America liked us better back when we told the truth.

This is written with deep love for and loyalty to the local church. There is no desire to take a cheap shot at anyone or to divide the church.  I have to write this because love does not lie or withhold needed correction.

America has abandoned God, Christian values, Israel and is racing toward disaster.  Evil festers when good men do nothing.  Denying it will not change it or make it go away.  Its effect on you and those you love will not be stopped by delusional teachings of spiritual entitlement.

So how do we turn the American Church around?  That is the question I posed in a previous post.  Now I continue to answer that burning question by saying this:  in order to turn the church around we must face the fact that America liked us better back when we told the truth.

Here is an illustration from the Bible.  Jonah ran from his calling.  This brought a great storm.  The captain had a gut feeling that nature was angry about something. They found Jonah sleeping and asked him who are you?   When he admitted he was a runaway prophet.   Jonah 1:10 tells us, “Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord because he had told them.”

Americans feel a psychic resentment toward the church.  I say psychic because it is intuitive and subconscious.  They really cannot explain why they are angry with us. They may claim it is our politics, or falsely accuse us of racism or even rightly point out our flaws but this present dislike of the church stems from something much deeper.  They are asking us “why have you done this?”

When the outside world observes our illustrated electronic happy talks they get a gut feeling that we are hiding something.   They also suspect that our nation’s storm is partly because preachers are not confronting sin anymore.  As one non-Christian pundit put it “if there was more hell in the pulpit there would be less hell in the ghetto.”

At this point in our national disaster a mega church can be like having the best party going on the deck of the Titanic.  You are having a great time but you will not save America from the frigid angry sea.

Here is the real rub…if numbers matter so much then why are we ignoring the most important statistic? Overall church attendance in America has fallen dramatically.

They liked us better when we were not trying to be liked.  There was a day when men of God stood in pulpits as free men.  They were free of any need to be liked or successful.  A. W. Tozer said, “These free men will serve God and mankind from motives too high to be understood by the rank and file of religious retainers who today shuttle in and out of the sanctuary.  They will make no decisions out of fear, take no course out of a desire to please, accept no service for financial considerations, perform no religious act out of mere custom; nor will they allow themselves to be influenced by the love of publicity or the desire for reputation.”

We are impressed by churches that can draw 15,000 people.  But that is nothing compared to back in the day when America liked us better…a whole lot better.

Look at the picture of Billy Graham in the Los Angeles Coliseum in 1963.  120,000 are inside, and another 30,000, could not get in.  On the scoreboard it says “I am the Way the Truth and the Life.  No man comes unto the Father but my Me.” -John 14:6.   Not one person was offered a door prize.   No one was in the dark about the purpose of the meeting.  Billy stood there and simply told them that they had to come to Christ or be lost for all eternity.

Look at this picture below of Billy preaching in Times Square in New York City.  We cannot even imagine anything like this happening today.

When Billy prayed for sermons he focused on hearing what the Holy Spirit wanted him to say.  He wanted a message that God could use and not words that would dazzle the audience.  Billy died to his private opinions in the pulpit.  He got out of the way so that the Holy Spirit could work on the audience.

We bought into the lie that if we made nice and took out the scary parts of our message we would be liked but we ended up more despised than ever.  Proverbs 28: 23 He who rebukes a man will find more favor afterward than he who flatters with the tongue.

Dr. Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church Dallas said Jesus did confront his culture with truth — and he ended up being crucified because of it.”  “I believe it’s time for pastors to say, you know, I don’t care about controversy, I don’t care whether I’m going to lose church members, I don’t care about building a big church. I’m going to stand for truth regardless of what happens.”

Here is my message to those of you who believe Jade Helm 15 is the start of martial law: trust me, I do not discount the possibility.  For those of you who think it is utter nonsense consider this devastating fact:  most would not be surprised that our own military could be preparing to take away our freedoms. 

In blog after blog I have been crying out like a voice in the wilderness.  America now needs a miracle that is indescribable and unprecedented.   However, my God specializes in the impossible.

Why would God bring us here at this time unless He meant to do something impossible?

Living Proof Austin, TX will happen during Jade Helm 15 this weekend.  We did not plan it that way, but God did.  There is a purpose to our being in Austin that is way beyond what we know.

I have been totally silent about Jade Helm.  I am waiting for hard evidence that our government is planning to establish martial law.

This much I do know…

-For the first time, a massive army will be walking on private property, not wearing uniforms and blending into communities.

-Millions of Texans are wondering why Texas is designated as “hostile territory” in this elaborate war game, while states that are favorable to Obama are listed as “friendly.”

Let’s assume there is no martial law planned.   That leaves only two reasons for designating Texas as hostile and those reasons are really bad. 

1. The military has made an epic public relations blunder. Texas is taking many stands against Washington right now. Texans are ignoring Obama’s executive orders. They oppose the Supreme Court rulings on marriage, Obamacare and immigration.

Why on earth wouldn’t generals realize how this looks?  How could the joint chiefs not realize that this plays right into the worst suspicions of Texans?  If this is a screw up it is a massive one and makes us wonder about our security.

2. Obama is trying to intimidate Texas and other states who oppose him. Is it really this easy for the “Commander in Chief” to step in on a preexisting military operation and tweak designations like hostile and friendly territories.  If the military can be manipulated this easily then “God help us” is not just a figure of speech.

Of course we have no reason to believe that Obama would behave in such a peevish manner…do we?

On a much needed lighter side:  If Obama is doing that, he doesn’t know Texans.  He needs to remember what the park ranger said, “Don’t shoot the grizzly with your pistol; you’ll just make him mad.”

It is a great honor to bring Living Proof to Austin, Texas this weekend.   We are partnering with Jim and Lou Lillard and House of the Lord Fellowship Church.  I regard Jim as one of the greatest pastors, spiritual fathers and men of FAITH in our nation.  It is awesome to team up with Jim and Lou.

Whatever the military has in mind for Austin, God has something greater!

It has been over a decade since we have crusaded in Austin.  This is God’s time!  We welcome our friends from this region to come and see the new surge of anointing that is resting on us.  God has added firepower to MMM in order to reach America.

The lame will walk.  The deaf will hear.  The blind will see.  God will heal cancer and every other malady in the mighty Name of Jesus.  These are not catch phrases for us…these are convictions.  We hang our lives on these convictions!  Bring all who need a miracle.  God will not disappoint them.

Ray and I are veterans at winning the lost and healing the sick.  We teamed up for many great crusades in Redding, California when he was pastor of Bethel Church.  Under his leadership, Bethel grew from 80 people to over 2,000 members.

Ray and Debra were led to move to Reno, Nevada, six months before the Lord directed Mechelle and me to Reno!  God is doing a new thing here.  Stay tuned because you are going to hear way, way more about this.

Everything about Living Proof Austin points to the fact that something urgent will begin this weekend.  If at all possible bring someone who needs a miracle.  Prepare to receive the touch from God for these desperate days.

The church in America has been struck by an iceberg.  Over one thousand preachers a month are leaving the ministry defeated by the open hostility of our culture and the draining effect of lukewarm believers.   We cannot go on this way.  There must be an answer.

What if we had a convention designed to confront the threat against the American Church?  What if we had a convention that brushed aside all of the frills and distractions and instead focused on receiving power and fresh direction?

The American Church will not be turned around by supermen but by supernatural men. We do not need better equipment, new organizations, novel methods, but vessels that the Holy Ghost can use—vessels who pray with prevailing might.  God does not flow through religious machinery but through human beings, he does not anoint plans, but people—people of prayer.

It is our conviction that there is a life available, set apart in prayer that only goes out to serve at the direct command of God.  That life can accomplish truly mighty things, things mighty enough to change the course of America.

Do not sit back and watch dark clouds gather.  Sweep away the cobwebs, underbrush and weeds of despair and take action!  It is high time for you to operate in gifts of power.  The time is now to burnish tarnished visions and restore them.

This prayer of Peter embodies this convention:  Acts 4: 29  Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

As important as the day of Pentecost was to the Book of Acts Church, the outpouring that happened two chapters later was equally crucial.  Pentecost proved that God could pour out His Spirit on the Earth.  The miracle in Acts 4 proved God could do it again.

Join us in the mountains with the firm conviction that God can and will do it again.

Dear Black People: The Democrats Are About To Break Up With You

For decades, the black vote in the United States almost uniformly has gone to Democrats.

How’s that working out? Black unemployment is twice the national average, poverty rates are higher than before Democrats offered “help,” and the education system fails a disproportionate number of black children. That’s what 50-plus years of blind voting loyalty to Democrats has earned. And, thanks to those same Democrats and the nation’s first black president, it’s about to get a lot worse.

President Obama is set to legalize upwards of 5 million illegal aliens, with the dream of granting amnesty and citizenship to 6 million to 25 million more, based on estimates and chain migration. These aren’t Ph.D.s with seed capital ready to start tech companies; they’re low- and no-skilled workers with limited English skills ready to take any job available, especially entry-level jobs.

After decades of embracing Democrats on a national and local level, the black community is disproportionately poor and, therefore, a higher percentage of the Americans likely to be competing for those entry-level jobs.

Just six years ago, this extra thumb in the eye to a loyal Democratic voting base would have been unthinkable, but Hispanics are the new dominant minority in American politics. In the future, the black vote is going to be less and less necessary to Democrats, which means they will be taken for granted even more than they have been. Loyalty in politics lasts only as long as the last election.

Democrats won’t immediately ignore black voters. It will be gradual. When loyalty is garnered so effortlessly, dismissing it out of hand is folly. But it will happen.

Democrats play identity politics – appealing to people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, income level—whatever you got works for them. If people are concerned that an “other” is out to harm them in some way, they’re extremely loyal to those who pretend to be their protector.

“Leaders” reinforce this lie because it empowers and enriches them personally. They see members of these groups as nothing more than a means to an end. Identity politics is not their genuine belief system; their agenda is. And if they have to stand on people’s necks and crush their spirit to obtain what they want, so be it.

Democrats, particularly progressive Democrats, have run every city with a large minority population, nearly uninterrupted, for generations and they’ve only declined. Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago … name any city with a large minority and/or poor population and you will find it run by progressives for the vast majority of the last 50 or more years.

Our president now hears voices from beyond.

Barack ObamaJust when you thought he couldn’t get any sadder or pathetic.  Just when you thought that maybe his bizarre behavior had bottomed out we get this:  Our president now hears voices from beyond.

The Midterm election was a tidal wave of rejection of not just of his policies but of Obama himself.  Republican gains were so deep, so widespread that even a reversal of mood in America toward Republicans won’t stop them from remaining in power for years to come.

Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are done.  Obama is all alone now.  So you would assume, that now, finally he would try to find common ground to work with the House and the Senate to move the nation out of danger…right?  Wrong, not now, not ever because he has heard voices telling him not to give in on anything.

Voices have told him that he won the midterm election.  He has heard from beyond that the overwhelming majority of Americans gave him a fresh mandate by not voting in the midterms.  Listen carefully to his words: “Still, as president, I have a unique responsibility to try and make this town work. So, to everyone who voted, I want you to know that I hear you. To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to participate in the process yesterday, I hear you, too.”

Does he have the gift of interpreting silence?  Is he so arrogant that he believes that the message of an election only matters when his side wins?

He is delusional and will now flood us with executive orders that America truly hates. This is a scary delusion to have no matter who you are, but when you are the leader of the free world  it is a downright terrifying situation!

Final note: 

Let’s clear the air about something.  I write these blogs in obedience to God and out of love for America.  If you think that I am petty or outside my jurisdiction then I would suggest that you are not listening or watching what is happening to America. 

Moreover, if you are spiritualizing the idea that Obama and his agenda is Gods’ choice for America then I would interject that you are not reading your Bible clearly regarding wicked rulers and the Church’s historic role in “obeying God rather than man.”   

We have crossed into territory so dangerous that we are about to reach a point of no return.  I have no doubt that God is trying to awaken the American Christians and you in particular to stand against the evil tide and believe God for America to once again be one nation under God.

Today we honor those who paid with their blood and their lives fighting to keep us free from enemies outside the United States.   How can we, on this day of all days, remain neutral against the enemies of freedom within the United States?  How can we be silent when so dear a price was paid for our freedom to speak out.

Lastly, if you bend time prophecies to justify apathy toward current events then I will charge you with defeatism and unbelief in God’s power to intervene with revival through prayer and preaching.

Chris Christie’s re-election as governor of New Jersey earlier this month sparked another round of speculation that he would run for president in 2016, and, this time around, that he might choose New Mexico’s Republican Governor Susana Martinez as his running mate. In the homestretch, Martinez stumped for Christie in areas of New Jersey densely populated by Latinos. Statewide, he won a majority of their votes, even more than the vaunted 40 percent that George W. Bush won in the 2004 presidential race.

Democrats dismissed Christie’s success among Latinos as an anomaly that was due to his charisma and praiseworthy response to Hurricane Sandy. They noted the different outcome in Virginia, where Democrat Terry McAuliffe defeated Republican Ken Cuccinelli, who drew attacks for mentioning rat control and immigration policy in the same breath. Perhaps such parries and thrusts are only public pronouncements, and Democratic strategists behind the scenes are dissecting what happened. I hope so, because counting on your opponents to screw up isn’t a sound political strategy.

Republicans are eager to avoid an embarrassment in 2016 like the one they experienced in 2012. They attributed Mitt Romney’s defeat in no small part to his poor showing among Latinos. Almost the morning after, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus began a hard and steady drumbeat calling for “Hispanic outreach,” a term that paints a picture of aimless Latino voters who are there for the plucking if candidates just show up. Last month, the RNC allocated $10 million to outreach, hiring directors such as Jennifer Sevilla Korn — the former director of the conservative Hispanic Leadership Network — and sending foot soldiers to more than a dozen states to convert Latinos.

So far, Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have captured most of the headlines, but with support from groups like the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, established in the late 1960s, and newer ones including the Latino National Republican Coalition and the Future Majority Caucus, scores of Latino conservatives have won elected positions across the country. The Future Majority Caucus wants to recruit more than 100 Latino Republicans to run for office in the near future, boasts about its multimillion-dollar fundraising successes and claims responsibility for helping to elect 15 new Latino Republicans in nine states in 2012 alone. This is the Latino conservative political machine at work.

Will a generally conservative platform that largely avoids appeals to the politics of ethnicity win the support of Latino voters?

As Latinos have spread across the country, so have Latino conservatives. Rep. Robert Cornejo hails from Missouri, Rep. Paul Espinosa from West Virginia, state Sen. Art Linares from Connecticut, and state Sen. Ernesto “Ernie” Lopez from Delaware. They’re lawyers, businesspeople and educators. Cornejo graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and is a partner at a law firm in Columbia. Espinosa is the general manager of a communications company and has served as president of a local Rotary Club and chamber of commerce. Before he ran for office, Linares volunteered for Sen. Marco Rubio. And Lopez is an administrator at the University of Delaware.

Thirty-something Rep. Marilinda Garcia of Salem, New Hampshire, is also on the way up, according to the RNC. She was first elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives at the age of 23, after graduating from Tufts University. Like other young Latino Republicans, Garcia aspires to higher office and is expected to run for the U.S. congressional seat currently held by Rep. Annie Kuster, a Democrat.

Some younger Latino Republicans identify with the histories that shaped Latino conservatism during an earlier era. The 25-year-old Linares says he’s influenced by his grandparents’ escape from Cuba after the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. But most up-and-coming Latino Republicans walk in step with new-wave conservatism. They advocate policies indistinguishable from the mainstream or far right elements of their party: pro-growth business measures, lower taxes, smaller government, curtailed entitlements, pro-life, school choice, anti-Affordable Care Act. The list goes on, begging the question: What’s Latino about them at all?

Many seem to want to pull the GOP more toward the center on comprehensive immigration reform, a goal supported by some 80 percent of Latinos. But legislators such as Rep. Raúl Labrador of Idaho, who bailed on bipartisan deliberations this summer, cast doubt on even this mildly moderating influence. Others, including Governor Martinez of New Mexico and Gabriel Gomez of Massachusetts, who lost his bid for a U.S. Senate seat earlier this year, emphasized that their bootstrapping work ethic and traditional religious beliefs somehow stemmed from their Latino upbringing. On her website, Marilinda Garcia mentions her mixed Italian-American and Spanish-American heritage. But more often, conservative Latinos eschew their ethnicity — note the absence of accents over their names — and any discernable connections with something that might be called Latino politics.

This is another reason to take Christie’s success among Latinos seriously. Many have noted that Latinos aren’t a politically coherent group. To win their support requires microtargeting specific Latino communities. President Obama used this strategy to great effect, placing distinct ads among Cubans and Puerto Ricans in Florida, for example.

Clearly, Democrats aren’t just sitting at home on their hands, watching a tide of Latino conservatives roll over them. They’re fighting for immigration reform, economic justice, educational opportunity and other things that many Latinos care about.

At the same time, Republicans still have a long way to go. Poll after poll suggests that Latinos view them as less sensitive to their needs than Democrats. Latinos hold them responsible for blocking immigration reform and causing the government shutdown.

But as part of Christie’s re-election campaign, a Mexican American from New Mexico appealed — apparently successfully — to the largely Puerto Rican and Dominican Latinos of New Jersey, where Mexicans and Mexican Americans account for only 14 percent of the Latino population. Might this suggest the potential of a generically conservative crossover appeal? If I were a Democratic strategist, I wouldn’t bet that it doesn’t.

Both Supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and President Obama share a disdain for the American Constitution.  Both have sworn to uphold it and defend it but both have openly admitted that they see it as a limitation to the America they want.

Ginsberg recently told Egypt that she felt the American Constitution was not a good model for their constitution, she said, ““I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a Constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the Constitution of South Africa.”  Obama said, “I wish I could bypass Congress and change things on my own.”

It is time for you the reader to see the great lie and how it affects you!

Jefferson penned these immortal words, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”  The American dream draws its life from these words.

Ginsberg and Obama dislike Jefferson’s words because of the word “pursuit.”   They believe that government should not merely provide the freedom to pursue happiness… government should guarantee happiness.    A cradle to the grave nanny state.  However, this gives government supreme control of your life and that control has never delivered happiness.

This victimizes minorities by making them dependant.  I am an American with Latin roots and I believe that Latinos have a shot at prosperity if they do not allow themselves to be defined as a victimized minority.

I know firsthand what a ghetto can do to your mind.  Again and again I have said that Jesus did two miracles for me.  First He got me out of the ghetto and then He got the ghetto out of me.

Latinos should not be fooled by Obama’s pandering to us.  He has had years to deal with issues that affect the Latin Community and he did nothing.  He only wants to be reelected.

The eyes of every Latino should be on the economy.  You want a paycheck not food stamps.  There is a reason that Obama is furiously tossing out Band-Aids and false promises.  He has epically failed to fix the economy because he despises the pursuit.

Consider what voting money to yourself through Obama will do:  Mr. Rangel a Latin leader from Chicago said this “Hispanics haven’t endured the same suffering and struggles of the African-American community,” he says. Hispanics’ “struggles are different. Their struggles come from a desire to get ahead and leaving their nation and coming to a new land. And those are tough things, but there’s no way that you can compare that struggle to the struggles of slavery and Jim Crow and Reconstruction. There’s just no comparison.”

“No matter to politicos—they’ve bought into this narrative in legions. “Democrats are so intent on making Hispanics the next victimized minority seeking entitlement programs and all that, This is a great community that’s poised to do great things—but you gotta challenge it. Don’t pander to it.”

 “The nationalist [Mexican] flag-waving, the youth being taken out of schools to protest—I think those are wrong tactics. The easy answer for people seeing hundreds and thousands of kids out in the street protesting is [to think] that those kids should be in the classroom.”  “We need to show the rest of the country that this is a good community, that we’re gonna play by the rules, play hard, and get ahead, and it’ll be good for the country and good for our community.”

To all Christians I say, do not sell your soul because Obama has promised you free money.  This is not free money, only government controlled slavery.  We already know the result.  It creates and sustains ghettos.  You need to realize that Obama wants you to keep him in the White House with a vote that keeps you in the ghetto.  More later today.
