself to prayer and intercession. He placed the fate of nations on the right choices of people. That’s why 2 Chronicles 7:14 begins with, “If my people.” We don’t need to pray for an ethereal sense of who to vote for. We need to see the handwriting on the wall. America under Biden is doomed. America in the hands of lawless God-hating leaders is a curse we will bring on ourselves.

And while you won’t go to hell for voting for Biden—if you help him win—your children and grandchildren will pay for your sin long after you are gone. No, it is not ‘okay’ for a Christian to vote for Biden.

WHAT IT REALLY MEANS TO VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE

“I am going to vote my conscience.” More often than not, the person who says that, actually means the opposite. They really mean, “I am going to do what gets me off the hook.” They are appeasing the secular culture that hates Trump.

This need to appease the culture, has created strange hypocrisies. Many American believers now accept same-sex marriage. They know what the Word of God says about sexual immorality, but they also know the price they will pay for openly opposing gay marriage, so they ‘virtue-signal.’ They say all kinds of ethereal sounding words, like being ‘compassionate’ and ‘tolerant,’ so as to look righteous and avoid persecution. Its pure double-talk.

When it comes to Trump, their hypocrisy swings to the other extreme. They go from a lax moral standard, to one that is not just strict—it is impossible. They want a sinless candidate. Sadly, Jesus is not running for office. However, as soon as these hypocrites saw the winds of culture turn against Jesus, they would not even vote for Him.

Isn’t it funny how this sinless standard was never a part of Christian circles until people started hating Trump? All candidates are imperfect, and yet Christians voted for them.

So, what is the honest definition of ‘voting your conscience’? Voting your conscience means to do the right thing. James 4:17 says, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” This is why many who claim to vote their conscience are actually violating their conscience.

The Democrat Party has left no doubt about the evil they mean to do. They want a godless America. They want to kill babies at, and even after, the point of natural birth. They condone riots, looting, and even murder. Every city that Democrats control is a smoldering wreck. Do you want them to control the nation? How can you deny the apocalyptic devastation that would ensue if Joe Biden ever won the presidency?

At this point, if you deny these facts, you are practicing evil—you are an accomplice to evil. To use spiritual camouflage while doing this, only deepens your betrayal of God’s kingdom. It is wickedness.

And don’t forget their radical agenda for your church. It was not a virus, but their venom that shut down your church. They declared war on all churches, long before the pandemic. They are lying about their motives. That’s why churches are closed while big-box stores, casinos, thugs and looters are open for business. They have singled out the church. Do you see what are you doing to your own church by letting them win?

What does it mean to do the right thing? I mean the right thing not only for your church, but for your children and grandchildren? What is the right thing to do? Stop Joe Biden from becoming president.

How do we stop him? There is simply no option, but to pray, and then, vote for Trump. That is the only way you can stop Biden. Voting for some obscure “pure” third candidate is, in reality, a vote for Biden. There is simply no way around it. Yes, you are helping Joe Biden win by not voting for Donald Trump.

Every Pastor who reads this, needs to face their own hypocrisy. You need to do the right thing. You need to stand in your pulpit and instruct the people to register to vote and to cast their vote for Donald Trump.

Please quit hiding behind the discredited notion that you want to keep politics out of the pulpit. This election left the political arena when Democrats veered left and sold themselves to work wickedness.

Not voting, when you can vote, is also evil. Sitting this out is to side with the evildoers. Again, the right thing to do is to stop Joe Biden and the avalanche of socialism that he will bring with him. The only way to stop him is to vote for Donald Trump. It is the right thing to do. Not doing it, is wrong.

Detrick Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” Now that you know what it truly means to “Vote your conscience,” you know what you must do.

WILL TWO BONE-HEADED CHURCH IDEAS COST US THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER?

Two bonehead ideas are still being used by celebrity preachers as an excuse to remain silent when they should be mustering the army of God to do her duty this November.

These ideas are putting the church back into Obama era apathy at the worst possible time.  Think of what is at stake.  The Supreme Court, the economy, national security, and everything we hold dear will be lost.  The floodgates of immorality will open.

Here are the two bone-headed ideas.  1. All government is from God and we must submit.   2. A candidate must be sinless or we are choosing the lesser of two evils.  And here are the verses abused to justify those two bone-headed ideas:

Romans 13: 1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.  “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”

1. It’s bone-headed to say we must submit to government no matter what:  No sane Christian believes Hitler was God’s will for Germany.  God raised up divine retribution on him through the nations of the world.  God works through people to restrain evil.  The church must do her duty to restrain evil.

“The authorities that exist”: This phrase means authority from God, not rogue authority.  Satan is rogue authority.   God has always balanced the threat of tyranny with authorities He raises up: “God’s minister to execute wrath.”

Moreover, it says “No ruling authority from God is a terror to good works.”  They do not persecute God’s people or enact laws to ban the Gospel.  So what do you call authority that is a terror to good works?

German believers abused these same verses to justify their apathy.  Dietrich Bonhoeffer could not open the eyes of the German church about the horrors of Hitler.  His radio addresses warned Germany.  Ironically, he blamed the fad of cheap grace and their blind submission.  They rejected his warnings and the consequence was the bloodiest world war and 6 million Jews annihilated.

Again, the point is that God works through people to stop evil.  The church’s silence in the face of evil is not noble or virtuous, it is itself evil.

dietrich-bonhoffer

Nations can and do pick evil leaders.  Even Israel picked an evil leader: 1 Samuel 8:6 “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.”   Obama was never God’s choice for America.   We have a mountainous stockpile of wreckage to prove it.

charade

When evil reigns, God begins a complicated process to reestablish justice. Human history is messy.  God works in that mess.  We want story book endings but humanity is complicated.  Jehovah works like a surgeon skillfully cutting around vital organs to get at the cancer.  Jesus spoke of the wheat and tares having to grow together until the end—otherwise the wheat would also be lost.   We have a Biblical mandate to discern and get involved in the work God is doing to save our nation.

Jehovah

2. It’s bone-headed not to vote because you “refuse to pick the lesser of two evils.”  You must discern where God is working and support it.  God uses flawed people: Daniel was probably shocked to discover that God choose to use Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel

Instead of asking who is without sin, we should be asking where is God working?

Look at what Paul did:  Acts 23:6 “But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. 7 And when he had so said, there arose a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided. 8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both. 9 And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees’ part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.”

Jesus said that the Sadducees and Pharisees were both evil.  So was Paul choosing the lesser of two evils by siding with the Pharisees?  Or, was he discerning where God could work?   Right now it is Trump He can work with.  But Trump needs a Congress he can work with.  We had better work with God in this next election.

Still don’t know what you must do?  From Nancy Pelosi to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Democrats have vowed to open borders, seize guns, redistribute wealth, skyrocket taxes, and force the church to “evolve.”

Evil is not hard to spot.  It hates, Israel, Christianity, and Biblical morality, the family, and the unborn.   The Democratic Party wears this badge of hate proudly.

How disastrous will it be for them to get the House and Senate?  It will be the same as if Hillary had won.

THE WAR ON REPENTANCE

Destroying America is one of Satan’s highest priorities.  The thought of a post-American world makes him giddy with delight. He can’t plunge the earth into utter darkness while the United States is a world power.  That’s why he’s labored so tediously, and forcefully to bring down our nation.

His great obstacle is the praying church.  They stop him dead in his tracks.

His only hope is to fool the the church into defeating itself.  Satan has studied the Bible and the church for millennia.  He knows our Achilles heel.  He finally found the right tactic: bury the doctrine of repentance.  He used cheap grace to do it.

The following are two quotes on cheap grace.  One is from Joseph Prince and the other is from Detrick Bonhoeffer. They are direct quotes.  They reveal a startling contrast.

Joseph Prince said, “His grace is cheapened when you think that He has only forgiven you of your sins up to the time you got saved, and after that point, you have to depend on your confession of sins to be forgiven. God’s forgiveness is not given in installments.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession…Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.”

The first is saying we cheapen grace by repenting.   The second is saying we cheapen grace by not repenting.

Which one do you believe?  I believe Bonhoeffer who—by the Grace of God—faced down Hitler.  Actually, there’s no choice…Jesus not only taught us to repent, He taught us to do it daily.

In Luke 11, Jesus said, “when you pray.”  How often are we supposed to pray?  Everyday.   What is in that prayer? : “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” That is repentance.

The war on repentance—and the cheap grace that started the war—is vividly portrayed in 1 Corinthians 5.  A sin in the church was so outrageous, even the pagans had never heard of it:  A man had taken his mother as his wife.

Even though it brought shame on the church, the leaders did not want to correct this man.  They declared war on repentance.

Was it because he was a popular personality?

Matthew Henry said, “He might be a man of great eloquence, of deep science, and for this reason very greatly esteemed, and followed, and cried up, by many among them. They were proud that they had such a leader. Instead of mourning for his fall, and their own reproach upon his account, and renouncing him and removing him from the society, they continued to applaud him and pride themselves in him.”

Do you really think the American Church is any less guilty of covering sin in order to protect a celebrity?  Who among us has not heard of rampant immorality?  Who among us has not seen popular leaders caught in gross sin, given a slap in the wrist and quickly returned to their pulpit?   The justification is a mantra that has become so tiresome: “grace covers all of this, I don’t need to repent.”

There are many godly men and women in ministry in America.  But there is also a club of leaders who cover for one another’s sins.  They trade pulpits, they live in regal splendor, and they protect their people from the rightful demands of God.

Paul was horrified by the wicked behavior of the leaders in Corinth.  It had trashed their reputation in the city.  Paul was so grieved that he ordered them to turn the man over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so that his soul might be saved.

Where are the men and women of God today who are horrified by unfettered carnality?   Where is the pastor who is responsible for the young man who currently preaches using liberal portions of obscene language boasting of his deliverance from “Evangelical Christianity?”

Paul brought such swift and supernatural correction that it produced godly sorrow.  And you know what… he was glad, for their sorrow produced life.  In 2 Corinthians 7:9 he said, “Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance.”  How can anyone read that and say  we never need to repent?

Their war on repentance is more evil and dangerous than you know. They have disarmed a truth that is central to saving our nation.  They have done it to control people and hold on to power that all rightfully belongs to Jesus.   It is so dangerous that God’s hand must expose this falsehood.  He must bring down strongholds of counterfeit Christianity, and restore biblical authority.

But something good will come of it.  Look for nobodies to step up in awesome power like Paul.  They will rebuke this insane foolishness and release the soldiers of Christ to true authority and levels of power we have not seen.

Small churches will be chosen to turn the tide.  Vessels too humble to image promotion will indeed be promoted.

Nevertheless, God has stopped winking at the war on repentance.  He will punish those who kept the church from “turning from their wicked ways.”  The sword is even laid at the root.  God will not let America die at the hands of those who are fighting to keep us from repentance.

Will two bone-headed ideas cost the church a third election in a row?

Will two bone-headed ideas cost the Church a third election in a row?

By Mario Murillo

There are two ideas that are bone-headed: The idea that we are choosing the lesser of two evils in this election and the idea that we must–no matter what–submit to ruling authorities.

We must realize that there is government we are supposed obey and government we are not supposed to obey.  Then we must realize that God brings judgment on evil authority–often through flawed people.

First, let’s expose the lie that we are supposed to submit to government no matter what.

No ruling authority from God is a threat to good works.  They do not persecute God’s people or enact laws to ban the Gospel.

German believers abused these verses to justify their apathy about Hitler.  Dietrich Bonhoeffer could not open the eyes of the German church about the horrors that were coming.  In a radio address in the late 1930’s, he warned the nation that cheap grace and a false sense of submission was blinding them to what Adolf Hitler was.

That same abuse of these scriptures is used by pastors right now who refuse to speak out against the Obama agenda that—left unstopped—will destroy our nation.  Hillary Clinton has vowed that she will not only continue these policies…she will increase them.

dietrich-bonhoffer

The Bible clearly defines the leadership we are supposed to obey:  God’s appointed rulers are not a threat to good works.  They are agents of justice who bear the sword of wrath against evil-doers.

God will work vehemently to get good rulers, but He will not force us to choose the right leader.  We have to live with our choices.

Okay, here it comes one last time: The rulers that God raises up—the ones Paul is referring to in Romans 13—are not a threat to good works.

Hitler was not God’s will for Germany.  He did evil and God raised the Allied army against him precisely as the word of God predicted.  The Allies were God’s vehicle to bring wrath.

Nations can and do pick evil leaders.  Even Israel picked an evil leader: 1 Samuel 8:6 “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.”

King David represented many things but there is one thing that cannot be denied: He was also sent to judge and undo the damage of King Saul.

charade

Obama was never God’s choice for America.   We have the national wreckage and his acts against the righteous to prove it.  Here is what do we do now:  Pray and discern what God is doing.

When evil leadership reigns God begins a complicated process to reestablish justice. Human history is messy and God has chosen to work within that mess.  We want story book endings but humanity is tangled in the tentacles of wickedness–that’s why it is complicated.  Jehovah works in human history like a surgeon skillfully cutting around vital organs to get at the cancer.  Jesus spoke of the wheat and tares having to grow together until the end—otherwise the wheat would also be lost.

Jehovah

Now we must see how He can use flawed people:  God is working with the human gene pool. That is why the ruler God raises up to bring justice is often flawed.   Daniel was probably shocked to discover that God choose to use Nebuchadnezzar.

Habakkuk was even more shocked when God said He would raise up Babylon:   Habakkuk 1: 5 “Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. 6 For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, A bitter and hasty nation Which marches through the breadth of the earth, To possess dwelling places that are not theirs.”

Daniel

When I hear a Christian say “vote your conscience,” they often really mean “vote for the one who has no sin.”  If God voted that way, the human race would have been obliterated.  Then they’ll say something like “we should not pick the lesser of two evils.”  How is it possible to pick an evil free human being?

Instead of asking who is without sin we should be asking where is God working?

That is exactly what Paul did:  Acts 23:6 “But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.

Instead of seeking the perfect leader we should discern who God is working with—warts and all.

The evil ruler(whom God is trying to stop)  is easy to spot: they fight against Judaism, Christianity and Biblical morality.  Selah.

50 Shades of Grace

Fifty Shades of Grace

By Mario Murillo

“On April 7, 1933, anti-Semitism officially became German government policy when Jews were banned from civil service. This was known as the “Aryan Clause”. Six days before that, there was a boycott of Jewish merchants. The Aryan Clause directly affected the German church because non-Aryans were not only baptized members of the church, but some also held offices in the church. Thus, the door was wide open for discrimination and rejection even by fellow Christians.”

“Later that month, Bonhoeffer addressed a group of pastors with an essay entitled: “The Church and the Jewish Question.” In this essay, Bonhoeffer argued that the church had the right to question and rebuke the state. Further, the church must stand up for the rights of victims of injustice regardless of their religious background. Even further, Bonhoeffer advocated the possibility of jamming the spokes of the wheel of the state. In other words, the church in Germany must be open to the possibility of taking action on behalf of the Jewish people.”  – bonhoefferblog

hitler1

By 1939 Hitler completed a long incremental takeover of Germany.  He kept asking for and getting power because the nation was enthralled and the church was apathetic.  “How could the Church in Germany sit back and allow this to happen?” that question was posed to Bonhoeffer by American Pastors at the time.  His answer was: “the teaching of cheap grace.”

Observe the following quotes:

Here is what Joseph Prince said about Grace:  “His grace is cheapened when you think that He has only forgiven you of your sins up to the time you got saved, and after that point, you have to depend on your confession of sins to be forgiven. God’s forgiveness is not given in installments.”

Now listen to Dietrich Bonhoeffer:Cheap grace is the grace we bestow on ourselves. Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession…Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.”

There is no confusion in this debate:  Prince says that repenting of sins that you have committed after you are saved “cheapens grace.”  Bonhoeffer says that offering forgiveness without repentance is “cheap grace.”how

Who are you going to believe?   Will you believe Dietrich Bonhoeffer or Joseph Prince?   I am going to take the word of the man whose reality in God empowered him to stand up to Adolf Hitler.

I do not mean to scare you but history is repeating itself in eerie and vivid detail.   Once again a nation hates Jews…specifically it  hates Israel. Once again a government leader is taking power and expanding his control over the life of its citizens.  (Its latest takeover is the internet).

Once again, and this is a gigantic once again… the church is silent and coincidently, its most popular doctrine is grace.  Not everyone buys into Prince’s hyper-grace but there are 50 shades of grace that permeate millions of Christians.  These shades of grace have dulled our natural sense of duty and our capacity to feel outrage in precisely the same way that the German Church was lulled to sleep.

US President Barack Obama holds up a cop

Let me put it another way: You know how you feel when Al Sharpton hustles the notion that we are “institutionally racist?”  You sit there listening to him and you know that no racist nation could have elected and reelected an African American president.   Sharpton has to keep narrative alive, it’s his cash cow.

I feel the same way when I hear our pulpits continually railing against “conditional love” and “performance Christianity” as if our churches overflowed with people repenting too much or overdoing holiness.  I believe that the cheap grace narrative is kept alive on life support for the money.

The American Church is not an overheating engine of dedication and sacrifice.  All too often, it is a listless, flabby, biblically illiterate, club of moody consumers that hold pastors hostage to entitlement sermons.

This is why when the Obama Anti-Christ fire drill arrived we failed miserably.  We are still failing.  I have no doubt that Obama himself shakes his head at what the church has allowed him to do.

Cheap grace will ultimately fail when it is needed most because it causes malnutrition.  David Wilkerson said “…Yet, tragically, many today still eat at the table of demons, serving their own lustful appetites, and then attempt to come to the Lord’s table and feast with the righteous. This leads only to spiritual sickness and death because these deceived ones do not discern the true Bread of God. These sickly sheep have become so spiritually weak and diseased by sin that they cannot eat strong meat. Instead, they prefer to nibble at the husks of ear-tickling teachings. They gravitate toward lightness and entertainment rather than the genuine Word. Their spiritual appetites have become dull as a result of eating too much junk food.”

The fact is that I love Grace, the real Grace of God: The Grace that buckles my knees with gratitude and makes me hate sin more than nuclear waste.   I yearn not for a shade of grace but the blazing sun of it!

How right was the author of Amazing Grace?   “Twas grace that taught my heart to fear.”   First Grace stuns us with what God did for us and yes we should feel a towering awe and fear of the mighty love of God.  Then the song writer says, “And grace my fear relieved.”  Relief comes from repentance, not from avoiding it!

Finally, the writer says, “how precious did that Grace appear, the hour I first believed.”  When you experience true Grace it becomes priceless to you.  You will want to give your all to host it.  You will flee wickedness with unbridled zeal.

Is there hope in all of this mess?  You better believe it!  It is this Amazing Grace that is about to call people to explosive effectiveness against evil.  There is a growing army of believers who are sick to death of the compromise and they are pressing into God.   The Lord of Lords by the Holy Spirit has issued the order to arm and anoint a new generation of preachers and believers against this horde of devils that is choking the life out of America.

Out of every quarter of America a signal is going out!  “Come out from among them and be separate.”  Jehovah is empowering yea, inflaming soldiers who will not break ranks and will see signs and wonders that even transcend what the Book of Acts Church experienced.  Get ready for the preachers who know God and create lethal disciples!  Men and women are emerging who will pay the price for true conversions, true miracles and true revival!

Never have I set ink to paper with a more sober heart.  Never have I approached a New Year with a deeper burden.  Our nation, the nation that you love and I love is slipping through our fingers at a rate of loss that would have been deemed impossible before now.

Our government is waging an incremental assault on the U.S. Constitution.  We all saw a direct assault on the first amendment’s guarantee of freedom of religion when Obamacare began forcing the Catholic Church to violate their convictions.

Now we have a direct attack the second Amendment by attacking the right to bear arms.

Noah Webster said it most succinctly and most eloquently:  “Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.”

Leftist politicians, militant unions, news and entertainment media have united to create an America that will remove Christian civilization as we know it.  If drastic action is not taken immediately, the despotic control of that they have seized in the information industry will soon give them an immense, continuous and increasing power over everything we hear, see and say.

Now a man’s voice echoes from down the decades to reinforce our mandate.  His name is Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

On April 9, 1945, just a few weeks before an allied offensive brought Germany to its knees and ended World War II in Europe, a young, mild-mannered Lutheran theologian was hanged by the Nazis in Flossenburg Concentration Camp.

His crime … conspiracy to assassinate Adolf Hitler.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a theological genius of the 20th century, is now emerging as a war hero, martyr and spy.

“What is so amazing about the story of Bonhoeffer is that he puts a completely different spin for us as Americans on World War II,” says Eric Metaxas, author of “Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy” (Thomas Nelson, 2010), the first biography in 40 years of this influential Christian. The book is being released on the anniversary of Bonhoeffer’s execution.

“Christians all over the world have read his books,” Metaxas says, “but very few people know the full story of his involvement in a plot to kill the head of the German state.”

Bonhoeffer is revealed in the book as one of the few German Christians who refused to appease Hitler and his perverted interpretation of Christianity. Bonhoeffer’s staunch resistance to the Third Reich and his push for civil disobedience cost him his life.

His enriched faith, however, was born in America in 1930, when spent a year at Union Theological Seminary. But the most profound American influence was at New York’s Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. There he heard the powerful preaching of civil rights pioneer Dr. Adam Clayton Powell, Sr., and the deeply emotional music of what he called “negro spirituals.”

Bonhoeffer became a passionate parishioner and Sunday school teacher at the Harlem church.

“The experience he had in Harlem deepened his faith in such a way that when he came back to Germany, he felt called by God,” Metaxas says. “It wasn’t just theology in his head. He felt called by God to obey God. For him that meant very clearly to stand up for the Jews.”

Perhaps one other experience in America cemented his “stand for the Jews.”  On Bonhoeffer’s first and only Easter in the United States, he tried to attend services at one of New York’s famous churches. But he couldn’t get in; they were so packed, you needed tickets to attend. Wanting to be in a house of worship on Easter Sunday, Bonhoeffer went instead to a synagogue, where he heard the charismatic Rabbi Stephen Wise. Bonhoeffer wrote to his grandmother …

“He delivered an enormously effective sermon on corruption in New York and challenged the Jews, who make up a third of the city, to build from this city the City of God, to which the Messiah would then truly be able to come.”

In 1914, Wise co-founded the NAACP, and he was instrumental in the creation of the World Jewish Congress.  A synagogue in New York City bears his name.

Wise’s grandson, also named Stephen, now in his 80s, has been spearheading an effort to get Bonhoeffer’s name listed with Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Authority, in Israel, as one of the “Righteous Gentiles” of the Holocaust.

What Bonhoeffer came away with from his New York experience was a willingness to stand by the true faith. He wrote to Rabbi Wise, telling him what the Nazis were doing to the Jews, and how the “religious” people were complacent.

“There were many German churchgoers, whether they were Christians or not I don’t know, but they went to church and somehow they made peace with the Nazis,” Metaxas says. “They thought there was nothing wrong. Bonhoeffer had such a devoted faith he knew without any question that the Nazis were anti-Christian and they were evil, and if he didn’t stand against them he would have to answer to God.”

Bonhoeffer believed he was called by God to help those who wanted to assassinate Hitler.

“Bonhoeffer was not a pacifist,” Metaxas says. “And that will be news to a lot of people who think of Bonhoeffer as their hero, as some kind of pacifist.”

He was willing to be involved in a plot to kill Hitler. “He wasn’t helpful as a gunman; he was helpful with contacts all around Europe,” Metaxas says. “He had the ability because he had ecumenical church contacts to work as a double agent, and that is what he was, he was a double agent.”

The plot was discovered, and Bonhoeffer was arrested in 1943.

Two years later, as the Battle of Berlin raged, it was clear that the Third Reich would be defeated. But Hitler wanted his enemies dead, including Bonhoeffer.

On April 9, 1945, Bonhoeffer was hanged. Three weeks later, Hitler committed suicide.

On May 1, German forces in Italy surrendered. The next day, German forces in Berlin surrendered. On May 7, 1945, the unconditional surrender of all German forces was signed. The war in Europe was over.

What was left in its wake was the murder of 6 million Jews and a legacy that has tarnished the Christian faith in Europe.

But the legacy that Bonhoeffer leaves future generations is of the untold dangers of idolizing politicians as messianic figures. Not just in the 1930s and ’40s, but today as well.

“It’s a deep temptation within us,” says Metaxas. “We need to guard against it and we need to know that it can lead to our ruin. Germany was led over the cliff, and there were many good people who were totally deluded.”

Bonhoeffer, says Metaxas, was a prophet. He was a voice crying in the wilderness. He was God’s voice at a time when almost no one was speaking out against the evil of the Nazis.
