It started again after Trump ordered terrorist Qasem Soleimani killed. Critics are falsely accusing Trump of making the world more dangerous. The truth is, it was Obama—with his foreign policy of weakness and capitulation—that intensified international tensions.
Obama continually gave things away, getting nothing in return but contempt for America.
Trump on the other hand—by refusing to accept anything but victory—defused the danger level of the world.
Obama’s weak approach is the bane of liberal thinking. Underneath, is the belief that victory is not possible. The best they can hope for is a tenuous treaty that they hope will avoid a confrontation. Nothing is settled. The undercurrent of defeatism ran through all of Obama’s policies, and he found a half-cure for everything.
Tragically, the church learned Obama’s way of making things more dangerous. The trend in church is to get people to like us better. Ironically, it has only made them hate us more.
Arthur Matthews was an amazing man. Decades before American Pastors began imitating Obama apology tours, Matthew saw it coming:
“Old Testament examples of prayer at work portray most dramatically for us the believer’s authority over all the power of God’s enemies. There is a finality that will not be gainsaid in the way the superior strength of alien armies is disposed of as God’s servants. This finality is not seen in the political bargaining that characterizes our day. Compromises are made, peace treaties are signed, and the peacemakers move to other danger spots; but the fighting still goes on. Are we allowing our disillusionment with the world’s acclaimed peacemakers to influence our thinking on spiritual warfare? Are we really convinced our call is to spiritual welfare and peace through victory?”
It’s almost as if he is asking, “Are you acting like Obama in regard to the things of God?”
Christian leaders need to examine themselves for this hypocrisy. Ask yourself, “Have I condemned Obama’s defeatist approach while practicing my own version of it?”
Another area that requires examination should be centered around outcomes. If the intended goal of the “user friendly church” was to reduce hostility, then why—under their watch—has hostility towards Christians and laws banning religious freedoms increased dramatically?
They didn’t hate us like this when we preached boldly. It is possible they now instinctively feel contempt for our compromise? They respectfully disagreed with us back then, but are repulsed by us now.
Nowhere is this defeatism more glaring than in the attitude of the church at large towards prayer and revival.
They don’t really believe prayer and revival can change our world. They don’t pray as if prayer had power to change society. They don’t preach revival because they can’t imagine it happening to their people. They see their congregations as coddled masses who are not willing to pay the price for revival.
Trump shows us that peace through victory means calling someone’s bluff. Trump did that to Iran when they threatened us with the end of the world if we walked away from that hideous agreement Obama made. But it turned out to be all talk.
Christian leaders must learn to do that with Satan. Call his bluff. Tell him he’s the defeated one! Behave like Jesus won a total victory on the Cross. Christian leaders must do that with culture. Call the bluff of all those ‘experts’ who insist we must alter our message in order to change society.
Listen again to Arthur Matthews: “In any situation where Satan dominates and threatens, God looks for a man through whom He may declare war on the enemy. He purposes that through this man Satan be served notice to back up, pack up, and clear out.”
Peace through victory calls the devil’s bluff on the highest level. It declares that the Earth can still be enveloped by a massive act of God, as God said it will:
“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea” Habakkuk 2:14.
By holding to a policy of peace through victory, Trump has already seen results no one could have imagined. It is time for Christian leaders to repent of their defeatism and embrace the power of prayer to make tangible changes in the hearts of men and women and to impact world events.
Arthur Matthew said, “It is the man who prays who exercises supremacy even over international situations. Men are going to have to acknowledge the peace will not be brought through politicians, but through the intercessor who has learned to wage spiritual warfare and wins peace over the principalities and powers in high places.”
Today you find yourself facing threats that were unimaginable just 10 years ago. Changes are dizzying. Political and moral evil is on the march. The child of God navigates a world that is explosive.
Do you have children and grandchildren who depend on you? That makes it all the more difficult. You wonder what will happen to them. You pray, “Lord, how can I protect them in such a violent time?”
Our souls are vexed by the parading of evil, perversion, and bloodshed. What was once in the back alleys is now front and center for all to see.
For this and many other reasons, we need something fresh and unshakable. We need whatever it was Daniel had in the lion’s den. We need authority to open prison doors. We need courage that conquers the future even before we get there. We must walk a walk that conquers sickness, dwindling resources, and any sudden attack on our soul.
We also need to see the tactics of Satan. He knows his time is short, he is racing to take as many down with him as he can.
Powerful preaching will only take us so far. Worship music may quell dismaying emotions temporarily, but we need something more—something unshakable in the core of our being. We need an anchor that holds us, no matter what.
What do we need? What fear-killing insight should burn in our soul?
It’s this: Imagine if you could hear Jesus praying for you. Imagine what that would mean to you. Imagine how that can kill your fear of any shocking attacks that come? Imagine being transported in a vision, and beholding Jesus mentioning your name. Imagine hearing Him taking your needs, your burdens, and your cares directly to the Father.
Stop right now. Open your heart wide. Let me give you the fear-killing facts about Jesus praying for you:
Jesus started praying for you the instant you got saved. The world can’t enjoy the benefit of His prayers, but we as believers can. John17:9, “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.”
Jesus will never stop praying for you. Hebrews 7:25, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Can you see Him? Right now He is lifting your situation before the Father in unending prayer.
Jesus is asking the Father to protect you from Satan. John 17:15, “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.”
Jesus has prayed in advance of your greatest hour of testing, just as He did for Peter. Luke 22:32, “But I have prayed for you (Peter), that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Here is the most important fact about Jesus’ praying for you: He says you are His child. Let’s take a closer look at what that means.
His love for you is not just tender—it’s fierce.
Consider the momma grizzly as she snuggles her cub. She is the essence of tender love. Now, try to come between her and her cub. The loving mom instantly becomes the most terrifying creature on earth. She will stop at nothing to protect her cub. Both are expressions of the same love…a love God but in her.
The same Jesus who comforts you with unmatched tenderness turns His wrath on the evil one when you are threatened. It would be breathtaking to see the contrast in His intercession before the Father when you need comfort, and when you need to be rescued from the attack of the evil one.
Jesus will not let anything come between you and Him. Paul said it this way: Romans 8:38, “For I am fully convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, nor the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
If you could hear how Jesus is praying for you right now, you would not fear a million enemies.
In pulpits all over the world, thousands of sermons will be preached to millions of people. Some of it will do more harm than good—way more than you know.
Please believe that I am not taking a swipe at all preachers. Most preachers are sincere men and women of God. However, these worthy voices are often drowned out by the modern preaching which leaves out the Cross of Christ, the Blood of Christ, and Bible verses that deal with sexual sin, and hell. And that is far more dangerous than you know. It has contributed to the moral/political ignorance of millions of believers and can cost us our freedom as Americans.
The modern preachers who leave all this out do it because they say they want to offer hope. Hope is their big word. Here and now, I am accusing them of offering at best an inferior hope, and at worst, a false hope–a very dangerous false hope.
Paul the Apostle had a totally opposite view about preaching hope. He said, “Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.” (2 Corinthians 3:12). To give hope, these preachers leave out the truth. Paul believed that to give hope, you must leave it all in.
He said in Ephesians 6:19, “(pray) for me, that utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Twice in this passage, he refers to boldness.
Again, in 2 Corinthians 4, he detailed why it is such a disaster to leave anything out: 1 “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”
Any preacher who handles the Word of God deceitfully and puts a veil over it makes himself a villain to lost souls. Worse still, that preacher is in partnership with the devil. When they put a veil over truth, they invite Satan to blind people to it.
Every day we are losing ground because of this artificial preaching. There is a reason the Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of truth. You cannot be anointed unless you are telling the truth.
Here is what this preaching has cost us so far: Because the church did not take a unified Biblical stand on sexual immorality, the Left has systemically canonized the lie that Christian doctrine is hate speech.
Chick-Fil-A has been banned from opening an outlet at several airports. What did they do wrong? They stood by their Christian values and they gave money to Christian groups. City boards voted to shut them down because they gave to “hate” organizations. Had we taken a stand, we would not be in this bind.
More damage: these modern preachers have made their congregations biblically illiterate. That is why a huge number of Christians including famous “gospel” singers don’t know the values of the Christian faith—don’t know how to answer their culture—don’t see anything wrong with abortion or same sex marriage—and don’t know enough to vote for righteous laws and leaders.
Let’s get back to the issue of hope. I am asking these preachers a simple question: how can you say you are bringing hope, if you leave out the truths which carry that hope?
Here is what I mean: real hope comes from true conversion. Only the soul that has repented and utterly opened their hearts to new life can feel the surpassing hope of Christ.
Let me show some examples of true hope.
The Cross. Until someone realizes that they are lost—until they have been broken by encountering the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary, the true hope of Christ cannot take hold of them. But, brother, when it does take hold, it is awesome to see! You will have a convert who is in church for all the right reasons. You have a walking miracle that is contagious.
The Blood of Christ. Only those souls who know that the Blood has been applied to their sin, can feel clean—a moral clean that nothing else can give them. Moreover, the most dangerous young convert is the one who knows they have power over the devil.
“And they overcame (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives unto death.” (Revelation 12:11)
Sexual sin: Millions of people who genuinely want deliverance can’t find it because society has normalized their behavior. But that does not change the damage. For example, the suicide rate for transgender people is 33 times higher than the general population.
People look at verses such as 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, and call them hateful—but take another look: 9 “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you, once. But you were washed clean, and you were set apart unto God, and you were pronounced righteous, by trusting in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit of our God.”
There are two takeaways here:
1.Sin is sin. Theft, murder, idolatry, drunkenness, and all of the various sexual sins, are listed side by side.
2.Paul ends this passage by describing true deliverance from sin. Salvation in Christ offers hope of cleansing, sanctification, and justification. That hope is not available if we do not clearly confront the issue.
The kind of hope that the misguided modern sermon offers is, in reality, little or no hope. They tout the good life. But if that is hope, then why are billionaires killing themselves? Besides, what are we doing advancing the same lie as the world?
When the lukewarm believer leaves church on Sunday morning, they are swooning in the superficial glow of the happy sense that God is not mad at them. What they don’t have is the blazing reality of being set free and filled with peace that passes all understanding. They lack the power to answer a sick world’s cry for help.
American preachers used to be famous for being reformers and agents of change. Now they are performers who have agents.
These ‘happy time’ sermons must stop now. They are as much of a threat to America as the leftist radicals. THE BIBLE NEEDS TO SET FIRE TO OUR SERMONS!.
Every night, under our tent we kill the lies contained in these modern sermons by proclaiming true hope. Lost souls hear truth under the power of the Holy Spirit. God confirms the Word with miracles and the un-churched come running forward to receive new life. Glory to God!
Remember this…Paul said that it was because of the greatness of the hope we have that we are bold to tell all the truth!
1. The Left will finally be blamed for the misery they have created. Trump’s Tweet ripped the mask off of the masters of misery who have taken billions of tax dollars and squandered them through corruption. Every major city in America that is controlled by Democrats is a run-down smoldering wreckage of human tragedy. There is so much violence and addiction that the people imprisoned in cities like Baltimore could justify seeking asylum in the United States.
No longer can the architects of identity politics hide behind false charges of racism. The victims in the inner city now know it is not white privilege that has been keeping them down. They are finding out that the money was sent, but it never got to them, because of Democrat politicians presiding over them like slum lords.
And the leftist misery is not merely limited to the inner city. Never have this many high school and college students been this drug addicted or suicidal. Their death spiral is directly tied to the values instilled in them by activist educators and administrators who cajoled them into experimenting with drugs, gender fluidity, and atheism.
The result was not an enlightened generation as promised, but an entire generation of catatonic, burned out empty shells. Where youthful hope and aspirations should have lived, their teachers injected only darkness and cynicism. Where confidence should have blossomed, instead liberal indoctrination brought crippling fear that drove them to embrace socialism.
When I stand in the tent and call our young people to give their lives to Jesus, I don’t have to spend time convincing them of their need for God. The Leftists have done the damage that now drives them to Christ. Many other preachers are seeing the same thing.
2. A massive number of believers will force denominations and mega-churches to quit playing games and start winning souls. Thousands tell me they feel insulted by the diluted feel-good sermons that are lathered on them every Sunday. These believers are also sick of carnal Christians who delight in all this fast-food-faith and superficiality.
Watch out! There is a growing core of believers who have separated themselves from the world and are determined to only know Jesus. They are discovering the power and joy of God’s grace in a dark time. They will force desperately needed changes in church life.
3. Revivals come in dark and evil times, not in good times. Hurricanes are caused by nature filling a vacuum. The Left doesn’t realize it yet, but they have created a generational vacuum. They starved our youth of the presence of God, and by doing so, they did not destroy the need for God—they made the hunger more acute.
The rampant hate for God you see among the young people in America can be misleading. This can bring great hope to those of you who have children who are running from God. Just be aware that after you start declaring a miracle over them, they often get worse, but don’t be fooled: remember Saul of Tarsus’ condition just before his violent conversion. By faith, paint a mental portrait of your child serving God. Hold it in your spirit and trust in the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God!
The greatest promise for that is found in Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy…” Not only does that apply to a worldwide harvest of souls, but I am convinced it is our children who will be reaping the harvest!
4. Prophecy will Trump Policy. Pun intended. Donald Trump is an example of what I am saying. Policy said he wouldn’t win. Prophecy said he would. Every generation is guided by two forces: Policy and Prophecy. Policy is the law and the edicts of man. Prophecy always swallows policy. Christmas is a vivid example. No doubt Caesar Augustus felt sovereign over the earth when he ordered the world to be registered. His policy seemed to force Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. But policy was simply serving prophecy…namely, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One Who is to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2)
True prophecy is a bulldozer that overrules the plans of Satan and man. Prophecy is the WORD that will prevail when all the dust settles and the smoke clears. The mad ravings of society will bow down before the purposes of God.
The bulldozer of prophecy is not moved by the mad railings of potentates and tyrants. It is impervious to weather, economic downturns, and persecution. The treads of prophecy roll over the plans of men and the intentions of armies—as well as the highest threats of mankind. Prophecy is the fire that cannot be snuffed out. Isaiah 40: 8 declares, “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”
5. One of the most powerful forces in the church is Grandma. Satan fears her because she prays like no one else. She’ll keep praying and bombard heaven when even the most avid intercessor has tossed in the towel. Grandma shakes hell. Nothing can come between her and her grand-babies. The devil may think he has an unbreakable hold on a young person, but no devil in hell, no drug on earth, no seductress, cult leader or gangster is safe from her praying. Chains break when grandma gets to work. And there are millions of them across America praying right now.
In conclusion, I have never been so thrilled to leave the danger of the Christian preaching circuit and to find my way to the safety of the ghetto. You and I are getting in position to receive the great American harvest. It is beginning in California and burning its way east! Glory to God!
A massive number of Christians are experiencing a strange miracle. And we are discovering that this was predicted—in detail.
The Holy Spirit is separating them. He has selected them for special grace and power to accomplish mighty acts at the edge of history. They will be uniquely equipped to face the sophisticated evil of our time. But it all begins by making peace with the Holy Spirit and restoring His rightful place in our hearts and in the church.
Take a close look at the book of Acts and you will see the disarming down-to-earth way they related to the Holy Spirit. While they revered Him deeply, they had a sense of His nearness and His involvement in their day to day operation. They behaved as if He was close by and they could almost see Him. Most of all, they anticipated His instructions.
Acts 13:2 “As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. 4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.”
Millions are now hearing the same call: “SEPARATE TO ME!” The Holy Spirit told David Wilkerson about this coming separation, and how pockets of prophetic people would huddle together across our nation.
He said,“God-hungry people are saying among themselves, “This is not it. There is something more. The bigness and the sensationalism of it all has left us empty and dry. We want more. More than entertainment. More than big, showy buildings. More than a shallow celebrity gospel. We want deeper values. We want to see Jesus. We want spotless robes of righteousness. We want to go back to doing things in total dependence on God.”
Many of these people were chased out of churches that were once fiery, Spirit-filled churches that had taken on a new ‘seeker-friendly’ format. They saw their church now focused on church growth, down-playing the presence of the Holy Spirit, and only designed to attract outsiders. They felt punished for wanting a move of God.
They are fed up with the world system—especially when they see it operating in the church. They can’t stomach the glitzy entertainment centers anymore. They believe we have no time to play games. They are frustrated that church is catering to the lukewarm members.
They are done with egocentric preachers with grandiose, expensive and carnal visions that having nothing to do with soul winning or revival. They accuse these preachers of being distracted—even derailed from their first love. Disciples are abandoning “attraction” churches, and something revolutionary is happening inside them. God is starting a fresh movement.
David Wilkerson explained more of what he saw coming: “God is revealing to all praying people that a glorious new work of the Spirit is about to break forth. God is going to shake everything that can be shaken. He will tear down the old political, backslidden, ecclesiastical system. He will disown the formal, super-church structure. He will chase out of His presence all who are engaging in self-promoting ministries.”
The praying people he mentions will force changes. They are a new breed for a new need. They are frustrated, hungry, and their numbers are growing fast. They are coalescing around certain truths: fasting, repentance, and holy surrender to Christ.
Smith Wigglesworth saw this separation coming way back in 1927. He predicted the same group of people that David Wilkerson described: “All the people which are pressing into and getting ready for this glorious attained place where they shall not be found naked, where they shall be blameless, where they shall be immovable, where they shall be purified by the power of the Word of God, have within them a consciousness of the very presence of God within, changing their very nature and preparing them for a greater thing, and causing them to be ready for translation.”
Both men believed that this gathering unto the Holy Spirit would begin after a great falling away.
Wigglesworth said, “We have to see that these days have to come, before the Lord can come. There has to be a falling away. There are in the world two classes of believers. There are believers which are disobedient, or I ought to say there are children which are saved by the power of God which are disobedient children. And there are children which are just the same saved by the power of God, who all the time are longing to be more obedient.”
I know that the moment predicted by these two men is upon us. Every day, I receive another account of frustrated saints who have been suddenly driven to hours of prayer. Many are fasting. A vast number are about to find each other in a true outbreak of holy fire. Millions of believers across America feel they are being separated to the Holy Spirit for some amazing, yet unknown, reason. David Wilkerson talked about a “work” within us. Smith Wigglesworth talked about “pressing in.” The image is clear…the Holy Spirit is stirring souls across the nation. They are done with the overuse of big screens, skinny jeans, and fog machines.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal! But mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds!
These frustrated saints are being pulled away from fleshly things, even as a spirit of prayer is overtaking them. They are surrendering to a special work of the Holy Spirit. A fresh work of the Holy Spirit has begun, and the impact will soon be widespread in all the earth!
These are the most vicious attacks I have ever heard of. And they are not just happening to weak Christians—they are happening to well-known leaders. I get prayer requests. They are the most gut-wrenching I have ever read. It would not surprise me if you are locked in the battle of your life. The times we live in are terrible enough but this is an added attack.
The flood of reports of these attacks put me on red alert. I dove into intercession—searched the Word of God—reviewed the darkest moments of my life. I tried to excavate treasure from my own victories in Christ.
I asked the God to help me understand the new vicious attacks and a formula from the Bible to fight back. Slowly, the evil purpose unfolded. We are dealing with an evil snake in a frenzy because his time is short. The attacks seemed to fit into three categories that match the way serpents attack in the natural. Here are the 3 most blatant attacks right now.
1.The serpent’s bite. You feel poisoned and gradually losing control of your body and mind. Fearful images flood your mind. You reel under a cloud of confusion. You are exhausted. The least demand of your day can drain you. You may find yourself crying and unable to explain your emotions. You are gripped with paralyzing feelings of dread and sense disaster is just around the corner.
2.The serpent’s squeeze. This attack came out of nowhere and changed your life in an instant. You feel like you are suffocating. You want to scream but your voice is trapped within you. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
The goal of this attack is panic. The enemy wants you to do something rash. The devil wants you to abandon your place in God. He wants to deceive you into allowing permanent damage.
3. The serpent’s claws: This attack tears people apart. For silly reasons, people take offense. Disagreements escalate and kill relationships. Marriages are breaking up over trivial matters. Churches are splitting over stupid issues. Children are turning on their parents without warning. Lifelong friends turn into worst enemies bent on each other’s destruction.
Here are a few words about what you must do about these attacks.
The Holy Spirit kept saying, “Learn how to react to your attack.” Jesus made it very clear to me that even though I cannot choose what attacks I will face—I can choose the result.
My victory was tied to my reaction. I know that sounds simplistic but reaction is the key. It kept coming over and over…react, react, and react. Then it turned into REACT, REACT, and REACT! Finally, it was R.E.A.C.T. An acronym for 5 life changing words: REMEMBER—ENFORCE—ABANDON—CONTINUE—TRAIN. Take these steps to stop these vicious new attacks and launch an effective counterattack!
Remember! You must remember the amazing victories of your past and how you won those battles. You must remember how God delivered you in the past. Psalm 20: 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Nehemiah 4:14 says “remember the awesomeness of God and fight…”
You must remember what God has prepared for your future. Romans 8:18 “the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us.” All you want to do now is to get relief from the raging storm. Satan wants you to forget two things: your legacy and your destiny.
Enforce! Things are not what they seem. Satan is the master of disguise. Our enemy kills through special effects. Bending reality is his stock and trade. The goal of his smoke and mirrors is to get you to accept disaster. He cannot kill you—but he can use panic to get you to harm yourself. Reject the panic and enforce the panic on him.
Abandon! In every attack there is something you must abandon, something that you are holding onto that is actually holding onto you. You may want something bad to happen to someone else. You may be clinging to a destructive relationship. Forgive your enemy; cut of the parasites, lighten your load so that you can attack with speed and clarity. Someone or something is no longer supposed to be in your life. T.D. Jakes said, “Their part of the story is over, let them go.”
Continue! You are under attack because you did something that Satan wanted stopped. Continue to do what he does not want you to do. Your victory is tied to your intention to do more than you did before. Look at Peter. He was beaten for the healing of the man at the gate beautiful and ordered not to preach about Jesus. What was his reaction? To pray for boldness to preach and for more miracles! Acts 4:29,30 Lord behold their threats and grant unto your servants that with all boldness we may preach Your word while You stretch out your hand to heal and let signs and wonders be done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Train: 2 Corinthians 2: 11 “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” Paul is saying that what he learned from past attacks made him wiser against new attacks. Learn from this and train for future attacks. General Patton said, “no amount of courage will avail against an educated bullet. ” He was talking about the urgency of training. We must become an educated bullet! Ask yourself, what did I learn from the attack? What pitfalls am I going to avoid next time? What weakness in me does the enemy use to get in and disrupt my life? What will I do now to keep friendships strong, my body healthy, my children safe, my marriage loving and my money secure against future assaults?
He yelled “all Jews must die” as he slaughtered them. I wanted to scream. I wanted to write a blistering attack on evil. I wanted to verbally eviscerate the media and politicians for equating this nameless, heinous act with other crimes that don’t come close. This was a special evil that should have stopped the nation.
Instead God helped me to avoid the trap myself. The trap that would politicize this horror. Instead, I heard the voice of God say, “the only right thing to do is to pray.”
We can’t touch this evil for political gain without practicing evil ourselves.
So, I want talk to you about praying—praying so that we drive violence and evil back from our nation. Pray for terrified families who lost priceless loved ones. Pray that we will become so sick of violence and hate that we collapse before the mighty God.
But more than that let this be our moment of resolve to learn to pray as we have never prayed before.
The Bible shows us that supernatural evil can establish itself in a culture and open a floodgate of misery. How these spirits can be confronted and driven back in prayer should be the study of every child of God.
All such prayer must begin with a revelation of the original . The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ inflicted the greatest wound evil has ever known. Today, we need evil to take another massive hit in America. To do this we must realize that we are in a war, an invisible war.
The idea of an invisible war raging all around them paralyzes most Christians. Their daily life overwhelms them. They are losing their health and their mind because of supernatural stress. Yet, for all of this, they refuse to open their eyes to the war that is costing them dearly. But see it they must, or they will live out the rest of their days discouraged, helpless and exhausted.
Yes, it is chilling to realize that something supernatural hates you and those you love. It is even more frightening to discover how much destruction to our nation is caused by these principalities and powers.
The Bible has methods for dealing with Satan’s agenda. God yearns to reveal Himself as a mighty warrior on behalf of those who will take the time to become armed and dangerous. But instead of heeding the cry of the Holy Spirit most believers are content to live in dread, defeat, and confusion.
The evil one of course, loves it this way. He wants you to live on the defensive. He wants you reacting instead of acting. He wants you to feel that darkness is inevitable and that the works of vile men cannot be reversed. In fact, the wicked one wants you to believe that the overpowering demands of your everyday life are so great that you cannot even consider being a warrior in the larger battle for the soul of a nation. How better to dismantle America than to prevent the army of God from ever entering the theater of battle?
Let me speak plainly. Have you had enough? Are you ready to reopen the Bible and apply its message of supernatural victory to your life?
You road map to victory begins by asking the right question.
1.What is God’s will for me as a warrior? We must answer the bigger questions but this one comes first. The Bible tells you that your FATHER wants you strong, securing the thoughts and emotions in your mind to force them to submit to truth. Confess that your father wants to make you mighty through training for and living in a culture of victory forged by habitual breakthroughs in battle.
Ephesians 6:10-13 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
You must settle the question of your victory in this war. Yes, you must fight but you are designed for triumph in battle. Admit that the evil one has had the upper hand because of your ignorance of the Word of God and the heart of God, and that you are done with this ignorance once and for all.
That you may not yet know how to fight does not matter at this point. You may not yet have your emotions under control. What you need now is to know beyond knowing that God your Father has assured you inward and outward victory.
2. Now you must take your stand. “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” – Ephesians 6: 14-17
This is your personal declaration of war. Some balk at this because the idea that they are challenging Satan awakens fear. “If I announce my opposition to Satan I open myself up to attack.” This is a huge misnomer. You are already under attack. The only difference now is that you are fighting back.
It is a disastrous myth to think that if you leave Satan alone that he will leave you alone. As I have said before, that is like believing that the bull will not charge because you are a vegetarian.
Since you are going to be attacked anyway, you must learn how to return fire. Nothing matches prayer for retaliation against Satan.
3. Now we must begin praying prayers that get through and prevail. The truth that God has limited some of His activity to our prayers is a great mystery. However, we do not have the luxury of waiting until we unravel this mystery before we avail ourselves of the great privilege of prevailing prayer.
When Jesus taught us that we need to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” the clear message is that God waits for us to enforce the victory He won on the Cross. Simply put, heaven comes to earth in pieces, in segments as the product of fervent prayer. We are commissioned, empowered and trained to take high value ground that was once the unchallenged property of Satan.
It is urgent that you see why that after Paul told us to be strong and to put on all of the armor in Ephesians 6, he concludes his admonition with verse 18:“praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
Prayer and prevailing prayer can look the same but they are completely different. You may have been praying and then settling for something that is not the will of God. The angel told Daniel, “Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia.” -Daniel 10:12, 13.
Whatever it takes: The modern spoon-fed believer cannot imagine warring 21 minutes let alone 21 days. Yet, it is this tenacity in intercession that changes the world. You pray fervently, utterly and without regard to time or personal sacrifice because your marriage, your children, grandchildren and the miracles that yearn to come are worth it!
Consider that Daniel did not have the great intercessor Jesus at the right hand of God. The victory of Calvary was still a future event and its eternal benefits were not yet in place. How much more then should we feel bolder in prayer than Daniel!
First you counter punch the attacks in your soul. Then you take on the attacks on your loved ones. You enlarge your retaliation to envelope health, finances, taxes, enemies, and your entire daily grind.
With each victory comes a deeper resolve. You exhale knowing you are finally on the offensive driving back devils that you once tolerated for reasons you cannot even remember. The days of dread are in your rear view mirror.
Yes, you will be attacked again but now instead of dread you welcome the opportunity to exercise your new found boldness in prayer and to see the new kinds of intervention that the Holy Spirit will unfold.
4. Now you have earned the right to call America back to God through prayer! You can ask questions you never asked before. Arthur Matthews said, “Questions again flood our minds. How do these spirit powers exert their influence in society? Where do they get in? Is there a distinctive modus operandi that would help us identify them? What can or what should we be doing to control and prevent their intrusion?”
Here is a historical fact that should deeply sober every American Christian: Israel lost the knowledge of God in one generation. Judges 2:10,11 says, “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel. Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals.”
Satan has saved his very best lie for God’s remnant. Remember that Jesus said “to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” Satan is plying a special lie on the elect of God! Satan is even imitating the voice of the Holy Spirit to tell this lie! He is doing this because this remnant is the final firewall stopping his agenda for America.
In a nutshell, here is the deceiving message from the devil to the righteous core: “The best days of the Church are behind you. God must judge America to allow the return of Christ. God cannot do it again because He does not want to. The bottom line of this lie is the times are too hard, the task is too great and we are too small.”
I have heard from sources I trust that our government has dreadful plans to overrule the Constitution and come after our freedoms. What do we do with this information? The saints in Damascus heard Saul of Tarsus was coming with authority from the government to arrest and execute Christians.
Those believers could have cited end time prophecy to justify running and hiding but instead they took their stand. They set themselves to fervent prayer and unleashed heaven on the situation. A light blasts Saul off of his horse ending the threat. As a bonus to this victory, the Church gets a new Apostle named Paul.
In this hour, our revival prayer must be mingled with two seemingly opposing attitudes: An utter desperation that admits that God must do it again, and a violent confidence that God will do it again!
